Chunnin Exams (Tadashi VS Masashi)

It was time. The past week has been chock full of rapid whiplash, full of different emotions, unbeknownst to the kid, and a reason to keep on moving. Tadashi was tremendously nervous, having heard horror stories from his friends about the Chunnin Exams; spitting out ripe and young Genin, into battle-hardened Chunnin, leaving the ones who lost, wallowing in their puddle of self-pity. Yet... For some reason, the young Namikaze felt exonerated, happy to be alive. For the first time this week, blood was rushing in anticipation... It felt good! The crimson haired Genin had his signature jersey zip infused with the properties of the normal Flak Jacket, the new trend, his katana was strapped on his left hip, for practical use, parallel to his Hunting Knife, strapped to his right hip also. Almost open, his left Ninja pouch was just under his Katana, and his right Ninja Pouch was parallel to the left, just under the Hunting Knife. Quicksilver Earring, on his left ear. "I must win, so I can advance on to Chunnin, and honor Mom." The crimson haired Genin was pondering while 20 meters to the left of the center of the inner ring. He had calmed down, his eyes stoically and resolutely looking up to the sky, his look on his face, steadfast, awaiting his opponent, on the other side.

Masashi's Stats:

The day of the Chuunin Exams had arrived. With it, instructions of what were to be happening. From what the not Masashi had received dictated, there would be a one on one elimination-style tournament. His first opponent was a Genin from Konoha called Tasashi. Obviously the note had no other details about the shinobi, which was fine; The Uzumaki didn’t need information on his competition. He would show how far he’d progressed in his training to date. WIth that, the man got ready for the battle and made his way to the arena.

It was a fairly large arena; three tiers, however the tiers had no way of entering them. The lower two tiers were not worth using as far as Masashi could tell. There was a moat around the outer edge of the lowest tier. Again, not something that Masashi would really be using due to him not having water release. There was someone already on the top level, likely his opponent for this fight. Why they were standing on the edge of the arena was anyone’s guess. Masashi would make his way down one of the bridges and stand opposite Tadashi, on the right side, ten meters from the center point and the outer edge of the top tier. That meant Tadashi would be 30 meters away from him. Masashi was not one to make the first move. He would see what his opponent would do and plan accordingly.

The new opponent arrived, 20 meters parallel from Tadashi to the right, as the crimson haired Genin could feel this new flow of chakra along with the other audience members, yet he couldn't pinpoint exactly where his opponent was, thank god he had his eyesight focused on the entrance, or else he would have been twirling around like an idiot. The crimson haired Genin quickly scanned up the opponent, sizing him up as he would have called it. The name was Masashi, a Genin of Hoshi, that's all that the invitation to the Chunnin Exams said. The young Namikaze had been cooking up some strategies during the waiting time of the Chunnin Exams, and the time is nigh to initiate it. Tadashi walked to Masashi (About 35 Speed) until he reached 5 meters to the left of the center, so about 15 meters away and parallel to Masashi, before making a 30-degree bow, Tadashi was focused, and wouldn't let his guard down during the bow,

"It's a pleasure to meet you, sir, I wish you the best of luck."

Tadashi straightened up, and regardless of Masashi's response, he would begin. A black aura enveloped him, a unique type of chakra pulsating through his veins, his eyes, normally gold would turn to pitch black. Horse and Tiger were the handseals he weaved (Speed 110), as a Fireball, 2 meters in diameter, would spew out of Tadashi's mouth towards Masashi, (Speed: 40, Power: 40, Range: 20 Meters.) While the fireball was spewing out of his mouth, with his right hand, he would dig into his left ninja pouch, pulling out 3 Kunai, integrating it with Chakra, as he threw them towards Masashi, across and in an arc swipe, (Speed 110, Sharpness: 60, Max Range: 52 Meters.) Combining with the now formed fireball, hiding them, one was thrown at Masashi's left shoulder, the second was thrown just above Masashi's chest, so it wouldn't kill him, but inflict damage. The last one was thrown at Masashi's right shoulder. All three Kunai were spaced out 2 meters from each other and parallel to each other also, from across. The crimson haired Genin would remain vigilant and on guard, by unsheathing his katana, holding it on his right hand, keeping Martial Prowess active, looking closely to see the results.

There was no proctor in the exam area itself. That led Masashi to believe that the fight was to start the minute both opponents were standing on the platform. The boy across from him moved towards him slowly. Masashi wasn’t in a hurry to do anything, so he waited. As the boy got within 15 meters, he would bow and utter one sentence. “It's a pleasure to meet you, sir, I wish you the best of luck.” Masashi would nod, since formalities at this point weren’t something Masashi cared for, especially when there was no Proctor to signal the bout. He also made sure not to never make eye contact with Tadashi, as there were techniques out there that required direct eye contact to work.

Immediately after that, his opponent would make the horse and tiger hand seals, and a fireball would slowly make its way towards the Uzumaki Genin. Partway through the fireball, a trio of kunai came flying out. They were likely thrown to try and cut him off, as with them being 2 meters away from the center kunai, they would not even come close to hitting him. The one flying right at him was also fairly easy to dodge. As soon as he saw the fireball block Tadashi’s vision, he would draw a kunai of his own as he crouched down (speed 125) and launched it through the fireball coming towards him. His kunai (Speed 107, Sharpness 83, range 53m) would not hit the kunai that was aimed at him, and would fly slightly to the left of the center of the boy’s jutsu. Should Masashi’s Kunai hit, it would pass straight through Tadashi’s chest, creating a hole in his right lung. Not fatal if medical treatment was acquired in a reasonable timeframe. In fact, it was something that Masashi himself could potentially treat when the fight ended. As Tadashi’s Kunai flew over his head, he would scream out, pretending to have been injured in the hopes of keeping the boy distracted. Not forgetting about the fireball making its way towards him, Masashi would make his way backwards away from the fireball at a speed of 41, so that the fireball didn’t overtake him. Assuming his movement was not interrupted, Masashi would end up 15 meters from the center of the ring, putting him halfway between where the fireball and the edge of the ring was.

Tadashi would hear a yell, among the torrent like blaze of fire, that would make Tadashi's eyes widen in confusion. He had never expected that those Kunai would hit Masashi, was he slower than he? This was going to be a piece of cake... A steel blade, crafted after the shape of a leaf, zoomed at Tadashi's right lung, (Speed: 107, Sharpness: 83.) If it wasn't for his Reaction Time of 230, the Kunai would have pierced into his lung. Thankfully, with his Speed of 110, barely above the Speed of the zooming Kunai, Tadashi's body would simply turn left, as the Kunai would skid off, 26 meters away from Tadashi, successfully dodging the attack. The young Namikaze would conclude 2 things about Masashi,

1. Masashi is equal if not faster than Tadashi's current Speed.
2. Masashi isn't done fighting yet, regardless if he sustained injuries or not.

In order to defeat his opponent, he would need some company. In one fluid motion, he would sheath his katana, no longer needing it, for the time being, then he would form the Clone seal (Speed: 110.) Sadashi, a complete replica, and a clone of Tadashi would appear, 2 meters to the right from him, after the smoke would clear. The fireball would have almost reached its range but had about 5 meters left of distance. He would have to move quickly, as a faint yellow aura would have overlapped with the Martial Prowess on Tadashi, (Speed: 160.) Sadashi would remain put.  Tadashi, so that Masashi wouldn't notice would dash (Speed: 160) on the edge of the left of the fireball, reaching it, extremely quickly. At the same time, Sadashi would sense Tadashi's distinct chakra, forming the Ram hand seal. Disappearing in black lines, only to reappear at the right edge of the fireball, being 2 meters to the right of Tadashi (Speed: 156, on both.) The fireball would extinguish, after meeting 20 meters of distance, Masashi would most not likely not notice Tadashi and Sadashi during the dash, since both had the fireball as a cover. Making Tadashi and Sadashi 5 meters from Masashi, Masashi in the middle of the 2, 1 meter spaced out from both of them.

At that same time the fireball extinguished, Tadashi, without hand seals, would look at Masashi's eyes which were most likely fixated on the fireball, to activate this jutsu. Chakra would bind Masashi, head to toe as if he were bound by invisible, steel chains, stopping him in his tracks, helplessly watching as the two would perform their techniques, his hands would also be chained, so he couldn't perform any hand seals or move them.  Sadashi would pull out 2 Shuriken from the left and right ninja pouch, one each, with the left and right hands on each one, not crossing hands, and in a fluid motion, he would throw the left shuriken, held on Sadashi's left hand to throw at Masashi's left rib, the right shuriken held on right hand would be thrown at Masashi's right rib. (Sharpness: 50, Speed: 100) Both shurikens would drive into Masashi's bone, causing lots of pain, but it's nothing that the medical ninja can't heal. Sadashi, after fulfilling its duty would disperse, and at that same time, Tadashi would unsheath his Katana, held on his right hand, and his Hunting Knife, held on its left. Masashi would most likely still be immobilized. The crimson haired Genin would let the same Chakra he used for Chidori, flow on his katana, (Speed of Lightning forming: 70, Power of Lightning: 70, Health of Lightning: 70. The sharpness of Katana: 90.) The young Namikaze, with all of his might, would dash at Masashi, making an X with his two blades. His katana would slash, diagonally left from Masashi's left shoulder to right rib, downwards, and his Hunting Knife would slash diagonally right, downwards, mirroring the katana in areas of slashing, (Total Sharpness of Katana: 137, Sharpness of Hunting Knife: 97.)  These slashes would drive into Masashi's skin, piercing tissue a little bit, but it would heal. With the effects of Chidori Katana, it would numb Masashi, unable for him to resist falling on his back. As he fell down to the ground, Tadashi would point his katana to Masashi's throat, as the Chidori Katana would die down, the shuriken on Masashi still remaining.

"It's over, please surrender."

He said stoically, still keeping all of his boosters, and remaining on guard.

The boy had dodged his attack it seemed, and was now two of him were coming at him, one faster than Masashi could move right now but still within his reaction time, and he had a yellow aura around him. They were trying to use the fireball as a form of cover. ‘Guess it’s time to go all out.’ Masashi thought to himself as he activated his Legacy of the Uzumaki. Black Uzumaki clan symbols appeared on the palms of both of his hands, as well as one in the center of his forehead. By that time, the two Tadashi were roughly one meter away from him. Since Masashi had not met Tadashi’s gaze, nor would he in any way shape or form, the Temporary Paralysis technique would be ineffective. This allowed Masashi to do two things at once. He would begin moving at a speed of 175; He would move around behind the Tadashi with the yellow aura around him, grabbing the boy’s left arm and using it as a fulcrum while exhaling a thick purple smoke. The purpose of the grab was simple, Masashi had activated his chakra absorption technique to steal chakra from the boy while he knocked him out with the gas he was breathing out. His chakra absorption technique would steal 85 AP from Tadashi. Direct contact of any kind was necessary and since he was faster and with the small distance between them, there was almost no chance that his opponent would be able to evade it. The Purple smoke would extend out 5 meters in a cone at a speed of 80 and then spread around, becoming a dome with a radius of 5 meters, centered on Masashi. The gas has a power of 105 and causes unconsciousness should the user inhale it (and the health be lower than the power of the jutsu). As Tadashi was now between Masashi and his clone, should the clone throw the shuriken, they would impact against Tadashi instead. No point wasting words until after the fight was over.

Black marks with indistinct symbols would form on Masashi, but it seemed as though the opponent would evade the effects of Temporary Paralysis, as for a brief moment, due to his Reaction Time of 230, Tadashi's and Masashi's eyes didn't meet. Making Sadashi hold his Shuriken in place due to his Reaction Time of 230, not wanting to harm Tadashi if Masashi somehow got to him. Tadashi, due to momentum, couldn't stop immediately, but could still react to anything that Masashi could do, and instead of holding his katana as if he would slash, at a Speed of 160, the crimson haired Genin would hold it vertically, from his head to upper body. Hilt at head level, and blade at hip level. A blue glow would appear on Masashi's hand, and Tadashi would immediately know what it was, due to the Jutsu Encylopedia he owned. It was the Chakra Absorption Jutsu that allowed to steal chakra upon contact, it also had a blue glow that surrounded their hands. The young Namikaze instantly knew what Masashi was going to do, due to his spar with Nekrun, and Nekrun used that jutsu against Tadashi, trying to absorb Tadashi's chakra with his arms. It was a high chance that Masashi was going to do that, giving Tadashi prep time to prepare, and he was right. At a Speed of 175, Masashi ran around to Tadashi's back in the left, the crimson haired Genin barely keeping up to him, by not letting his back turn to his opponent's front. (Speed: 160.) The opponent would attempt to grab ahold of Tadashi left arm at a Speed of 175, but at a Speed of 160 and a Reaction Time of 230, the hand of Masashi would be met with a flat steel of a Health of 50, Tadashi only needing to move his katana to block the hand of certain death. At the same time, purple, poisonous smoke would extend 5 meters at a Speed of 80, in a cone formation, covering Tadashi first, then covering Masashi also at the same rate of Speed. The smoke was dense, Tadashi barely seeing, but when the smoke was formed, at a Speed of 160, Tadashi would skip back 10 meters away too short of a time to not breath, now 5 meters away from the smoke. Instantly, as soon as Tadashi was out of the smoke, not even 5 meters away yet, Sadashi would disperse on his own volition, unless the shadow clone was already killed off due to the poisonous smoke.


When he landed 5 meters away from the smoke, he would sheath his katana and form the Horse handseal (All at Speed of 160). Tadashi would expel a stream at the poison cone that after 1 meter, that would expand into a great cone of fire, 50 meters tall and wide, outwards, at every direction that would envelop the cone, the crimson haired Genin would reduce the power of the Jutsu, because any more would reduce Masashi to ash, (Range: 70 Meters, Speed: 100, Power: 30.) Masashi couldn't outrun the jutsu, it was nearly impossible to, and if he got hit by the jutsu, he would suffer burn marks that would give him a debuff of -10 Speed, and -10 Strength. The fire cone would extinguish, once it would hit the inner ring, revealing where Masashi was, most likely burnt to 2nd-degree burns, no longer able to fight due to the excruciating pain.

Jutsu Used:

Tadashi could see that something was up, that much was certain. He had raised his sword arm up so that hilt was level with his head, and the blade was angled down and to his left. If anything that made it easier for Masashi, since instead of reaching for his arm he could simply touch the hand that was closer to him now. He would still move around Tadashi, but to his right rather than his left, since the boy's right arm would provide coverage from the knife in Tadashi's left hand. The boy was fast, but still not fast enough to prevent what Masashi was doing. His lightly glowing hand would touch the boy's wrist as he moved past him which drew chakra from the Konoha Genin, the smoke coming out of Masashi's mouth would hit him full in the chest and circled around him. Because he had not taken proper measures to defend against the gas, he would invariably inhale some, as Masashi could see the smoke enter the boy's nose as he drew breath. Tadashi would collapse to the ground, unconscious. Whether the boy collapsing was due to the chakra drain or the gas, Masashi did not know, but he would keep up both just in case. The clone had dispersed in a puff of smoke before they were completely surrounded by gas so Masashi knew who the real Tadashi was. He checked the boy's vitals, they were stable, and he was breathing normally, which worked in Masashi's favour as that would cause him to inhale more of the gas. His opponent was out of the fight at this point, so Masashi would pull him out of the smoke cloud to the middle of the platform in order to give him some air, now that keeping him out cold was pointless. He would however continue to drain the boy's chakra, just in case he happened to be immune to his toxin for some reason, highly unlikely that it was. It was a good fight, and Masashi had no regrets on how the fight had progressed to this point. 'I guess I move on to the next round now.' Masashi thought to himself.

Tadashi had calculated incorrectly, he had been far too transparent in his motives in blocking Masashi's attacks, instead of hitting Tadashi's left, the opponent needed to move to the right, a cakewalk since he just needed to go the other direction, as he simply nudged the crimson haired Genin, creating an unsightly and painful sensation, as if that part of the body was being cleaned and drained thoroughly, in one concentrated area. "Damn!" He yelped in pain, opening his mouth for a few seconds, and that was a fatal mistake. Poison rushed into his mouth and nose at a Speed of 80, unlike most popular beliefs, the poison was tasteless, almost like he inhaled foggy air. The crimson haired Genin's feet would begin to wobble, now unstable to stand on, and his brain would feel, lightheaded as if he was about to go to deep sleep, and right that was, he was going to sleep for a while... Tadashi's eyes began to flicker closed until he dropped to the ground, his eyes would stay almost open, while he tried to crawl out of the poison, 

"I can't lose, not yet, I can't, I can't......" He desperately thought, holding on to the impossible chance of winning at this stage, tears were about to fall out of his petite eye bags, but he couldn't cry. 
 
His eyes shut, restricting all movement, entering the unconscious phase, losing all of his 5 senses. Masashi would carry him to the center of the inner ring, draining chakra, but the young Namikaze couldn't remember nor feel the sensation. The Medical Ninja would arrive shortly, carrying him on a white, elastic stretcher. This was a different path than what Tadashi expected it to be, but with a different path, come different challenges.
