Chunnin Exams: Yoi v Suzume v Byakura
Sat Nov 30, 2019 2:48 pm
Stats can be found in this thread, except I now have used 1 military rations pill, bringing me to 0.
The arena is 40 meters in radius. The inner 30 meters of the radius is a flat sandy surface. The outer 10 meters of the radius is a moat 10 meters deep. Each person has an entrance every 120 degrees. The door closes behind them as they enter. The walls surrounding the arena go up 25 meters before it encounters an open sky above. There are stands where people can watch on top of the wall.
Yoi nervously walked through the hallway, a pitch black area with only a bright square of light far in front of him. As his feet touched the ground, oh how he longed for them to be silenced and not echo loudly around the long and seemingly endless hallway. As the Yuki walked, he felt nervous, yet excited. No matter how scared he had come back from the mission in which Calin had chosen to not kill them, but let them live with horrid memories and the echoes of his words. As Yoi moved through the hallway and near the light, one phrase echoed through his head. "No one is out here to save you boy. I’d think twice next time before stepping foot the gates of your precious village. There are monsters out here."
Yoi, the first time he had recalled these words, had trembled in fear. Now, these words were a burning fire in his chest that could never be put out. He would become strong enough to step foot outside of his village and beat the likes of that despised man, Calin Uesugi. He would slay the monsters that stood in his path. But Yoi knew, to achieve this large and daunting goal, first, he would have to take small steps. Like each step, he took through his tunnel. This Chunnin Exam fight represented more to Yoi a promotion. It meant hours and hours of work. It meant the lost limbs and the scars that he was covered with. It meant that he could slay the likes of Calin Uesugi and he could protect the young and old, civilians and shinobi of Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leaves.
The Yuki was now only a few meters away from the tunnel entrance. He was wearing a light blue shirt, with white pants, dark blue sandals, and bandages wrapped under his clothing. His hair had grown back by now. The Yuki now jumped across the moat, landing 5 meters past it. His hands were by his side.

Suzume sighed as she waited for her two opponents to arrive. One of them finally showed up, and she glanced over them once. With her hands in her pockets, she shifted her feet. Her hair was tied into two messy buns, and she ran her fingers around them to ensure they were secured in place. She wouldn't want to give the others an advantage by letting her long hair flow. Having not much more to do than to stay put until the call to fight was made, Suzume did some push up and sit ups or whatever was useful for warming up for events like these.

[OOC note: Suzume and I have come to the agreement to skip Byakura, as I have contacted Byakura 3 times already with no reply.]
The Yuki stood in the arena, waiting for his opponents to show. He really wanted a good fight. If the Yuki managed to move on to the next round, Tadashi would most definitely sweep the floor with him. And in the last round, the Yuki had never done any real fighting. The youth wanted the opportunity to fight someone, because without it, he wouldn’t go stronger and he couldn’t protect Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leaves, from the likes of Calin Usuegi.
Yoi, activating his Quiet Footsteps technique, waited as the announcer said what was happening. Apparently one of his opponents hadn’t shown up. This opponent was by the name Byakura. However, Suzume was here. The person was standing around in a similar position to Yoi. They were on the opposite side of the arena, each of them 5 meters past the moat. The Yuki looked, avoiding eye contact, at his opponent, and said, “Well, are you ready to do this?” The Yuki is prepared to react to anything and his hands are by his sides.

With permission from Suzume, I will be skipping her, meaning I will be moving on to the next round. Memorizing 515/2000 of her chakra signature. Will make the rest of my claims at the end of the Chunnin Exams.
