They left in the night.
Following the merchant caravan's string of lanterns bobbing in the night, Asami took to the well-traveled road to the once great Konohagakure. Arrangements had been made for her boat to remain moored by in Tea country, so now all she had with her was the pack on her back and her wits. In a way, it was freeing; she had walked this path once before with Naoki and Hayate. This time, however, it was different.
She would travel and arrive alone.
