Back In the Hospital (Kizaru & Suzume)
Sat Nov 02, 2019 3:42 pm
Kizaru had blacked out from the blood loss in his leg. The last thing he remembered was the mist in the arena starting to lift. He had lost his exam fight, quickly too. Luckily nobody would have been able to see him struggle so pathetically due to the obscuring mist. He would have hated to come off so sad in front of the hokage.
He came to again laying in a hospital bed. It wasn't as comfy as the one he had last time, he figured it was because this was a less serious case. He had just gotten out of the hospital not long before, with new legs to boot. The fact that he was back there again to heal his leg so soon was depressing. He closed his eyes as soon as he realized where he was. He did not want to talk to the nurses just yet.

The first match of Suzume's chunin exams were completed. One might have expected the girl to have some more excitement about her achievement, however. She never thought the day would come, and it sucked to not have the first comrades she made from the academy by her side. If there was one thing she was glad about, it was that she hadn't become so ruthless as her ex-teammate had been. Kizaru would have made for an easy kill, but she did not want to repeat what ex-teammate had done.
Instead, she crafted a get well card for her opponent. It wasn't anything overly glamorous, just a simple "Sorry for injuring your leg in the chunin exams, hope you recover soon" with some softly coloured hospital themed decorations. She signed her name after the message with tiny but fancy lettering, and placed the card in a neatly sealed envelope with his name on the cover. Upon arriving to Kizaru's room, he seemed to be understandably tired and so she quietly place the card upon his windowsill, hoping not to disturb him.

With his eyes shut tight Kizaru appeared to be sleeping, but he heard footsteps in his hospital room. He didn't want to deal with questions and tests from nurses just yet, so he slowly peeked his eyes open to see who it was. To his surprise he could see Suzume, his opponent in the chunin exams, walking over to the window. The puppeteer scanned the rest of the room quickly and was glad to see no hospital staff in sight. His leg hurt a little but he'd rather grin and bare it than face the medics at the moment.
'Why is she here? Did she feel bad about how the fight went down?' He wondered.
He figured he should say something so he spoke up, "H-hey. Suzume right? Good fight back there." He said with a weak smile.
