Hunting Strange Beasts (C-Rank Mission)
Wed Jan 22, 2020 10:51 pm
Mission Details
Seven. That was the amount of times that Fu had attempted to capture a rather small and elusive salamander that happened to only be native to the forests of Konoha. Fu was not hunting the salamander for sport, instead she was hunting the creature because of its unique poison that is a crucial component in an antidote that was needed to cure a disease that was spreading in a neighboring country. Fu was not specifically sympathetic to the reason as to why they needed to poison, but figured it was a mission that would test her skills as a self-proclaimed huntress- however she surely underestimated how tricky these specific species turned out to be. Fu was unsure why such a mission was posted, especially for another country. She figured it was apart of some campaign to attract more allies- or business. It was not the nature of the shinobi world to do such things in good faith- but the village was paying, and the requirements happened to be something of interest to the girl- thus she found herself waiting. She waited and waited and waited some more for someone to finally show up.
At the gates of the village leading into the forest, a girl with shoulder length powdery blue hair and orangish eyes could be observed leaning against a notice board fidgeting with a piece of paper. She was also wearing a tan and sleeveless shirt that covered what was north of her belly button. She was also wearing ankle length black shinobi pants and sandals. Attached to her waist was a belt that contained shinobi weapon pouches. Attached to her left arm was a armband depicting the Konoha insignia which signified her position as a village shinobi.
It was 9AM and the Sun was continuing to ascend. Fu’s head hovered over the piece of paper that she was now holding in her right hand, blocking the sunlight so she could make sense of it. The paper provided details of the mission and information on their target:
**This special type of salamander is approximately 1 foot in length and has the ability to turn invisible for short periods of time which make catching them tricky.
They are attracted to water and have a fond desire for blueberries, information that is listed in the mission itself. There is also a picture.**
At this point the information had already been engraved in her mind. She proceeded to rip the piece of paper up and trash it as it was no longer of use to her. Still, leaning against the notice board, Fu would wait for her mission teammates to arrive- hopefully they did not keep her waiting too much longer; she was beginning to become restless.

It was just a little before 8am when Sai awoke. He had not gotten any sleep over the last day, his body feeling restless. It was a while since Sai had actually been on a mission that required him to use any energy, but yesterday he was given the task of capturing a Salamander. The beast was needed for it poision, that could be used to help some of the sick people in a country far away. Sai did think it was kind of weird that the beast only lived in the forest around konoha, but he quickly moved on to a different subject. Sai was excited, he knew the beast would atleast try to run. That would give Sai the perfect opportunity to use some energy chasing after it, and with its ability to turn invisible a day like today would only get more exciting as it goes on. Sai would atleast get some enjoyment out of it. Unlike most people Sai actually like the animals like Salamanders, the had such cool tricks. Some of them could also dig underground very good, theres no telling when having a mole that could go invisible would help.
There was also a surprise for Sai, He would be working with a fellow konoha ninja on this mission. He was excited because its the first time he got to do a mission like this, let alone with someone else. They was suppose to meet on the roof top of a building not to far from the center of town. Sai wasent to sure where the salamander would be at next but he knew with working together they would catch him. He was suppose to be meeting at the notice board at 9am but Sai was late. He completley forgot where they was suppose to meet, by the time he did it was already 5 past nine. He quickly arrived their by taking the roof top route.
Upon his arrive he would see what looks like his team mate for the day. As he approached her he seen that she stood about 5 ft 7 in height, not to much shorter than Sai. Her body was lean and muscular yet still feminine. Her eyes are what cought his attention, they had alot of different mixtures in it. Sai couldnt help but think it to be cool.
"Name is Saizou, im taking it your my partner this morning", Sai said as he walked closer to her extending his hand. He hoped she wasent someone hard to work with, he just wanted to have a relaxed fun mission

Snow was walking through the village with his mission summons in hand. He was required to report to the notice boards at 8:45 am so he would be able to meet the team that he was going on the mission with, and hit the road. Snow couldn't have been more excited to join in on a mission, really wanting to meet some new people that he could possibly go on even more missions with. He already had a set team, but there was nothing wrong with going on missions with others while the team was not currently on task.
He didn't know much about the mission except for the overall goal. The task of the mission was to find a particular beast that lived within the forests and rivers of Konoha. This was exactly in his well house so he was sure he was going to provide the team with some sort of use on this mission. He checked the time inside the market that he was walking by, it was only 6 in the morning so he still had plenty of time before he was going to need to report to the notice board. He figured he had the time to go to the training grounds for an hour or so to get some training in before his mission.
As he was running toward the training grounds, he began thinking about what he was going to train for the few hours that he had to train in the training grounds. He checked his bag to make sure he had his practice shuriken. He saw that they were still in the bag and he headed deep into the woods. When he was a safe distance away from the village training grounds, he found a small clearing that would give him a good amount of space to train. He grabbed one of his practice shuriken and he set down his pack. He stood at the edge of the clearing, staring at a tree that was 20 meters away from him. He threw his shuriken, sending it flying directly for the tree. He then performed the hand seals necessary for the Shuriken Giant Body technique.
As the shuriken would still be flying toward the tree would suddenly grow one hundred times the size of the original shuriken. Immediately after, he would perform the hand seals to perform the Shuriken Shadow Clone technique. The massive shurikens would then be consumed by a cloud of smoke, then on the other side of the smoke, one thousand of the giant shurikens would come out and slam into the tree. After he performed this technique, he went over to the other side of the clearing to see what the damage was. The copies had already disappeared, but the damage was still real. The shuriken that he threw was not sharp, so it did very little penetration, but it surely beat the hell out of the tree that the shuriken had come into contact with.
He trained for another hour, trying to get the combination of the expansion and the multiplication of the shuriken as close together as possible before he finally had to leave the area that he was training and head back into the village to join his teammates at the notice boards to head off. Snow packed up his shuriken into his pack, zipped it up, and threw it over his shoulders. He then ran back to the village as fast as he could, the excitement barely being held in.
When he arrived at the notice boards, he saw his already teammate Saizou there with another individual that he assumed was gonig to be his other teammate. "Hey Saizou!" Snow greeted Saizou as he walked up with his ever present smile and out stretched his hand, looking to shake the woman who was standing next to Saizou's hand. "Hello. My name is Snjor, but most call me Snow. It's a pleasure to meet you." Snow made sure to sound his normal happy and kind self. He hoped she would return the handshake. So he would wait there patiently.

Re: Hunting Strange Beasts (C-Rank Mission)

Another day another chance to prove oneself in terms of capability and skill. It was the middle of the morning as the sun shined it's rays upon the land as, inside his mansion, Vergil prepared his clothes and gear for what was to become yet another mission for his daily life. He was supposed to meet another ninja who he had a past dealing mission wise with which always was a good thing as he already was familiar with their capabilities. Putting on his coat and picking up his sheathed sword from it's placeholder above his fireplace he made his way to the door as Saori saw him out as always. "Be careful, sir, and have a good time." He nodded while stepping outside before turning back to her with his usual stone faced expression. "If you could please have something with miso prepared when I get back." With that he walked away towards the road as Saori bowed and waved goodbye behind him. Walking along the route to the meeting place he took notice of the shops getting ready to open and thought of which one of them he might visit upon finishing his mission and making his way back home. Saori's birthday was approaching so he figured he might get her something nice to surprise her. He didn't have a clue what she might've liked, though, and he didn't exactly have time for brainstorming sessions about it so he pushed them out of his mind for now as he made it to the meeting spot.
Upon making it he saw that he was the latest to arrive as two others besides Fu was there that he didn't recognize. Keeping silent he walked up, left hand gripped around his sheath as usual, and silently stood aside from them all while being close enough to hear conversation yet not close enough to be awkward. The one called Snow had already introduced himself to Fu but the other one's identity he had yet to learn. He would remain silent, however, unless spoken to expecting Fu to recognize him and understand that he was there to also be a teammate for the mission.

Re: Hunting Strange Beasts (C-Rank Mission)

Kamari Uchiha was once again looking at the mission boards for something to do to make some quick cash. Besides, it would be an opportunity to make some new friends, or enemies. Kamari finally found a mission: capture some special salamanders in order to help synthesize an antidote for a certain poison. Kamari figured his Genjutsu would be useful in capturing these animals as he could use it to lure them into traps or even subdue them outright. Kamari’s eyes lit up when he saw the list of ninja who had already signed up. Snow, Sai, and Fu were going on it, along with some guy named Vergil. Kamari was pretty close with Sai. In fact, they trained together to help him awaken his Sharingan. Snow had also offered to train him, so he could call him a friend as well. As for Fu, they met at a bar on Christmas where he used Genjutsu to freak out the bartender. He knew Fu admired him at the very least. As for who Vergil was, he had no idea.
Kamari quickly added his name to the list before leaping across rooftops to reach the gate. He stood on the roof of a nearby building and looked down on the group, his waist-length hair and black trench coat blowing in the wind and the kunai on his bandolier glistening in the sunlight. He recognized Fu, Snow, and Sai immediately, but noticed a fourth figure with short white hair and a sword wearing clothes similar to his own. The only difference was that this guy was wearing a shirt, whereas Kamari normally went bare chested under his trench coat, wearing only his kunai bandolier. Kamari decided to get the group’s attention.
“So, we meet again,” Kamari said, loud enough for the group to hear him. He stood on the edge of the building’s roof with his arms crossed, the sun directly behind him.

Fu watched as her teammates arrived one by one. She was surprised at how many had gathered. She figured it was due to the time sensitive circumstances of their mission. The first to arrive after her was a person that she had not meet before. He went by the name of “Saizou Uchiha”, information she received when he introduced himself to her. Fu would shake his hand and study him. He had black hair and green eyes which shimmered like emeralds.
“Nice to meet you Saizou. The names Fu.” She would say while shaking his hand then withdrawing.
Just moments later another teammate would arrive and then another and another. The first was a male who was much taller than Saizou and Fu who were about similar heights. The next person bore a face that was familiar to Fu, Vergil. He approached with hand on hilt and Fu would smile at him and say, “Sup?” The final person arrived by rooftop- making his presence known by shouting “So, We meet again?” would be none other than Kamari. Fu recognized him from the Christmas party.
There were now 5 Genin amassed at the gates ready to take on their mission- or she assumed. Fu would wait until the group settled down before speaking, the sunlight hitting her orangish eyes. “Great. With all these people we can get this mission over with quickly so I can get paid and buy the sword I want. I have an idea, whoever finds it first wins!”
Fu would turn and begin running at her max speed into the forest with hopes of speeding this mission along.

It wasent to long after Sai introduced himself that more people started to arrive. Sai has never seen so many genin going on one mission, it would make you think it’s some sort of competition to see who will finish first. The first to arrive after Sai was Snow. Sai eye grew wide when he had seen Snow arrive, he was now excited to see that his rivial too had come and joined the fun. He couldn’t wait to get the mission started so that he could win and brag about it , even though he knew bragging wouldn’t matter muxh to Snow.
“Hey buddy, how’s it going”,Sai said to Snow, he always admired Snow ability to keep that same smile on his face, always radiating happiness. Shortly after Snow arrived another leaf genin showed up. He approached as if Sai and the other were pedants not worthy of being spoken to. It annoyed Sai , because he believed no matter what when you approached people you should introduce oneself. Sai didn’t want to start a fight with someone he hasent even spoken to but he knew deep inside he wanted to cause some trouble.
The last to arrive was Kamari. His choice of entrance was odd but it was amusing, Sai thought. He hadenf seen Kamari in a while since their training session, so it felt good to see that he was alive and doing well. Sai hopes that he could see how far hi progressed since last they met. Sai would listen as Fu greeted him back and then greeted the rest of the arrivals. It fought him off guard when he heard Fu say “whoever finds it first wins”. It gave Sai the perfect opportunity to show off and beat everyone’s at this mission, it was just the kind of thing Sai needed to get his training done for the day. Sai would quickly take off in the Same direction as Fu making sure to not let her get to far ahead.
