Snow met with the other two Genin that stood by the notice board, looking as if they were waiting to start their mission when Snow arrived and greeted the other two. Shortly after that, another showed up at the notice board, expectantly looking at the others standing by the notice boards. Due to his facial expressions and due to the fact that he was walking directly for them, Snow figured that Kamari was also going to be joining the three on this mission. Snow greeted Kamari as he got closer to the notice board, excited to see another familiar face joining them on this mission.
"Hello Kamari! It is so wonderful to see you!" Snow would reach out his hand so he would shake Kamari's as he got close enough. After the two would greet each other, Fu would begin speaking about her mindset toward the mission. Seeming to be very eager to begin the mission, she spoke to the group that had gathered at the notice board. She said that she wanted to turn the mission into a competition. While Snow did want this to be a team effort, he was sure that the others would most likely side with Fu on that regard. Saizou was already quick to join in with Fu on the mission being turned into a competition. The two then began sprinting into the forests, so Snow decided to join in right behind the two of them. His speed was pretty good, at least it was good enough to keep up with the other two Genin and keeping them from getting to far.
When they would reach the point that they were going to explore and try to find the salamander, he would ask Saizou and Kamari if he wanted to link up their Sharingan and his Rain Tiger at Will technique. If Snow would sense a small creature lurking about, he would be able to send either Kamari or Saizou into the direction to use their increased perception to investigate if the small creature the rain detected was in fact the salamander that they were looking for.

Upon arriving the only one who seemed to have anything to say to Vergil was Fu who gave him a grin and a wave which reminded Vergil of how alike to Saori Fu was. Making note of this one other Genin among the group seemed rather keen into Vergil's arriving demeanor as he noticed one who was looking at him as though expectant of something. "Do you need something?" he would ask to the ninja whose name Saizou he did not yet know just as he took notice of a fifth Genin joining their ranks. This was getting real crowded real fast. It would be the first mission he'd ever been on with so many other ninja yet, considering how easy the mission was supposed to be, he could hardly find it the least bit surprising. It wouldn't be long, however, before Fu would suggest the mission be turned into a race as she dashed straight into the forest ahead of everyone. Saizou and Snow would take off shortly after as Vergil took a more slow and steady approach. His only aim was getting the mission done, after all, rather than making a joke of it.
Stepping into the forest and making his way into it's depths he noticed the sky suddenly take on a darker shade as clouds formed seemingly out of nowhere and started to fall upon him as he walked deeper into the forest. 'So they intend to draw the creature with water? It can turn invisible and is attracted to water as well as...' Reaching into a back pocket within his jacket Vergil would pull out a few blueberries before making a handseal and placing the blueberries down upon the ground. Crouching low beside the blueberries he would then allow the rain to wash itself along his clothes and skin, washing away his scents, as he looked around his immediate area with the Sharingan. If the salamander was to make it's way to his position it wouldn't be able to see Vergil due to his False Surroundings technique which made his entire immediate area look the same except with him being invisible. He would sit there, crouched and waiting, until either one of the other group members found the target or he found it and captured it.

"Hello Kamari! It is so wonderful to see you!"
Snow reached out to shake Kamari’s hand. Kamari was happy that he had gotten off to a good start with Snow, especially after the talk about the Uchiha District fires.
“Same here, how’s life been?,” Kamari answered as he shook Snow’s hand. He then noticed who he assumed to be Vergil look over at him.
“Do you need something?,” Vergil asked Kamari.
Kamari chucked slightly, interpreting it as a very dry joke. It was already obvious that he would be participating in the mission.
“Do I?,” Kamari asked back jokingly.
Fu has declared a race to find the salamander, which Kamari found quite frustrating. Ninja life was about teamwork, not competition. Well, it was about competition too but if you were in a team, you had to stick together.
“Isn’t that kind of a bad... idea,” Kamari said, cut off as the entire team had begun sprinting off.
“Well so much for teamwork,” Kamari said to himself before leaping into the forest with his Sharingan activated.
Kamari had seen salamanders like this before while he was training, or more accurately torturing himself, in the forest. He knew there was one place they liked to gather the most: his training spot.
Kamari would then leap over to his training spot, using his false surroundings technique to make himself invisible and dampen the noise of his movements.
When Kamari got to his training area on the bank of a small pond, he saw quite the cluster of salamanders.
“Gotcha,” Kamari said to himself before leaping down and stealthily observing them.
Kamari reached out to grab one but it managed to slip out of his hands. The entire group promptly turned invisible and began fleeing, but Kamari’s Sharingan could make out the patterns in the dirt that showed where they were heading.
Kamari then began pursuing them before reaching out and grabbing one, putting it into a case he had brought with him.
“One down, a billion to go,” Kamari said before leaping off to find his teammates and tell them where the salamanders were.

Re: Hunting Strange Beasts (C-Rank Mission)
Mon Feb 03, 2020 11:23 pm
The group of genin followed in Fu’s footsteps towards where they would assume would be the best place for them to start their search. After reaching a certain point the group split up. Three of the genin had wandered off in a direction on their own. This didn’t bother Fu much. She was used to hunting on her own anyways. Fu began pondering her game plan. Based off of the information provided with the mission details, Fu knew these few things to be true about the salamander she was hunting:
1. They liked water
2. They liked blueberries
3. They can become temporary invisible
Fu was armed with three pieces of information- 2 which would help her narrow down her search and help her- 1 being rather tricky. Fu traveled deep into the forest. She figured such an elusive creature would not just be out in the open. She had already checked most of the common areas that contained amounts of water but had no luck. IT wasn’t until she found an area with a rather distinct difference from the areas she had explored before; this area contained a scarce amount of blueberry bushes. Fu didn’t think such a thing grew in this region.
The area gave off an oasis vibe to Fu. At the center of it was a watering hole that was sourced by a steady but narrow stream. Around the watering hole was sand as at the edge of the sand were small bushes containing a sweet, dark blue fruit. In the middle of the watering hole was a large tree that had collapsed into the water many years ago, but still happened to be sturdy and intact. This was where Fu was going to conduct her plan. Fu would disappear from the shoreline to the center of the tree in the water. The tree had a width of about 2 meters which was plenty of room for her to sit down cross legged. She would then reach into her shinobi weapon pouches and retrieve handfuls of blueberries she had purchased at the market prior to showing up to the village gates. She would put piles of blueberries on each side of her in multiple locations. Now that the bait had been laid, she was ready to begin. Sitting cross legged at the center of the tree, she would begin to slow down her breathing. After about 5 minutes, Fu had slowed her rate of breathing down to its lowest levels. Fu had become one with nature around her. As time passed- her presence would continue to blend with that of the environment as she remained as still as a statue.
It wasn’t until about an hour later that the stillness of the world around her would break. It started with the subtle sound of water- as if something had emerged or entered the water and a rippling effect. Fu focused her eyesight on the source of the sound while trying not to blink. After a few moments several other similar sounds followed, but she still failed to see anything. It was then a blueberry toppled into the water. Fu snapped her hands into a tiger sign using the Temporary Paralysis jutsu. It wasn’t often that Fu had used hand seals to perform this jutsu, she typically could do it by simply looking into the eyes of her target. This way however did not require eye contact. Fu would lean over to the nearest pile of berries and take a lucky guess, motioning her right hand a grabbing at what appeared to be thin air. To her surprise, the thin air was indeed tangible and the texture of it was slimy. She quickly adjusted her grip by adding a second hand to make sure that she had securely captured whatever it was she had in her hands. A moment passed and the invisibility of the creature’s wore off to reveal something like what was depicted in the mission materials. Fu thought it was cute and it appeared to be rather docile since it did not struggle to free itself. Fu would place the creature within her shinobi weapon pouch and close it securely to ensure it would not escape. The mission did not express the need for multiple salamanders and Fu figured that with this many people on one mission- the others would surely be able to capture their more- or so she hoped.
Fu returned to the mission head quarters and exchanged the salamander in exchange for the mission rewards of Ryo. Fu thanked the shinobi who rendered her payment and she made her exit. She wondered what place she ended up in…

Sai has ventured off on his own to find one of the salamanders. He felt as though he didn’t need a group to complete something like this. He had remembered what he should use to attract some of them to him , but no matter where he looked he couldn’t find any berries for the lizards to eat. Sai has looked through a ton of bushes only to be met with thorns and other insects that were calling the bushes home. It didn’t make any sense to him why there wasent any around , “No way they would live here with no food source “, Sai spoke aloud.
He wandered deeper into the forest looking for any signs of the salamander food source, luckily for him he found something better. As Sai walked he heard tiny foot steps pattering in the ground. He didn’t know for sure what it was , but hoped luck was on his side today. Sai expect to get a slight work out chasing the lizards around , but what he found surprised even him. The salamander had gotten his tail stuck underneath a couple rocks.
Sai immediately picked him up and threw I’m in his case for the mission. He looked at the area to see how could the lizard get himself stuck in suck a weird way, Sai could only guess after observing the area that the lizard was walking over the pill of rocks when they tumbled over on it. Sai returned to the headquarters and revived his pay for the day. Satisfied he went home.

Seeming how the entire team had decided that they were going to go about doing things their own way, he decided that he was going to do the same and catch him a few little creatures. Snow would perform the handseals necessary for the Rain Tiger at Will technique. The rain would begin to fall and he would be able to sense all the living things around him. He had a general idea as to the size of the creature they were looking for, so he was able to narrow down his search.
After a few moments of the rain falling onto the patch of the forest, he was able to see all kinds of tiny creatures pattering about, but based on the size of one certain group of the living beings, he decided to chase after that group. He sprung into action, chasing down the creatures he saw. When he finally reached their position, he confirmed that they were the lizards they were after, he ran and he ran until he finally caught up with a small group. They were still a little to fast for him to be able to catch up, so he performed the hand seals for his icy mist. He opened his mouth and he spewed out a icy mist that was able to catch up with the lizards. The arctic mist would significantly slow the lizards, enough for Snow to catch up to them.
He grabbed a handful of the lizards and began throwing them in a box that he brought with him to store the small creatures. When he finished gathering the lizards, he released both the rain and the mist. He then sprinted back to where they were to deliver the lizards and do just that. He was thanked for his help and given a small reward for his duty.

Vergil looked all around his surroundings for any sight or sound of movement as he kept completely still to make certain his own movements wouldn't be able to alert any reptilians he was trying to attract. He suddenly heard the grass moving a little ways away as he watched wafts of grass move away almost like something was moving through it towards his location. His Sharingan picked up the color of chakra flowing around a specific animal as he waited for it to get close enough while slowly bringing his hands up to form a hand seal. By the time the animal got close to the blueberry and it shot it's tongue out to eat it Vergil had used his temp paralysis technique and made the salamander freeze in place. It was known for having a toxin so he wasn't going to take any chances in holding it for delivery. After freezing it he kept control over it with his chakra before grabbing the salamander by the body and standing up with it in his hands. Looking around he could see his other teammates wandering off with their own quotas as he wondered if the mission givers had only wanted one salamanders or multiple. Not thinking too much on it he turned and hurried in the direction of the intended receivers of the salamander. Once done he would head home for the dinner his housemaid had promised.

Kamari leapt across the trees with a sack full of salamanders. He had already subdued and captured at least twelve thanks to his expert use of Genjutsu. Now it was time to head back home. Kamari activated his Sharingan and looked into the forest noticing his teammates heading back to the village with salamanders.
“They didn’t even stick together,” Kamari mused to himself. “Typical.”
Kamari really cared about his friends, especially Sai after all the training they had done, but he did seem to notice the one fault they all had. They seemed to put individual glory over the team. Kamari knew that in the ninja world, the most important part of life is standing up for those you care about, and that’s the reason ninja work in teams.
Kamari noticed another group of salamanders nearby on a blueberry bush, at least ten more. He body-flickered down and grabbed a handful, stuffing them into his sack before watching the rest run away.
“Okay,” Kamari said in frustration with the fact his prey was escaping. “You asked for it.”
Kamari reaches out with his hand and cast Ephemeral on the salamanders, promptly rendering them all unconscious from extreme illusionary pain. Kamari scooped them all up into his sack before heading back to the village.
At the mission board, Mika was waiting for him.
“Hey baby,” Mika said to Kamari before body flickering behind him and whispering in his ear.
“How did the mission go?”
Kamari simply dropped the sack on the ground and answered “Well, they’re in there.”
Mika opened the bag to see a massive collection of unconscious salamanders.
“By Kami!,” Mika exclaimed. “You caught all these?!”
“Yeah, Genjutsu works wonders,” Kamari answered.
The two kissed passionately with no concern for public display of affection or making anybody uncomfortable before Kamari took the salamanders to the counter and gave them to the guy that was running the mission board. “Another one off the list,” Kamari said as he walked home. He would never get tired of doing missions.
