The screams had echoed for hours, and even from its place within the walls of the villages Hospital The Shade of The Reaper refused to leave the side of its creators most beloved… but as it stared out of the windows of the Hospital it took note of the approaching figure. The mismatched eyes of the shade widened in shock at what it was feeling… just how much chakra had Kenshin consumed within his mindless rage? Its creator was running on little more than the fumes of what had once been a vast ocean of chakra… it was almost surreal to feel. Despite that the clone knew its creator would have his Byakugan active so as to check up on Mizuki before he arrived… but it would not dispel itself until the man arrived in the room, despite the fact that it knew she was safe and was going to be fine… it would not leave her side even a moment before The Ragdoll himself arrived at her bedside. It may simply be a pale imitation of The Original but it still felt everything that he was feeling, the blind rage and burning hatred towards Kutari, the feeling of sheer terror at the thought of losing Mizuki… but the original had created it to take her to the hospital and watch over her, and it would fulfill that task.

It could hear the shuffling of feet being dragged across the floor as its creator approached, his breathing shallow yet heavy, almost raspy as he physically dragged himself towards his destination, and it was only when the door opened and the haggard form of its creator was walking through the door that The Shade would dispel, its reserves returning to The Original and giving him the chakra he desperately needed. But The Creature paid no mind to the now cloud of smoke that had previously been occupying the seat at the bedside of Mizuki, all it could do was focus on the form of the one it cared for above all in a mixture of sadness and relief. Kenshin would take a seat on the chair that had once been occupied by his shadow clone, the guest chair from his office he idly mused to himself, and simply sat by the woman's bedside, worriedly waiting for her to awaken… as he knew that her mind would be in tatters after this little meeting with his most tru... his most valuable ally. The Ragdoll struggled against sleep for as long as he could, but eventually his exhaustion won out, the mixture of extremely low chakra reserves combined with the stress of the situation sending him into a deep and dreamless sleep that he physically couldn’t fight for a moment longer… but even through that he remained by the woman's side, passed out in the chair by her bedside.
