Getting the dust off

As the village rebuilds, Yuri looks at the bustling action from a tall point of view from a nearby shopping area to the docks. It wasn't her first day at it. However, days ago minor theft activity was detected; it meant that conventional forces that secures the business interacting with the village have issues. She looked from above to a store where hearsay burglary was executed. Thinking about the inquiries made , it would seems that the store was taken advantage of by being new to the area.

She looked around the store and could not find any form of security implemented aside from the metal sheet pulled down on every closing of the store.  There wasn't even a second exit for the stores along the street, evidently highlighting the need of development for the area. The store next door was no better, it had the same facilities built with the only difference that it was selling food. However, Yuri received rantings from the shop owner mostly on the assessment of the current guards when cases happened in the area. Yuri stayed silent throughout and listened to her all the way until she is ready to be asked some questions. After his complains, Yuri thanked the shop owner and decided to look around outside for some leads.

Continuing the lookout from above the targeted store. Yuri realizes that the reformation of the village were being taken advantage of as well. There were guards in charged of protecting the trading business going into that store in numbers and one of them took extra helped by his mates keeping the owner distracted. Not wanting to make a scene in front of the store, she let them make a distance out into an open area where she pick them out without concerns. She took a moment to conjure a plan and moved quickly the lamp that stood out in the junction of the road leading to the docks; She hasn't tried this kind of thing for very long but compared to times back then, she is very well armed now but needs to clear the dust of her skills.

Walking up to the 5 men group looking to return to their ship, Yuri stood in the path of the man in the front. Looking shorter to him, the man looked down on her. What's your problem lady? She looked up Your friend at the back, he had something to return to the ornament store right? Action began immediately as the guard in front of her tried a swing to get her off the way, Yuri took a step back the let the swing take its full course catching the attention of some by-passers at the same time. How about it? Your friend would take me on, i'll let it slide if i get onto ground first? Otherwise he would give his stolen items to me. The guards looked at each other and decided that it would be fun to see her suffer, they moved back and let their mate take on Yuri; It is clear that hiding her ninja identity helped.

The guard initiated by an attempt to grab Yuri by the top of her head. Yuri had been trained way too much for this, she wondered how the guards did their training; Maybe they were underestimating her. Instead of going in with both arms grabbing onto his attacking hand with a faster pace. Yuri had decided to stick to the objectives, she held his right hand at bay with her right hand and slot her left hand behind the chest protection of the guard. Well expecting him to use his left hand, Yuri went in further with his hand above her shoulder now as her right hand takes on a new job to blocking his left hand; Her search was completed before the guard could bring an elbow to her back as she moves leftwards and distanced herself from her opponent. She could disappear right away leaving no trail but that would blow her cover. His mates are now booing at him, agitating him a little as he attempts to charge at her trying a bear hug this time round with both his hands ready; She had to counter like a civilian. Yuri moved to her right at just a slightly faster speed than him to evade it.

As both her foot touches the ground again, she could feel both her arms were going to be locked. Instead of letting her arms move up as intended, she tries wrestles it down while her original opponent went for her hand with his stolen item. She quickly dropped it with a slight swing of her right hand and kicked it with back of her feet with force so that it will end up in a race to get the item. Catching the other guard unaware of the situation for a second, she freed herself quickly again throwing herself a step forward to free herself and beaten the other in a race to retrieve the item right after. These guards were not trained to dodge the lights, it is no wonder that they would lost out in a battle of speed. However, She wouldn't take the risk of getting them to perform defense out in the open.

Angered in broad daylight, the group looked at Yuri keeping themselves composed as the remaining mates stepped up to end the show, moving the audiences away though they were numbered few and far between. With them on their way back to their ship, Yuri proceeded with the returning of the ornament; Something carved out of a volcanic rock with a few glisters situated around the pointed object. A combination cheap and beautiful craftsmanship, it is little wonder that thefts like that do happen when the shop owner is outnumbered. Yuri took her time to walk a diagonal path cutting around the road to get back to the shop. The shop owner addressed Yuri as though she is a tourist visiting the area for the first time; That should reflect the way of a ninja after all. She returned the stolen ornament to the middle aged owner.
