Digging for weeds (Ryu, Kahoru)

Kahoru was 50 meters away from the tree line. Kahoru was traveling at 35 speed, as they had had to travel 3 miles and she wanted to make it to a good area as soon as possible. Kahoru, stopped walking, going from 35 speed to 0 instantly, facing the forest, and said, “Hey Ryuken. Why don’t we stop here instead of closer to the tree line or farther than that? I see lots of hemlock just a few meters off the path, and we don’t have to travel as far. Also, hemlock is supposed to grow in pastures, and an open field is pretty much a pasture. Why not we stop and pick it here. And I’ve learned from experience that it’s best to avoid going in areas where you can be easily ambushed.” Kahoru quickly remembered when her parents and she were ambushed from the tree line by the assassin. Anyways, Kahoru would stop walking. The path they were on was 1 meter wide, and the large, open field was filled with grass that was a few inches tall. The area of grass they were in had been struck by a lightning strike a few days ago, spreading fire to the whole fields and shortening the grass substantially. The tree line was where the extremely tall trees (25 meters in height) of the forest and the open field met.

Kahoru would be ready to react to anything.

OOC: Based on how Hanabi timelined us, with us still walking towards the trees when we are 50 meters away, meaning Ryuken stops when we are closer than 50 meters. Meaning, if my timeline goes through, Ryuken never talks at the end of his last post.

Additionally, if Ryuken stops, we will now be 50 meters away from Hanabi. This means that Ryuken can hear Hanabi’s breathing due to Experienced Fighter.

Ryuken continued to chat with Kahoru as they walked along towards the woods in search of poisonous plants. The fields around looked saddeningly bare, nature could be cruel to itself sometimes. Ryu started to feel something odd as they were walking along their way. He could feel a chakra signature that was unfamiliar to him coming from the direction they were headed. With his trained senses he could tell that someone quite strong was in those woods. Not usually cause for alarm, but this person's presence was most likely even more imposing and powerful than Ryu and most certainly Kahoru. It was worrying for sure.

His attention was pulled back by Kahoru who had stopped and began talking. She suggested sticking to the area in their immediate vicinity and even pointed out a patch of what looked like hemlock on a couple meters away. Ryu's mind was so focused on whatever or whoever was in the forest that he hadnt even noticed they were about to walk by what they had originally come to find.

"Sorry about that Kahoru my mind was elsewhere. Good eye we can simply gather it here and head back." He would say to the young shinobi. He was still worried about whatever he was sensing, but whoever it was, was around 50 meters away and the pair were standing in an open field on an often traveled path. He would keep a watchful eye and ear on the possible threat and help gather up a couple bundles of hemlock.

"Let's get this through with quickly and get home." He would laugh to the genin with him.

Kahoru would just finish asking her first question, as Hanabi picked her foot up to start charging towards them, Kahoru would start sidestepping towards Ryuken. Kahoru would move towards Ryuken until she was half of a meter away from him. Originally, Kahoru and Ryuken were a meter away from each other. This means, by the time Kahoru had moved half of a meter, Hanabi had traveled 3 meters. Kahoru, as she was moving towards Ryuken, said, “I’m kinda a walking bag of meat here.” Hanabi would not be able to hear this. Kahoru would do anything Ryuken instructed her to do, and she would be ready to flee.

Kahoru would be ready to react to anything.

As Kahoru spoke Ryu was half listening and focusing on the unknown person nearby. The moment Hanabi started to dash at the pair Ryu would jump into action. He called out to Kahoru, "get close to me!" He would yell to her as he let go of his puppet and began forming the hand signs for the body flicker technique.

As soon as he performed the hand seals he would regrab his puppet with one hand and Kahoru with the other and begin dashing away from the incoming assailant as fast as possible (225 speed).

He knew that his opponent was moving faster than he could, and prepared himself to react if he needed to.

Stats:

Team summer was arriving at the conflict that Kuniko Hyuuga, her student had pointed out with her Byuakugan. According to Kuniko, there was a Hyuuga attacking two Hoshi ninja at fast speeds. Meaning Tsubaki would have to be quick to arrive. "All three of you stay back. Keep about a 50-meter distance from the fight. If should anything happen to me, report to the village," Tsu would instruct the trio. "Keep each other safe." After those words, she would transform her body with her Mother Nature technique and body flicker to the end of the tree line, passing all the trees. It turned out that the Lakefront and where the conflict was was only about 30 meters away. At the time she body flickered, Hanabi had just deactivated Bull 
Rush. 

Ryuken was continuing to body flicker away from Hanabi as she continued the chase with her own body flicker. Tsu had arrived to see the occurrence go down. She arrived between Hanabi and Ryu's body flickers, however, Hanabi was closing in on her while Ryu was getting further. Ryu was about 47 meters from Tsu and Hanabi was about to land her body flicker 25 meters from her.  Since she didn't know the story behind the conflict, she wouldn't go for anything fatal from her attacks. She would begin to weave her two hand signs for Swamp of the Underworld as Hanabi was forming her five seals for Vanish. The swamp would form directly under Hanabi at full speed. If caught in contact with the muddy swamps, her feet would instantly be consumed and her body would be dragged 2 meters under. The diameter of the swamp would be 24 meters so that Tsu wouldn't get consumed by her own jutsu. 

If Hanabi would get captured, Tsu would begin to taunt. "Looking a bit stuck there, kid." She would then also look at the two other shinobi and shake her head in disappointment. "Come on. Scared of a kid in armour?"

As Kahoru moved towards Ryuken, she would move slightly backward, only a few centimeters so Ryuken would grab her arm instead of the hand that seemed to be moving towards her neck. Kahoru was moving towards Ryuken in a leftwards fashion, so she would grab her left arm. As the two body flickered away, Kahoru would blush slightly, but it quickly vanished. She realized, all though this may be a kind, strong man, this was a fellow shinobi. She couldn’t let her feelings get the better of her on the battlefield. She snapped out of it, that entire thought process happening instantly. As Ryuken and Kahoru Body Flickered away, another shinobi, who Kahoru faintly recognized as a chunnin of Hoshigakure entered the scene. Kahoru would look, as she was helpless in this situation. If Kahoru and Ryuken completed their body flicker, Kahoru would run away, as far as possible. She would run backward and leftwards, moving an equal distance in both of those directions. The two directions would happen at the same time, making her movement a diagonal. This would also allow her to be moving directly towards the village walls. She would be ready to react to anything.
