Monster Hunter (IO)

She had stared down at her cup after she had finished her story, listening to their responses as if her head was underwater - far away. She was there physically but her mind was to the wind and she had difficulty bringing herself back to the conversation but the slight uptick in tone was enough to do the trick. Seems they were being offered to be shown something that Anaphiel and his sister had been working on, her curiosity was piqued momentarily as she took another sip of the drink she held. "I would be interested in hearing about it, though I would say I'm a visual learner so might have to check it out to get the full picture.” 


Kaito’s sudden burst of ‘OI’ made her jump slightly in her seat before also turning her face to the server, an apologetic look spreading on her features at his rudeness. Heaving a sigh she would turn and punch him on the shoulder, a new look of fierceness lighting her eyes up. “This is why you’re single you know.” giving a short shake of her head she looked at Anaphiel with a raised eyebrow and a ‘See what I deal with’ sort of look. Menus would come though and food would be served… what a day.

Anaphiel looked between them as Kaito gave a brief accounting of what their story was. The two of them did not seem to care for long-winded stories. That was fine. He was a stranger still for the most part. Sure, he’d been living in the village for some time, but the three of them had only just started getting to know one another. It’s possible that would change in the future, but for now all he could do was get to know them based on what they told him and reciprocate.

At least they seemed genuinely interested in his little side projects, know as little about them as they do. Perhaps he should share Rayoralia with those in the village. The way it would work once it was created would involve him teleporting there and bringing people with him. Perhaps if he could teach people how to get there without needing to be present, others would be able to come and go as they pleased. It was something to think about later, as he still had some details to sort out.

Business and talk of projects were put off the the side now, as menus arrived and they would place their order for food and more drink. Katsumi gave him a look in regards to the method that Kaito used to get the server’s attention, and the Hidemori Chuunin couldn’t help but chuckle. The rest of the night was to be a celebration of their successfully completed mission, and what a celebration they had.
