New Beginnings(Village Entry) [Fu, Mizu]
Sun Aug 16, 2020 10:13 pm
"Come on, Fu. It's quite a walk from here to Sunagakure."
Wan was already conditioned to these environments, the desert heat not being as sweltering as it usually was when he last was here. Wind Country seemed to be the same as he had left it, not much looking 'new' in terms of buildings or towns, but hey, it is the desert after all. Chugging through the sands Wan and Fu walked in a straight line through the heat, the path from the docks to Sunagakure already being 'carved' out from previous travelers who also took this journey, so they didn't need to make any detours or cut corners to get there. Ever-so-often he would take a swig from his canteen, the Senju planning ahead of time to make sure that he brought enough water to sustain him until he arrived in the village, overlooking the dunes of the desert to spot the cleft of the village, a landmark he used to indicate how far he was from arriving. "Want some?" he would say, looking over at Fu as he extended the canteen to her, wondering if she might be parched from the walk. He knew that she most likely had a bottle of Saki on her, so they wouldn't have been extremely thirsty, but in his eyes water would help with dehydration more than alcohol would. Regardless he just hoped she was holding up fine since he expected it to be a few hours before they would arrive at the village.
As night fell and the sun began to set Wan could finally begin to see the cleft of Sunagakure. Oh, how he remembered his first times laying eyes on it, coming across it randomly was a feeling on its own before he realized just where he was. "There it is." he would say, a slight smile coming across his face as the two of them get closer and closer. Walking through the narrow valley together he would look around him at the giant cliffs sheltering them, the harsh weather feeling much cooler underneath the shades of the rocks at the two could now see the gates leading into the village. "Last time there was an old guy here waiting to check me in. A cool fellow and I are sure he'll see us before we see him." Wan decided not to knock at the gates this time, instead of getting close enough to be seen by anyone coming from the direction of the gate, standing next to Fu as the both of them would await entrance into the village.

Fu walked alongside Wan as the two traveled through the Wind country towards the village of Sunagakure. This was Fu’s first time in this country and the climate was much different than what she was used to. The forest was replaced by desert and the cool temperatures replaced by direct exposure to the sun. Fu was wearing a white robe with dark blue accents with her black body suit underneath. Underneath her robe was a couple weapon pouches which stored various possessions of hers. Across her back was a sword with a purple handle and a light blue sheath with a painting of what appeared to be a dragon flying through the sky. Fu’s powder blue hair had grown quiet a bit, reaching halfway down her back and her orange eyes were full of determination as they marched on.
Fu accepted Wan’s water when he offered and the two walked on for what felt like hours. The walk to the village was rather uneventful and Fu for once did not attempt any of her typical antics. Instead, she took in the new sights and marched towards the destination, knowing most of her questions would be answered in time.
Just as the sun began to set, the two had reached their destination, Fu was in ‘aw’ of the view of the large walls which surrounded the village and the corridor that the two neared which appeared to be the path to the village gates. Upon entering, the large walls on both sides shielded for the duo from the sun for the first time in hours, providing them some relief. The cool air in the area felt good on Fu’s skin. As the two neared the village gates, Fu traveled slightly behind Wan not knowing what to fully expect. He had told her that he had been here before so when he stopped and appeared to be waiting, she waited along side him assuming that they would be greeted shortly.
“I could use a nap after that journey!” Fu exclaimed, “but not before checking things out! I wonder if they have any good saki and food around here.” She said- making small talk as they waited. Wan told her last time an older gentleman had let him in, hopefully he didn’t take too long getting to them this time- Fu was excited to explore.

Mizuki Ohta sat with her legs crossed and her chin rested on her right fist - staring down at the missions paperwork for the upcoming week. Who was going where and at what time - the usual gate keeper fare. Truth be told she had requested to still maintain some of her time at the gates, even with her most recent promotion she found the hours of solitude peaceful and centering; plus it was always interesting to see what the world would cough up at her doorstep. Mizuki had been the first impression for many formidable members of the village and she enjoyed being able to call them… friends - that wasn’t to say everyone made it through the gates… she still remembered the man who had so foolishly paralyzed her and found himself suffocating and burning in a cloud of ash in the next instant. It was a pity too… the poor guy had caught her on a good day, she had been accommodating and even offered to feed him with her own coin. Power hungry men and women were not new to the walls of Suna… but fools so ready to turn on those who welcomed them with open arms were a completely different breed of ignorant.
She was still flitting through the paperwork, her mind truly elsewhere on the training exercise she had put Guren and Sebastian through a few days prior when she happened to glance up - and spot two figures approaching, back lit by the setting sun peering in through the pass. Her hand idly dropped the papers to the desk and she continued to stare as they came into more detail - the two way glass of the guard tower blocking her from view but not them. The long powder blue hair was what had caught her attention initially - especially set against the red stone of the earth around her. Drawing herself up from the chair she gently brushed her hands over the silk black kimono she wore, the motion causing fluttering ripples down the light fabric, before moving closer to the glass and taking in their appearances with more scrutiny.
A man and a woman - compared to the woman the man looked plain, black bushy hair, light skin tone, average body type, and no discernible markings save for the copper eyes that shon in the dying light. The woman who stood next to him was like a solar flare next to the earthy tones the man exuded - bright white robes with blue accents, the aforementioned pastel blue hair… and something purple; a handle to a weapon - poking up at an angle on her back. She reminded Mizuki of the poison dart frogs she had read about, the brighter the color the more poisonous they were sort of thing… but she felt as though the chattery one wasn’t the more dangerous of the two. Flashy looks could do wonders to ward off those simple minded enough to take it at face value, but if she knew anything… the ones who dressed subdued usually did so to keep the spotlight off of themselves.
For good reason.
Letting out a small sigh she finally decided the pair had waited long enough and she stepped out of the guard tower , staying well within the barrier and temperature controlled area that bubbled just outside of the now closed gates. The black silk billowed behind her as did the long sheet of hair, flowing like water with her motion until she came to a stop - turning to face them with her hands behind her back. “Welcome. Please state your intended business here in the walls of Sunagakure, full birth names, village of origin, and missing nin status.” Mizuki’s voice was as silken as the cloth she was draped in, opting for an approachable yet commanding demeanor to suit the two as she would be unable to completely tailor her actions to the individual as she so often was accustomed. And yes, while it was completely legal for all missing nin to be allowed in the walls, she personally liked to keep track of them. Everyone had their own agenda, especially those who had yet sworn allegiance to the Kazekage. Even with this line of questioning she did not press to see into their bags, or for them to hand over any weaponry which she had done to others - this pair looked as though they came laden with a purpose and a story… and Mizuki was all ears.

Re: New Beginnings(Village Entry) [Fu, Mizu]

It didn't take much chakra to be pumped into the atmosphere for a keen and adept individual to pick up on it. Things seemed to change slightly since his last visit here, or at least that's how Wan felt when he soon picked up on a signature nearby. However, it seems as if he and Fu were spotted long before he began to notice. Hearing a 'welcome' caused him to avert his attention to the direction it came from, a guard tower he spotted once looking that way. As as he looked, he felt as if he couldn't stop, his entire attention is focused on a woman who he assumed had emerged from the guard tower. "By the nine divines, Sunagakure has done it again." he would think to himself, yet another beautiful woman hailing from this village causing every thought traversing the mind-rails of the young Senju to cease as he mentally basks in her glory. Her hair seemed to be caressed by the wind itself, flowing smoother than sand once it undergoes intense heat, a process turning the useless substance into a beautiful glass. Her eyes were like no other, a purple-ish hue, or some would say violet, both being entrances into the abyss since any man who'd lock eyes with them would surely get lost within their uniqueness. She was not the person Wan was expecting to meet them, not even in a million years would he have thought someone of her caliber would be serving as a guard.
Now that they were face-to-face the woman would complete her dialogue after the short greeting, hands behind her back as she immediately asked them a few questions. Wan had been through the process before, a short and simple one that he believed should be adopted by all villages since it was a nice way of keeping track of who or what enters and leaves. Her last few words caught him off guard, however, since he wasn't quite sure how he would or 'should' answer it. "Missing Ninja Status." he would briefly think, not wanting to waste much time in silence to avoid the lady from thinking he was conjuring up a lie. In all honesty, he saw no reason to hide the truth, his intentions being as pure as honey with no intent to stray towards a separate goal. Looking the woman up and down one last time he would lock eyes with her, a sign of respect and honesty as those who tend to look away during conversation are too afraid to lie while maintaining attention. "My name is Wan Senju, no longer a missing ninja, although I was my first time arriving here. There was an older guy who looked war-worn last time, he can vouch for my previous status I assume, or maybe my record is still on file here. I am now Hokage of Konohagakure no Sato, and I have returned for the same reasons as before. To meet with the Kazekage known as Kenshin in search of knowledge deeper in the fields of Medical Ninjutsu as well as discuss receiving transplants from him, since I heard he's rather renowned for such. I hail from Kirigakure, although it's been years since I've last called it my home."
He would look over at Fu, knowing that she'd be up next to speak so there was no reason to speak for her. He figured, however, it would be in his best interest to mention why the two were traveling together, just in case a duo coming in with compelling stories might offset the mood of the woman, something he certainly did not want to do. Last time he was here he could feel a very powerful force, much stronger than the three of them combined, so riling up any form of anger against them would not be the best of things given that he wanted to be in-and-out as quickly as possible. "This is a Genin I met during my liberation of Konohagakure, and she was the only one there I deemed worthy of adventuring with. We didn't come looking for any trouble, just connections, knowledge, and temporary shelter." All was true, since the two did not fully plan on making Sunagakure a home, or at least Wan did not currently. It was all but a pit-stop for the duo as they would venture off into new lands after their visit in Wind Country, hoping to gain a few friends or associates while here. Seeing that this was the 3rd beautiful woman he met hailing from this village however he might just consider signing up as a shinobi. He would look back at the woman, facing her as he would ask a question of his own. "The last guy who greeted me here didn't formally introduce himself, so may I know your name?"

Fu waited beside Wan- hoping someone would free them from this dreadfully boring scenario soon. Fu had grown impatient from the long travel, but she was trying her best not to act it. Eventually, Wan’s attention would be caught by that of a beautiful woman dressed in black emerging from the guard tower, which in turn, would catch Fu’s attention. For a moment, both stood in ‘aw’ at the woman’s beauty, her movements resembling that of liquid as she neared towards them. “Wow, she’s pretty.” Fu thought to herself, before her thoughts instinctively turned to the fact that Wan himself was mesmerized by her beauty- something that made her feel sort of jealous, but she did not know why.
The woman before them did not look like someone who would be on guard duty, but here she was. Were all shinobi of this village like her? She wondered. The woman greeted them then asked a series of questions which would give her a good idea whether or not they would be welcome. Fu figured it would be best for Wan to speak first since he had been here before and it was his idea to come here.
Wan spoke- sparing no minor details. Fu figured such things were taboo and it was strange to hear him speak with a stranger about them so freely, although he did say that the Kazekage was known for such things so maybe it wasn’t much of a secret. Wan then informed her of their relationship, she was a Genin who was traveling with him, which was no lie- however she felt as though their dynamic was more of a friendship- but for the time being she figured it was easier this way.
“Hi! My names Fu and it is just as he says! Wan asked me to accompany him to Sunagakure and here we are. You’re very beautiful by the way!” Fu would say in a chipper manner which was her constant mood. Fu smiled at the woman hoping that she would grant them access to village without any troubles.

Re: New Beginnings(Village Entry) [Fu, Mizu]

As the sun continued to set behind the pairs backs the orange glare would soften, allowing the light that back lit them casting shadows on their face, to cast her pale skin in a glow for only a few moments until it had finally set under the horizon line. Sunsets went to fast for Mizu’s liking… it was the one great thing about living in a desert landscape, your horizon was always unimpeded. The sky above had turned from the vibrant pinks and oranges into a somber purple and blue - the light twinkling of impossibly distant stars only just peeking out in the quickly fading light. Almost on cue torches along the outer walls blazed alive, casting the group in strong flickering fire light from above. Though the scenery around them was changing from one beauty to another she had her attention held by the pair - and what an interesting pair they were.
Her hands remained behind her back, her body poised in an almost regal manner - one befitting the garment she wore, but her hands were to remain behind her back for now. As she listened the violet pools would fixate on the copper pair - as the night drew in so would the smallest ring of blood red around her pupils. Her kind thrived in the dark after all but they needn’t know that. The eye contact remained unbroken as he spoke, sincerity ringing in his voice as he ticked off her questions with no hesitation - Wan Senju, previously missing nin, visited before with the approval of Han.. not the best record keeper as he was an older man who believed his mind was all he needed - her eyes widened at his open admission of being Hokage of Konoha then quickly narrowed at the mention of Kenshin by name. She had to remind herself that his name was meant to spread across the world for this very purpose and her expression relaxed back into tranquility all in the span of a few seconds at most. Lastly he was originally from Kirigakure - a world traveler if she had ever met one, and with such varying climates his wardrobe made more sense, practical for all environments one way or another.
Then his attention turned to the poison dart frog at his side, the tendrils of hair having darkened from the original powder blue into the color of a robins egg in the fire light - it suited the woman's skin tone. The smallest smirks would form on her lips at her introduction and more so on the choice of wording the man named Wan used - liberation was a telling word. Only one worthy… or only one left; Mizuki couldn’t help but think it as he spoke, though her face remained the impassive mask as always, save for the interested smirk she now wore. Was it just the firelight or was there a mischievous glint in her eyes as she pointedly waited to answer the Hokage’s question, instead refocusing her attention on her - now that they were closer she realized she was shorter than both of them of whom stood at the same height but she was caught off guard by the chipper energy that exuded off her… perhaps she was younger than she had thought.
Her eyebrow arched at the mention of her beauty, Mizuki couldn’t help herself it wasn’t as if she hadn’t thought she was good looking, but it wasn’t something people said so directly - at least not within the walls of Suna where it was rumored she had ties to certain high ranking individuals. No matter though it was flattering to be complimented, so the raised eyebrow turned into a demure smile and nod of appreciation of the girls’ frankness. Seems as though her initial thought had been closer to the truth - they had a very engaging story.
“Well. It seems you two have made a journey indeed. Firstly, Wan -”, she spoke his name with apparent interest, his extra focus on her being noted from earlier, her tone of voice silken, “-your honesty is greatly appreciated and I will oblige your question with an answer. My name is Mizuki Ohta, and might I say I am pleased I took this spare shift on this night as yours has been an interesting story to hear. You’ll have to tell me how you liberated Konohagakure, perhaps at a later date, as I’m sure a Kage such as yourself would like to rest after the distance you have covered.” It was… hard to place the meaning behind her words, much like the sand that sat under their shoes, her tone would shift between genuine concern and skepticism. Then her eyes would shift back to the girl, holding her gaze for a heartbeat before warmly smiling, “And you are a refreshing change of pace, for the eyes and the ears. It was a pleasure to meet you Fu.”
Finally she released her hands from behind her back and as they came into view the four inch dagger sharp nails would glint in the firelight as she raised one up to motion to the gate. “Let me be the first to welcome you back to Sunagakure, lots has changed since you were last here Wan… I would insist you save your exploring til the morning though as patrol guards would be unfamiliar with your faces, and we don’t want any commotion til they have a chance to meet you in the light.”, lowering her hands to smooth themselves over the fabric covering her torso and hips she would continue, “There is an inn just up the road, ‘The Desert Rose’, there should be ample room for you there.” She would walk to the guard tower again and press a button quickly, then repress it, allowing the gate to only open 3 meters before stopping. Leaning against the door frame to the tower she nodded at the two giving them more indication to enter. Her eyes never leaving their forms as they entered.
She would be watching.

"Mizuki. A name that fits you perfectly. It's a pleasure to meet you." Having learned the name of the beautiful woman excited Wan at first, happy that she was turning out to be more sociable than the guard before, along with gaining incite that everyone around her wasn't just some stuck up ex-con just trying to fulfill a role. He bowed at her with a gentle smile, his hair shagging forth over his face slightly as he makes the emotion, fixing it back into a near position after exchanging the motion to Mizuki. "I'm glad that my honesty holds weight in your heart, since being truthful with those you wish to have a solid connection with is the only way in achieving such things." He kept his feelings pure, with him and Fu having answered all of her questions to the best of their ability it had seemed as if the only thing left to do was to continue to converse since interest was beginning to be shown towards the more interesting details of their journey. Wan had never been asked to explain his life-story before, so hearing someone curious about how he took over Konohagakure itself was a question that he needed time to re-think since it was all but memories of a greater destiny in the eyes of the Senju. "I would love to share the memories of taking over Konohagakure with you, but as you said some rest is well needed for me and my friend, that'll at least give me some time to have the story lined up perfectly to tell." The young man could tell that their conversation was nearing its end, especially with the fact that the sun had begun to set at their backs, the moon shining it's light over them as night approached silently.
She had finally taken her hands from behind her back, Wan at first had always the thought that she was holding some form of weapon. Alas, it was only her keeping her hands from view this whole time, her dagger-sharp nails being revealed for the first time to the Senju as he catches his first glimpse of them, surely knowing that Mizuki most likely was skilled enough to use them as weapons if needed. Wan was welcomed back into the village of Sunagakure, the young lord watching as the charming woman returned over to the guard tower, a few moments pass before they would watch the gates slightly creep open. Just enough room for them both to pass by. He tossed his hands up towards the direction of the guard tower, a 'thanking' gesture as he begins to make his way towards the gates, remembering the information given to them in regards to shelter and staying 'safe' during their stay. "The Desert Rose it is!" he would call out, hoping he was loud enough for Mizuki to still hear him, although wanting to avoid full out yelling. "You can find us there if you ever want to stop by, but I'm sure I'll see you again before you see me."
Hoping that Fu was right behind him, if not already taking the lead and entering through the gates before him, Wan would enter into the village of Sunagakure once again. He would take the advice of Mizuki, choosing to grab a bite to eat with Fu before the two of them would make their way to the end they were told about. He was sure that the place would be a nice stay, providing them will some good rest during their visit and planned to meet with the man known as Kenshin the next day, hopefully during the afternoon once his presence has been made known to a point that people aren't suspicious of them. With their heads held high he would lead Fu to the finest restaurant he could find in the village, filling their stomachs up once again before the two would go to the Inn, paying for both their lounging as they would soon continue with the journey of a lifetime.

Fu simply watched as the two conversed- their attention appearing to be more focused on each other than herself. Fu could sense a sort of tension between Wan and Mizu although it was more an energy of curiosity more than anything else. They were probably attracted to each other- such things that Fu did not currently care for- or so she thought. Her bold orange eyes shifted from them as they spoke to the surrounding areas taking the scenery in. She was so curious about this new village that she could barely stand waiting any longer to enter.
Her attention was brought back to the conversation when Mizu had directly complemented Fu on her eccentric presence which Fu was proud of. She advised them that they should carry onto an inn nearby and wait their until morning so that they would be recognizable as guests instead of intruders. ‘Great! Were in!’ Fu thought to herself now that Mizu had agreed to grant them access to the village. The conversation finally ended, Fu waving goodbye at Mizu as she walked away… “Bye Mizu!” Fu would shout out behind her. Fu’s personality made it easy to make friends although it could sometimes be perceived as annoying due to her being positive all of the time.
Now that Mizu was gone, Fu would turn to Wan in a cheery manner. “Yay! We’re in!” Fu looked at the boy’s face, he looked mesmerized still from their encounter and Fu decided to poke fun at him- “Ooo you like her don’t you?” She would say not picking up her walking pace to a half jog towards the gate, “Come on, what are you waiting for? I’m hungry!” She yelled towards him as she made her way through the village gate.

Still leaning against the guard tower’s door frame she would watch the two newcomers enter the village gates, their parting words still fresh in her analytical mind - curious pair and worthy of note to say the least… it would be interesting to hear the story Wan and Fu presented to her when the time came. A small crease appeared between her brows as she contemplated the wording of his departing words though - He will see me before I see him… surely he didn’t mean it in the nefarious way she had come to think of everyone’s intentions but it still made her wary in the slightest degree. It was probably meant in an endearing way but for what purpose would someone she just met say it…
Her hand raised ruefully to wave them enter before she closed the gates behind their backs, sealing them in - for the night at least. She knew where the two would be at almost any given time now so that was its own comfort… or at least she knew where Wan would be as he was the one after transplants from the Kazekage, Fu on the other hand…. Her thoughts continued to work through possible scenarios as she entered the office again and shut the door behind her- palms placed flat on the wooden surface as if she was bracing herself in thought. Fu could easily be as harmless and cheerful as she presents herself but Mizuki was also capable of putting on a rouse like that - convincing enough to have gotten herself into the village those many months ago, of course her hearts allegiance had almost immediately swayed in favor of Kenshin after their meeting but that was neither here nor there. Giving a small disgruntled sigh she would push off the door frame and return to the seat, her feet now being propped uptop the smooth mahogany - either way they were simply visiting and if they were to step out of line she would be one of the first to be enacted to correct said misstep. In that she would have to accept her role and would simply hope for their swift exit.
