Task: It's closing time for the bank and all the patrons have come on gone whether its to deposit or withdraw money. The bank is hiring some local village Shinobi to do some maintenance work in place of the usual bankers. Cleaning, locking up the doors and checking the perimeter and any other small tasks the staff may have forgotten.
A bank had never felt this quiet. Kurado took a look at his surroundings. It wasn't massive, but it was a sizeable interior. Nice crimson rug laid out from the doors to the desk, several benches for folks waiting, and a few booths to deal with customers. The young man found himself wandering behind the booths, looking at a variety of locked cabinets, desks, and more unimportant documents laid out across them. Toward the very back was a vault. It looked different than he pictured it, or from the stories he read a kid about bank robbers. It looked very... logical? It seemed to lead to a small room, likely with an assortment of smaller chests and locked spaces for the good folks of Kiri's Ryo and valuable items to be stored.
Kurado couldn't help but wonder how many shinobi took this mission with the intent of stealing things, or at least planning out how they might steal something. There had to have been some precaution put in place. Maybe this whole mission was a set up to test genin? Perhaps outside the bank there was a higher ranking shinobi watching Kurado, seeing how long he would stare at the vault and its surroundings. He was making himself paranoid, thinking about the ins and outs of this mission. But, being watched by a higher ranking shinobi seemed to be the most likely secondary purpose to this mission.
The young man walked back to the front of the bank, opening the door and looking up and down the street. The sunset sky reflected nicely across the windows of stores from the other side of the road. All the browns and reds that colored buildings took on a sheen of bronze. It was beautiful. Kurado didn't pay much attention to the aesthetic appeal, his eyes were scanning all around. Some people were walking around, some holding hands, some calling out to their kids, some wanting just to be left alone. Could one of these people be the spy who was to watch Kurado? How many times had they already made their way by the bank? Should Kurado try and find who the spy was, was that a hidden objective of the mission?
The door shut as Kurado want back inside, hands on his head as he let out a sigh. "Alright... reel it in." Kurado closed his eyes and rubbed his temples. He was freaking out again, letting the paranoia get the better of him. It had been a struggle, dealing with that. Even before his father left, he had a tendency to look at was behind him more than what laid before him. Now it was even worse. His father had been a source of comfort, even with his own obsessions to go after the thing that had killed his mother. But, he always seemed to know how to soothe Kurado’s overactive mind. Perhaps he had experience dealing with own?
Kurado shrugged off the paranoia and went back to the seemingly mundane task of double checking everything. Doors locked. Garbage removed from cans (who brings food to a bank? Just wait until you leave to eat...). Windows locked and secure. Cabinets locked. Desk drawers locked— Kurado pulled out the drawer from a desk, several stacks of Ryo were tucked inside. More than he'd get for completing the mission. His eyes moved from the desk and to the windows, head turning to look all around him. Who was watching? Why would there be money here, so easy for the taking? "Maybe because it's a bank, idiot." Kurado shook his head, shut the drawer, and locked it.
One final scan around sufficed for the young man, he had enough of this place. He walked outside the bank, the sun a few degrees further below the horizon then the last time he checked. With a satisfying click, the door locked, and Kurado resisted the urge to take another look around to see if he was being watched. He left to turn in the keys to the bank from the mission center, already biting his tongue to ask about any hidden objectives of the mission, his thoughts sometimes scratched heavily as the uneasy walls of his mind.
