Food Shopping

Task: There is an old client that needs someone to do grocery shopping for them. Their body is aching, so they can’t do it themselves, and their social worker is off handling something else for the client. She asked for someone to do the food shopping for her today as she has a list prepared for those who accept this mission.

Having just completed his first mission, Saturo returned to the mission board quickly glancing over the remaining available missions. One that caught his eyes was a mission to go grocery shopping for an elderly member of the Sunagakure community. He rolled his shoulders, ripping the mission overview off the bulleting board before returning to the clerk. He handed her the mission briefing and received the full details upon receiving approval to undertake the mission.

Satoru quickly left the build as he was conscious that he was burning day light. He made his way across the city to meet Izuna, the client. She was a frail old women that sold Dango on the edge of the city. The requirement for her mission was to tick off items on her comprehensive shopping list. Apparently owning one of the most popular Dango Shops in the nation enabled her to hire others to do her regular shopping which in turn enabled her to focus on her Dango recipes.

Thankfully, todays shopping list was shorter than her usual. She simply needed ten kilos of rice flour, four kilos of sugar and a kilo of green tea. Sound simple enough, Izuna even pointed out her favourite shops as well as their locations to make the experience easier for Satoru. Following a brief interaction, Satoru departed the Dango shop, shopping list in one hand and a small budget in the other.

The owner of the store was so confident in the pricing that she gave Satoru the exact sum required to purchase all three of the required ingredients at their relevant weight. Satoru made his way around Sunagakure, going from shop to shop to pick up the different ingredients required for the mission.  Every person he passed gave him somewhat of a look of disgust but it didn’t phase Satoru. He picked up the ten kilos of rice flour, tossing the two five kilo bags over his right shoulder. He collected the four kilos of sugar that rested under his left arm and he balanced the final kilo of green tea atop the 10kilos of rice flour.

Satorus back was aching, as were his biceps and shoulders. But he figured transporting all of the required goods at once would be the best way to ensure that he can complete the mission in a timely manner. Having collected the necessary ingredients, he quickly made his way back to the Dango store, where was greeted with a warm smile and a cup of tea.

Satoru entered the store, his head almost reaching the ceiling. The old women gestured for him to leave the goods in the top left corner and Satoru happily obliged. He bowed his head, thanking the women for the cup of green tea as he lowered the scarf concealing his bottom lip in order to down the tea in one go.   Feeling re-energised, he made his way back towards the mission office in order to claim complete the contract and claim the reward associated with the task.
