Re: Who would ever want to be a village ninja?

Wandering about the village, Daiko wonders what would end up being in store for him today. He hadn't had too much on his mind for the past day or so, and was actually busy thinking about the soup that he had eaten a few days prior. Man, that soup was pretty good. He hadn't been eating like a king for the past few days, though he had definitely not been going hungry. He felt that he had a significant spry in his step, and he decided that it may be best for him to find his way to the missions board. He did get clearance to be able to do such things, and it would only be right that he seized the opportunity. Walking slowly through the village, he takes in the sights around him. The town didn't exactly seem to be bustling with activity, though it wasn't a ghost town. Daiko was growing more and more curious about the village, and what exactly went on around here. It wasn't like he was the only ninja around, though he hadn't really bumped into many other than Saya. It could've been as well that they ended up out on missions that the Mizukage had told Daiko about. It wasn't everyday that someone would have to take down criminals or other things like that in other villages, but that might be the norm here. Not knowing any better, Daiko finally makes his way to the office in which the missions were posted.
Daiko walks into the building and takes a look at what sort of things might be around. Scratching his chin, he looks around. He decided that it would likely be best that he grabs the first couple of scrolls that he sees lying around, and just do a bunch of missions at once. It wouldn't hurt to get some more Ryo in his pocket, nor would it cause him any trouble. Grabbing 4 missions, he briefly looks at the first one in front of him. Opening it up, he nods his head. This one required that he would have to do something involving some fishermen. It didn't seem like a big deal, so he slowly walked outside of the building and sat down to look over his work. Reaching the exterior he once again finds a bench to sit on, and looks around slowly. He had remembered a few days prior that he would meet Saya here, and hopefully, they would be able to knock out some missions. He figured that at the very least she would be able to show him what to do in these situations, and how to efficiently complete the task at hand without getting to distracted by other things.
Plus, Daiko thought, It would likely be good to have an ally just in case any of these missions ended up being more than Daiko could handle. Though it wouldn't likely be the case, Daiko knew internally that it would always be good to have a backup, no matter the situation.

It was morning time for all the small puppet masters and their found family. that meant an hour long process of Pinochio nudging a half sleeping Saya to try and wake her, Saya throwing larger and larger objects until either she ran out or Ai decided to stop watching from her seat across the room and actually step in. Today was a little of both. Ai watched the exchange for several minutes, a stone graduating to the alarm clock, the alarm clock graduating to a shoe, and the entire situation elevating until there was a stack of items gathered at the feat of the small puppet. When her fingertips wrapped around the ornate and very glass lamp on the bedside table, Ai finally spoke up.
"Okay Okay. Little sister. You know you need to be ready to go meet Daiko in a few minutes right? You still haven't done your hair or picked out an outfit yet. " In an instant Saya's eyes shot open. She'd completely forgotten that she'd gotten message from her newest friend that it was finally time to go do some missions. Bright blue threads wrapped around her form as she was hoisted from underneath the heavy cream colored comforter. She was out the bedroom door and getting ready before the confusion even hit Pinochio's painted on face.
Free of her preparation ritual the tiny terror grabbed her bag and headed towards her walk in closet. It was unbearably tiny. At only fifteen feet by fifteen feet it was dificult to even comprehend how the previous owners had survived with these awful conditions. Still, she'd managed to split the bulk of her wardrobe up amongst the closet she currently stood in and the empty bedroom. With a handful of garment racks and several wooden poles she'd screwed directly into the way she'd managed to find a place for "most" of her outfits. Without even thinking she grabbed the school girl uniform, but stopped. She'd gained a significant amount of power over the few short weeks she'd been training. Did this really fit her new style? What proceeded was a long discussion with herself(no like actually herself this time not herself personified by her puppets. Wierd right? I know.) which i will spare you the details of. I, your humble third person narrator had the displeasure of listening to all twenty minutes of her rambling about what each article meant. Finally, it was settled. From the back of her closet, she pulled a white dress. It was quite tight, which wasn't an abnormal thing for the girl, but the color palat was unique. The bulk of the outfit was a solid almost mechanical white accented with thick black lines. It came down to mid thigh, and split on both sides with an open section in the front. That wouldn't do. She pulled a pair of black tights up her legs quickly, checking herself in one of the seven full length mirrors held in the room. With a spin she nodded.
"Looks great. I knew you'd want to wear it at some point Aya, but it's missing one thing. " Ai's fingertips gripped the edge of the chair, using momentum to push herself up to a standing position. Nimble fingertips slid into the bag at her side--a perfect copy of the one saya was always seen with. Inside was a long black velvet box. "So. It's still important for you to keep your bloodline hidden. You're from a very powerful family and I've no doubt that there are people who would want to cause you harm in order to learn more about what your clan can do but... With the work you've been doing and all of the work you've put in to get in touch with the power of your blood, I thought it was only fitting that you have some symbol of where you came from. so.... I thought maybe you could add this to your outfit?" She opened the box and Saya gasped. Within was a thin silver chain with a pendant at the center. It was a necklace. The pendant was expertly crafted with the symbol of island coutry set with flawless gemstones, but in the center was etched a deep black marking she only vaguely remembered.
"That. That's the symbol for the Senju clan. many have fought and died wearing this symbol in ninja history. It's a symbol of pride for many, but for us its a subtle reminder of where we came from." Pinochio spoke up. His tone was reserved but matter of the fact. He was as surpised as Saya--which was impressive considering yanno. All the same person. Stepping forward, Saya allowed her sister to latch the necklace across her neck. It set dead center beneath her collar bones and glinted in the light.
"I.. I love it. AI. I don't..." For once in her life, The unstoppable bundle of energy who thrived on convorsation about anything and everything was speachless. She strode the distance from the chair to the mirror she'd just been at in three bounding steps. She could feel her aura pulsing as her chakra reacted to her emotions. After gathering herself, she returned.
"It's nothing. I thought with your current shift in power it was appropriate. One day, when you're stronger, you'll be able to wear the symbol with pride. for now you'll always have a reminder. Lets go kid." Saya only nodded. What could she say? They left the broken down home they'd inherited upon moving here, and headed down the lane towards where they were meant to meet daiko....but first, breakfast.
The old lady saw Saya and immediately recognized what was going on. Saya gave the kind cook a bright smile and wave. Ai held up a hand also, but instead of an open handed wave, she held up two fingers, and the woman nodded with understanding. In minutes, the quartet were on their way to where they expected daiko to be waiting with two milk tea cups and a plastic wrapped parcel that held two orders of mappo tofu.
"Daiko!!" The food container swung wildly as Saya rushed towards her friend. In an instance she was there, the bag was open, and half the contents were pouring into her mouth as her sister, who quickly moved to intercept the extra container before it could be dropped or lost, held the extra container out to their newest friend and teammate.
"you two should eat up quickly. I want for us to complete a not trivial laundry list of tasks before days end. You've had plenty of time to recoup and be creative saya, Now it's finally time to get some work done. " Saya beamed. she was ready and resolved. As the last few bites of spicy tofu emptied from the container, the sauce tipped up and swallowed in an instant, Saya took a moment to grip the necklace gently, looking down as her fingertip traced the symbol before finally, she responded.
"Lets do this. Did you grab mission scrolls already?"

Daiko nodded his head. "Oh, you know I grabbed dem scrolls." Holding up the scroll that was listed as 'helping fishermen', he nodded his head. "We might as well get this one out of the way first..." Standing up off of the bench, Daiko would then head towards where they were supposed to be handling these issues. It wasn't too far off and he made sure that Saya was following him. Trailing around the different parts of the village, Daiko then picks up the pace and begins to sprint at a somewhat faster pace as to get this mission out of the way as soon as possible. He wasn't entirely enticed with the idea of doing menial labor like this, though he assumed that it would the best way for him to get the Ryo that he needed to keep fresh clothes on his back. He hadn't entirely come to the realization that people can wash their clothes. He had honestly just been using his technique to summon a new outfit every time he was sullied. To be completely honest, he was curious about where the hell all these shirts would end up. Daiko was sure that he'd find out in due time.
Stretching out his arms, Daiko looks over to Saya. "Alright, so here we are... This is where we're meant to be helping haul fish... Or something like that." The first thing that was noticeable about the area was the smell. It wasn't that the fish wasn't fresh, it was the sheer number of them. Walking over to someone who looked like they were in charge, Daiko blinks. "So, these the fish?" The man looked at him as if Daiko had 'Idiot' tattooed on his forehead, and scoffed. Squatting down, Daiko wraps his arms around the box, before letting out a wheeze of agony. Damn. That was a heavy-ass crate. Daiko would've sworn the thing weighed at least 150 pounds on his own. Looking pleadingly at Saya, he was about to ask her for a solution to this problem before he ended up coming up with a means to an end on his own. Running down the line of a few crates, Daiko places a mark seal on each of them and gives Saya a thumbs up. "I've got these three under control. Grab what you need to, and let's get going."
Nodding his head, Daiko leads the way back to where they were supposed to drop off the fish. It was a supply shop not too far off, and Daiko made his way outside of the shop. Focusing for a moment, Daiko forms the Ram hand-seal and places the palm of his hand onto the ground. As he did this, a poof of smoke appeared, along with the row of fish crates that he had touched. That was definitely better than carrying them and looking back at Saya, he wondered if that was all of them. For the final part of this mission, Daiko would sigh before begrudgingly using all of his strength to push each crate through the entrance piece by piece.
Letting out a slight gasp for breath, Daiko sighs. "Alright Saya..." he then pulls out the scroll that said "Tour Guide" on it. "I'm going to have you lead the way on this one..."

Re: Who would ever want to be a village ninja?

Alright. This should be pretty easy. All they needed was to get a bunch of boxes of fish from one place to another? That would be so easy. As she looked at the boxes she was grinning. Then Daiko tried to lift the first one. It was taking him quite a while. She turned her attention from her friend as she decided it was time to show Daiko how it was done. She didn't even budge the first crate. Taking a deep breath she tried once more and managed to slide her feet backward several inches from the strain of trying to move them. That wouldn't do. Shifting focus, she remembered that she was a puppet master. The mamoth Coach puppet stepped up. WIth an audible "ptttt" he spit in his hands(nothing came out. he's a puppet stay with me) and then sausage fingers wrapped around the base of the crate. With a might heave....Absolutely nothing happened.
"COME ON COACH PUT YOU BACK IN IT!!!! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT? WHY YOU GOT ALL THOSE MUSCLES IF YOU CANT LIFT ONE LITTLE CRATE?!" The two locked eyes. Coach seemed pretty angry at this. redoubling his efforts he gave a great heave, the wood of his fingers slintering slightly at the force of exertion. That was, of course the only thing that happened. The crate stayed still.
"Um. Tria. I feel like this would be a good time to point out that our strength is directionally proportionate to your own strength averaged with the ease at which you can control the strings. Since you have the strength of a soggy piece of bread uh.... We also do not hold very much. Maybe you should just do what Daiko did?" He motioned to their friend and Saya shifted focus. The little scamp placed a mark seal on the crates. That didn't make sense. Mark seal was only useful for tracking and summoning. It wouldn't lighten the boxes enough that she could lift them and carry them along. Saya disappeared for a few moments.
Whe she returned, she was followed by a large barrel chested man. Coach opened up, his body turning into a stage, and the man hefted three large containers onto the wood before she stopped him.
"Alright. Thats about all he'll be able to carry. We'll have to make several trips. You can just hang out here and we'll be back." As she activated the mechanism to allow Coach to turn back into his puppet form, the boxes hidden in his chest, she saw the boxes daiko marked disappear. OH. The marked seal was placed on THINGS that could be summoned also. That actually made a bit of sense. Following suit she placed a mark seal on the other two crates that they needed to move.
"Let's go Coach. Knees to chest" True to form the two ran the entire way to where they needed to drop off, and Coach jogged in place, his knees going as high as the threads could make them the whole way. ONce there he opened the hatch at his back, and flipping over to do a hand stand, poured the boxes onto the desired place. She easily summoned the last two and they were done.
(541 first mission done)
Once again she took the scroll offered to her. This time the realization of the fun that could be had was immediate. Their job was to give a tour to a group of people visiting the village. The sheer amount of fun that could be done was endless and she had the time to plan something spectacular.
"Alright. Everyone gather around. We'll be your tour guide for today! I'm the illustrious cosplay queen Sayatria from the village hidden in the mist, and this is my teammate Daiko of.... uh. Daiko! Now. Keep up, we'll be moving very quickly and there's quite a bit you'll want to see so follow me! " Considering for a moment, she turned to daiko and nodded. It's a shame she couldnt talk to him in her head like her puppets. That was the downside to having family that were real. Still, there were upsides and they definitely outweighed the bad.
"First up! we'll be seeing the state of the art training facility. The Kiri training facility is the most top of the line facility of any in the world--dont fact check that its totally true. here our ninja can work and train hard to survive and get stronger so we can do missions for the great hokage. We will be visiting the hokage building but remember no flash photography and definitely no entering the building to try and meet the kage themselves.....yanno. now that I think about it. I haven't actually ever met the Mizukage. huh." Saya went from lost in contemplation to moving down the street quickly, going about ten meters before finally turning back to see that her tour group was not in fact there.
"LETS GO SLOW POKES!!!! lots to see, not enough time to see it all!!!! if there are any questions, feel free to ask them!" As she said this she glanced directly at Daiko. While he was helping with the mission, she knew he'd just gotten here himself, so inevitably he would also have questions. That actually was perfect. To people who weren't used to Saya, she could come off as quite intimidating, and him asking questions would definitely help them learn.
"So. The first stop is the greatest shop in the entire village. This is the Mappo tofu shop. Now everyone gather around and pick up an order. This will be a combination walking tour and lunch trip! Be sure to tip the old lady well because she's totally hecking awesome and she makes the best food in town!!!" She quickly got in line, grabbing the parcel that was waiting for her on the counter, and then took a step back to let the crowd of people place their orders.
"Tria... You know that you've not eaten anywhere else right? You can't possibly say for sure they're the best." In hushed tones Pinochio commented to his controler. Each of the puppets for one reason or the other also had a plastic take out bag filled with their own container of food.
"yea yea. Its the best. Eat your tofu."

Re: Who would ever want to be a village ninja?

Having finished the first mission of their list, Daiko was pleased. The fish were overall pretty easy to move, and they ended up doing so in record time. Daiko noticed as the puppet that Saya had was able to transport the required things that they had needed with some effort, and was impressed with his own quick thinking. Up next for them was the Tour Guide mission. This one should be pretty easy. Giving Saya the lead on this one was definitely the best choice, as she had likely more knowledge about the village than he did. Passing the training fields, Daiko noted to himself that it might be good to someday hone his skills here. He wouldn't mind having Saya teach him a few more jutsu along the way, and was somewhat excited to see what he might be able to accomplish. It wasn't the worst idea he'd had, at least. His 'worst idea' Was reminded to him as they passed by the Mizukage estate. Ohhhh, man. He had also found out that his friend had never actually met the Mizukage. Weird. Though at the beginning of meeting the man he seemed quite inviting, Daiko learned very quickly that his patience was rather thin, at least for traveling ninja such as himself.
Following along at a good pace, Daiko notes that they ended up at the same tofu shop that he had been at before. Ah, man. Of course, Saya would show them this. As she picked up an order that was obviously already made to go, Daiko slithered his way to the front. He looked at the lady, who he wasn't sure recognized him or not. In classic fashion, he asked for '1 order' and the lady looked at him confused. Not knowing what else to say, he pointed towards Saya, and then the lady nodded and frantically continued to work while taking in the massive influx of orders. Finally getting his food, he walks over to Saya. "Alright... So. What else do they have here to see..? I noticed that we visited the different main areas, I noticed that there was a statue somewhere in the village. I'm sure the tourists will be curious because I'm living here and I still don't know what's up with that." Daiko nods his head. He wasn't entirely familiar with the island, though he definitely knew his way around. It was just interesting to see what little tidbits could be picked up.
As the patrons finished their meals, they seemed excited to get back to the tour. Though it was a bit overbearing sometimes, Daiko noted that the people seemed to respond really well to the high-energy approach that Saya had to show them around. Nodding his head, Daiko then takes a moment to address the crowd. "I can assure you, out of all the tofu shops I've been to, this one has been the best so far." Though it was true that it was the best tofu he'd had, he neglected to mention that it was the ONLY tofu that he had eaten before.

She glanced about the group. Everyone was digging in to the delicious food she'd suggested for them and there were smiling faces all around. That was good to see. As she was considering what the heck to actually show them next, Daiko spoke up. Bless him.
"Ah. Uh. Yes. Quickly now quickly." She'd lead them far too quickly through the town again, grinning a bit to herself as she heard the sloshing of spicy liquid spatter ever few minutes onto the ground. She was definitely keepping them on their toes. After about a ten minute walk down long winding back alleys that avoided the main thoroughfare for no reason other then it made the trip seem more like an exciting chase scene then a boring walk through the woods, They arrived at the monument.
"Ok. So. This is uh. The statue. I believe its the past kage and he's really scary so they made a statue of him. ONWARD!" She took little time in pushing the group towards the next thing. There was so much to do and so little time to see all the cool things. Their next destination was the training facility. She led them through the double doors and inside. A few ninja could be seen working out in the large gym area, and several were sparring at the sparring pits.
"so. Like I said this is the training facility. Best in the entire world--don't fact check that. There are numerous different options in here that can be used to get stronger, faster, work on technique or even spar. To your left you can see two of our random unnamed shinobi fighting one another. The one on the left is going to win because the right is telegraphing when he's going to throw his right hook." Like clockwork the scene unfolded. Whether because this was a flaw the ninja planned to take advantage of or because she'd specifically pointed it out, The left hook was thown and met with a brutal front kick that knocked the loser completely out of the ring.
"So. Next and for our final stop of the tour we'll be going to the mizukage's building. Remember there will be no entering the mizukage's building, the front office, or trying to enter his personal chambers. Doing so will alert the higher ups and a bunch of really scary masked ninja WILL show up and ruin your day through torture, interrogation, and inevitably death. As you can see the building is like. so crazy huge. It's super impressive. Uh. If there aren't any other questions you can feel free to go to our gift shop and pick up a suvenier. They have all sorts of cool things." She motioned towards a small stall that was set up just to their left. Of course it wasn't an actual gift shop. Instead she pointed them towards the instument salesmen who she'd been paying for months now to hang around wherever she was going and play music for her performances.

Re: Who would ever want to be a village ninja?

Daiko nodded as they began on their way again, and was absolutely impressed when they had ended up making it to the training area. This was definitely a place that excited Daiko. Though it wasn't the most insane luxurious area ever, there was everything that a ninja could need to progress their power. It was downright impressive, honestly. Grinning to himself, when Saya mentions the sparring going on, Daiko looks down. He could imagine that someday maybe he and Saya could go toe to toe in one of these areas. Though he was almost positive that he would get his ass kicked into next week, he still thought it would be a fun experience for the two of them while they had time together. Though they had only really ever been allies, Daiko was sure that he could learn a lot about combat prowess if he were to actually go head to head with another strong ninja. Nodding happily to himself, Daiko continues on with the tour, sticking close behind Saya and he himself pointing in general directions to focus the group's attention on what it was that she was talking about. Pleased with his helping, Daiko carries on.
As they walked out of the building, Daiko noticed that Saya had picked up her pace. It was quite amusing to him at first, considering that she was to be giving the tour, and the people behind them were scrambling and spilling their soup as they tried to keep up. Maybe not exactly the experience that they were paying for, but an experience nonetheless. Once they reached the monument in Kiri, Daiko noticed that something looked somewhat off about the figure that was here. It was a bit intimidating. Not entirely sure why, Daiko listens to the vague explanation given by Saya, and he carries on his way. Ah, the tour was just about over now, and honestly, Daiko was happy to hear it. Though he didn't entirely mind learning more about this village. The final stop that she had them on was the Mizukage's chambers and entrance. Though she had just told him a few days prior that he would need to go in there to speak with the Mizukage, he noticed that she informed none of the tourists to go in or disturb this building. It was a bit strange.
At this moment, Daiko realized that the Mizukage was likely someone not to be trifled with, who had short patience. The fact that he managed to enter and meet with the man was a blessing. Daiko recalled that he had been a bit nervous, and ended up saying some stupid things and making a fool out of himself in front of this leader. Ah, man... Daiko didn't want to take too much time worrying himself, and he looks at the gift shop and the many items that were 'for sale'. Nothing really piqued his interest at that moment, so he focused back on Saya, tossing her a scroll that read Monkey Business. "Alright, Saya. Let's get to work on the next one." Daiko gives her a grin and a thumbs up.

Re: Who would ever want to be a village ninja?

"right. the next mission. The mission that comes after the one that we just did and is next in line. uh. And has mission details.....that.. we know?" Saya had absolutely no clue what actually came next. Thankfully while she hadn't been paying much attention to what came next in their exciting mission extravaganza, it wasn't generally her responsibility to know things. That was precisely why there were four members of team puppets.
"Don't get over excited, but for the next mission we'll need to head to the docks. It looks like our mission is to figure out where on the islands a group of monkeys go at end of day. Some big wigs at Kiri tech implimented genetically enhanced monkeys in order to cut costs and increase productivity. Basically they fired all the people they actually had to pay and instead are employing monkeys, but the monkeys go off somewhere after the work is done and they need to find out where. The intel suggests that it's not on the main island. How they managed to secure passage to one of the off shoot islands is beyond me, but I think our best bet would be to take your.....vessel on a bit of a sail in order to find where these wayward employees spend their off time." Pinochio tried. He really did. It was near impossible to give these mission details and still expect the small ninja to not ramp the exictement level up to eleven. Any mission that required her to take the pirate ship was well.... One that would not start quietly. That made the accompanying silence much more terrifying. Pinochio stood with his back to his controler as he spoke, and waited for the excited squeels of a teenage girl getting to play pirate. When they didn't come he considered the possibility that he could just not turn around and whatever she was plotting wouldn't be happening. While that worked in theory because pinochio was an inanimate object who by definition lacked sentience, and by proxy object permanence, he knew that the more time that he allowed to pass, inevitably the worse it would be when he did adress the issue. When he finally did turn to tell Saya to stop whatever she was doing.... she was gone. In a moment she'd zipped off into a building on their left side. Oh. it was a clothing shop.
"she'll be back in just a moment Daiko. It is apparently time for a costume change." It took little time at all, to be fair. Almost as soon as her disappearance was noticed she was back in her full pirate garb. Thigh length black leather boots fed into her dark black pants. A vibrant red sash covered the convergence point between these and a free flowing white shirt that hung loosely to her form beneath a royal blue captains coat with gleaming silver buttons. Finally with a nod she slid the three cornered hat onto her head, adjusting two ravens feathers that had shifted beneath the broach.
"Right. It's sailing time. LETS GO!!!" And as usual she was off.

Re: Who would ever want to be a village ninja?

Daiko shakes his head slowly. 'Ohhh, man.' This was going to be a good one. Daiko had learned from Saya's explanation that they were going to have to be doing something that had to do with hunting down monkeys. This wasn't a worst-case scenario for Daiko by any means, though it was still somewhat amusing to him that this is what their time was being spent on. Kirigakure using genetic engineering to make monkeys? It didn't surprise Daiko that SOMEONE was to think of an idea like this, it mainly just surprised him that someone followed through with it. It was no matter though. Nodding his head slowly, he agrees that the group should search around the island for these creatures. Though he had bathed in the waves many times, he had never actually been sailing in the boat that Saya was captain of. For a moment, it takes him back to reminisce on the first time that he had met her.
Walking through the village, Daiko assumed that they were going to the dock in which the boat was kept. He was wrong. Shaking his head for a moment, he noticed that they had arrived at a costume shop. Giving out a slight chuckle, he watches as Saya goes in and changes outfits into a more 'suitable' pirate outfit. Man, these missions couldn't be any more entertaining. As she made her way out as quickly as she had disappeared, Daiko follows along. Though he was content wearing his usual clothes, he decided that it might be fun to take a moment to give this costume-change type thing a try. As Saya came out in all her glory, Daiko would then make the seal of confrontation, a wave of markings appearing over his body at a speed of 75, the moment it completed he poofed in a cloud of smoke. The smoke cleared, and Daiko was wearing a sleeveless shirt with a picture of Saya's face on it, almost identical to the tarp in which had been on the masts of one of the ships. He also had on tan shorts with a black zig-zag stripe going horizontally around the thighs and a little purple 'Smee' cap. Though his face didn't really change from his usual blank look, Daiko was quite enjoying himself.
Taking a moment to blink and take in the awe and admiration he would obviously get from Saya and the bunch for being able to change outfits without taking time out of the mission, he would then follow along with her to the ship. Once they got on, Daiko would do everything that a good assistant would do, save for swabbing the deck. There was no way in hell he was going to be swabbing anything. Instead, it would be likely that he would look out while trying to find out with his teammates what island the monkeys would most likely be on. It would be obvious if there were bananas just littering the shores of an island, but Daiko wasn't sure it would be that easy.
