Enrai had been walking for a while with an old woman on his back, heading towards another small village that would not even be on a map, let alone be part of a village network. As soon as he got to the front of the town, a large number of people were there, and it seemed that this was the town that was going to have the wedding, as there were more people than the village could handle. It also seemed like the town really disliked outsiders, as they were looking towards him with outward hostility and coldness, and someone related to the old woman came over and dragged her away from him before they all met up and started talking to each other, completely ignoring Enrai. Enrai hated being ignored, and so he was starting to get a bit angry, and so he started walking off before he got a little too heated at this ungrateful bastard. As he was walking off, he felt a smaller hand on his arm, and he looked back seeing that it was the old woman. He questioned the old woman while a bunch of town people told her to ignore him and continue on with their planning of the celebration. It seemed that they needed someone strong to take the dowry to the people that were being married in the procession that was close to the town, but not right next to it. They were going as a group, and the dowry needed to be there before them, so someone needed to go ahead and deliver the money before the procession got there, and so they were discussing who should go. The old woman walked over and introduced Enrai to them, saying that he escorted her here, so he would be a perfect candidate for delivering the dowry. The people had quite a negative reaction to the suggestion, but it seemed a lot of them only slightly spoke some objections about it being an outsider, as it seemed that the old woman held quite a bit of weight within the small village. Enrai said that it was fine and that he did not need to bother them, but the old woman insisted, saying that he reminded her of her son and it was an auspicious omen that they had met. Enrai conceded to the old woman, even though he simply wanted to continue to the sand village, and so he took the dowry across town before the procession began. After the procession started, the old woman stuck to him for a bit so that he would participate in the wedding, and he thought that it was not really appropriate, but it was hard fighting against the old woman’s stubbornness. The groom understood, and said that he might as well just enjoy the event, because his mother was not to be trifled with, and what she said goes, so there was no changing her mind. Enrai participated in the wedding, and had a bit of a good time, but had to say farewell because he had to get to Suna.
