Hiroki v Nobo

Eugh
Not having any missions to do was sooooo boring to Hiroki. He despised not being able to do anything. All he wanted to do was fight someone.
Emotions were currently surging all around as he was becoming more and more irritated with the lack of shit to do. However, Hiroki would still try to remain...somewhat...calm. Emphasis on somewhat. But how on earth could he possibly do that at a time like this?
Finally deciding to just take a break from everything, he headed over to the Advanced Training Facility. Maybe in the off chance, someone would stumble along for a sparring session? Who knew at this point.
Either way, once the boy had reached there, Hiroki decided he would just take a few moments to close his eyes and meditate. Just surround himself with the calming sounds of nature.

The life of a Kage wasn't as glamorous as the literature made it out to be. Sure, Kage came and went and filled pages of history books with their deeds in battle, but when peace rolls in, it's bureaucracy and cramped hands. He wondered if pushing pens had made him lose the ability to throw a proper punch. Luckily, his office had been outfitted with a gym; half the time he was working, the other half a clone took over while he lifted steel and basked in sunlight.
Yet the ability to know his villagers and interact with them was something precious, something he didn't want to lose. He just wasn't very good at socializing; that was one of the reasons why he counted the number of friends in one hand. How else could he interact with his villagers then? By fighting them, of course.
No malice or ill intent was present in the feeling, to be sure. In fighting, a lot can be learned about both parties, and connections could be made via this interaction of warriors. It was because of this that Noboru Kaito walked towards the Advanced Training Facility, where he hoped he would find someone to spar with, perhaps some familiar face, mayhaps a complete stranger with whom he could form a new bond.
The Rule Of Two.
One to yield power, one to covet it.
The dream of a self-sufficient Kumogakure, in which he was welcome but not required.
Sure enough, when he made it to the facility, he found a lad meditating. He would do, Noboru thought. He removed the white robe of the Raikage and the pyramidical hat, letting his half his face be seen, the other half hidden by an eyepatch that ran from his red hair line down to his jaw, setting them down in a bench. He also started removing his armor, taking off the gauntlets and breastplates, as well as the padded jerkin, staying only with a sleeveless black shirt on, tight enough that one could see the robust musculature of the titan.
He called out to the boy. "You. What's your name?"

Hands resting upon his knees, palms facing up towards the air, Hiroki took a few deep breaths. Everything was fine. Everything was going great...at least, that's what he kept telling himself. On the inside, he was screaming at the top of his lungs because he wasn't a huge fan of meditation; however, he also knew deep down that it was necessary in order to achieve a balanced self. If even one of body, mind, and spirit were out of sync, then it messed up the trio of ideas. That's what his father used to tell him at least...
Why did I have to be so stupid that day... Hiroki thought, a single tear managing to sneak its way from his eye; trailing down along the left side of his cheek. How boring. A single tear. What would his parents think?
But he didn't really have much time to contemplate that thought, as he heard a voice echo out from in front of him. Eyes ever so gently fluttering open, Hiroki took a second to wipe the tear away from his face, gazing upon the rather muscular man, not even really paying attention to what he was taking off, until the kid's blue eyes stumbled upon the hat that was now laying on the ground. It was the Raikage...?
"The name's Hiroki. Hiroki Shimada, Raikage." In that same moment, he also politely bowed, honoring the man standing before him. "If you don't mind me asking sir, what brings you down here? Wouldn't expect to see you here of all places." He noted, rather confused. It was rather odd, but who knows. Everyone certainly had their reasons.
However, Hiroki had an inkling of what might happen, noticing as if the Raikage was preparing for something.

A single tear rolled down the face of the lad, who upon being called, opened his eyes slowly to take in the figure before him. Noboru eyed him cautiously, arms crossed across his chest, to the sitting lad introducing himself as Hiroki Shimada, yet addressing him informally. If there was one thing Noboru didn’t like were formalities, yet he had come to understand their power: speech, for all its flaws, is a formidable tool of control, and in addressing someone of his station with the proper honorifics, one takes a vocal bow, as if a physical bow, one which the youth took after introducing himself before asking what brought the Raikage to the facilities.
“Pleasure to meet you, Hiroki Shimada. My name is Noboru Kaito, but you can address me as Lord Raikage. Honorifics exist to honor those you speak to, and in the Kumogakure, you will address any man or woman of the rank Master and above as Lord or Lady, respectively.” He spoke calmly, not trying to chastise the lad. “Failure to do so can be seen as an offense. Clear?”, he asked, as he nodded his head once towards the man before him.
“I am conducting a random troop inspection. The world is at a crossroads, one road leading to peace, the other, to conflict. I want to make sure our troops are ready. So. You’re today’s candidate.”
He uncrossed his arms, and lowered himself into a fighting position. Between himself and the lad, five meters berth. “Let’s go, Hiroki Shimada.”

Well, it looks like Hiroki was off to a rather excellent start with the Raikage. It had slipped his mind to address the man as Lord. With this being said though, as the Raikage went on with his own introduction, Hiroki didn't show signs of ill intent, and listened to his words carefully. From what it seems, the genin wasn't in too much trouble...as of right now that is. Which was always great, especially when it would be coming from such a high ranking position of power like Kage.
Bowing once more to show his respect towards what was just spoken, Hiroki spoke up saying "Clear as crystal, Lord Raikage."
And that's when it dawned on him...Hiroki was about to spar with the Raikage. Now this, is what the boy was waiting for. Something fun; because there was in no way, shape, or form that this would end up being a drag. Lips now curving into an upward arch to form a slight smirk, Hiroki stood up.
Only a few moments had passed before the boy was taking on his own stance; which was to somewhat replicate the height of Noboru. Hiroki would make the first move, but he wanted to take a second to ready himself before hand. Even though this would most likely not result in serious injury, he still liked to have a plan of attack. It was never wise to just rush in to the thick of things. That's how serious injuries, whether intentional or unintentional, would occur.
His advantages: he's stronger, faster, and had way more experience with combat. My advantages are none right now, but if I can take him by surprise... These thoughts formulated within the mind of Hiroki in a matter of seconds. Quick thinking was always one of his strengths, thankfully. And it always came in handy.
After his strategy was decided, that's when he went for it, closing the 5 meter distance between the two as fast as possible. When he neared the Raikage, that's when Hiroki took a different stance, to get lower than him, throwing a punch towards his stomach.

The confirmation that the information was well received came with the honorific attached to his title, as well as a bow. He was a quick learner, though the bar was set low on that instance.
The lad took a moment, his stance mimicking Nobo’s as he observed the adversary, as if to take in Noboru’s frame and examine what he was up against. Not a bad start. Taking off, the lad sprinted towards the Raikage, and as he drew closer, he lowered his stance to aim a punch at the redhead. With his own hands close to face level and a lowered stance, the strike could connect, however Noboru pushed his weight to his right side with a quick sidestep, and then by holding his weight there he sprung his left leg from the ground to aim a lowkick at the lowered stomach of the boy. Given how far inside his leg range the boy travelled, the leg was well on its way to make contact with his diaphragm, although Noboru made sure to calculate where it could hit so as to ensure the kick would hurt more the boy’s pride than his body.
If successful, he would retract his leg back and take a step back. In other circumstances, his follow up would depend on the lad’s own reaction.

Just as expected and actually hoped for, the Raikage simply sidestepped Hiroki's first swing. The follow up was rather unexpected however. He was expecting a punch in return, but a kick would do as well he guessed. Hell, maybe this could be used within his favor.
Letting the kick land right on his gut, the teen did his best to flex before it landing; to at least somewhat soften the blow. Even still doing this, it was rather painful; once again, as expected. Luckily though, it wasn't quite enough to knock him off his feet. As it connected, he feigned keeling over in pain, utilizing it to somewhat shield any further blows. This would also be used in tandem to try and hide wrapping his left arm around the leg which had just hit. There was a huge emphasis on try hiding, as Hiroki knew his body simply wasn't large enough to completely shield it from view. But perhaps it was just a big enough area to at least muddle the intentions of doing so.
Another thing Hiroki made sure to note was that if this grapple was actually successful, he certainly wouldn't be able to hold it for long. When it came to contests of strength like that, he wasn't all that great. But the point of this grab wasn't to try and hold Nobu as long as possible; Hiroki just tried to do it for his follow up attack.
Even if his left arm didn't manage to take the left leg, he would still lean in the direction of the Raikage. This time around, there would be two potential attacks being made. The first of these two was a headbutt, geared to just be a distraction; aiming once again toward the stomach. If this landed, it wouldn't be an extremely hard hit. On the other hand, both figuratively and literally, Hiroki threw his right fist underneath his own body. This punch was aimed for the left leg of the raikage, which was hopefully caught up to have a higher chance for a successful blow. Being the main attack, it had more power behind it than the headbutt, but it still wasn't full force.

The lad was spirited, Noboru had to give him that much. He took the hit like a champ, the redhead’s held back kick still a kick nonetheless, and immediately tried to feign his hand around his leg. A smirk flashed on his face, as he allowed his leg to be caught -- usually this low kick would be a dry impact, in and out almost in the same motion so as to allow the kinetic energy to accumulate solely within the opponent’s body without one’s own needing to face the opposite reaction to the impact.
When Hiroki tried to move forward with the double approach, Nobo leaned back to avoid the range, yet he ensured his knee now pressed against Hiroki’s abdomen so he couldn’t advance against Kaito’s pressure. As Hiroki discharged his headbutt and punch, Kaito pushed with his leg to push Hiroki away from him.

Somehow, young Roki managed to actually entangle his arm around his opponent's leg. Yet it still wasn't enough to actually land a blow. Granted, his opponent is one of the five Kage, some of the most powerful, if not most powerful, shinobi throughout the land. So, that just meant he would have to kick it up a notch. Or several. Through almost whatever means necessary, the half-jet black, half off-white haired kid was determined to get at least one hit on the beefy man.
He noticed he missed while his head was lurching forward, too forward. With the slight calculations made before following through with the attack, he knew that the body of Nobu wasn't originally as far forward as the two were now leaning. Right before the contact would have been made with both the punch and the headbutt, the knee suddenly bent, and dug it's way into the abdomen of Hiroki Shimada. This abrupt motion upward caused the grip on his leg to vanish, making the punch nearly miss. For a split second, there was just simply nothing as both of his attacks faded away. Until the Lord's knee then proceeded to shove him away in the opposite direction. Since it was rather unexpected, and his own means of balance had fallen through, the weight behind this hit naturally sent the mischievous ninjutsu specialist sliding backwards about 3 meters. That was clearly without much actual force behind it as well. If that was indeed the case, he'd hate to see what a full force swing from the Lord Raikage was actually capable of. It was duly noted within the brain of the Shimadan genin to not piss this man off.
A smirk now crossing his own face, Hiroki couldn't help but say "That was a nice way to escape. Might just have to use that for myself in the future." Before launch his next series of attacks, he would take a second to recoup and reground himself. Shifting his stance to gain more balance, the weight was now being placed into the entirety of the soles of his feet; primarily in the toes. Fists reaching back outwards, arms not fully extending all the way out, his right would be kept near his face. This was to ensure to block any attacks directed at that region.
It wasn't until after an awkwardly long period of sound splitting silence, that Roki made his next move. To start it off, he'd misdirect by running inwards, towards the right side of Noboru. At the very last second, being a little under a meter away now, he shifted his weight once more, launching to the left side; followed by a punch with Hiroki's left hand. Being all about feigned moves, getting the upperhand, and an overall chaotic fighting style, this wasn't just as simple as it appeared though. He'd purposefully miss the target entirely, instead opting to aim for the ground. Once contact had been made, he'd use the built up force to propel his body off the ground. Instead, the real attack was sending a sweeping kick, aiming towards behind the knee of the left leg of the ginger.

The genin was pushed back by the strength behind the hip push of the Raikage; a solid technique to be used in physical confrontations when distance was needed, as it took advantage of an opponent’s momentarily distraction in the preparation of a strike to gain a minute upper hand. Or upper knee? Nah.
Hiroki the genin complimented the Raikage’s technique with a smirk on his face, yet the Raikage’s expression didn’t change, a stoic expression regarding the youth just a few meters away from him. He observed the genin’s foot work, placing the brunt of his weight on the toes; a smart move, as it allowed a greater spring to his step, and if done properly, reduced the area against which one had to press their weight, providing greater mobility.
The youth brought his arms up to shield his face, a classic stance. Noboru raised his own hands in front of him, palms facing towards the youth to increase grabbing and deflecting techniques, but not so far away that they couldn’t be flexed back towards the body to shield the chest and head. The two stared each other down. Time halted for a moment, as the world fell away from consciousness. There was only this moment. This encounter.
With a kick of dirt and sudden inspiration did Hiroki dash forwards; as if viewed in slow motion Noboru noticed the cascading of muscle contractions that only a lifetime of fighting allowed the naked eye to perceive. He moved towards the inside of Noboru, a peculiar choice in his attack front considering the previous contacts, yet soon to be revealed the feign towards the left and accompanied by a punch; relaxing his musculature, Nobo made with his hand to slap the punch downwards, which he succeeded… without contact. A trap, he thought. No sooner had he thought that, the youth before him switched his weight and twisted his body into a kick towards Nobo’s left leg, which he avoided by shifting his weight onto his right leg and pivoting out of the way once before hopping back. He chuckled.
“Very good, Hiroki!”, he commented on the performance. “Let’s kick it up a notch.”
He awaited the genin to get up before instructing him. “In physical fights, when you’re this up close to an opponent, you can take advantage of it to expel a field of chakra that will paralyse them. Depending on how strong your chakra is and how strong their bodies are, you may or may not paralyze them. However, I find that more often than not, it will stick to a target. Here, I’ll teach it to you.”
Noboru patiently went through the handseals, waiting to see if Hiroki was able to keep up, explaining how to navigate the chakra through the body and onto the skin to discharge the temporary paralysis technique.
