Winter is coming...[P, Training]

Miyamoto Terumi…
A young male shinobi, recently brought back into the fold for Hoshigakure and his longtime companion and rival Ayato Hyuuga. Dubbed a living weapon by the Kage and even demonstrated his abilities within the execution of various targets. A dark past that haunts the shinobi yet all records sealed away...whether by favor or by design the Terumi clan member was a free man and now given an almost serendipitous albeit surprising assignment; To once again publicly lead the shinobi team, Team Winter. It would really be funny if it was not for the fact that last time he led a team he ended with more blood on his hands that sparked turmoil and struggle that no person should have to endure.
The warmth of the morning sun, peeking in beyond the borders of Hoshigakure...beyond the Terumi compound, his home...beyond where he understood the afterlife would be waiting if he screwed up again like last time...when he once lead the premier shinobi team he once was apart of. Looking out of the window he remembered receiving the news by raven...which was a classic call back to when the two were a part of Team Winter and received missions. That bastard took him away from being solely kept in the shadows and designated him the new public leader. Under the assigned name of Yamato, Miyamoto scoffed at the memory and gave a slight chuckle. He had not even come close to making some sort of breakthrough with his acceptance and removal of his past, but the young man did somewhat move past it realizing that a blank slate was often the better outcome of his inconsolable amounts of bullshit.
“Very well Ayato...I will show that history will not repeat itself any longer.” Miyamoto remembered saying as he dressed and began to make the proper summons for his team as well as their individual profiles since becoming Genin. Up first was the rather aptly named member of the Canopic Clan...Typhon Sepsus. The Genin belonged to a clan that arose while Miyamoto was gone...or that may have been hidden away for some time. “A reclusive shinobi that specializes in taijutsu and is partial to the earth element. How quaint...He will make a good close-quarters fighter if cultivated right.” He sent Typhon a message to be delivered by the courier asking the shinobi to report to the listed area in the training area and that it would be the first time Team Winter would be meeting under the leadership of Yamato.
The next was a kunoichi, Hotaru Shinkou of clan Shinkou...an...interesting woman indeed with a clan backing that sits oh so near and dear to my outward disposition. “A bukijutsu that also might have a little bit of darkness while also wielding the element that brings light. That is a little cliche, to be honest, but nonetheless...will make a monster later on in life.” He made an identical scroll with the same summons before moving on to the next member of his little team.
“Finally...someone younger than me, and one with an element I do not currently use as well...wonderful...” Miyamoto lamented before looking over the profile of the next shinobi. A probable wildcard in terms of what was being brought to the table; A member from the Ametsuchi clan...a clan that is of legend within the world. It was interesting that the kid was formerly a missing ninja, but then again...this was the age Miyamoto also became one as well if he could remember correctly. Giving a soft sigh he would make yet another identical scroll to be delivered for the future meet and greet. “So far this team is all problem children...or disaster cases waiting to happen...what the actual fuck is wrong with this melting pot of a village? Now that I think about it though, that little incident at the training grounds when Ayato’s...brother made his appearance was...entertaining, to say the least.” The former always angry shinobi sipped a cup of water as he talked to himself. The memories of this little...knowledge gathering session were still fresh on his mind considering it was over four days ago.
Then the last profile...of course, it was a damned Uchiha, the damned cockroach of a clan that seemed to always find near-death experiences to be the most thrilling life-building exercises and apparently the most fertile of times too…”Toran Uchiha...another shinobi that is trained in the element of fire...and a genjutsu and ninjutsu practitioner. Good for him...I have met a few Uchiha before and happen to be a shinobi that uses fire as well. Overall another young one that seems more aloof than serious is rather refreshing…” He said before he leaned back and took a look at all four profiles once more before penning the final scroll and getting a courier to send off the summons.
Now as stated before Miyamoto stretched and washed before dressing in his typical shinobi gear. Looking like a man set out for a mission with the eyes of someone that had tasted battle and seen too much blood in his few years alive. Dressed black pants, tucked into combat boots, a shirt without sleeves, followed by the manipulation fabric, creating a dark vest akin to a flak jacket, but a bit more menacing...almost as if it was like clothed, firm armor. The young man looked into a mirror and took a few deep breaths. “Alright Yamato...time to see your new team. Hopefully, there would not be a need to open up a can of whoop ass on everyone that shows up, but for some reason I think no matter what...that is going to have to happen.” He said as he remembered that early morning training...That was almost cringe just thinking about how he was trying to prank Ayato...even if it would have been funny.
It did not take him long to arrive at the secluded area near a small stream. There were four dummies that sat and were ready for target practice and of course, each bore the name of the ninja that was going to use them; Morio, Typhon, Toran, and Hotaru. Miyamoto hid in a nearby tree and watched as the wind blew slightly, carrying with it the earthy scent of fig.
This was the way the new Team Winter was starting.

Re: Winter is coming...[P, Training]
Mon Nov 08, 2021 7:33 pm
An early morning for the young Ametsuchi heir as he sat atop the rooftop of the "Ametsuchi Dragon" his namesake and shop. He had spent most of the twilight hours working and training to hone his own skills outside of the shinobi system that existed within the Hoshi walls. Ever since his day out seeing all sorts of new things he wondered if he should actually push himself more in the shinobi arts and learn a few that would bolster his own prowess. He didn't want to be well known nor did he want recognition for his own deeds. He wanted to merely exist in the space that was his and not deal with anyone's problems. Problem with that was if he was going to live in this shinobi village then at some point he would need to conform to...it... a brief but needed laugh would escape the young heir's mouth as he wiped some of the sweat from his brow and looked behind him. The black wisps slowly formed into an eye that stared at him for a moment before looking out into the distance. The words oozed from nowhere but found themselves penetrating his mind," So you've decided to finally get out and train...Even though you want to leave this village for your true home. A commendable act though with no compass to guide you where will you go Master Morio?," to which he turned and looked at the floating wisp with mild interest. The voice had been in and out as time moved forward, maybe a week or two at most but what he never figured out was why. He had never heard of this...or rather he wouldn't boldly ask Vaenar this and Tsuna was too much of a newbie to the clan to even know what he was talking about. No maybe this was something only he experienced.
That was neither here nor there as he waved a hand to the eye and finally replied," For your information, Cassian, I have a plan for what I am going to do...its just executing it to my liking that is the issue. I also have to join one of those little kid groups, genin cells, as per the missive I received. Either way this might put my plan back a bit but I am going to going to Kumo for my answers," to which the floating black eye just chuckled and floated there. No words had been given but it was apparent it knew something more than what it was telling Morio. Whether or not this "Cassian" had an endgame was his current thought, but for now he would dismiss the floating eye. As the sun continued to rise he would remember that he had to meet at some spot for this team Winter meeting, so he would need to get ready now to make it. Dropping onto his balcony he would slide into his window and throw his work out clothes to the side and quickly wipe himself down. Once he had finished he began to get into his regular attire. A black overcoat sitting over a kimono and a pair of pants. His shinobi boots and his katana attached to his back would be the last thing as he grabbed his key and began to head out. Morio turned to see the floating eye there one moment and this it slowly wisped out of existence. He knew it was merely out of sight, never out of mind. Not bothering with it he would stuff his hands into his overcoat and walk in silence.
The only thing he personally heard was the soft clanking of his sword against his body as he passed through the streets. Many did not see him as a shinobi, just a swordsman turned blacksmith and that was what he wanted. He refused to wear his headband but it always sat in pristine condition behind his counter. It took him maybe ten minutes to get to the destination where he would look around. If he had been the first one here this was either the best case of on time or no one else would bother showing up to this. Shame. Looking at the dummies he would blink as he saw one with his name on it and thought to himself," A test ... I hate tests," the movement wouldn't be swift but he would soon perform a series of hand seals before quickly grabbing the hilt of his sword which would barely protrude over his shoulder. With a swift motion he would unsheathe the blade and it would erupt with a mix of purple, black and red as he slashed at the dummy from ten meters away and sheathed his blade. As the blade slowly clinked into the sheath the dummy would slide to the right and hit the ground. Now he waited for the rest and if nobody would show up he would begin to head back home.

It was early in the morning when Typhon heard a thud on his doorstep. Having only just woken up he would groggily shuffle to the front door and open it to see who or what could be bothering him so soon in the day. What he found was a small package and a bird already flying away. The mail system in this village was certainly odd, but at least carrier birds were efficient and didn't feel the need to start up small talk. Flicking open the letter he would see an unexpected summons. The young Canopic had been selected to become part of a team of genin.
"Team Winter huh? Pretty basic name" He'd mutter to himself as he read.
There was a time and place for the team's first rendezvous and it was soon. Ty frantically rushed around the house opening and closing drawers looking for the right things to wear. In the end he threw on black sweatpants, a green button down shirt, and his black hooded jacket. Not much different from his everyday attire but the shirt was a little dressier than usual. Stopping to look at the clock Ty realized he had even less time than he thought. The genin made a mad dash for his gas mask and gloves. He decided to simply toss his hood up over his wild hair. It would have to do.
He sprinted all the way from his house to the place they were supposed to meet and saw that there was already someone waiting. Ty kicked himself mentally for being late again and hurried to finally get there.
As he arrived he would take note that the other ninja was likely much younger than himself. He knew going in that this type of situation would be likely. Even the Hogokage was several years his junior. Unlike most he didn't have childhood hopes of becoming a shinobi and only enlisted because nobody would hire a perpetually ill person for any normal jobs.
There were training dummies set up for practice although one was already cut down. They each had names on them and Ty quickly noted his own name on a dummy. Was he supposed to do something with it? Did the other guy already break his just because? Were they being watched? He didn't know what to think.
If it really was some sort of test then he better think of something to do. He didn't have any kind of signature move or anything like that yet, but he could at least take a wooden training dummy.
The Canopic would perform 3 quick hand seals before sinking into the earth and tunneling his way underneath the doll with his name tag on it. Once he was in position Typhon would burst out from the ground with a swift uppercut which would knock the training dummy onto its back.
Afterwards Ty would laugh awkwardly and scratch his head, "Uhh...if this was a test I hope I passed."
While they waited for the others he would sit with his back against a tree and fiddle with his gloves.

There was an influx upon the manifestation of Hotaru’s presence. The very reformatory was wadded by a drab coercion that would call for the stream’s body to billow. Amber eyes would perch on two young men, Morio and Typhoon - four dummies, or perhaps six? Quite frustrating — was there not suppose to be eight? The Heiress would allow her eyes to gradually browse. Her days on the boarder coast doing protection for the village left her…not really cautious, but bored of these games of trials. No Sensei meant personality test.
Abaft of her were three crimson-cloaked figured with white and gold attire from head to toe. Ushers, of her mother’s assertion. They stood proudly behind her, as they looked on to what she was observing. Just several meters behind them was a noble transport that they were all boarded upon just moments ago. “My Lady, would you like for me to scout the layout for you?” A booming voice, yet gentle would ask her. The most broad of the three guards would stand with his posture correct. The Shinkou, clad in rare amour that can no longer be found on the face of this world — crafted from the remains of a black Wyvern into beautiful black armor. Upon her head was a crown to symbolize her Royal blood, two horns. Black breastplate with golden lining. Around the shoulder some sort of fur that gave her a warmth like no other. Leather and cloth around the arms where they hid chainmail. Her hands and feet were incased the same armor. This set had an ominous glean to it, one of dragon scales. To left she sports a single katana, nothing unique about it, but to her back she borne a blade that was taller than her, the original of its kind, a gift from her late father, Yasaki Uchiha. It was six foot, one inch tall Odachi, the width of the blade being the average of the blades length. It is to be carried on the back and used with two hands, but for those that are practitioners of weapons, it could be held with only one hand.
She would cut her eyes to him in an indifferent manner. His eyes met with her heavy, crushing gaze. It was at this moment that he remembered that she was the daughter of Alyssane Pendragon, Councilwoman of Hoshigakure. “Lough, you dare part your incompetent lips to utter such babble…to me, no less.” Her tone gave him chills, and he gulped. She would smirk and turn her gaze over to the two near the dummies. “You are all dismissed. Make this the last time that you accompany me anywhere, or it will be the last time you walk.” She began her stride towards the other potential members of her new team. The ushers would take their leave.
As she draw closer to the test she would notice her name on one of the dummies, this would cause a brow to rise. “Yes, I suppose four random duplicates out in the open would have flown over our heads, wise choice branding them with our names.” She remarked, sarcastically and loudly knowing very well that their teacher would be near, somewhere to hear her. She would then walk pass them, Morio and Typhoon, not so much as a glance in their direction. She would stop as she was a meter from the mannequin that was ‘her’s’. She would bring her hands together to weave five seals. With a stern expression she would face her palm towards the dummy that was for her power display.
“Very well…” From her hand she released a shadowy blast that was 10 meters in diameter that would bother render that very doll to splinters and ash, but also decay the very grass and wood that was around it. The very water of its path would part as its traveled a 10 meter line at its diameter. She would then lower her hand and turn to face the boys. “I know of you two, Typhoon and Morio. I am Hotaru, well met.” She spoke with a foreboding confidence.

Re: Winter is coming...[P, Training]

Toran was late, again. The black haired boy had woken up like any normal day, not knowing this would be the time in which he’d be assigned a team. His mother was already at work, leaving him behind to make his own breakfast like usual. His posture remained laxed as the only dish that he could make was a simple egg and bacon for breakfast. Downing the two protein filled yolks before defeating his dish by eating the bacon. While it wasn’t much for him, it was indeed filling for the morning. That’s when he heard a sudden bang at his door, wondering if it was a bird that had suddenly smashed into it. He opened the door slowly, finding a small note that read he had been supposedly summoned to the forests to join a new team of Genin.
His eyes widened for a moment, his hand clutching at the paper before realizing the state his clothing and himself were in at the moment. His onyx colored hair shot past him as he used his newly found body flicker technique to dash up to his room. His eyes darting to his drawers, his hands grasping at a pair of black pants, while also going to grab underwear, and a T-shirt for himself. The T-shirt was a simple dark blue color, giving him a more simple look when he also grabbed his gear, a simple bag of kunai and shuriken. Along with a pouch of smoke bombs that he knew could be useful.
“Dammit dammit! I’m gonna be late! And I don’t even know who my teammates are, I hope one of them is Ise!” His thoughts raced past him as he burst through the door. Locking it rather half haphazardly before dashing off to the location that was specified. He hoped that nothing bad would happen for him being late and also dead last with the team. They might think he’s a slacker for crying out loud! His father would be ashamed that he was being this late, especially since his father was a esteemed jonin of Hoshigakure! But that couldn’t matter for now when he finally arrived, only to spot at least one figure he remembered from the morning workout. His sandal covered feet landed without much effort, while he was panting slightly from running so much. His gaze went immediately towards the dummies, confused as to why they were there. But first he had to introduce himself to his teammates, starting with the one that was nearest to him. That being Hotaru Shinkou, he had to be respectful, which meant no blemishing or bringing up the past on his part.
“My apologies for being late! My name is Toran Uchiha, it’s a pleasure to be your acquaintance.”
It was aimed towards all of them, but he did bow towards each of them one by one, the kid seemingly wanting to show respect the best way he could. His eyes were downcast and annoyed at himself mostly. As he didn’t want to seem like some average chump compared to them all. He was the youngest as well, his smooth face finally looked back up to meet everyone else's gaze. Giving them all a sheepish smile as he scratched the back of his neck.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to be so abrasive at first, I didn’t want to come off as rude for being late. I hope we all can at least get along somewhat right?” A hopeful amount of excitement came within his voice at the end, his black eyes having this difference to them, they were almost a soft look to them compared to most of his clan. Perhaps it was a byproduct of where he grew up, or maybe he was nothing but an idiot after all.

Re: Winter is coming...[P, Training]

The first to arrive...that little upstart from the morning cardio program, Morio. He apparently hates tests and thought that this was one, so when he performed the hand seals and attacked with his dummy from 10 meters away Miyamoto chuckled to himself lightly as the wind blew through the area...the kid attacked the dummy from the length of a medium sized boat. “Oh well, I guess every squad has that show off…” He said as he remembered his own time on Team Winter. Shortly after, the messily dressed Typhon showed up. He too saw the dummy and decided to attack it, knocking it over in the process before saying aloud that he hoped he passed the test. “Timid and...a slacker? Interesting.” He quipped, and a few moments later attacked the doll with an explosion that would actually be in danger of hitting both of the other two…”There is the overpowered one...that does not seem to care for the wellbeing of those around her...typical...guess that leaves the Uchiha.” He said to himself as he waited...then waited some more...it took nearly another fifteen minutes before the Uchiha clan member arrived and just introduced himself rather than attacking the dummy like the others.
He jumped from the tree branch he was looking on, suppressing his chakra the entire time before walking forward calmly, he looked like some random adversary for the team of misfits to fight to improve teamwork in all honesty. He stopped behind Toran and finally spoke in a tone that was neutral and did not show he was disappointed or even amused with their individual endeavors. “Looks like the team is all here then...great. Well good news Toran...you only failed because you were late. The rest of you failed because of a simple matter...you attacked dummies with your names on them without ever waiting for any explanation or well...anything really.” He said before going to Typhon’s dummy, walking casually before picking it back up and setting it up. “These were here to see if you all attacked first or if you simply waited for the others to arrive. Being a shinobi is about more than just killing...you all struck out before knowing if these were targets or if they were V.I.P.’s” He pulled out a kunai and cut the fabric of the head of the dummy, revealing a bento box before opening it, the scent of freshly baked and prepared food was wafting through the air and it was enticing to say the least. “The Silky chopstick makes the best lunch in Hoshigakure. I was hoping to have a simple talk with everyone and to see what your goals were.” He took a small jam filled rice ball and popped it into his mouth and ate in front of them for a moment as he let them mull over everything.
“For failing the test...your punishment is to now make me a bento box.” He held up four scrolls and placed the lid on the bento box before looking at the four of them. “Each scroll has what I want you lot to prepare and where to find the ingredients...you cannot buy the items...you must harvest them yourselves...including the meat and the right vegetables. Some of these things are guarded because well...I like to take from our dear Kage, a running joke as it were...If you are caught, hand over the scroll and return home. If you cannot follow directions and move with discretion I do not have use for you all, I am not looking to soak my hands in the blood of the unprepared.” He said to them and waited for them to take their scrolls and to get on with the task. “I will be waiting until sundown. I hope you all are quick, and not as abrasive as I think you are.” He finished and opened the lid once more to eat.
Scroll 1: Meat Dish: Must make the pork belly and fried tuna, caught in the Hyuuga clan farms...inside the Hyuuga Clan compound. Be wary of the white-eyed folk...they see everything.
Scroll 2: Vegetable Dish: Must find fresh onions, carrots, and mushrooms near the Dragon’s Ravine, these are highly sought after by shinobi and creatures alike so they are in short supply and you may be attacked. THe mushrooms are often poisonous if not prepared correctly and can cause rather...insidious side effects. The carrots are raised on a simple open field near the Wildlife reserve and are kept up by a single farmer who uses genjutsu to watch over his field...be cautious of him.
Scroll 3: Rice bowl: Must find a way to sneak a bag of rice from the Kage’s reserve and prepare either steamed rice or even rice balls. Do not get caught by the palace guards...they are pretty uptight.
Scroll 4: Desert: I am feeling like a strawberry tart from the coffee shop located near the far gate. You must take it without being seen...the baker hates young people so do not let him see you enter or leave.

Re: Winter is coming...[P, Training]

As he was about to walk off, he caught sight of one other coming into the area and for a moment he was kind of pleased he wasn't wasting his time with this. Morio would have been a little furious if he had honestly came out here for nothing. The other shinobi proved to follow the same train of thought as Morio did and attacked the dummy with his name on it as well. The third to arrive was someone Morio had met prior to today, one Hotaru. Unlike most however he firmly remembers a few idiots fighting over here which never truly made sense for anyone to fight over ones hand but to each their own. Giving a small nod he would acknowledge Hotaru and respond," I remember you from the water gardens. Quite the popular woman if you had two idiots vying for you attention and hand but it seems you weren't interested in either. Can't blame you honestly," the display that she had chose was enough to warrant a nod from him, but other than that he waited to see what would happen next. A fourth and final entry would arrive, albeit late but that was not his business. Morio didn't feel the need to reprimand him, but being late to the first meeting was definitely something. Now that the gang had been here, Morio was about to be the first to speak up until another voice filled the area. So this was their mentor, another he had met in the Water Gardens. Their interaction had been interesting to say the least but to see that he would be their sensei was...odd. Quietly he would listen to the explanation of why they failed and soon after their punishment. A rather abrasive scoff came from the lips of the Ametsuchi heir as he looked at Miyamoto and shook his head," I get this was a test and all but there is something you might be missing here. In an actual combat situation, a VIP isn't going to be sitting here, moreso in a compromised area like this. They'd wait in an area that has good covering and provides an option to see all exits and entrances," his arms would cross as he looked at the scroll and honestly he wasn't feeling it.
Turning on his heels he would slowly begin to walk away as he spoke," I didn't come out here to make you food or play test. I came out here to see what an actual shinobi team would look like and honestly? I'd be better off staying in my forge and training myself. So you might as well drop me here and now. You all have fun," he'd begin his stride away from the area, if anyone had said anything to him he'd of course stop because he was not rude but this didn't sit right with him and wasn't a good use of his time. He came to be a Shinobi...not an ingredient fetcher of all things.

When he waited for them to take the scrolls he felt that tinge of anger, Morio...the impulsive kid said that he was there to see what a team was all about, not to playtest or to fetch ingredients. Yamato laughed loudly, placing a lid on the Bento, and then he placed the scrolls on the box before handing it to Toran. If someone was so opposed...then why even bother being a shinobi...it was a waste of not only their own time but his as well. As for the test...if he wished to put them through actual combat practice...he would have sent these turds on a mission to get themselves polished. With a soft sigh, Yamato wiped a tear from his eye before speaking. “So...you think this is beneath you...really? I assume you all think the same thing as well? In actual combat situations, it depends on what you are sent to do, who is your target, who are you defending, or if you are just a last resort. I watched you all arrive, and you did not even move to inspect the damn dummy...you just swung when you saw the dummy. If you want to be a damn child then I guess I have to teach you as such.” He looked at the others and would not waste any time before casually making the hand seals at his max speed: Snake - Dragon - Dog - Ram - Horse - Boar. He cast his Boil Release: Knack of Hard Work, as a vapor-like armor formed over his body, and then with a casual flick of his right hand a 2.5-meter radius bullet of boil chakra shot at a speed of 65 at the tree right next to Morio.
“I never permitted you, or ANY of you to leave. I told you all that you fucking FAILED your first little “test” and I do not CARE if you are not here to be tested. You are here to get stronger, and attempting to dismiss yourself before you are dismissed is one of the sorriest fucking sights I have ever witnessed. Now come pick up your scroll and take your punishment like the able-bodied young shinobi you are. Or draw your blade to prove to me that you are nothing more than a coward that walks away when things are not going their way…” His eyes then shifted to the others. “The same goes for the rest of you. If you do this task it proves to me three things...A. You can follow orders, B. You are capable of evasion and subterfuge, and finally C. That you are worthy for me to take my time to teach you all.” He waited for a moment. “So what will you do?” He said, standing there and his aura was nearly visible now as he showed that he was ready should they all try to take him on at one time.

Toran turned his attention towards the newest person to join them during this time. He remembered seeing the man near where he was training during the morning exercises. He looked rather cold compared to his more relaxed appearance now. Toran didn’t really know what to say or do, he was indeed late, and knowing that this person was likely their leader. Toran would have bowed had it not been for the fact that nobody really seemed to care that he was indeed there in the first place. As such the Uchiha began to listen to the instructions given to them.
“A simple delivery? Well if that’s what ya asking for, can’t be that bad!” He said with a small relaxed smile. The instructions seemed clear enough, he had wanted to take the forth scroll and deal with the bakery shop. He could use his newly found shadow clones to perform the transformation jutsu. Even though it was indeed an E-rank ninjutsu, many others thought of it as something much more. It was like one of those board games those kids he’d walk by keep on saying. The phrase “easy to learn, hard to master,” was rather simple to follow. Toran wanted to master this ability since it’d help with infiltration.
The Uchiha thought that this couldn’t have been such a bad mission, even if it was their first, the group was made primarily of Genin. But it still felt like simple chores their leader could do in his spare time. Toran’s eyes flickered for a moment, causing the Uchiha to rub them slightly in order to get used to the Sharingan he was using a lot more now. Even for simple things like playing with a ball to practicing how to cast another lightning release technique. His father hadn’t really said much about it, simply giving the young boy a pat on the head when he rushed home to greet his own father.
Morio and Hotaru’s interaction before seeing their leader was rather brief, if also saving him potentially from a scolding from the bitchy mistress. His eyes rolled at her attitude towards most things including having guards around when it seemed she just wanted to yell at them for doing their job. Isn’t that why you pay them anyways? To protect you in case you can’t in those situations. Toran’s head couldn’t wrap around that foreign concept at the moment. Believing it to just be something rich people or heir’s liked doing. But his expression took a worried look when Morio opened his mouth to speak against their leader's wishes.
Toran felt…. Well rather mad that the boy would just turn on his heels and leave like that, did he not understand this was a simple exercise? Toran couldn’t really handle that kind of disrespect from someone, but Miyamoto beat him to the punch while also giving him the bento box to hold, making the boy kinda annoyed he was basically used as a table for others to hold shit. Carefully placing the box of bento along with the dummy. Toran turned towards their sensei when he said about them thinking they were better than this. He was a bit confused, since they weren’t given any information on who or what the dummy was, he heard that at least you’d have to get a description of what you were defending. It could also be he didn’t read the whole letter through, making the Uchiha’s small hand slap against his head, grasping a few of the ebony hairs he wanted to burst into screams.
The boil release technique nearly had Toran fall flat on his face for a moment at the sudden shock. His Sharingan spinning to life inside of his iris, his only movement now was to try and stop the fight before it could even happen. Not attacking anyone, but trying to use his words before a fight happened.
“I know most of us here are probably ready to take on a mission, but think about it for a moment, this guy sends us out to distinct locations, each with different parameters for infiltration, and if that seems obvious, then why would he even give us it!? No one here can fight him anyways but dammit I can’t watch two people fighting! Let’s just do this and get it over with!”
His sharingan was spinning still, he was almost ready to cast a genjutsu on someone, but knew he probably wouldn’t work as the chakra pooled to his eyes, making the crimson red of the sharingan be seen towards his other teammates. He didn’t like where things were heading, but everything was going terribly wrong on their first day. Their teacher was very quick to anger, and his other teammates were either hot headed or he didn’t even know yet. Toran’s blood was pumping around him as he was panting to try and speak out another word with the hot steam surrounding them. He was prepared to fight now, but his first real fight was against someone he knew he couldn’t win. His body relaxed after a moment, in thought as he didn’t know what the hell he was doing, even talking back was something that was gonna get him killed, but he just didn’t want to see others being put down, but their sensei was right in most areas.

Re: Winter is coming...[P, Training]
Wed Nov 17, 2021 3:10 pm
Ty watched as another ninja came to the spot, this one looked older than him. A nice change of pace he thought just moments before the woman blasted her training dummy to bits with some kind of dark energy.
Eyebrows raised Typhon would whistle and say, "Now that sure was something you don't see every day."
He wondered if some day he would be able to do some crazy flashy things like that, but you gotta learn to walk before you can run. He'd get stronger at his own pace. There was no need to rush into a pointless death.
A while passed with not very much said. The young Canopic was beginning to feel a bit tense when finally the fourth member of their team arrived. This one seemed a little more timid than the brooding boy with a sword. A little more approachable at the very least. He chose to stand by his dummy and introduce himself as Toran Uchiha. Seeing how late this guy was made Ty feel better about when he arrived.
As he would go to introduce himself as well another person would make themself known. They looked kind of shady but spoke with confidence and authority. This must be the squad leader. Most likely the group was being watched the whole time. Just at a glance Ty could tell that this person wasn't just some kid. The way he snuck up unnoticed and the thoroughness of his dummy test showed a level of skill and wit.
Though he felt bad about succumbing to peer pressure and failing the test, the chance for redemption sounded good to him. Though apparently not to someone. The first person to arrive, snapped at the thought of running errands. Ty found this pretty surprising all things considered. The tasks seemed fairly open ended and challenging in their own right. Not all that different from the missions genin usually get sent on.
This sudden defiance apparently did not sit well with the group's new instructor and he started to fly off the handle. Yelling about thinking we were better than his tests. It appeared as if this guys tolerance for bullshit was quite low and Typhon made a mental note not to push his buttons. He was snapped back into the moment however, when their instructor suddenly performed some Handseals and donned a set of armor made from some kind of mist. In an instant he shattered a tree with a bullet of water and boomed out a challenge to the genin.
Typhon had every intention of just grabbing a scroll and getting on with the "punishment" mission. He wasn't some whining child who would get worked up over what was essentially getting yelled at by his boss. As he stepped forward he would look around and see the others prepping themselves to fight an obvious losing battle. They had some nerve he could at least give them that. It was something that he was lacking himself. Why run in and get his ass kicked when he could just follow orders?
Following what the others did before got him into this mess. He wasn't about to make the same mistake twice. Without a word he would walk over and pick up a scroll and stick it in his pocket. Spinning on his heel Typhon would start to walk off to where he needed to go.
