Standing at a height of 5'6", the twenty-two-year-old Kazuko Taika carries herself with the confidence of one much larger than her slight frame. Due to her more administrative position, the brown-haired genin takes special care to maintain a professional facade often opting to wear clothing that is more ornamental than practical in the day-to-day life of a shinobi. Indeed, at times, the only indication of her kunoichi status is the headband of her village that she always wears proudly about her neck. That said, she hopes that one day she'll be able to wear the full regalia of a shinobi as one higher than her current lot in life—when no one is looking, she can often be found playing around with a spare kunai and fantasizing about a life of adventure.

Personality:

Idealistic and kind to a fault, Kazuko is a reflection of her sheltered upbringing under the watchful eyes of her two loving parents. Where many would see darkness in the world, she sees hope and the opportunity for positive change, for not just Tanbogakure but those beyond its diminutive borders as well. However, she is not so naive to think that change happens overnight and has, for the time being, turned her seemingly endless supply of energy towards helping build a new future for her home country, even if she does resent the idea of being only an aide.

Administrative Aide

Tasked with helping make the village run a bit smoother, an aide is attached to a certain character with an in-character rank of Jounin+ and is allowed to move between threads with them or into threads at said character's behest, much like the bodyguard role. This freedom of movement is, however, limited to the character's host country and its sub-forums—they may not leave the borders of their home country.

Depending on the rank of an aide, they provide discounts to a village's construction projects thanks to the organizational support they lend to these types of endeavors:

D-rank - 2000 ryo discount
C-rank - 3000 ryo discount
B-rank - 4000 ryo discount
A-rank - 5000 ryo discount

Note: construction projects count as any infrastructure upgrade to a village, such as village expansion, repair, or upgrades. Said projects cannot be reduced by more than 50% of their initial cost through the application of administrative aide discounts.

NPC's Story:

A native to Rice Country, Kazuko is the daughter of the village's most successful entrepreneurs, Kaien and Nazumi Taika. She grew up helping her parents run the family business, Taika’s Tea and Bathhouse, serving many roles from waitress to bath attendant but excelled most at bookkeeping. Here she built out a reputation as an organized young woman destined for success, much like her parents before her. The rest of her life was already clear; it would be smooth sailing, and she hated every minute of it.

One who dreamed of adventure, she spent her off time learning the shinobi arts from Granny Kei despite her parents' objections or, perhaps, because of them. In fact, she found herself to be quite the natural in all things chakra control thanks to the bloodline her parents had long ago discarded. The idea that one day she would be able to break free from the responsibilities imposed on her kept the woman going through her highest highs and lowest lows.

When Tanbogakure was officially founded, Kazuko was the first to sign up to join the fledgling military; this would be her chance. Unfortunately, her parents foresaw this, and through a couple of "financial incentives" to certain individuals ensured their daughter would be stuck behind a desk for what they hoped would be a short career as a kunoichi. They did not, however, foresee the newly minted genin's stubbornness, and she resolved to do her best no matter her position—if nothing else this path would be her own.
