Starting From Zero {Aroma's Return}

There was no way for her to know how many days had past. Not at this very moment.

Her eyelashes fluttered weakly as they opened to the dark unknown room, in which she was being kept in. Completely unaware that the lass had been asleep for months of a time. By now the blossoms outside had died away as the weather changed for the harsh climate of winter. It was a surprise that they haven't discarded her already, but the hospital and it's workers never gave up on the thought that one day the coma would break.

And so it did

Her name was Aroma, that she still knew. What she didn't know was how she ended up in this unfamiliar room. Her failure within the walls of the Arena had been forgotten. But that didn't mean the loss didn't exist. Aroma was just unaware of it at this moment. Unaware that she had lost her chance to prove herself and handled the defeat poorly. Her opponent excuted his move and shattered her knee, sending her to the hospital to be mended. But the loss was too much for the Vipris, sending her into a very heavy coma.

Aroma had much to learn, and much to regain in her abilities. Being asleep for so long weakened her body greatly, and the defeat had obviously weakened her mind. It was as if the kunoichi would be starting over, starting from zero. She would have to begin again with her ninja path, that is after Aroma discovers what it even is. When she finally discovers who she is now, the Viperis will learn that another failure wouldn't be an option.

Aroma's eyes gazed upon the room, her fingers brushed along the smooth surface of the quilt that kept her warm. Most would probably be overwhelmed with confusion, but at the moment all she could do was wonder. Should she get up? What was she to do then? The window near the bed made it clear that it was still late, as the stars glistened from the other side of it.

Aroma finally sat up within the bed. Laying on the side stand to her right was a slip of dark cloth. For what it was for, she was uncertain. Not remembering that she had once used to to conceal her terrifying eyes. Aroma's eyes shifted to the window. She leaned from the bed to rest her shoulder beside the glass pane, easing herself closer to look out at the night. The tranquility of the hoving moon that rested in the open blanket of darkness was all she needed at this moment.  {TWC: 439}
