Closer to Clan

Sayaka had been traveling for a little while now, slowly heading towards the Hidden Sand Village so that she could hang out and train. She had heard many times about the Sand Village being a bit more welcoming to missing ninja than the other villages, and although she was confident in beating people up who went after her, she really did not want the hassle at the moment. As she was heading there, she noticed that the desert was insanely annoying, and really did not like the sand that was everywhere and the god awful heat. She could deal with the cold of the evenings and night time far better than the heat, and so she had been traveling at night and in the evenings for the most part, and soon came across another of the landmarks on her way to the Sand Village. There was a small town that was prospering around an oasis, and that was where she currently was at the moment. She was on a sand dune that overlooked the town, and soon she saw that it was fairly prosperous as far as small towns went. She slid down the dune and at this point the moon was high in the sky, and so when she got closer to the city, a couple of guards that were standing out in front of the walls of the place hailed aher and told her to stop.

She had no qualms about any of this, as she respected authority, although she would actively try and take over a place or make sure that the authority of the area knew that she was supposed to be a VIP. Regardless, she walked up and talked to the guards, telling them that that she was just here to make sure that she had enough food to eat and a place to sleep. She really did not like roughing it out in the desert. After checking a few things and making sure that she was not dangerous, which was hard to tell, they simply told her to not start any trouble in the town and then told her what sort of inn was still open at this time. She headed straight there, and when she walked in, there were a couple of patrons there on the first floor, which was also a pub. She had no real desire to get drunk right now, so she simply walked over to the woman that was operating the pub and asked her if there was a room available. This prompted one of the drunk patrons of the bar to look at her and suggest that she could definitely share his bed. If it was one thing that Sayaka hated, it was being hit on, and so she had a slightly more devious grin on her face than normal as she walked over there.

Sayaka walked over with a grin on her face, which made the guy that hit on her even more sure that what he had said got the attention of some more promiscuous woman, and his friends started egging him on. Compared to these normal people, Sayaka was extremely strong, and so after taking a good look at the guys, and some of the guys jeering on the man about how he was going to get lucky again, Sayaka simply ignored the men before walking back to the bar. The guys started asking where she was going and if she was deaf, but Sayaka simply put down a stack of ryo onto the counter in front of the woman. When the woman shot a questioning look to Sayaka about the money, Sayake simply responded that it was for the damages. Even more confused, the woman saw Sayaka nearly teleport to the side of the man, as she was much faster than normal peoples’ visions would allow them to track, and suddenly grabbed the man’s head. After grabbing the man by the back of the head, she maintained her grin as she slammed it through the wooden table, smashing the table away from the three other men and leaving the first one unconscious.

The other three men stood up and started calling her a bitch, getting out small knives and rushing towards her. Sayaka’s grin widened as she dodged through the drunken idiots with ease, repositioning herself so that she would not damage too many other things as she dismantled these people. Joint locks, holds, and strikes to vulnerable parts of the body rained down on them, but Sayaka made sure not to kill them, simply beat them up so that they would remember her and not mess with other women that potentially came in. After beating them all up and making them beg her to stop, her ego was satiated, and the woman in front of the bar was still contemplating whether or not to call the guards. She decided against it, seeing how fast and strong Sayaka was, as she figured that the woman in front of her was most likely a shinobi, and if that was the case, she could simply wipe the town off the map and leave if she wanted. The woman arranged a room for her to stay in and gave her the key, before Sayaka headed up into the room for the night. After she got into the room, she immediately just sat down on the bed and reveled at how she was able to sleep somewhere that was not covered in dirt for once in a long while.

After falling asleep in the room, it seemed that word had gotten out that a young woman came and beat the hell out of four large men in the pub, and so she was not disturbed in the least bit, especially when the guards heard about it being started by the men from the person that ran the pub. After she woke up, she stretched and headed down the stairs to the first floor of the pub so that she could get some breakfast. After having a breakfast consisting of sausage, eggs, and some hash browns, she was ready to continue on her journey. However, as she was eating breakfast, she had overheard some people talking about one of the sand dunes in the area shifting, revealing the entrance to an old building, and apparently the building had the clan symbol for the Uchuha etched onto one of the walls, but an unknown symbol on the front of the building. It was strange that the Uchiha symbol would be the one that was etched on the wall of the place but not on the actual front of the building, especially because what Sayaka knew about her clan was that they were pretty arrogant. She knows because she got that from her own mother who was from the clan, and she always grew up with the knowledge that their clan was far more powerful than most others, so they had the right to be a bit more conceited and arrogant.

This piqued her interest, and so she walked over and asked the people who were talking about it to fill her in on where it was, and soon she was heading out towards a particular sand dune. The complex she was heading towards was still sort of on the way to the Sand Village, so she was not going to lose too much time to traveling if she made this detour, so she was a bit excited to search these ruins. The ruins could have anything in them, even knowledge about some of the forbidden techniques of the clan maybe, at least that was what she wanted to have in there. As she was traveling swiftly through the desert and sliding over the sand when she could to save some energy, she noticed some people riding camels with packs attached heading towards the same place as he. It seemed that they were also going to explore it and try to loot the building of any valuables, treating it like some sort of treasure trove. Sayaka was faster than them, and so she rushed through the desert to get there before the caravans did. Because of how fast she was, she would have plenty of time to explore before the caravans did. She got to the front of the sand dune, and behind it one could see the face of the temple, and there was a strange symbol that looked sort of like a ripple in water on the front of the temple. Glancing at the sides of the large door in the front, the Uchiha clan symbol was there, although it was a bit archaic, really noting that this area was from a long lost time.

Sayaka immediately headed in, and looking at the large gate was not as intimidating as it would be for people who did not train their body like a lot of shinobi did. A little push was all it took for the door to start swinging open, a large creaking and sliding sound coming out of it as it scraped along the floor and the hinges that seemed to be ancient and rusted were strained. As the door was finally open wide enough for Sayaka to comfortably walk into, she headed in. Soon she found herself in a central chamber partially filled with sand. It seemed that the sand shifted enough to where the front of the temple was emptied of most of the sand, but the back rooms were still buried under tons of sand and dirt. It seemed like those chambers were off limits, and when Sayaka looked, she saw the clan symbols of other clans, although she did not recognize some of them right off the bat, she at least recognized Senju and Kaguya. This made her even more intrigued, as she wondered what sort of building could have multiple clan areas in there, especially when the clans had yet to really work together for a long while.

Sayaka saw that the Uchiha and Senju rooms were the ones that were not buried, so she simply headed towards the Uchiha room. Upon walking to the front of the chamber, she came to a large door that seemed to have some sort of depiction of a scene. The scene was the sharingan that acted as a sun, shining over a group of people that were worshiping it. Sayaka did not care about any of this and simply pushed the door open to reveal a room. The room was something of an alchemy room, filled with a bunch of tools and beakers, and it seemed that the room was somehow air tight, as the sand had blown in when she opened the door. After looking around, she had found some sort of book along with the lab equipment in there,a nd the book described some sort of liquid that would help an Uchiha unlock latent abilities within themselves, but they would have to give up their ability to be compatible with other genetics. A liquid that made one’s bloodline stronger but barred them from other bloodlines, eh? She pondered for a moment before looking around, finding a vial of whatever this liquid was, and she drank it. She was adventurous and did not care about the potential risks as long as she got stronger, so she drank it and almost immediately started hallucinating.

The hallucination was not something bad or unpleasant, in fact it felt pretty good and made Sayaka’s legs a bit wobbly as she looked around. The depictions of the sharingan and the Uchiha were all over the walls, and Sayaka saw that the figures were moving around, the Sharingan’s tomoe spinning, and the room spinning along with it. The liquid made her feel like she was strong, and also felt that the connection between her and her ancestors were growing stronger as she wandered around the room. Sayaka was definitely tripping, but there was nothing that was inhibiting her basic functions and her wits, so she still had the idea to walk over and close the door to the chamber that she was in. As she did so, the room obviously became dark, which caused her hallucination to increase a bit. The sharingan that were depicted on the walls of the chamber seemed to start glowing in their red colored hue. The room seemed to essentially be completely red as she felt that her power was increasing. After a while of this hallucination, it started to wane, allowing her to become more and more sober until she was finally out of the effects of the drug that she took.

She felt great, and noticed that people were moving the door to the chamber she was in. It seemed that while she was sitting there hallucinating, the people in the caravan had caught up and had been inspecting the rooms and chambers of the temple. She was essentially done here, as the information that was stored here was not that valuable, although she did take the book that dictated what Uchiha should do to strengthen their bloodline. As she did so, the door was finally open, and she put on her normal cocky grin while looking at the people that opened the door. The people were a bit surprised to see that someone else was in there before them, but soon they seemed to be slightly hostile. The people that treasure hunted were the types of people that thought that everything they set foot in belonged to them, but Sayaka was not just some push over. She simply started walking, and the menacing look that she gave the people as she walked by them gave them some pause, as she was leaving. She got what she wanted out of the temple, and so she felt like she was done there, heading towards the Sand Village once again.

She simply left the people in the caravan to whatever they were doing, and they seemed happy that they did not have to compete with anyone else, and walking into the Uchiha chamber, the people in the caravan saw that basically nothing was really touched, and so they were relieved and started to pack things up. Sayaka did not really care about this anymore and started heading out of the area towards the Sand village once again. As she made her way over the sand, the day started to turn to the afternoon as the sun started to fall. This allowed Sayaka to start running faster as it was not so hot. After a while she could not even see the oasis town or the temple sand dune anymore, and she knew that she was close to the Sand village. She preferred traveling at night, but this time the hallucinogen that she had taken in the temple had done a number on her, and so she felt quite tired when the sun started to set, and decided to set up camp wherever she was and drift off to sleep, determined to head out early the next day.
