[Open]A Training Session in Bright Sunlight[Open]
Thu Jan 12, 2023 8:22 pm
The training grounds has been quiet today, perhaps she arrived early, the sun would agree. Looking towards it it had barely rose into the sky, a summer orange mounting the lower section of the sky just below. Though in truth, what was the kunoichi even doing here, she couldn't practice medical ninjutsu in a place like this, there simply wasn't the objects or items necessary, no what she could practice, was a technique based in her blood line, something complicated, even fore her predecessor's the chakra chain technique. Sitting in the middle of the field she calmly placed her hands together, the technique's hand seals were even more complicated then technique itself, perhaps that's why she struggled so much with it.
A soft chakra like essence emanated from her core as she began to weave the signs, of the jutsu, the many animal signs that exist, they all were involved in this jutsu, before clasping her hands together. Though once she finished she found that nothing would happen, softly she breathed in and began looking at her hands, maybe she did the seals wrong, perhaps she just wasn't ready for such a Jutsu. As she pondered the thought she'd begin to do those signs again. Only too stop half way, gaining a somewhat dulled look, what even was the point in doing this, she was clearly not ready.
The chakra emanating inside her softly sunk away as she decided to take a break, if she was to learn how to make this work she'd need to take far more time then she already has. Sitting up she decided to practice something else, for now she could practice throwing multiple shuriken at once. As she stood up dusting the dirt from her shirts and fluffing her hoodie to remove the dirt she reached into the small bag she had set next to her, inside was merely a few training shuriken from the fields storage, she wouldn't be keeping them unfortunately, walking off towards those tall logs, a simple spiral target placed on them she simply held two of them in between the index middle and ring finger of her right hand. Readying her aim her arm pulled back a soft breath escaping her mouth as she envisioned the trajectory, but that vision was only part of the process, now she needed to make that vision reality, her arm whipped around, in a unnatural way, much like a trebuchet, the shuriken ripping through the air both embedding into the log though not in the center, but within the 4th and 5th ring's respectively, scoffing and pulling a kunai from the bag she held it in a reverse grip throwing it it in a upwards motion as it flew across the field nailing into the 3rd ring of the target. With a annoyed look she scoffed, well that would at the very least be a decent amount of points all things considered, like 10 at the least if it was one of those competitions on who could do the best throwing though she'd still fail, people can nail bullseyes multiple times perfectly with little effort in those.

Izuna was making his way back to the training fields. He had made a habit of going to the training fields in the mornings. He felt energetic in the mornings and made use of his time striving to get better, after all his Genin test was just around the corner and Izuna would tear his eyes out before retaking a year. God damned boring ass classes, why couldn’t there be more survival exercises?
He thought about what techniques he could practice while he was here, he knew the clone and transformation techniques by heart at this point. So maybe one of the other utility techniques shinobi were expected to pick up on early? Maybe he could practice breaking Genjutsu, though he would need someone to practice with… Or more excitingly, he could practice casting genjutsu himself. But that circled back to the problem of no one to train with.
He settled on reinforcing his confidence in the most important techniques he knew, mainly the ones he needed to pass the genin exam. The clone technique was the one he was more proficient at so he started with that. A ram hand sign and a replica of himself appeared across from him. He seamlessly switched to practicing the transformation technique after dispelling the clone. One dog hand sign later and he felt himself shift, his new appearance being that of his mother. Satisfied with his proficiency he dispelled the transformation and switched to practicing a jutsu he didn’t know but wanted to learn.
He had seen the body flicker used plenty, and he knew that it required a ram hand sign and a destination in mind. He focused on a spot in the distance, made the sign and…
Pain… He had rolled several meters after wiping out in the middle of the flicker, rolled legs over head that is.. He was used to this outcome however. It was the price that ambitious youngsters had to pay for any kind of advancement before graduation. He made the hand sign again, this time he almost thought he did it correctly, he moved the exact distance he wanted to, only he landed upside down on his head.
“Must have channeled chakra the wrong way at some point, maybe if I switched the direction it flows in when I do this.” He mumbled to himself. He didn’t really understand how the jutsu worked, but he was quickly figuring it out.
One more ram sign and he was moving through the air and breakneck speeds once again. To the young Uzamaki girl it would seem like a normal Body flicker up to her, until the battered and bruised blonde boy was seemingly thrown out of the seamless technique and rolled several meters across the training field before coming to a stop on his belly, limbs splayed out, and in a metric crap ton of pain. Maybe enough practice for today, this red headed girl might be willing to practice some Genjutsu techniques or something, frankly anything was better than this eternal cycle of failure Izuna was putting himself through.
He dragged himself to his feet and faced the unknown girl. She had been practicing shuriken? He hadn’t bothered doing that in a while. He swallowed the anxiety he felt whenever he met new people and decided to ask her to do some genjutsu training. What's the worst that could happen?
“Hey, don't think I know you. I'm Izuna.” He offered his hand in a handshake. “Don’t think i can take much more of this body flicker practice heh.” He looked himself over, accessing the damage he had sustained so far.
“Don’t suppose you want to do some Genjutsu practice? I don’t really have a partner.”

The Uzumaki in all honesty wasn't paying all that much attention, she was more so focused in what was currently being done, taking two shuriken in her hands now, she threw one, upwards at a angle, her other hand reaching back before the sun caught her eyes, throwing it at the shuriken now orbiting down wards, when the two collided a soft metal and metal sound was made as the second shuriken came flying back down, its direction being altered by the first one thrown, though usually its meant to be the second one doing the altering. She wasn't entirely sure what this technique was even called, she had just seen others doing it around the field occasionally, perhaps some day she should ask about it.
Though she knew that this training in it of itself was aimless, in truth she didn't even wanna be doing any of this, she'd much rather be at the hospital training to become a better Medical Kunoichi. But the hospital wasn't even really "open" this time of day, much less is it offering a program to practice, at least not to Genin, she'd have to become a Chuunin before she'd get recognized, but she hadn't even been assigned a genin team yet, so for now her days were simply just idle training until the cogs clicked into place. As her thoughts slowly passed the shuriken she through fell from the sky landing nearly directly on her, landing merely a foot in front of her, it caused her to back up in a rush tripping over, or more likely barreling over someone she had as of yet not noticed.
Falling backwards over Izuna who literally flash stepped behind her just as she recoiled from the shuriken she rather quickly fell over him rolling a bit past before getting up rather quickly a somewhat panicked look on her face as she now observed the child who was sprawled out as if he slammed into a wall at mach 2, was he ok? was he trying to hurt her? she wasn't entirely sure, her bag with training weapons was now just passed the person so she couldn't exactly hold a Kunai in defense or anything. Though as he got up she did what she could to prepare for anything. Though when the kid had gotten up he offered his hand and his name, that was a total shock to the system. She even had to do a double take, and process it for a good 3 seconds before she finally responded. "Uh... ahuh..." Before simply taking the hand, her voice was soft, perhaps a bit too soft for her appearance, she didn't entirely know how to react to this situation.
Finally he asked if she'd help him practice Genjutsu, which she couldn't exactly say anything about, she didn't exactly have any Genjutsu, or know how to break Genjutsu, so if she did help him she'd be getting Genjutsu's repeatedly and she's heard already of the horrid types of Genjutsu that exist. "I'm not... really sure that's a good idea..." She'd say in all forms being honest, she wasn't entirely aware what the kid could do in Genjutsu but she knew most of the Genjutsu techniques could scare even a seasoned shinobi stiff, it's why Genjutsu specialists were so feared, it might not be real, but it sure as hell feels real.

The girl that had tripped over him seemed shy or something. Izuna didn’t know what could possibly have made her hesitant to interact with him. She didn’t even give him her name, and her response to his request was a bit strange?
He had noticed the headband around her waist and knew she was a shinobi, so shouldn’t she be willing to practice with him? Did she not have time? Then he realized it! She knew so many cool Genjutsu but she underestimated his mental toughness because he was still in the academy. She was afraid to use them on him! That made the most sense to him. He decided to dispel such belittling perceptions. He was excited now.
“Don’t worry about scaring me ya know, I can handle anything you throw at me! I’ve been practicing the hell viewing technique doncha know!” He hoped his confidence would rub off on her and get her to practice with him. He wasn’t a Genjutsu specialist by any means, but he figured it would be good to diversify his arsenal a bit.
He had gotten cranky old Eko Uchiha to teach him the basics last time he was in the district. They let him in more often these days, he didn’t know why but he was glad for it, gave him the chance to pick up on techniques and ideas. He also got acquainted with a bunch more of his clan members.
Eko sensei’s lessons were harsh though, and Izuna preferred figuring the techniques out on his own then coming back to the district to prove progress, he didn’t like people metaphorically peering over his shoulder when he was deciphering concepts, it made him self conscious and made it hard to focus. That was actually part of the reason he stopped the body flicker practice when he noticed the girl. So he decided to offer to train something where he was more comfortable with his own skill level.
“But we should work on more subtle stuff, here. I’ll cast a genjutsu on you, I’ll make a mild change to something in our general vicinity, if you can tell where it is point it out and dispel the technique. Then you can do the same to me.” Izuna was happily explaining his master plan to the girl, seemingly in a perpetual good mood today. Maybe there would be a storm later today. He seemed to have a sixth sense with these things.
“Or maybe you can correct my body flicker! I’m kinda sick of practicing it but I’ll do what i can to not plow the earth evereytime I give it a go.” He really wanted someone to train with today, he usually did it alone, adding other people was fun from time to time… A horrid memory of a Hyuuga child came to mind, he cringed. That specific group training session had not gone well for him at first.
Izuna broke eye contact with the girl after his last round of talking a looked out at the rising sun. The dawn was beautiful in a powerful way. He met the girl’s blue eyes again and gave her a smirk.
“So what’ll it be, or should I leave you be.”

The sun had only just recently joined the clouds in the sky, painting them an orange colour Kouga found especially beautiful and relaxing. He loved getting up early to watch the sunrise, even though this time this wasn’t his motivation. Because of his little run-in with a certain spider, he was out of commission for a few weeks and was itching to get back to training. He could still feel the points where its claws tore into his flesh, but he was able to move everything, and a little pain never held him back. Sometimes it even helped. While he was asleep and recuperating, the fox who trapped him in the genjutsu actually did something to his sword as an apology. Since then, it popped into his hand whenever he thought about it, granted it was close enough to him. To be honest he enjoyed this way more than he should have.
As he was walking towards the training grounds with his injuries still in bandage and his sword on his back, his dusty red ponytail danced behind him in the morning wind. When arriving to the fence surrounding the grounds he jumped over them, partly to test how much his left leg can take, partly not to lose more time by walking to the gate. He only noticed the two people already there after landing on the other side. They both seemed a bit dirty and rugged, implying they have already been training for a while. Shit they start early. He always liked people who worked hard for their goals, so that made them quite sympathetic. Now that he looked at them closer, one was a boy slightly younger than himself, the other a girl who looked a few years older. As soon as he spotted the girl’s bright red hair he was sure she was an Uzumaki. That hair colour is just too unique.
The girl seemed to be practicing throwing shurikens and kunai, as multiple of them were sticking out of a log in front of her. As she tried hitting a kunai with a shuriken midair, she almost hit herself and fall over the boy standing behind her. The execution could use some practice but damn that was almost a really cool move. He decided it was best to greet them, if they are going to share the field today anyway. The Uzumaki girl quickly hopped up after rolling some, clearly alarmed. The boy looked unfazed and offered his hand and name and asked about practicing genjutsu. Kouga felt chills going down his spine as it reminded him his encounter. The most scary thing in retrospective was how unafraid he was of death in that situation. It felt like a completely different person took over his body. He tried shaking the feeling off as he approached the pair and even managed a smile. Before he got there the pale boy started talking about practicing basic genjutsu or helping him with his body flicker. He was experimenting with that technique himself for some time before the whole thing in the forest. This definitely sounded better than illusions.
“Hey, that shuriken move was kinda cool. Do you mind if I join you guys?” – he tried being genial, but in truth talking to strangers stressed him out to no end. Although, these guys seemed cool, so it was worth it. Or at least he hoped so.

As the girl comprehended what the boy was saying all she could realize is he was talking about Genjutsu still, didn't she just say she wasn't exactly interesting in it... Perhaps he misheard her. Though from appearance he seemed to double down, even saying for her not to hold back, she didn't know a single genjutsu technique or even the signs to break them, what did he mean not hold back. there was nothing TOO hold back. Thinking of if she's even seen hand signs for genjutsu she was alerted the boy knew a genjutsu which cause a sweat to break out on her back, she didn't want to get put into a Genjutsu no not one bit.
As the boy had a flash back the girl slowly made her way around him, reaching for the bag she had, it was more so just to make sure if she did leave she'd have her things though she didn't want to be rude, no not one bit, she would of loved to help the boy if he had literally anything else, though she wasn't the best of Ninjutsu... or Taijutsu... Or any... jutsu... She could do decent medical jutsu but when it came to the main 3 types of jutsu being Ninjutsu Genjutsu and Taijutsu she was a novice, she could barely do anything with her wind style what was she gonna do with a jutsu she's never even tried or wanted to try.
Eventually though the boy snapped back too reality, coming up with something that could be considered a compromise. The thought of it was actually somewhat pleasing in fact. A simple test Genjutsu, the kind where no horrors beyond you imagination would be shown, just a simple trick, one thing in the area would change, and that was it, either a lamp post becoming a tree or something else minor, but whatever it was it was far better then the more advanced jutsu's that could scar people for life, and she was more then fine to do that kind of stuff. As she picked up her bag though the ninja then offered something else as well.
He had wanted to learn the body flicker technique, a over all simple technique that was easy to get the ropes to too her, though it seems this boy indeed had been struggling, thinking quietly as too a way to improve his ability to use the technique she simply asked. "Are you sure your doing the signs correctly?" If he was maybe it was just the sudden burst of speed that was making his life harder, but surely if he just practiced more and more he'd be able to work it out right, after all some of the techniques she knew took her dozens of attempts, some times it took her days to learn a technique others she picked it up on the first try.
Eventually she finally came to the point where he asked what'll it be too which she softly responsed. "I... guess I could help teach you the body flicker technique..." In a somewhat quiet voice, not entirely sure what to expect, if he got hurt while she was teaching him would she get in trouble, the thought of getting in trouble for something outside of her control did upset her greatly, though for now it might just be best to go with the breeze and see what happens. As she turned to get ready to start practicing though she could see something coming through the fence line, was someone else arriving this early, yeesh.
Watching calmly as the man approached through the gate too the Advanced Training Field what she noticed almost immediately is how he looked, the bondages covering him, he carried a sword with him, perhaps they were blade cut's from practicing with it, though she'd love to practice medical ninjutsu, perhaps heal his wounds immediately she couldn't just run up and ask him if she could practice medical ninjutsu on him, right, that would be creepy or weird, even despite her actually being rather innocent in wanting to help heal his wounds, he could just go to the hospital if he wanted that so she didn't mention it.
Though the thing he said caught her off guard, the part where she was practicing shuriken redirection, a simple technique, masked by a complicated as hell calculation, you effectively had to calculate it all in the span of a second or two which is why she struggled so much with it, for kunai it was even worse as if you made a incorrect angle it could very well break the Kunai, which on a genin budget isn't exactly cheap, she barely had the Ryo to pay for food on her own, even if her parents would of supplied her with it otherwise, so she couldn't go breaking any gear that she couldn't pay for but back to the guy who had approached them.
"Oh uh... Hello, are you alright you seem rather injured Mr...?" Her voice stopped after that clearly awaiting a name or something to address the man as, otherwise it would be weird just talking to a template of a person who she had nothing to call, she could call him Bandage Man but that would be rude, it is the most immediate thing that came to her head though so if she wasn't given a proper name she might very well start calling him that, it actually had a mildly comical ring to it all things considered she wasn't the best in social conversations either, jeez how was she ever gonna deal with battlefield wounds if this kind of crap got her nervous. As she slowly placed her hands behind her back her bag of ninja equipment now dangling from her arm her hoodie blew a bit in the wind as she felt like the world grew completely silent. Perhaps they were thinking how to respond or perhaps they were looking her and the other kid over, yes that was the most likely answer.

The girl wanted to help the boy learn body flicker. Thank god it’s not genjutsu. Though now that he was a bit calmer and thought about it, learning genjutsu release would be a good thing, so he can solve similar situations without damaging his tongue. Which still hurt by the way. Why was it healing even slower than his other injuries? And now that the took a closer look at the boy he was really young. He had to be an academy student still, based on his lack of a headband. And he was already meddling in genjutsu and body flicker? Kouga a few years back couldn’t even manage to make a clone let alone trying to affect other people’s senses. He might be some sort of genius. And he was working hard as well. Kouga found himself somewhat admiring the young boy.
“Hey, that shuriken move was kinda cool. Do you mind if I join you guys?”
As he asked this there was a spark of genuine interest in the Uzumaki girl’s eyes. Was she staring at his bandages? Well he wasn’t the prettiest sight right now he supposed. But there was something in that look. A bit of concern yes, but also obsession. She looked at him like he would look at high grade materials he could use in his smithing experiments.
"Oh uh... Hello, are you alright you seem rather injured Mr...?"
Ah, of course he forgot to introduce himself, what an oaf. But this confirmed that the girl really was interested in his injuries most of all. Curious. She also looked a bit deep in thought and then she smiled a bit, like someone who just thought of something funny. It was a bit creepy, but she had a certain charm to her.
“Of course, I’m sorry. My name is Kouga Hinomatsu, but just Kouga is fine. I overheard Izuna’s name, but I couldn’t quite catch yours.”
I think I can guess your surname though, he added in his head. Now that he was looking at her from relatively close, he noticed how deep blue her eyes were. He never actually met an Uzumaki before, only heard about the great heroes the clan has given to Konoha through the ages in history classes, back in his academy days. He tried reading her face but couldn’t make much sense of her just yet. No surprise there, they only just met. After waiting for her answer, he continued.
“Nice to meet you. And I am well enough to practice now, I think, thank you for asking. Though I must admit no medical expert took a look at my injuries.”
At least not a human one, but he swore not to give away the secrets of his saviours and he intended to keep that promise. If the girl didn’t push him for more details, or try to heal him or Izuna didn't do or say something to stop it, he took the initiative with the training, wanting to practice the technique himself as well.
“Well then, show us your Body Flicker Izuna, so we can try to guess what goes wrong.”
Finishing his sentence he took a few steps back and looked at the pale boy with great concentration. He fully intended to observe every minute detail about his jutsu, so he might actually help him.

"Yes I'm sure I did the signs correctly. Master Eko wouldn't have let me leave the last training session without demonstrating I could do the signs." Izuna was mildly annoyed at her insinuation that he would try a technique with the wrong hand signs, hand signs were the easiest part of learning new technique. Guiding your chakra into the right places was another story however. She agreed to help with the body flicker, he was about to respond when a third voice called out from behind him.
He hissed a curse under his breathe for not noticing man approach them, elder Eko would have given him a lecture at least 5 minutes long for that failure, with plenty of unrelated ranting. Luckily the man meant no harm, Izuna was sure he would be dead if he had. What kind of Shinobi let people sneak up on them like he just had? Swallowing his hurt pride he turned to face the newcomer.
He looked unique. Though after seeing the girl his bright hair didn't quite surprise Izuna as much as it would have otherwise. The boy looked like he had injuries or something, If Izuna wasn't in training mode he probably would be excited to hear the story behind the bandages. The boy's sword peaked his interest the most, Izuna decided he would ask about it after training. He figured he should start spending more time outside his head, especially when people were around...
Luckily he got the chance to continue his internal monologuing as the first words out of the new boys mouth were directed at the girl, Izuna had approached initially. He still didn't know her name, despite her accepting his handshake. Was she shy or something? They were talking about the girls trick with the shuriken, he had long given up at being more than normally competent with kunai and shuriken, he could throw them straight and that was good enough for him. He heard his name mentioned by the boy and that snapped him back to the conversation going on before him. Only for his Genjutsu dreams to be crushed when asked to demonstrate his body flicker.
Izuna had been set on the Genjtusu practice when he initiated this interaction. He wanted to put his body flicker to rest for the day, not the least because of the pain his entire body was in right now. Both of the shinobi in front of him seemed very uncomfortable with Genjutsu however, guess he would need to go and have a lesson with Eko later than evening. He shuddered just thinking about the overbearing elder. But he had no one else with the time or willingness to train him before he gradated the academy, he was half sure the elder just enjoyed yelling at him when he failed.
His attention shifted back to the two genin, they were looking at him expectantly. Especially the new guy. Izuna felt self conscious suddenly, he disliked doing techniques he wasn't confident in his ability with in front of people he didn't know. He turned his back to the two genin and made a mental note of the terrain, gazing out at a spot about 20 meters away he made the hand sign and channled the chakra needed for the technique.
As usual the technique resulted in failure, pretty much just in front of the destination spot Izuna lurched off balance and faceplanted into the ground... Several choice curse words and 11 year old shouldn't know later and he was in position to do the technique again. He was done failing today! He turned back towards the two and made the RAM sign again. He was cursing even louder when the result refused to change. He was pretty sure he sprained something in that attempt.
"I would really rather do some Genjutsu practice right now" his strained voice came out from the ground he was now adorning.

Oh, he was asking for a name, well that was a given, she had somehow gotten out of giving the Uchiha her name but now she was being directly asked, she didn't really know how else to respond. "Oh... it's Nakama." Is all she said, her eyes impressively avoiding eye contact as if it would kill her, she eventually would just sigh, looking off towards the younger kid. Only too see him commit too face planting into hard concrete flooring, perhaps they should add a padded around to the advanced training field for kids to practice stuff that enhances their speed, watching the boy just lay on the ground seeming to be saying obscenities she couldn't help but snicker, every shinobi had been at that point one time or another, even herself, though for her it was the surface walking trick, she remembered fondly busting her butt more times then once from trying to walk on walls or even ceilings only to fall a decent distance straight down cause her chakra distribution was wrong.
Watching the boy now attempt to return he damn near ran the two over before falling down in front of them, coming into a crouch she looked him over her eyes scanning the kid, he seemed fine if not in pain from falling over 3 times in what, 5 minutes, 8 maybe. still a short amount of time to be falling into the ground at mach 2, she did offer a hand to help the kid up, whether he took it or not she'd get up either pulling him up with her or not, but she then turned to the other person, was Kouga apparently, frankly she liked the nickname she came up with more. Bandage Man just had a nice ring to it if not for the sole reason that it was incredibly comedic. As she looked over the kid she shrugged supposing she could show the technique, maybe seeing it in live action would help him perfect his ability to use it, or maybe she'd end up falling flat on her own face as well, wouldn't that be absolutely hilarious.
Slowly the girl looking around the field before seeing a decently large post, more of a lamp post though obviously a bit different, taking a shuriken from her bag she took a soft breath taking a much sharper look to make sure she could do what she had planned, with a somewhat odd hold of the shuriken she threw it upwards towards that lamppost, a good 5-8 meters away, before making a hand sign, her body seemed to flicker from reality before she appeared on the lamp post nearly falling backwards, in fact she did fall backwards only managing to catch herself using surface walking, now hanging upside down the shuriken she through flew towards her only for her to barely catch it, her hand suffering rather harshly doing so, the girl did wince catching it but it's what she gets for trying to show off.
As she hung upside down from the lamp post barely managing to as her hand was now sliced open by a shuriken she threw she sighed slowly walking down with some precision the post before walking back over. "Note to both of you, don't ever show off like I just did, that was really stupid." She'd simply comment looking at her hand, a decent amount of the skin split as well as a decent puncture in it, though she simply took some bandages from her bag wrapping it around her hand, ripping it from the main length with some force, that should hold for the time being though now she looked at Izuna. "It's not a complicated technique to be entirely honest with you... I think the main issue your suffering from is that your moving at a speed your just not used too, your becoming disoriented and its causing you to lose your footing." Placing the now bloody shuriken and bandage roll into her bag she took a moment to ponder. "Perhaps you should try finding somewhere with padding, or somewhere your comfortable moving around in to practice it... Though... I don't think you really need a technique like this, most people I've seen just use it for flashy exits or entrances, perhaps you should try learning surface walking though! It's a super useful technique as you could see." The girl giggled a bit after having nearly fallen off the light post if not for surface walking.
"Regardless that's just what I think, you'll find your way with your own techniques to learn I'm sure of it." She'd simply state smiling though now she faced Bandage Boy. "As for you, are you saying no one training in medical ninjutsu looked at you after you had to get bandaged up like THAT?" She seemed unamused, perhaps even a tad angry about something like that, a Shinobi's health was no joke, when your back in Konoha after getting a injury on the field its best to return immediately to the hospital to at least get it checked out, that was the philosophy she lived by at least. Hell she even aspired to be a person people look for for that kind of help. "Honestly that's rather... stupid, no offense..." She commented, her tone finally shifting back to what she was like prior to any of what she just did. Either she just had a mood swing, got too comfortable before realizing she still barely knew these two, or something else, though Uzumaki's Females were known for their short tempers she supposed, her mother certainly had a short temper, so short it was scary. Regardless she just shrugged now not sure what else too say to the two. In all honesty that was the first time she even used the body flicker technique, she's seen it before obviously so she could of course somewhat copy it, even if she almost fell doing so, but if the Uchiha had viewed it with his clans dojutsu he'd likely learn it immediately, that's how it worked right. She wasn't entirely sure she supposed.

Kouga noticed the girl didn’t mention her clan’s name, and was actively avoiding eye contact. She was probably just shy, but Kouga couldn’t help but try to search for any additional clue he might find, that could help him understand her more. After all there is a story behind everything, even small things, and sometimes knowing those stories can be the difference between life and death.
Then as Izuna got ready to try the technique again, he shifted his attention back to him. He looked like he didn’t really want to do it, so he felt a sting of remorse, but now it would have been weird to try to stop him. He saw him make the ram sign, that seemed to be in order. I mean it had a single hand sign, hard to fuck up. Looking back Nakama asking if he did it correctly sounded very funny now. The sheer disrespect. As he was pondering this, the boy activated the technique, seemed to vanish from front of them and reappeared around twenty meters away, on his face. Well he seems to be able to use the technique just fine, but for some reason just fell over at high speed. It could be just a lack of balance, but the way he moved otherwise and how he quickly got up off the ground seemed to be going against that theory. He watched him make the same mistake, except now on the way back. So if not balance what could go wrong? If the one falling over was Kouga, the answer would very obviously be chakra control. He never was great at it, and to keep balanced while travelling at breakneck speeds you would need to keep an even amount of the stuff in your soles.
"I would really rather do some Genjutsu practice right now."
The poor guy’s voice sounded absolutely defeated, and this time he didn’t spring up from the ground. He wanted to help him up, but Nakama was faster at offering a hand. Then as he was about to speak, the girl just threw a shuriken and jumped in front of it on top of a lamp post, falling back only to regain her balance upside down. Her catch was abysmal and so her hand started bleeding. A very cool move, but pretty bad execution overall. He started to see a pattern here. But damn he wanted to try it now.
"Note to both of you, don't ever show off like I just did, that was really stupid."
The girl was lecturing them now hanging upside down on a lamp post with a bleeding hand. So she isn’t always that shy after all. He could get used to this as well, he thought. Though as she continued she did seem pretty arrogant, the first trait today that rubbed him the wrong way. She was right about the padding, he had to admit, but disagreed with the uses mostly. She just demonstrated how it had combat uses, but he decided against explaining his views on this for the time being. He waited for her to finish, then added his own piece of advice.
"Yeah... using something more soft than the ground to catch you seems like a good idea. And you’re doing great, you manage to activate the technique, so it’s mostly just a question of balance. If you’re anything like me, you should concentrate more on how you spread your chakra in your soles, and to keep it a steady flow as you arrive. Now I have something I want to try, I’m sorry."
As the redhead youngling unsheathed his mountain of a sword from its leather scabbard on his back, the unusually wide blade gave no sound at all. It looked almost as tall as him, only falling short with a few centimeters. He was a brawny kid, but the size of the blade still looked ridiculous compared to him. He took a deep breath, his muscles flexed as he lifted his sword next to him in one hand. It almost looked light, but when he pulled it back a little, then threw it, its mass was unquestionable. As the massive chunk of steel left his hand, it started spinning horizontally. When it was a good distance from them, he made the ram sign, just like his peers earlier. Suddenly his lines became blurry, then he was gone, only to reappear in front of his weapon with one hand extended towards it, ready to catch. His heart was thumping in his head. Time seemed to slow down, the seconds until it reached his hand felt like an eternity. As the sword reached his fingers handle first, it forced them back accompanied by some sharp pain. The blade eventually bounced from his hand diagonally upwards. He managed to react in spite of the sting in his right hand, and caught the now slowed down sword with his left.
Now that the action was over he knew the pain will get worse, so he waited. It didn’t matter how prepared he was for it, he frowned as it arrived. With his excitement gone, he realized he did what the kunoichi told him not to just a minute ago. And she was right it would appear. He hoped this wouldn’t become a pattern. He got his emotions under control and started walking back towards the pair.
“Now that this is out of the way, you were mentioning something about practicing genjutsu?”
