He longed for the community and camaraderie that came with working in a village, even if his stubborn personality would never allow him to say that aloud.

One day, Andre received a visit from a group of villagers who had heard of his reputation as a skilled blacksmith. They had come to recruit him to work as the village blacksmith, and Andre was keen on the opportunity. He packed up his tools and set out for the village, eager to start his new life. He quickly proved himself to be a valuable member of the community, working tirelessly to craft weapons and armor for the village's shinobi. 

Since then, Andre became an integral part of the village, becoming a trusted figure amongst its ranks. His work was prized by the villagers, and he was often called upon to create special pieces for important occasions. The villagers learned to dismiss his senile personality and disorganized workspace, as the quality of his craft far outweighed those inconveniences.
