Way of the Sharingan: Part II
Fri Jul 14, 2023 9:50 am
Tenshi sighed as he exited his home in the morning heat, Konoha's weather had been unbearable as of late. Not even a week ago, it had felt like they were going through an ice age, and yet now, it had completely flipped and reversed. He had made the mistake of wearing his usual attire, a long black flowing coat and matching pants, these were accompanied by his large black boots, different to the usual style of a Konoha Shinobi. He could have easily walked back inside to wear something a little bit more appropriate, however, laziness took control and he simply shrugged and moved forward.
It took him 30 meters before the heat truly started to sink in, it was not just hot, it was SCORCHING today. He received many odd looks from his fellow clan members, all of whom were wearing shorts and thin shirts. Many of the older folk were even sporting light umbrellas to help keep themselves under the shade, however this did not seem to do much with the hot wind being blown around. For some odd reason, the Uchiha children did not seem to mind at all. The weekend was still the weekend to them after all, and they simply refused to allow the conditions to put a damper on their spirits. As he continued to walk, he even spotted a large group of them jumping into a nearby pond, using the heat as a chance to have a day in the water, how Tenshi envied their youthful exuberance.
Further down on his journey, Tenshi walked past Ichiraku Ramen, his favourite restaurant in the village. Ramen Guy and Tenshi's crush, Ramen Girl, were putting on fake smiles as they served customers, the young Uchiha could hardly imagine what the kitchen must feel like in this weather. He pitied them, and his face reflected that as he passed with a wave. Ramen Girl mouthed a Help Me to him and they both shared a little chuckle. He continued walking as he blissfully pictured the rest of his life with her, a sad and hopeful dream it was.
Tenshi had been somewhat surprised when his team mate, Okisho Uchiha, had contacted him about organising a training session. It was obviously not out of the ordinary for team mates to train together to hone their skills, but Okisho had specifically mentioned learning more about the Sharingan from Tenshi. The Genin was honoured that his team mate would confide in him like this, to him, it showed the trust that the two of them shared together. He was glad to know that either of them was able to contact the other for a favour like this, and he was more than happy to assist a good friend. He continued walking with a smile on his face.
Finally, Tenshi arrived at the entrance of Konoha's Advanced Training Facility, an impressive structure. He had never actually used it before, but had heard that it felt like more progress was made there than in the normal facilities. He was extremely eager to check this out and put it to the test himself. More importantly, especially today, was the fact that it had both and outdoor and an indoor facility, meaning that he and Okisho would be in an air conditioned environment. Air conditioning sounded VERY nice right now, his long outfit was starting to get the better of him and he needed a change of scenery.
A guard stood by the entrance, nodding and waving Tenshi in when he saw the Uchiha's documentation. "Good afternoon sir, I am expecting my fellow Team 212 team mate, Okisho Uchiha, to join me today. Would you kindly inform him that I will be awaiting his arrival in the indoor facility?" The guard nodded and grumbled as Tenshi walked past him, he was clearly struggling with the conditions as well today.
As he entered the indoor portion of the facility, Tenshi gasped with joy when the cold air conditioned breeze hit him. It was as if he was in paradise, he would happily remain in here for the remainder of the day. Walking in further, he turned and waited for his fellow team mate to join him.

The heat today was quite murderous, the sun beaming down on all the residents of the leaf mid-day with seemingly no end. It wouldn't be frowned upon to stay indoors the whole day, but not for Okisho. He was to meet up with one of his teammates, Tenshi, to talk shop and train. ever since the incident with their Sensei, Okisho didn't really find much time to sharpen his skill. he was too busy searching for his headband. Nevertheless, he eventually found it, tossed off to the side in the forest grounds. He didn't know why his sensei did what he did, but rest assured he would never forget. He grits his teeth in thought while exiting his place of residency. To discard something so important so casually, it was disrespectful. He made it appoint to never remove his headband at the whim of someone else, regardless of rank. It was against his character yes, for Okisho to disobey orders from someone of a higher rank. But the event was etched into his mind. "Never again...", he said as the sun began to beam down upon him as he left the comfort of his home. It was indeed hot, but his clothes he wore allowed him to breath a bit.
As for attire, Okisho is a minimalist, nothing too flashy and void of any logos. He is seen wearing a simple all light grey shirt, and a pair of dark navy-blue slacks which stop at the top of his ankles. A single ninja pouch concealed underneath his black shirt. The pouch his attached to his black leather belt, fastened on the back right side of his waist. His shoes are standard issued shinobi editions, revealing his toes and back ankles. His shinobi headband is tied tight against his forehead, but not so much to cause any discomfort.
Reaching the super advance training grounds, he chats with the guard, as he was informed that Tenshi was already here. he pursed his lips at the fact, wondering how long he made him wait. At least he was indoors, so the heat wouldn't cook him as he waited. Giving his respects to the guard, he proceeds onward to the training grounds where he would finally meet up with, Tenshi.
Entering the training grounds, he would see Tenshi turn towards the entrance as if he knew Okisho was already here. He slowed his advancement at the sight wondering how he did that.
"Hey..., Tenshi! It's been a while. How are you? I hear from the folks back in our district that you have been training nonstop. All day everyday", he stops his advancement till he was in handshaking distance away from Tenshi. "Aside from that, how's life? You catch up with, Onabi?", he stands by eager to hear his reply on this. He too wanted to meet up with the Hyuuga.

Re: Way of the Sharingan: Part II
Fri Jul 28, 2023 2:12 pm
Tenshi turned to see Okisho arriving suddenly, he had actually caught himself lost in thought about an upcoming request he had for the Hokage and snapped out of it to look around for the time. It was a welcome surprise for him to see Okisho in the entrance way. Tenshi enjoyed his fellow clan and team mate's company, the two of them had worked a couple of missions together now, both had been rousing successes. They had notably not had the opportunity to train together properly since the incident with the team leader, Onabi. Tenshi still got annoyed when he remembered how that situation had gone down, he could never imagine treating a team of his own like.
He raised a hand as Okisho moved to him, a smile on his kind face, "Hey there Okisho, it is a pleasure to see you! It has indeed been a while, I am sorry that I did not reach out sooner, I have been caught up with so much recently." He was surprised at what Okisho said next, he had no idea the people of the clan had been speaking about him. "Oh I guess that would be true, I have indeed been training my backside off recently to get stronger. There is actually a couple of things I wanted to talk to you about regarding that, but we can save that for after the formalities." Tenshi's recent ventures HAD been interesting, the young Uchiha had made some fascinating discoveries about the Sharingan in his training, as well as a few misadventures that had cost him and Himari a butt whooping by the village's higher ups.
"Unfortunately, there is not much I can say about Onabi. It seems that he has abandoned us in the meantime, so I guess that we have to look out for ourselves and each other. I wonder what happened to him, it is not common for a team leader to just up and vanish on their team like that, is it?" Tenshi almost found himself getting lost in thought once more about his sensei's disappearance, before quickly snapping himself out of it.
He shook Okisho's hand as he spoke further, "Anyway, what about you? What have you been up to recently? I have not had the chance to get up to date about your time since we last spoke. I know you wanted to catch up to speak about some things regarding our clan and the Sharingan, is there anything I can do to help you?"

“Mhmm…”, was all he said. Okisho also heard what happened with Tenshi and the Jounin at training ground 11. Everyone did, which he himself wasn’t going to elaborate on until Tenshi brought it up again. That was one of the cons about the Uchiha in the Uchiha district, people talk.
Rasing his eyebrows he goes on to explain what he did the past few days. “Nothing much really, ever since our sensei took off, I’ve taken a few missions here and there. I’ve been saving up to move out”, he taps his right thigh, keeping in touch with his imaginary wallet. For too long has he stayed in his parents home, the need for him to venture out and secure a place elsewhere was always on his mind. The Uchiha district was one of the oldest districts in the village. The history, the arts, it all attracted a certain type of folk who seemed to thrive in places they didn’t truly understand. What they thought was love and understand, was taking not by the hand but of the whole arm. Day by day he saw it all, folks moving in, bringing in big money from other villages. It started with non uchihas wearing uchiha garbs, but then it evolved into playing uchiha. Perhaps there was a sense of euphoria, pretending to be something you’re not. Okisho didn’t quite know what to think of it, all he knew was that itvwas driving up the cost of living in the Uchiha district. A development that could pose a problem in the future.
Touching back to base as to the reasoning to why he was here, Okisho, after taking in a breath, explained a certain development within him after training some time not too long ago.
“A while back when I was training, I was doing the usual. Shuriken target practice, handseal speens trainin, etc. After a days training, I… went for a run. I pushed myself to my limits, i just wanted to see how far I could go without stopping. When I finally stopped, my vision changed. I thought maybe it was due to the physical strain, I could even taste blood with every breath I took. I could see, blobs of light. I’d… never experienced anything like it before. And it wasn’t going away. The only way I knew it had to have been the sharingan, was because I caught a reflection of it when I got home. Plus… all the stares I got from the villagers. Apprently displaying your sharingan is an act of hostility. I didn’t know that” he said with shame. For him to lack the knowledge of his clan‘s rules was pretty shameful on his part. He made his amends with those he wronged of course. A big fat crow to go along with his cold meal that night.
He takes a moment as he remembers the rather embarrassing moment he went through the other day. His gazed wondered off but found his gaze fixed right back onto, Tenshi. “Do you know anything about the sharingan and what it can do? I’d go to my parents, but after that shameful day I don’t really want to deal with them, or anybody, Tenshi. You’re the only one I can talk to without feeling shameful right now”, he waits to see what his Uchiha frirnd had to comment on the matter. If he was lacking in the information he wanted, Okisho figured he would have no choice but to go to his parents and face the music.

Re: Way of the Sharingan: Part II

Tenshi chuckled at Okisho's initial response, his fellow Uchiha Genin did not seem surprised or confused in the slightest, it seemed as if word travelled fast around Konoha, especially if you were an Uchiha. With a tiny sigh, he addressed the issue. "Well it looks like the cat is out of the bag on that one, I take it you know all about the Jecht situation?" Tenshi was not ashamed of it, he had received an ass whooping that day, but it was most definitely a valuable lesson that he was able to learn. No pain no gain as they say.
The Uchiha nodded along as Okisho spoke about his recent exploits, it appeared that he had been taking it somewhat easy since they last spoke. Tenshi very much wished that he had also done the same, all that hard work had been wearing him thin, both physically and mentally. The boy was drained, and he most definitely needed a vacation.
"Ah yes, the joys of living alone, I can confirm that it is quite peaceful, albeit a bit lonely, although you get used to that part very quickly when you live in the Uchiha District. I have been considering moving away, it does not exactly feel like home in there any more. The increase in people has created an equal increase in noise pollution and crime, I can not be bother dealing with it all any more." Tenshi was of the same mind regarding their clan's home district, it no longer felt like the Uchiha District, it felt like a central hub for anyone who was able to afford it.
Tenshi began to smile as Okisho explained his recent training endeavour, his team mate was clearly explaining how he had awakened the Sharingan, which he confirmed straight away. It was a great honour to awaken the fabled eyes of their clan, doing so as a Genin was a sign of a potentially extraordinary individual, individuals that the clan in Konoha sorely needed.
"I must admit, I did not take you for a liar Okisho... How can you say that you have not been up to much, and yet, you have already awakened your Sharingan. You must be immensely talented if you were able to do that without training all the time. I hope to attain that level of natural ability one day, although I do not think it is something that can be learned." Tenshi laughed heartily when Okisho mentioned the incident in the streets of their district, he himself had forgotten that it could be considered hostile to others of their clan to show them your Sharingan.
Tenshi was very easy to talk to, but he rarely, if ever, confided in his fellow clan mates. He had not managed to get close to any other Uchiha since he was a child, until he had met Okisho of course. So it was easy for him to keep his own secrets from them, although it made it quite difficult to seek advice when nobody really talked to you. But he had a plan to get around that, albeit a very risky plan in itself.
Tenshi's eyes widened at his team mate's request, Okisho wanted HIS help? They were the same rank as Genin, so Tenshi understood that it must have been hard for Okisho to open himself up like that, but Tenshi respected his willingness to do so. He took a moment to think about his response, the Sharingan was indeed a complex gift, so it was not an easy one to describe properly. Finally, Tenshi spoke up.
"The Sharingan is... a tool. Despite what the elders of our clan may say, they love to blab on about how it is all sacred and virtuous and blah blah blah... But if I have learnt anything from my time wielding it, it is that the Sharingan is a means to an end. Like a blade needs to be sharpened by a whetstone, the Sharingan needs to be sharpened through exposure and diligence."
Tenshi focussed his chakra to flow into his own eyes, activating his three tomoe Sharingan for Okisho to see. Tenshi had used it very frequently by now, which allowed him to increase his mastery over it. "On thing that I have learnt, is that the more tomoe one has in the eyes, the less focus and chakra you need to activate and maintain it. I would often find myself exhausted when I used the one and two tomoe variants of the eyes, but now I barely notice it. By increasing the power of the eyes, the easier they are to use."
Tenshi continued using his Sharingan as he spoke, the deep red pupils staring directly into the eyes of Okisho. "I have also noticed an increase in my Genjutsu abilities thanks to the eyes, they even helped me unlock a very powerful Genjutsu technique in of itself. This technique can be as minor as playing tricks on opponents, to being able to completely paralyse them. I am happy to teach it to you if you are willing and able to learn it." Tenshi was of course referring to the Sharingan: Genjutsu technique, something that had assisted him in completing many missions in the past.
There is more to the Sharingan than what any Uchiha I have met has ever told me, I do not know if it is just me that has gotten lucky or blessed, but it is something that I have never even heard of before. I... err... Tenshi trailed off as he hesitated for a moment. He was unsure if it would be wise for him to tell Okisho about his recently awakened Mangekyo Sharingan. Although what if his team mate actually had knowledge of what it was?

Re: Way of the Sharingan: Part II

The more he listened the more he tried to keep an open mind on the modern take, Tenshi was giving on the sharingan. Okisho himself leaned towards old traditions and rites passed down from the past; despite he himself not knowing all of his clan’s rules apparently. It explained how he himself also held respect for those higher ranked, much less those serving the leaf as shinobi. But what Tenshi said about the sharingan needed to be honed, that much he wholeheartedly agreed with. He needed to make sure that the tool given to him by those of the past, toed by blood, was used the right way.
Left to ponder on what was said, Okisho watches Tenshi reveal his own pair of Sharingan. His eyes turned crimson red, and manfested three tomoe. Two more than what his own current sharingan possessed. He himself responed first by narrowing his eyes first, and transform his eyes into the sharingan too. It wasnt as mature as Tenshi, but it was a start. He feels the drain, the strain on his eyes already. Strange, how he could feel the pull from his chakra reserves already. “You’re right about that. I can already feel it draining me”, he said while widening his eyes.
“Wait, I always heard that the sharingan could play tricks on the minds of others. Yes, teach me. I was always interested in genjutsu. Anything that could help me hone and mature these eyes further… if that’s ok?”, Okisho found himself hounding Tenshi more and more about the Sharingan. But he also noticed how hesitant he grew at the end. It was as if he either said too much, something out of line that wouldn’t fly too well with others. Or perhaps, Tenshi wanted to keep something from be said. What Okisho couldn’t quite get was why?
“Before I what? What else were you going to say?”, he asked. Regardless if he answered or not, he pressed on. He was much too eager to mature his eyes.
“Anyways… Maybe, it’s a blessing? If anything, from what I’ve heard and what you’ve told me about these eyes, it could help you obtain your goal. Becoming Hokage right?”, he takes a moment to hear what Tenshi was gonna say to ease the hesitant mood out of him and help train him. He takes a few steps back to put more distance between them, a meter away. “So how does this ocular genjutsu work?”

Re: Way of the Sharingan: Part II

Tenshi nodded as Okisho experienced the heavy drain of a one tomoe Sharingan, he himself remembering just how strenuous it was for him to maintain it. "Indeed, it is extremely noticeable when you have it in that state. I guess that mastery over it also means a reduction in chakra and stamina required to utilise it." As he spoke to Okisho, the two sets of red eyes making direct visual contact, Tenshi discretely activated his Sharingan Genjutsu ability with a power of 85.
Tenshi did not yet use the paralysing effects of his Genjutsu, instead Okisho would notice Tenshi beginning to walk back and forth casually as they spoke. It would appear as if he was simply moving about to continue warming up, with Okisho's eyes following him as he moved. In reality, the two of them would remain stood still as they had been the entire time. If Okisho had three tomoe, he would have noticed this Genjutsu instantly.
Okisho next asked about the very Genjutsu that had been cast upon him, to which Tenshi began to describe it. "So the Sharingan Genjutsu is an extremely valuable technique, one of our clan's best actually. It requires the caster and target to make direct eye contact for its effects to take place. We do not have to make hand seals, instead, everything is performed through the eyes themselves." As Tenshi spoke, the Genjutsu version of him would occasionally look around to observe their quiet surroundings, in an attempt to make Okisho believe that he was not using the Genjutsu on him.
His team mate noticed his hesitation when he spoke, prompting him to push further for Tenshi to reveal what he was keeping hidden. He took a moment and then sighed in resignation, Okisho would see the person that he thought was Tenshi nodding and speaking. "Ahh. Very well... I will tell you but. But whatever you hear from me now can NOT be shared, not until we actually figure out what is going on..."
"I... uhh... recently discovered that there is a form beyond the third tomoe. A much more powerful and dangerous version of the Sharingan. It is called the Mangekyo Sharingan and takes on a different design altogether. I will show you this now." Instead of activating his real Mangekyo Sharingan, Tenshi used his ongoing Genjutsu to make the Mangekyo design appear on his illusion's eyes.
"This form comes with additional abilities. I do not know how many you can learn through it, but just know that it must be used sparingly. Each use of it can be painful so if you are able to achieve it, I would recommend not using it unless absolutely necessary. The techniques I have unlocked with it include the ability to freely teleport myself and others to a dimension of my own creation, quite a nifty tool if I do say so myself. I believe there is more to it, however, I have not yet truly experimented with it. I plan on asking the Hokage if he has any more information on the topic."
"That is true, I believe the Sharingan could very well be how I attain a power to be at least strong enough for my goal, but only time will tell that much. In terms of teaching you how the Sharingan Genjutsu works, we could always have a little spar? That way you can see its effects first hand?"
If Okisho did not yet realise he was under the Genjutsu already and attempted to make any movements or form any techniques, he would only proceed to do so in the Genjutsu itself, with his actual body now frozen in place. Something that he would only discover after breaking the Sharingan Genjutsu.

“Hm, understood, Tenshi.”, his gaze meet his as he said this while holding back any notion of a smile. Okisho never cares for drama, so he knew how to keep a secret. He couldn’t speak for the rest of his clan. It was how he heard about Tenshi’s run in with the Jounin who was known to be Jecht. He never heard of anyone by that name, but as Tenshi stated earlier. No pain, no gain. It was good that the village had shinobi will to put aside the time to teach people.
Okisho’s form tensed as his teammate was about to divulge the information he requested, the anticipation just might as been just well sought. He knew it had to have been important, and as an Uchiha himself he felt as if he had a right to know just what was going on with his own Sharingan too. His heart flutter a bit, but he regained a steady beat shortly after.
This little situation reminded him of the time his own father sat him down in front of their house, explaining to him his lineage and what it meant to be an Uchiha. There was little talk about the sharingan, but more so about keeping up with tradition and respecting the chain of command. A military house hold indeed, both his parents were shinobi. Retired now, but still kept in touch with today’s poltics. But the feeling of being taught something new, while keeping an open mind, to, Okisho it was one of life’s greatest pleasures.
Tenshi spoke about a stage of the sharingan that preceeded the three tomoe, a stage Okisho thought would be the final one. However, with his limited information he could only hold himself accountable for thinking such. Nevertheless, he remained quite and watched as Tenshi paced around as if he was the instructor, and Okisho the student. Then, Tenshi eyes changed on e more to reflect upon what he said. The pattern shown within his eyes was, unique. No longer the three tomoe, was this pattern the same for all or did those who awaken this state get a different pattern for their own? He couldn’t help but stare into Tenshi’s eyes whenever he got the change to. It was like gazing into the eyes of a basilisk, his curiosity was getting the better of him. He had so many questioned, but Tenshi wasn’t done talking. Thus, he bit his tongue and remained as he were. Silent, but ever so curious as to what else he had to say.
The next portion of words seemed to have come striaght out of some comic book. He shook his head slightly as he waa taken aback a bit at the fact that, Tenshi had access to his own personal dimension. And to add on to that, a dimension he created himself?! “What, did you say? Your ow-“, he catches himself as he started to mutter his own thoughts. He couldn’t help it, it was something he would have never thought the Sharingan was quite capable. He didn’t know if Tenshi heard him while pacing back and forth, but Okisho crossed his arms while placing his right hand under his chin while grasping it. He used his lower left arm as a support bar while trying to believe any what Tenshi was telling him. To be honest, he was having a hard time.
With the million and one questions he had for Tenshi, they all seemed to secondary at this point. Okisho’a mind fixated on the lone single detail within Tenshi’s teachings.
“Show me…“, he said while giving him a deadpan face look. He couldn‘t believe what he was hearing, and needed proof. “Im ready to spar, but I’m having a hard time believing that these eyes are capable of such power. Creating your own dimension? That’s nonsense, Tenshi.”, he get’s into a stance after placing more distance between them and weilds the seal of confrontation with his right hand. His left arm was now loose and hanging at his side. He stands roughly 5 meters away and ready for combat. He keeps tabs on his current sharingan, noticing the drain it caused. It felt as if a thumbs was pressing against both his eyes, closed of course. With each passing moment, the pressure against them grew. Was that how it felt for Tenshi?

Tenshi had expected Okisho's response once he uttered the words about owning his own dimension. This was not just some fancy trick with a pair of cool eyes. No. This was a 19 year old boy claiming that he had access to an entirely new plane of existence. A new world in of itself. Most people would assume that he was crazy if they heard him say this, and he suspected that Okisho may be one of them. Tenshi himself thought he was losing his mind when he discovered it, but after a short while it had become very much real.
It seemed that he would need to show Okisho for him to believe it, but Tenshi was concerned about the strain it would take on him. His eyes had felt like they were burning him alive the first time he used his Mangekyo Sharingan, although there was no lasting damage at the time. He deduced that it would not be a good idea for him to use it recklessly at will, or to be a tool for him to show off to his friends for fun. But he had a better idea...
He would sigh, before finally responding to Okisho, "You want me to show you? Very well, I will show you just how incredible this technique I have told you about is. I will show you the power of my Sharingan!" Using his Sharingan Genjutsu, Tenshi would make everything in Okisho's sight spin and swirl in a clockwise direction. The world itself would become distorted with different shades of red, blue, purple and orange. Seconds later, Okisho would picture himself and Tenshi in an entirely different world. They would be standing on floating platforms of swirling pitch blackness. It looked as if the stone itself was alive. Okisho would witness a perfect replica of Tenshi's Kamui Dimension.
With the two of them standing on a single platform together, now 5 meters apart, Tenshi raised his hands up to either side of his body, as if he was about to embrace Okisho. "Do you believe me now? Welcome to the world I have created, I actually put a lot of effort into its design, it was quite bland and dark when I first found it."
Tenshi would then clench his fists and smile, "Perfect, it looks like you are ready to spar. In my world, I have the advantage, so I will give you one opportunity. Hit me with your most powerful technique. Do not hold back, I want to show you just how incredible these eyes are!" Okisho would see the illusion of Tenshi standing in place, waiting for him to make his move. "Do not worry about my wellbeing, I promise it will be alright."

Re: Way of the Sharingan: Part II

Assuring him that this was no joke, Tenshi obliged. Okisho’s one tomoe eyes widen up experiencing the passion that Tenshi spoke with. Just what was he planning, was the soar about to commence? He was already in a fighing stance, with some distance in between him. Okisho’s eyes narrowed once again, ready to defens himself. Thanks to his new set of eyes, his sharingan granted him the ability to see Chakra within another person. He could see, Tenshi’s chakra fluctuate. ‘Here it comes’, he said in his thoughts. He wondered what other jutsu he’d learn from the last tome the two have met?
Suddenly, Okisho felt the hairs along his arms grow stiff. The stood up as if they sensed something coming. His body wasnt wrong. His vision began to fail him as the room seemingly twisted in up itself. There was nothing he could do to defend himself, nothing he could come up with the stop the collapsing effect. However, what he saw as an attack was nothing of the sort, after the room finished violently impolding, he found himself in a whole other dimension. Was he truly far away from him? His eyes, which he had no other choice but to trust, scanned the area. He felt like a pilgram in this newfound land.
He looked down to see the silver 50x50 meter platform on which both of them stood upon. It was floating within nothingness, but still sturdy. The ominous clouds and crimson streaks of silhouettes filled the sky and space around him. Interesting enough, he could even feel the coldness. The slight breeze brushed upon his form with hints of… water droplets? Just what on earth was going on. Whatever it was, he’d be lying if he said he wasn’t intrigued.
As Tenshi went on about how he put considerable amount of work into this place, Okisho simply nodded while taking in the grand design. He had to hand it to him, this was breath taking. The brief moments of silent lightning that took place a great many distance ahead of them was a nice touch. Noticing the edge of the platform behind him was roughly 3 meters away, he turns around behind him. “Tenshi, this is…”, he walks over to the edge of the platform, starring down to the emplty void below. It matched the sky in ominous and design. He then snaps back to Tenshi in his gaze, he was ready to spar. Okisho nods towards him and prepares himself once again. After Tenshi finished, the last few words rang within his mind. “I want to show you just how incredible these eyes are!”, Tenshi said.
“Wait a minute…”, he said as he took a second long trip down memory lane.
Flashback:
"So the Sharingan Genjutsu is an extremely valuable technique, one of our clan's best actually. It requires the caster and target to make direct eye contact for its effects to take place. We do not have to make hand seals, instead, everything is performed through the eyes themselves." - Tenshi Uchiha
"I have also noticed an increase in my Genjutsu abilities thanks to the eyes, they even helped me unlock a very powerful Genjutsu technique in of itself. This technique can be as minor as playing tricks on opponents, to being able to completely paralyse them.” - Tenshi Uchiha
"Do not worry about my wellbeing, I promise it will be alright." - Tenshi Uchiha
Tuning back into the present, Okisho gazed upwards towards right, switching back and forth from his right to left. It was a good trick, he almost had him fooled completely. But Okisho was pretty sure the two didn’t leave the Leaf Village, much less the training ground facility.
“We’re still back in the advanced training ground facility, aren’t we, Tenshi? I don’t know when you did it, but I am most certainly under a genjutsu. There’s no way all this stuff is real! But..”, what seemed like judgement slowly turned into acknowledgement. “But, I know why you did it. If we are in a genjutsu, it means we can fight without the need to worry if you and I getting hurt. In fact, we can go all out without a scratch. Plus, you went in detail about the sharingan’s ability to cast genjutsu to teach me just how potent it can be. The details here are surreal indeed. It’s deceitful to the point where it’s just down right criminal without a doubt, but smart nontheless”, his gaze trails off a bit as he spoke, but eventually trails back onto Tenshi.
“Tenshi, and I mean this sincerly, you’re a very good teacher.” He gives a moment for his Instuctor to take in the newly given accolade. Afterwards, he would form the seal of confrontation once more, waiting for Tenshi to return the seal back at him. It was taught in the academy that when two leaf shinobi fought, they would each show the sign before combat. After he did so, Okisho would proceed with the first strike.
Keeping his sharingan fixed on, Tenshi, five meters away, Okisho would advance towards him. Closing in the gap, his form leaning forwards as he advanced with his arms following behind him at full speed. He would ball both hands up into a fist at three meters. He stops at a half a meter away from Tenshi, right foot leading with now both hands hoisted up in front of him at face level and delivers a swift jab to Tenshi’s right side of his jaw with his left fist. It was a simple attack, but he felt the need to start the soar nice and slow. Even though this was a genjutsu, he still wasn’t quite sure what Tenshi was capable of. One thing he was sure of, this wasn’t the same Tenshi he met during team 212’s first meeting.
