Someone like him taking a mission that was supposed to be for Genin was not something that Shiro was expecting to do today. The air felt thick around the edges of the main island, fog clouding most of his vision without the use of his precious Byakugan. The smell of salt almost hurt his nose when he was first brought towards the edge of the main island, he felt the ground underneath his feet was mushy and uneven while he walked with the chemist towards the edge of the island. His supposed containing method needed much more than just one set of hands for the job. Ones that Shiro could lend since he had nothing else better to do for the next hour or so. A small sigh escaped Shiro’s breath, he was to help not only contain and package the salt entirely, he was also going to have to collect some in order to complete the shipments out towards fellow great nations who wished to have a mere taste of their premium salt. Yet of course Hoshigakure was now going to get the most of it, hell they were also going to potentially get a cut of the deal from what he knew. His hand reached out, feeling out the texture and terrain of the rocks right above the crashing waves.
It was exactly the type of environment where these clots of Sea Salt would be the most precious. The waves crashing into the small pinkish rocks below, in a flash, the rocks that once were being crashed into suddenly had vanished. Shiro’s sword being drawn for a single moment before cleaving right through the rocks below. The cut was clean, not even a splinter of the rock remained. His eye wasn’t even active, his feet sliding backwards just a bit, before he jumped back upwards to deliver the massive ores of Sea Salt towards the chemist. Shiro jumped down, only to come back with more and more of the Sea Salt each and every time. The ore was surprisingly smooth, almost like a smooth stone found just outside of the small house he had for himself. The Cliff overlooking the sea was a good way of collecting so much of this precious salt. Enough of it to where he wasn’t even sure why there needed to be more salt then usually. The crashing of the waves against the cliff, with Shiro testing fate time and time again with each time he narrowly avoided the strikes of water that crashed directly into the side of the island.
After collecting almost an entire 4 meter tall pile of the Sea Salt, the easiest part was about to come. His sword could easily cut through the rocks, each swing causing the rocks to be split apart into tiny little pieces of Sea Salt. Enough to easily organize and pack them without the threat of the Sea Salt potentially breaking on its trek towards the other nations that would want some of their own precious Salt. Kiri could make a good amount of money simply selling the salt locally if someone was able to get more and more of this… Or just enough for it to be considered a novelty like option for their food. Shiro did however pocket one of the Sea Salt rocks, wishing to use it in order to have a bit of an extra amount of salt on his next meal.
