The start of a new school year!

The morning was calm, with the sun waking up earlier than it used to, thanks to the lack of clouds in that fatefull day. Nokino was already going to work, having slept and get up sooner than usually to go and prepare the class. After all, it was the first day of the new cohort at school! A fresh batch of students, about a hundred of them, all ready, or not, to be a part full time of the shinobi life. What an inspiring day it was, year after years, to welcome new talents like that. Of course, not all students were kids, but most of them were at least. As she arrived, she was met by the 2 other teachers, the tall red haired Yate Uzumaki, loud mouthed, brash and one of Nokino friend back then when they were kids, and the other one, even taller and with jet black hair was Kataru Nara, the very own prodigy of the Nara clan these days. He was a strict but calm man, not talking when not needed, but his sense of humor was equal to both the other teachers, as the trio was known to have a great relationship and like to crack a few jokes here and then. 

''Goooooood morning blondie! Ahaha you're late for a day like this. Needed your beauty sleep? ahah!'' Said sarcastically Yate, laughing as he had his arms crossed, finishing some last minutes notes on a scroll. 

''Leave her alone Yate, she does enough that she deserve that sleep more than your sorry alcoholic ass does!'' Replied Kataru, half smiling too. 

''Go on boys, go on. We'll see who has the best display for the kids. What jutsu you going to show this time Uzumaki? ShAdoW cLoNeS ? AHAHAH! And You Kataru? another water jutsu or a shadow one? You guys are funny. But still, its good to have another group! Cant wait to see them start.'' replied to both of them the blonde haired Iburi, a smile proudly worn on her face as she sarcastically made fun of them for using the same jutsu year after year.

As they waited, more and more young ones and childrens arrived, accompagnied by their parents, sometimes only one of them, sometimes the whole clingy family or clan, and sometimes, for a few of them, comming alone. There were some from all the renowned clans of Konoha: Some hyuuga, with their renowned byakugan and traditionnal garbs, some Akimichi, large and with even bigger lunchboxes, some Uzumaki, with hair of blonde or red color, some Nara, some Hatake, some Senju, and of course, a shit ton of Uchihas! Hard to miss them. A lot of the village population was Uchiha's, with their famous black hairs, and dark vestments, and their even more famous sharingans. Of course, a few students might develop theirs in the year of study, under the hard pressure Nokino would put them. This in the end was for the best of the village. As more and more gathered around, Nokino gestured to gather around her, and a crowd formed around each and every teacher, forming 3 groups. Each group was curious to see what the teachers had to do. Each group was about 33 students each, more or less, wich would later form the classes forming this new cohort. 

''Gather arounds kids! Common come here, I'll show you what its like to be a true ninja! You can ask questions too!'' Said Nokino, trying to sell her pitch to get the best students and more proeminent students to choose her class. Each year it was the same: her and the other two tried to sell their salad better than the others, trying to make the more serious and naturally talented kid to choose them, to have the class with the most potential, to get to train the kids with the most chances at a respectfull and legendary future. Nokino almost never lost, but of course, you couldnt have a class of all geniuses and talented kids. 

As childrens gathered around her, she waited until all of them were set and split evenly to showcase her abilities. As she saw all of the group was attentive, she quickly weaved handsigns, but not too quickly as she normaly would, wanting the childrens to see the way handsigns were woven in order to cast jutsu techniques. With a few of them, she launched from her mouth a large fireball upwards into the sky, making it burst 35m into the air like a firework.

''Woooaaahhh! Amazing! Wow! Great! I wanna learn that! Me too! How did you do that?! You're a real ninja! Wohooo!'' Said the group of impressed kids, all claping and celebrating as they were hyped to do the same.

Nokino looked towards the other two teacher at this time, while her group of kids was too happy and eager celebrating. As she saw, she was right, Yate was showing 2 clones of himself fight fist to fist, and Nokino smiled. As she turned to the other side to see her Nara collegue cast a water jutsu too she laughed a bit audibly before turning back to her own students. 

''This was a fire release technique. Called a fireball. Uchiha are the original users, but any of you, with training and an affinity for fire, can learn to use this jutsu with enough mastery of your own chakra! Now, do you have questions kiddos? I'm ready to answers any of them!'' Said Nokino.

''Does it hurt?'' asked the first children, a small Sarutobi kid, dressed with a oversized tshirt harboring a monkey on it.

''using it? No! receiving it? yes. Thats the whole goal. To defeat your enemies, and the enemies of the hidden leaf. This is the way of the ninja.'' replied Nokino.

''What kind of ninja can we be?'' asked the other one.

''well that depends on a few things. Some of us are born with unique abilities, but what matter the most is what kind of ninja you want to be. Training and studies are what lead to a true speciality and field of expertise as a ninja. Of course, bloodlines and element afinities enter into account, but the main thing is in your head and heart. Its your willpower to become what you want, and to serve our lord Hokage and the village.'' replied Nokino.

As she lit herself a cigarette and continued to answers the would be students questions, Nokino smiled and was eager for them to come back, for the actual first day not of school but of class, the day not of introductions, but the first day of learning. As she smiled thinking on it, she continued to introduce the rest of the kids, showing them jutsu, answering their questions, and showing the around the academy grounds.
