Joro Meeting Mikey!!!
Sat Feb 10, 2024 10:12 am
As the first light of dawn filtered through the curtains of Joro's modest apartment, he stirred from his slumber, his mind gradually emerging from the realm of dreams to the reality of a new day. With a stretch that sent a satisfying ripple through his muscles and a yawn that echoed in the quiet room, he greeted the morning with a sense of anticipation.
Feeling a desire for something different, Joro decided to break away from his usual routine and explore a new café in the city. The thought of venturing into uncharted territory filled him with excitement, the prospect of discovering a hidden gem amidst the bustling streets enticing him.
With a brisk pace that mirrored the energy of the waking city, Joro navigated through the labyrinth of streets until he reached the quaint café nestled in a corner. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans and the sweet scent of pastries greeted him at the door, beckoning him inside.
Stepping over the threshold, Joro was enveloped in the cozy ambiance of the café, its warm hues and soft lighting creating an inviting atmosphere that invited patrons to linger. The gentle murmur of conversation and the soft strains of jazz music filled the air, adding to the café's charm.
Taking in the surroundings, Joro made his way to a table near the window, drawn to the golden glow of the morning sun spilling through the glass. He settled into a chair, the smooth surface of the wooden table cool beneath his fingertips as he awaited his order.
As he sipped on his steaming cup of tea and savored the buttery flakiness of a croissant, Joro found himself captivated by the eclectic mix of people that populated the café. From the hurried businesswoman clutching her coffee to the group of friends sharing laughter over brunch, each patron added their own unique flavor to the bustling scene.
Amidst the ebb and flow of the crowd, Joro's attention was caught by a young man with bleach-blonde hair tied back in a casual ponytail, his easy stride and relaxed demeanor marking him as a familiar face in the crowd. Sensing an opportunity to extend a friendly gesture, Joro waved him over with a welcoming smile.
"Hey, over here!" Joro called out, his voice carrying above the gentle hum of conversation. "Plenty of space if you'd like to join me."

Manjiro had been in the village for what felt like a meager amount and at the same time a immense amount, it was a weird thing how time seemed to effect people at the overall scale. The villagers around him went about their day either at a hurried pace or at a relaxed pace like his own but they all seemed to part around him like as if he was a rock in the river. He was calm and relaxed, not alert of course but he had long ago mastered his body and he felt that there wasn’t much to worry about within the village. After all he had broken no crimes since being here and he had gone through the proper channels to gain entry, all and all he was the model citizen for someone marked as a criminal by the world. Really gave that not everything is black and white feeling to the whole ordeal.
While he was browsing the area he noticed a café shop in the distance and as he grew closer it seemed a young man noticed him as well and called out to him, Manjiro studied the man’s face he was young not as young as Manjiro but close in age, he had reddish hair that was certainly styled so it told Manjiro the individual took care of himself. Why he called out to Manjiro? He couldn’t tell you maybe it was just mistaken identity or maybe the villagers here were just so friendly they called out to a random passerby and invites them to join them for some delectables. Not one to turn down invitations to potentially interesting interactions with a new face Manjiro smiled his smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes though the man wouldn’t be able to tell that because it was so natural and proceeded to enter the café and join the man at the table.
He waved a staff member over and ordered himself a cup of tea with a dab of honey in it and turned to his caller, “Hello Stranger,” Manjiro started in a casual and friendly tone, “I was not expecting to have anyone call out to me as such.” He continued as his tea arrived and he enjoyed the first sip. “Was it with intentions or simply an impulse?” He asked keeping his tone the same but a sliver of danger crept into the words, nothing alarming and most would take it as maybe a slight annoyance for the random call over by someone you don’t know.

Joro's smile widened as he leaned forward slightly, his interest fully captured by the stranger's presence. "Hey there! It's always nice to meet new people, that's my main reason. Although to answer your question, mostly impulse, I love meeting new people!" he began cheerfully, his tone inviting and friendly. "I'm Joro, by the way. What's your name?"
As he awaited the stranger's response, Joro couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of getting to know someone new. The café buzzed with activity around them, but in that moment, all of Joro's attention was focused on the person sitting across from him.
Once the stranger introduced himself, Joro nodded, committing the name to memory. "Nice to meet you!" he exclaimed, his smile warm and welcoming. "So, where are you from?" he inquired, genuinely interested in learning more about the person in front of him. "I've been in this village for a while now, but I love hearing about other places and cultures."
As the man began to share his story, Joro listened intently, hanging on his every word. Joro would be happy to answer questions that the man might have for him as well. The café seemed to fade into the background as the two engaged in conversation, exchanging stories and experiences. It was moments like these that reminded Joro of the beauty of human connection, the way it transcended boundaries and brought people together.
With a friendly smile, Joro leaned back in his chair, sipping his tea as he awaited the next question. "And what brings you to this village? Just passing through, or do you have some exciting plans while you're here?" he asked, eager to hear about the man's adventures and experiences.

Manjiro enjoyed the talk with this boy named Joro but he realized he had something to take care of quite quickly. "I'm sorry but I'm going to have to cut this interaction short." He said rising from the table, Stout coming out from his clothing and scampering over to Joro. "It seems my friend enjoys your company, if you wish he can stay with you." Manjiro said as he left the option open for the young man.
If he so chose to take Stout the Stoat under his care then that would be the end of the talk and Manjiro would depart if he didn't he would simply take back Stout and head out. Either way he was leaving.
[Exit]
Claims:
Giving Stout the Stoat to Joro if he wishes to have him (Will still need to do the 1k WC to "familiarize" him) if not then he will go with Manjiro.
Discarding WC.

Joro was delighted at the offer, and he happily accepted. "Oh, no worries at all. It was great talking to you, Manjiro. And of course, I'd be happy to take care of Stout while you take care of your business. He's a cute little guy." Joro replied, scratching the top of Stout's head and watching as Manjiro turned and walked away.
As Joro watched Manjiro walk away, he couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder. He had enjoyed their conversation immensely, and he couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong, I don't think he would have left Stout for no reason. Joro couldn't help but hope that he would see Manjiro again, perhaps even in another life, he never really knew of such things. Joro knew that he would remember this encounter for a long time to come, and he couldn't wait to tell his friends about the interesting man he had met.
Just as Manjiro turned the corner and disappeared, Stout scurried up onto Joro's shoulders, making him chuckle. "Hey there, little guy," Joro said, scratching behind Stout's ears. "Looks like it's just you and me for a while. What do you say we hang out and watch the world go by?" Stout chirped in response, and Joro smiled as he looked around at the bustling city.
As Joro and Stout watched the world go by, Joro couldn't help but feel a sense of calm wash over him. The city was alive with people and activity, but he and Stout were content to simply sit, watch, and drink tea. They watched as messengers zoomed by, pedestrians hurried along the sidewalks, and birds flitted from tree to tree. Joro took a deep breath of the cool, crisp air and felt the weight of the day begin to lift from his shoulders.
After Joro finished his tea, he made sure Stout had a good grip on his shoulders as he walked out of the tea shop. As they made their way through the streets, Joro pointed out some of his favorite spots unsure if the Stoat understood him, but nevertheless, he always wanted to share his home with anyone and everyone.
As they made their way towards Joro's apartment complex, he headed in and dropped Stout onto his bed. He watched as the little guy, checked his humble abode out, and he thought of how to make it a home for him as well.
"Hm, what about a hammock? So you could see out the window and maybe I can make a little tunnel out to the patio if you want to go exploring ever?" He said to the Stoat. He seemed to give a look of approval and nod. So with that, Joro began to hook up a little hammock above the big window door out to his patio, and then a small condensed tunnel onto it. As he shut off the lights in his apartment that night, Joro felt happy to have someone else in his home. He hadn't had anyone since his parents.
