Reckless Wonderland

- Da' Missions:
Mission Name: One of These Things is Not Like the Other
Rank: D
Mission Location: Universal
Challenges: N/A
Task: You have just received a note that one of the teachers at a nearby school for ninja thought it would be a great idea to upgrade their lesson on clones. They decided that instead of just teaching them the basic clone technique, they would help them learn the clone technique for their specific element. This, of course, has gone horribly wrong. So far, the main results of this lesson are: mayhem, stolen candy, many, many pranks played on the nearby townsfolk, minor explosions, children passing out due to overexertion of chakra use, and a missing house.
Your task is to track down the children, catch them if they are still active, and return them to the school. Be wary as many may try to trick you with their clones or outnumber you. You have been given a roster listing roughly a half dozen kids who are still on the loose. Please make sure to bring them back and, if you are able to, find the missing house. We think one of the kids tried to make clones out of it and something went wrong.
Word Count Requirement: 1000

Mission Name: Untimely Demise
Rank: D
Mission Location: Universal

Task:
As the mission is called, your job this time is to deliver the body of a fallen comrade to your village and then inform the family of the fallen shinobi that their loved one was lost in battle. When asked if they can see their loved one, you must tell them that the answer is no. The reason for this is the village will examine the body first, second their organs will be harvested for use in the village…and finally a clone will be made so the family can have closure. You are also to attend the entombment along with a shinobi that is specialized to give loved ones one last glimpse of their fallen family member. You are to ensure nobody gets too close to the clone as once it is buried the clone will be dissipated.
Once the mission is over you will report back to the mission board for your payment.

Task: Parenting has its ups and down and can truly be a blessing for some. It can also be a curse for others. A family has had two child prodigies in the ways of ninjutsu and have grown up somewhat spoiled due to this. Recently, the two children have begun their rebellious phase and have been expressing themselves through their ninjutsu. Sadly, the nearby residences have dealt with the bulk of this 'expression.' The parents are not trained in the ways of the ninja or jutsu and have had many tutors quit on them.
For this mission, you will be expected to meet at the family residence and to help find a safer alternative for the children to express themselves. You will also spend time engaging with the children to help focus their expression in less destructive ways. The note written below provides further information given by the parents and is completely optional for how you approach this mission.Parent's Note:Hello!Word Count Requirement: 2000
Thank you for taking your time to come help our two little sunshines in their time of need! Just so you know, they are usually wonderful children. They are just going through some... growing pains. We will have snacks ready for you and anyone else who may be coming to assist. The children love to meet new people and sometimes offer to spar with them upon first meeting. Of course, the last time they just starting sparring without saying anything...
What is important is to know that we have three rules while on our premises:- No profanity around the kids
- No training or practice after dark
- No using jutsus on the family pets

It was a quiet morning, almost looking like something out of a fairy tale. Kaimera glanced down slowly from the branch he sat upon, the abundance of leaves around him providing him with cover as eyeing the ground beneath him. It was at the brink of dawn, just after 5 o’clock in fact; the star-strewn sky was clear and had a full moon this morning, allowing the dim glow from the celestial body to be cast unhindered onto the area. Said “area” was outside the large compound of his home with widely spaced trees. Kaimera had been resting in the lower branches of a large tree, not high enough to risk injury by falling, yet not low enough for any ordinary person to reach him.
Kaimera’s eyes narrowed as he scanned the ground beneath him. As he had been lying on the branch with his eyes closed, he had heard a sound below him, in his vicinity. As he was in the woods in the early morning, he was bound to hear sounds from the nocturnal inhabitants of this woodland. However, this sound had been different compared to the rest. It was the sound of humans treading carefully yet with unsuccessful silence over the natural litter of a forest floor. Leaves, twigs, rocks, and many others were unintentionally treading on by a pair of covered human feet. Kaimera’s gaze turned in the direction of the sound. It was approaching slowly, and judging from the number of footsteps he could hear, the source of the sounds was two humans. Pulling himself onto a higher, more secluded branch, Kaimera peered through a gap in the leaves at the line of shrubbery from behind which came the approaching sounds.
"Of course, disorderly men walking too close to home." He whispered to himself as they continued past the Yakedo compound.
The sunrise from behind the mountains as light rays consume the darkness. The clear blue sky spread widely with no clouds to cover the magnificent view that the morning brought upon Kirigakure. With the change of scenery, the night guards changed with the morning guards as everyone began their morning routines. A peaceful morning was like no other, calming and tranquil Kaimera couldn't ask for a better way to get his start. He walked towards his kitchen as he was wearing his usual attire for the day. Upon arrival in his kitchen, he turned off the stove, letting the teapot calm down from its boiling point. Kaimera looked around his cabinets until he found his teacup and a bag of apple tea. He poured the water into the cup, ripping the plastic around the tea as he grabbed it by its string and began to dip it on his mug.
Kaimera was going into the village to meet at the academy. He first passed the new training grounds as the radiant sky formed overhead, with the sounds of clashing steel and fists in the background, as the training grounds were especially lively on that particular day for a reason Kaimera was unaware of. He took in the smell of an entire grassy field, like a muted version of freshly cut grass with a hint of salt thanks to the surrounding seas. It was a small piece of nature that people in the Water Village had grown accustomed to. Hardly could one walk a step in the village without seeing some lush, green plant growth. Whether they be trees, flowers, rice, grass, or that strange fungus on grandpa's foot, the rice Village certainly had no shortage of flora.
He was given another set of assignments, and he had different partners with these ones. The recurring gentle breeze kissed his face, which was usual for any space in the Land of Water. As he entered the district that homed the village’s Ninja Academy, the breeze was carried with the scent of cooked food and smelled of different dishes as the day had begun for most restaurants. The streets started to fill as people started proceeding about their days. Taking a sip of the tea he brought with him, he approached the academy where he would take a set on one of the nearby benches.
His thoughts drifted to the individuals that he has been grouped up with and the missions that they have to accomplish. For the two other genin, one was Rudra Uchiha, and the other was Jiraijin Hōzuki; however, outside their names, he didn’t have a clue who they were. Although, he supposes that will change. As for the missions, apparently, they have to apprehend children as well as help other children while also delivering news of the unexpected death of a comrade. Simple enough. Taking another drink of his tea, he sat waiting for the arrival of the two.

"Rudraaa! Get up, it's morning already" his over enthusiastic father yelled at the sleeping Uchiha. "Ya ya sure, I'll get ready" he would say with a yawn. The young Uchiha had no interest in doing missions, he wanted to head down to the training facility to begin his private training. He wanted to leave the house on the premise of doing some missions, but in reality he would be training in the facility by himself as he wanted to test out some techniques. Rudra would then walk downstairs after he washed up and got ready into his usual attire of black long sleeve tshirt, black pants and a belt to hold them in place. "You have a letter from the administration office! Looks like a bunch of missions" his father laughed maniacally.
As he reached the living room, his father would walk from the front door to the living room with the opened letter in his hand and would hand it over to Rudra. "Thank you dad, appreciate it" he would make a fake smile that was caught by his father. "Get moving!" his father would push him to the door, laughing again. As Rudra walked out of the house, he would begin reading the contents of the letter. It was a series of missions that would be completed by a team of Genin, Jiraijin and Kaimera. Rudra knew Jiraijin from his previous mission but had never interacted with Kaimera and was curious.
The Uchiha reached the meet up point, which was the academy where he spent his rookie days as a student. As he looked around, he would see a shinobi with red and white split hair sitting down on a bench sipping a drink, 15 meters away. It was a unique side as he has never seen anyone with split haired color before. Seeing the Kirigakure headband on him, he would approach him, 2 meters away and speak, "Looks like we are early for the mission. You must be Kaimera, am I right ? I'm Rudra". He introduced himself while giving a polite bow and returned back up immediately, waiting for his response.

As minutes progressed, Kaimera seemingly soaked in the sun’s bright illuminative glow while he sat peacefully on the wooden bench. His thoughts trickled into his memory of the past few days, reliving the events that had come. Were they anything of interest? No, not particularly but they were something to think about to drown out the sound of the bustling street before him. More so he wanted to think about his feelings and by feelings, he means his relationships with others. He has been so caught up on missions and work he didn’t have the time to dwell on them.
First person to come to mind was his teammate, Izu. Well, he is chuunin now so perhaps not. But still, he has only seen his once in the last few months and it wasn’t a particularly great encounter. he performed his surgery and was supposed to do another one, but he just kind of snapped. They were extremely close so some could only imagine it was rather confusing because he didn’t know what was wrong, but nonetheless, that was the last time they had spoken. Did it make him sad, though? Not really, it just irritated him. Maybe his sensei and his have something against him?
Next person was Kouji. He is quite the character; well, Kaimera that is. When he first met the Yuki descendant, the Yakedo thought he was rather stoic and didn’t exude a lot of emotions. Yet, that is not what Kaimera had received from him. He was the complete opposite of Izu. He seemed to fumble on his words, and blush quite a bit whenever the scorch user was around. It also confused Kaimera on why he did this; maybe, he can ask him whenever he sees him next. They have been on numerous missions together already, so the heterochromia-eyed genin was sure he would see him again.
Taking another drink, Kaimera's thoughts shifted from him to another, but a voice with a face to match obliterated any feelings that were going to come to the forefront. Lowering his cup and focusing his gaze, he looked at the fellow genin that stood about six feet from him. His eyes studied the individual over. White hair and black eyes, such an unusual combination but actually very aesthetically pleasing. He looked to be around the same age as Kaimera but his figure is obviously more defined.
Softening his gaze and giving a subtle, yet genuine smile he proceeded to respond. “Yes, I am Kaimera. It is a pleasure to meet you, Rudra,” he spoke before bowing his head in Rudra’s directions to show gratitude. “Well, it seems we’re just waiting on one more.”
Seconds turned into minutes; minutes turned into an hour. Through the small talk that was surely happening between the two, the prolonged wait for their third companion left a bitter taste in the Yakedo’s mouth. Perhaps he has overslept, or maybe he just forgot about the mission altogether; but whatever the case may be, the two of them still needed to get a move on so they can at least finish the quest. “It seems we’ve been stood up by our companion; how unfortunate,” Kaimera spoke with a hint of annoyance in his voice. Standing up, he stored his cup in a basic scroll before speaking to Rudra once again. “We better get a move on; we can’t wait and see if he’ll even show up.” Soon as that was said, Kaimera waved his hand in motion for the to proceed with the missions at hand.
“For our first job, we should track down these children that have been causing mayhem. Per recent reports, some of them were located at Lady Ariya’s Estate. So, I suggest we take to rooftops and get there,” he said before gracing Rudra with a smile. “So, you’re from the Uchiha Clan? How marvelous! However, I know little of what the Uchiha can do, but I assume you have harnessed the power of the Sharingan. I think that could help.” He said as he clasped his hands together, waiting for whatever response Rudra had to offer. “Alright, up we go!” Kaimera cheered as he launched himself on top of one of the nearby buildings and took off to the estate.
It was a short distance to the estate; but nonetheless, on the arrival, Kaimera activated his Kashōgan. The heterochromia eyes shifted into red irises, with a white pupil, and black border around the iris. The heightened vision took place. As he passed through the outer walls of the compound, his oculars gazed at all there is to take in here, it is the distinct smell that fills his senses first. Oh, but there's more than one. Two? No…more than a half dozen, surely. He peers about the open space here to realize that among the clumps of surrounding foliage and verdure all about, it is hardly haphazard. No, there is a marker for each scent he picks up here. And…ah, yes. Yes—the scent of a lady’s perfume is quite unmistakable. Must be the owner of this compound.
At the center of the courtyard, there is a taller mass of twisting branches and brush that towers over the rest. He steps over to it, reaches his fingers for the nearest tufts that appear brighter against the near-hueless, free hanging spears of greenery. The petals feel dense in his hand as his nails close over the clumps of blooms. He brings it to his nose and drinks the scent of pollen and nectar from their cores. “Ah—tsubaki.” he said out loud. How lovely this tree becomes beneath that burning light of day. All the warm colors of spring dappled among a cradle of boughs mottled in deep emerald.
But there is an adjacent aroma there, too, that draws him away and toward its neighbor. A different, sharper fragrance. Everything about it contrasts with the other. It is more compact—its scent thicker, its branches and foliage denser in their growths. Yes, it is unmistakable to him what the citrine floret clusters between the greenery are. Even the smallest splashes of kinmokusei are enough to evoke the image of spring that their colors herald.
“Such beauty.”
There has been so much to absorb all around this day, but there is one last note lingering in the air that ushers his steps to move along. The kids that he almost forgot about. “Rudra, have you located them?” He questioned, hoping that Rudra was near to hear.

"Yup let's wait and if the other party doesn't arrive, we move on" Rudra responded to the dual colored haired shinobi and took a seat beside him, drowning in his own thoughts. As they kept on waiting, it seemed like the other person stood them up, "Rooftops shall be the place to go, I agree" he responded back with a smile. "That's right, I'm from the Uchiha Clan. I'm still new to my Sharingan but yes, I'll do my best" he smiled and stood up and began walking alongside Kaimera to the estate.
On their arrival, Rudra noticed the change in Kaimera's chakra, and as he looked at his eyes, he could see that it was red in color with a different pattern. The Uchiha knew that it wasn't a Sharingan but some other kind of Dojutsu. While Kaimera began analyzing the environment with his ocular power, Rudra posed a question, "Those are not Sharingan but I'm intrigued. What kind of visual prowess is that?" he asked curiously, as the shinobi was drinking nectar from a nearby source.
Rudra wasn't sure why he was doing such, but Kaimera felt like an interesting character. So far he has never met anyone doing any such stuff before. Not wanting to waste time, the Uchiha activated his Sharingan and searched the area for the kids and thanks to his visual prowess, he can see about 5 childrens running amok inside the building and another 5 clones that were doing the same. He understood that each child had used the clone technique and was creating chaos.
"From what I can see, there are five children, each with their own clones creating chaos. The clones aren't stable and with a good hit they would vanish, the main thing is to capture the kids so we can return them to the school" he paused. "Due to their low chakra, three of the kids will be passing out soon, so we will be left to capture the other 2 who are still very active. Let's leave out the three, each of us shall capture one of the kids and bring them back here, if required we can gently knock them out, without hitting their vital points. In a few mins of the capture, the other three will pass out automatically, all we have to do is carry them back to the school. What do you say?" he asked his partner.

Re: Reckless Wonderland
Thu Apr 04, 2024 9:12 pm
Swirling back in time to a conversation held moments after the arrival of Ariya’s Estate. Rudra, the uniquely characteristic individual, had expressed his curiosity about Kaimera’s bloodline limit known as the Kashōgan. Turning his focus from the sweet relieving properties of the nectar, his gazing eyes peered at the questioning Uchiha. “Oh, my Kashōgan. It is one of the kekkei genkai I inherited. While it is not as marvelous as the Sharingan from the Uchiha Clan, it does make do. I can see heat signatures on the infrared spectrum, even through solid objects. The range I can see up to is between fifty to seventy meters. So, it is quite helpful in tracking scenarios I would say,” Kaimera noted as maneuvered closer to Rudra.
Perhaps Kaimera was too distracted by the tsubaki, or perhaps he was just becoming lazy due to the life-threatening missions he has been on; but for whatever reason, he completely missed the children running rampant inside the main building. Maybe he should have taken more time to let his senses and body heal from those hazardous moments that led up till now, but he cannot dwell on that because he still needs to focus on the mission at hand. Absorbing every word that Rudra has offered, he gave a subtle nod while speaking, “yes, that sounds like an excellent plan. I’m glad to have been partnered with you this time,” Kaimera gleamed as his hands clasped together innocently. “Let’s get going.”
Quickly moving towards the building, the first set of doors he reached are heavy and hinged. He quietly pushes through them and shuts them behind him as he slips inside, wondering if Rudra would follow him or gain entry somewhere else. Immediately, he notes just how cold this place is. It was almost as if no one had been here for some time and a ceromancy curse had etched its way inside these walls. No wonder the children use this place as some sort of rendezvous after committing those petty crimes.
And it strikes him, then, how odd this is. How odd everything about this place is. It seems it had suffered a century of neglect, and its paper windows remain intact. This place is bereft of warmth or any light but that of the sun's that might seep through beyond its walls. And yet it seems, also, absent of any manner of creatures besides the faint shuffling of feet and the voices from where those kids are located. There are no cobwebs about. No rot, no ruin. A bit of dust, though, perhaps. There aren't signs of any upkeep. But so, too, are there no signs of decay.
In this first hall and the few initial alcoves, he silently breezes through, there are hardly any assets to be seen. No furniture, other than perhaps a table or two. Not a single accoutrement in sight giving any indication of human habitation. And he doubts the lack of such things is due to plunderers. Rarely do their likes leave a place so pristine in their wake. Now he notes the eccentricity of this space. It isn't that it simply feels otherworldly, but it looks just as unfamiliar. In ways that stepping through the world of one's dreams might feel. Or as one's mind envisions the fantasies projected through the words of any storybook or spoken tale. The devil lurking in the details.
But there is nothing as fantastical as such here. Nothing so wondrous in its enchantment. He wonders if the children did this. No, they couldn’t have, could they? Those questions he knows that they will be answered in due to time, he just needed to get those kids back to the academy.
Walking forth, he noticed the tall, rounded beams of this main hall reach so high above as his eyes follow them upward toward the ceiling. It is too dim to discern, but he glimpses the geometric silhouette of some decorative latticing carved into the woodwork overhead. He traces their crisscrosses in his sights as he paces along, forward, and back down the walls to then scan the perimeter. Observing more extensive fire damage to the right, he drifts instead across the stone-tiled steps the opposite way, proceeding on through the corridor at the hall's end.
On the opposite side of that door, one of the children that still had a plentiful amount of chakra lurked with his clone. He needs to be quick, vigilant, and cautious; all in the same sense. He could not cause too much harm to the child, but probably still needs to use enough force to render them unconscious. Giving a quiet sigh, he quickly moved to the door.
With a violently crushing kick, the door slammed open with such force it almost ripped from their hinges. Moving inside, he could see the look on the ordinary boy’s and the clone’s face. Confusion, horror, and worry were grimaced as they looked upon the heterochromia boy. “It’s time for you to return to the academy.” Kaimera shouted as he took out one of his senbon that had been dipped into a paralysis poison and threw the weapon with pin-point accuracy at the academy student’s shoulder; free from hitting any vital arteries or organs. Once lodged, a shriek could be heard ringing out through the compound as the boy immediately succumbed to the ground. The clone that accompanied the boy seemingly evaporated into thin air.
“Welp, that was easy enough. Let’s hope Rudra had no trouble getting the other one,” Kaimera smiled as he formed the hand seals: Tiger - Horse - Ram - Clone seal, and a perfect replica of himself came into existence. “Alright, take him back to the academy. I’ll see what Rudra is doing, and where those other three are.” Kaimera spoke, while the other just simply nodded and gathered up the crumbled student and took off into the direction of the academy. Turning his focus towards the other rooms, he proceeded to take off in the direction of where Rudra would be.

The white haired Uchiha had never heard of the Kashogan before that could detect heat signatures at a high level even with obstacles. The Uchiha was amazed by the prowess, especially at its range that can go up to seventy meters. "That's absolutely cool" Rudra smiled. The Uchiha wanting to create an organization for peace meant that he needed individuals with unique powers and Kaimera was a potential candidate, but as they aren't close yet and since he doesn't know much about his past, Rudra kept an eye on him.
His partner agreed with the plan and bolted towards the building, while Rudra ran up the building using his Surface Walking Technique. He reached the second floor window and opened for entry. When he opened, he could feel a cold breeze from within, which was unexpected. The place felt like it wasn't maintained for many years, looking extremely abandoned. He began scouting the area quietly with his Sharingan and detected two chakra signatures coming from a nearby room.
Rudra was just outside the door of the room, waiting for an opportunity to sprint in for a surprise hit on the back of the neck in order to knock out the kid who was creating a ruckus. The Uchiha slowly slid the door open, just enough for his body to go in. Within a few seconds, the Uchiha sprinted right behind the kid and hit the back of his neck and knocked him out. The clone instantly vanished with the owner of the technique being unconscious. He carried the kid on his right shoulder, walking down the stairs.
As he reached the first floor, he could see a clone of Kaimera helping with bringing the kids back to the academy. "Looks like we completed this mission" he said, passing the unconscious kid to the clone, since Rudra has not learnt the Shadow Clone Technique. "Shall we move on to the next mission ?" he waited for Kaimera to answer.
