It hadn’t been long since Seikatsu had entered the Land of Moon, his mind though had only one track - to become stronger. He remembered what Mr. Eiji had told him about shinobi and that most of them start out at what they call the Ninja Academy. Seikatsu thought it sounded lame, but he had no reason to doubt Mr. Eiji’s knowledge of shinobi. Knowing all of this, Seikatsu’s first visit in Tsukigakure was to the academy, attempting to find out the process of becoming a ninja. When he had arrived and was able to speak with someone, he was told that he needed to undergo a few tests, the first of which would be at the Tsukiko Institute of Medicine.
”Institute of Medicine - sounds like I’ll be seeing a doctor for the first time in my life.”
The young Seikatsu was a little nervous about the encounter - he didn’t quite understand what all was going to be done or if there would be pain involved in any way. He ushered himself out of the academy and asked for some directions to the Tsukiko Institute of Medicine - which were pretty easy to follow, even for someone who had never really been in this village. The wind grabbed his long hair - allowing it to flow to the left side of his face and dangling each of his earrings. His sandals clicked and clacked against the ground as his feet moved throughout the streets, not really moving at any particular pace. Seikatsu’s blue eyes wandered, observing the areas of which he would pass as he trekked towards the institute.
Once he had landed in front of the building - he stopped for a bit. Looking around to see if there was anyone else or not. ”What am I supposed to expect with this? A series of tests but I’m not sure exactly how this works…” The boys confusion was at a level that it hadn’t been at since before he had met Mr. Eiji. This isn’t something he expected when he planned on joining Tsukigakure and becoming a shinobi. ”I suppose it makes sense for them to want to understand who folks are coming into the village - since they really have no idea of who they are or what they are capable of.”
As the last thoughts slipped through his mind, Seikatsu allowed a deep breath in through his nose and then slowly exhaled from his lips as he reached out his long arm. He would lean in and push the door open, gently, hoping not to cause any unwanted commotion upon his entry to the institute. A slight gust of wind would enter at an identical time, keeping the door from closing immediately. The boy's lonely eyes looked around, spotting someone that he presumed was a doctor of some sort - not that he really knew what he was looking for. Seikatsu watched as they strolled around an enclosure and then popped out of a doorway that was diagonally in front of him to the right.
”Please right this way.” The person’s arm would wave him over, smiling gently to try and help ease the little bit of tension that had clouded over Seikatsu. As the boy took his first steps, towards the opened door, he felt something behind him and shifted his head and eyes in that direction. It didn’t seem to be anything that really mattered to him at this point and so he turned his head back to where he was walking and entered. His blue eyes straight ahead - not turning to greet the person that had waved him on through or anything. Such was the nature and personality of
Seikatsu.
As he entered the room - Seikatsu couldn’t help but let his eyes wander aimlessly, attempting to take in all that he sees. Stemming mostly from a place of uncomfortableness or slight panic, the boy decided he needed to calm down and gently made his way to the bed/table display in the middle of the room. Truthfully, Seikatsu couldn’t make out if it was a table or bed, but it had a white piece of paper folded over it and that’s where the person asked him to go.
”I’m one of the doctors at the Tsukiko Institute of Medicine - it’s nice to meet you. I presume you’re here to try and become a shinobi, correct? If you don’t mind me asking - what’s your name?”
Seikatsu allowed the doctor to get out all she wanted to say before answering the question that was asked. As he took in a small breath and then exhaled gently, the words escaped his lips - not before a few moments had already gone by though. ”Seikatsu - and your presumption is correct.”
That’s all he wished to share with the doctor for now though - Seikatsu really didn’t plan on getting into his life story as soon as he had walked into the village. As the moments passed, the doctor had begun her tests and general welfare check-up. This included things like height, weight, temperature, blood pressure and heart-rate. All of which seemed to be OKAY… though the doctor felt as though Seikatsu might be a little malnourished - hard to say that though without knowing his history or doing a much deeper check up.
”Thank you for letting me do all the necessary checks and perform a physical - all things seem to be in order Mr. Seikatsu. The next thing you’ll need to do is head back towards the academy and I believe they have a test for you to take. Good luck, Mr. Seikatsu!”
Seikatsu wasn’t in the Tsukiko Institute of medicine very long - at most maybe thirty minutes total and all that was necessary was just some general physician testing to check wellness. As he heard the words good luck come from the doctor - all he could do was nod his head in appreciation before escaping and heading back to the academy, from where he just came.
”To be honest - this going back and forth is a little annoying…”
He exhaled a deep sigh as he traversed the same path he had just taken - maybe this time he’d see something interesting happen on his way. Probably not.
