Pop to the shop

Mission:

His day had been quiet so far but it has been an early start to the day and it was only now approaching mid morning as he sat behind the counter of a shop he did not own wearing and apron and uniform that were both several sizes to big. Hibiki had taken on the mission out of curiosity and in part as a favour to his grandfather. The old couple that owned and usually ran the shop had made plans for their 60th anniversary ( a mind bogglingly large amount of time for Hibiki to conceptualise) and so were going on a holiday with the whole family. At the last minute on of the assistants that had agreed to cover person who had agreed to look after the shop had been called away on an emergency mission and so Hibiki had agreed to help out.

The morning had been more interesting as he had been told to place items on shelves and rotate any fresh stock to ensure the older dates were at the front and so more likely to be sold off. Hibiki had started by using puppets and had been quickly admonished, advised that the regular customers might find their presence uncomfortable. Hibiki could not say for certain but he had a distinct feeling that it was his boss for the day who did not like the puppets though he could not imagine why. Hibiki found their clicking mechanisms to be rather pleasant and a sure sign they were working smoothly. The mission was to work as an assistant however so Hibiki knew he had to follow the rules given and simply redoubled his efforts in his work.

Once the initial rush of work had been completed Hibiki was mostly relegated to  sitting behind the counter and greeting customers whilst looking around the store and day dreaming about making puppets or thinking about the autopsy he had carried out a few nights prior. It had been nothing to out of the ordinary but Hibiki had a habit of running through the reports in his head, checking for anything he might have missed.

Whilst he dwelled on this he spotted a familiar face enter the store, a smile popped up on his face as he hopped off the stool and welcomed the customer who was known to him. “Welcome valued customer, is there anything I can help you with today?” Hibiki completed the introduction with a little bow.

Taking care of daily affairs, Hikari had taken the day off for the most part. There was an old tea shop that had expanded and grown over the decade she had gone there as a young kid. She was happy to see the shop thrive but she also knew the shop owners were going through a difficult time with handling the development of the village she knew they were going to celebrate a long time together soon enough. Thus she decided to spend some of her accrued wealth at their shop and was surprised to see a young shinobi standing behind the counter. With a smile on her face with a nod of recognition, Hikari gave an answer to the young assistant, "I'm looking for some tea supplies, perhaps you can help me towards the right section?" She asked as she was aware that as much as the store originally was a Tea shop, it had grown into a goods and general store. She was happy to see how the young man would fill the uniform as it was clear that Hibiki was in a slightly rough spot in the consumer sector of business when his family's was not this.
