Entry into Tsuki

The journey through the jungle was surprisingly relaxing, no issues beyond it taking weirdly long to get through it. Merlin assumed it was probably a similar defense that Sakuragakure once had with its cherry blossoms but he did not mind the travel. After all he had gotten plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. Now he was upon the gates of the Moon village and with his arrival he joined the those who were looking for entry. He would give what information was required and hope for a smooth transition.

As usual, at the beginning of her shift, Anya performed the correct hand seals for the Minds Eye technique and kept it up throughout her day. Like the other guards, she was dressed in dark clothing, though the attire itself looked to be altered slightly version of the uniform. A tight, black tank top snuggly fit her torso and was cut short to expose her midriff. A pair of black cargo shorts could be seen around her waist and stopping roughly halfway down her thigh. Tightly laced cargo boots covered her feet and a silver necklace with a small rabbit charm rested gently on her chest. Her full black attire along with her raven-like hair contrasted well against her nearly porcelain skin.

Faces passed as she helped various people gain entry into the village and thankfully things seemed to go rather easily. She’d ensure to ask each the appropriate question and inspect their chakra carefully, taking note of any who would be considered concerning. As a silver-haired man approached her she’d briefly look over his chakra before offering a welcoming smile. She’d take note of his affinity for Ninjutsu, though she considered the procedure as normal. With a warm, inviting tone she’d speak up as she bowed slightly.

”Welcome to Tsukigakure, my name is Anya and I’ll be helping you get into the village. Can I have your name, along with any kind of identification you may have on you?”

She’d pause, giving him a moment to respond. If he had none, she’d inform him that he simply needed to fill out some paperwork before being allowed in. However, if he handed something over to her she’d inspect it carefully, ensuring that the documents weren’t fake.

34 - Minds Eye of Kagura

It was Merlin’s turn to present whatever the gate guard needed who turned out to be a a woman with black hair, purple-ish eyes, a black tank top and cargo shorts with boots. She looked at him and offered a slight bow before she started talking, welcoming him to Tsukigakure and introducing herself as Anya asking for simple identification.

Merlin had a bittersweet moment when he reached into his pouch to produce the needed identification as he had his prior Vagabond paperwork from before he had became a Sakuragakure Shinobi and his Village leader paperwork. Merlin offered his Vagabond identification to the woman. He gave a slight bow back and a smile,

“Thank you for the welcome, I am Merlin Shinto. I hail from the Land of Forest and have traveled here after I heard that a new village had laid a foundation here on this island. I hoped to visit as a guest and potentially join depending on your village’s rules for such a thing”

Merlin said politely and calmly. He had nothing to hide from the woman doing her job, He was not a troublemaker or worried about his background causing any troubles.

Happy to see her request was well received, she’d take his ID and listen intently to his words. Not detecting a lie, she’d happily note down his information on a clipboard she had in her hands and nod as he spoke. Once finished, she’d hand him back his things with a smile and speak up.

”Well Merlin, we’ll be more than happy to have you however you wish to visit! Many come to visit but find themselves falling in love with the place but don’t feel pressured to stay if you don’t click. If you do wish to join, I suggest you speak with Lady Tsukiko at the Kage Tower. She’ll be able to give you further instructions, and I’m sure she’d love to meet up with a fellow vagabond”

If he presented her with any questions, she’d answer them honestly and would give him a few suggestions on places to visit. Though needing to attend to the others in line, she would motion for him to walk in as she said her goodbyes.

”I hope you enjoy your stay! Should you need anything, feel free to ask!”

Offering him a bow as he walked away, Anya would turn her attention back to the others in line and start interviewing the next person.
