A Raven, A Fish, and a Fist

The height of Hiyu Nemui is undesirable for most growing boys, falling short of his peers by more than a minor margin. Despite this abnormality nobody could guess if it bothers him or not, since he's almost always smiling with a perfect set of teeth that are maintained religiously. On the other hand, perhaps neither of these things would be perceived before his excessively long light golden blonde hair which measures down to his knees. This too is kept clean and mostly straight through rigorous effort. Something that may go unnoticed whether due to his stature, his bright smile or his view obscuring hair are the pair of friendly navy blue eyes with delicate golden blonde eyelashes, only slightly darker in tone than his hair. Nemui's skin is fair and smooth as he exfoliates regularly during his many bathing sessions throughout the week.

Onto more mundane matters; the clothing he wears is always clean but far from impressive in its design. Due to growing up on an island with scarce reason to visit the main village hub, he learned from his parents and the island inhabitants to repair clothing until it's unsalvageable before buying anything new. As such his clothes are always a patchwork of haphazardly thrown together fabrics with mismatched colours and no regard for style. The same cannot be said for Nemui's boots which were made with locally produced brown leather by an island local that took great pride in their work. Each boot was meticulously crafted to ensure their durability for his long journey and he continues to polish them daily, enjoying the process as they remind him of home. One could only guess that Nemui takes pride in his appearance with the amount of effort he evidently puts in, disregarding his lacking knowledge of fashion.

Nemui is soft-spoken and energetic, spending most of his time studying or working towards improving his skills. He's not very well adjusted to living in Kirigakure after having grown up in a fairly isolated fishing hamlet. One thing he did develop though is an imagination which he uses to its fullest extent as a ninja; thinking up ways he could improve or techniques he may create in the future are two of his favourite activities. Approaching new people and introducing himself are both difficult things for Nemui to do without seeming afraid or shy. Even though he finds it hard to overcome the barriers of getting to know people he still makes an effort to do so. For anybody that manages to break through Nemui's barriers and become what one may call a friend, he acts far less shy within their company even if there's also unfamiliar faces present.

The easiest way to break through his barriers is to offer training or sparring, whether it's a superior or one of his peers he's always seeking to improve and becomes noticeably more confident in these scenarios. Despite being a ninja he doesn't feel comfortable with hurting others, whether they're enemies or not. What duty demands though he will see through regardless of his feelings unless he's expected to do something truly heinous. Nemui doesn't judge others for having different opinions from himself though, believing that his fairly isolated lifestyle until now is the reason he doesn't see eye-to-eye with many other Kirigakure inhabitants. Being in possession of a bloodline is both a blessing and a curse; he understands the risks posed towards him being vocal about it and always introduces himself simply as "Nemui."
