Fist to fist. Nothing more simple. (Amauri Kotei)
Thu Feb 27, 2020 4:11 pm
Snow was finding himself in the middle of his two personalities. The sun shiny passive loving Snow was gone. But he was at least beginning to gain a control of his freak outs. The day that he attacked his own comrade, being Asahi, he swore that he would not allow his mind to play the same tricks on him again. He was going to take control of his own mind, even if that meant to be in a constant state of anxiety or anger. He found himself in the training grounds, doing his best to try and meditate like he did before. It always seemed to do the trick when it came to taking away his panic and stress in his heart, allowing him to calm down. But lately the only thing that would work for him, was fighting.
He gave up on meditating and decided to instead skulk about the training grounds, hoping he would find someone that would be willing to fight with him. Hoping especially that they would give him a harder challenge than Kamari or anyone that he had went up against in hand to hand combat, but only time would tell.

Akarui had been feeling pretty good lately, he had made progress in a number of areas that he had been hoping to improve. He was no where near done though, it was only the beginning! He was in rather good shape ability wise. The biggest problem he had at the moment was he was rusty with his fighting! This had to stop. He needed to spar more to rebuild his lost combat reflexes and the best way to do so was to find someone else training to spar with him if they were interested. With that thought in mind, he made his way to the training grounds again. He training gear already on since he had started the day with his morning 10km Jog as well as exercise atop the Hokage face monument. The other thing he didnt bring was his Katana. Akarui was unsure if he wanted to pursue his branch clans speciality of weaponry or follow his interest in Ninjutsu. He still intended to train his skills in weaponry to a basic level at least. More skills always come in handy, he just never knew when he would need them.
Lost in thought, Akarui arrived at the training fields without realizing it. Upon waking up so to speak, he decided to go find someone interested in sparring. Akarui had come across 2 people whom he asked if they were up for sparring but sadly they were disinterested. Not willing to give up, Akarui saw somebody seemingly meditating on a rock at the edge of the field before getting up to pace.
‘Perhaps they could use a sparring partner? Third times the charm’ Akarui thought to himself as he approached the pacing Shinobi. Getting close he called out politely, “Excuse me, I couldn’t help but notice you on the other end of the field pacing. I wondered if you could use a sparring partner? I myself am in need of such a thing. So, what say you? Let’s spar a few rounds.” Eagerness thick in his eyes, Akarui looked at the fellow Shinobi waiting for a response.

As Snow was just finishing up meditating, he was thinking to himself about the multiple sparring partners that he had to that point, and he was disappointed. He wanted a real challenge. He wanted to find someone that would truly push him passed his current heights, but so far no one was able to do that for him. The spar with Kamari was not even a cake walk, and the only one to interest him so far was Asahi, but time would only tell if he was going to be able to push Snow anywhere at all. Snow stood to his feet and he began looking side to side to see if he would find anyone of interest to him.
To his surprise he had someone walking directly up to him, a shorter fellow with long black hair on the top of his head, but shaved head on the sides of his skull. Snow hopped down from the stone that he was upon and heard the man's voice for the first time. He asked Snow if he would be up for a spar. For a moment, he would wonder what a coincidence. But then he did remember that he was in the training grounds. He looked the boy up and down, and he shrugged his shoulders. "Sure. I'd be okay with that. Hand to hand, no jutsu or chakra usage. I like to see how quickly my comrades think before getting to serious with my sparring. What say you?" Snow would wait for a response.
If accepted, he would get into his fighting stance and wait for his opponent to throw the first punch.

At the urging of Akarui who called out, the fellow Shinobi hopped down from the rock he was meditating on to look at Akarui up and down with a slight bit of surprise flashing across his eyes before shrugging and answering the question Akarui posed to him though with a stipulation of his own.
No Jutsu or chakra, sounded like a good old fashioned street fight if you asked Akarui which was perfectly okay in his books. They would test each others physical conditions, no tricks or deceit, pure fist against fist. Akarui looked up a bit at the boys eyes for a moment before agreeing with a sharp nod and a grin on his face.
“No Jutsu or chakra, got it. That’s acceptable to me. Then, let’s spar without delay!” Laughing, Akarui dropped into a combat stance while his sparring partner did the same. A split second passed before Akarui realized that his sparring partner was waiting for him to strike first which raised Akarui’s caution just a little.
“Excuse me for being impolite then!” He laughed again as he dashed toward his sparring partner before attempting to do a smooth front step kick to the chest of the fellow Shinobi. If it lands, Akarui’s goal was to knock back the Shinobi if he doesn’t block it ready for Akarui to rush him again but also leaving him open for a counter if dodged.

Snow's new opponent would drop into a fighting stance. Snow, as was his usual when he would be in spars with others, he would allow them the first move. He figured this gave the opponent the opportunity to get the drop on Snow with something that he wouldn't be expecting. Unfortunately for Snow, that was not the case with this opponent. A simple front step kick coming for his knee, most likely with the goal of knocking Snow backwards to set up a follow up attack to take advantage of the newly unbalanced stance that Snow would be in.
Usually, his first move would be more passive, probably to sidestep the shot and drag the leg down into a leg lock of sorts. But that was, unfortunately for his new sparring opponent, the old Snow. The new Snow had different ideas, different reactions in store for the attack. While there truly wasn't anything wrong with the attack being used or how it was executed. Snow was just becoming more bothered by the his own existence, so he figured that if he had to be in pain on a day to day basis, so would everyone else.
Moments before the landing of the step kick to Snow's knee, Snow would quickly side step the kick just as his leg was about to extend. In the same fluid motion, Snow would thrust an elbow directly into the jaw of the opponent. Adding to the combination, he would bring his right fist directly into his opponent's throat. Should these attacks hit, the sparring opponent would most likely incapacitate his opponent, even if only for a little bit.

Akarui hadn’t fought for a while so he didn’t have any strategy in mind for this fight. He just wanted it to be pure instinct that drove him forward. He had always relished a good fight especially a street brawl like they were now doing. Without much thought to the repercussions, Akarui recklessly charged towards the fellow Shinobi at a fast pace trying to use his momentum he picked up in his kick to the man in front of him. Lifting the leg in a stomp motion, Akarui kicked at the Shinobi’s knees.
Unfortunately, the Shinobi was faster and sidestepped the kick from Akarui just as his leg kicked out. Missing the kick, Akarui’s leg came down on thin air. Eyes wide, Akarui saw the elbow thrust out at his jaw at high speeds. Using the momentum of the missed kick Akarui preformed, he twisted the legged he stood on and let his weight follow the momentum of his kick allowing the elbow to miss it’s target but still brush his cheek leaving a graze while bringing his arms up to protect his face in a crossguard from the attack that undoubtedly would follow given his disadvantageous situation and the ruthlessness of the first attack.
Sure enough, a second punch was coming straight for his throat! ‘How savage!’ was all Akarui had time to think as the punch would strike his arms. If they landed, Akarui would twist the guard and grab the forearm of his fellow Shinobi and use the rest of his momentum in falling to judo throw them. If it doesn’t connect, Akarui would fall and roll away to a low combat stance again.

The fights that he had been a part of lately seemed awfully repetitive, almost like he was fighting the same person again and again. Seemed like most people reacted to the things he would perform in the same way. Maybe it was his fault, maybe it was the academy for not teaching others how to fight. He didn't know for sure, but he did know that he had yet been impressed by this foe. Snow did know that this was only the beginning of the spar, but he also knew that you could tell a lot about a fighter based on their first move. This fighter was like most others, very defensive. He wished that one day he would find a fighter that was just as offensive and as aggressive as he was, but it seemed that was only a dream for now.
Snow only barely missed the elbow, the reaction time on this guy was decent to be sure, but the only issue he had was very similar to the others that he had fought. "You leave yourself so open..." Snow would think to himself. The moment the weight would shift from his hind leg to his front leg, Snow would sweep the leg while canceling his planned follow up punch. There was little to no point in punching ones arms in the form to block.
While sweeping that leg to put his opponent on the floor, Snow would place his boot onto his throat. Should Snow find his opponent in this situation, he would ask him if he knew exactly what he did wrong. While he was very indifferent to much of the world at this point, he still wanted to groom the ninjas in Konoha to become more ruthless, and more competent fighters. This one was going to be no exception to his newfound training style.
Should the sweep miss its mark and his opponent would be able to counter it. Snow would be ready to react to that as well.

Most sparring matches Akarui had participated in had been rather friendly with non lethal force used against each other so the unprovoked brutality of this Shinobi’s attacks caught Akarui rather by surprise. A cold gaze flashed across Akarui’s eyes as he saw the punch coming pulled back and he continued to fall and rolled away as a leg sweep struck out where his legs had been moments before followed by a stomp that narrowly missed his throat as he rolled. His cold gaze hardening, he thought, ‘Since you want to play that way, An Eye for and Eye!’
Coming out of the roll crouched on his feet, he would spun performing a low leg sweep at the leg that tried to stomp on his throat. ‘Not so easy!’ After sweeping the leg or not, Akarui would spring up using his crouched leg like a coiled spring to plant a back elbow into the face of the ruthless Shinobi as a half distraction following a ruthless hidden behind his body strike to the gut in an all out offensive that would double over and stumble the Shinobi if landed.
Had Jutsu been allowed, Akarui would have used his Nukite spear hand technique to stab the mid section resulting in a serious wound on his opponent but that wasn’t the case this time. Today was just a brawl and Akarui always matched what he got in kind if he could and worse if possible. He knew to be ruthless when necessary. He just didn’t feel that against a fellow Leaf Shinobi was necessary but if they were, he would be too.

The aggression that Snow showed was for the better of his opponent. No opposition would ever show them kindness, so why should he? The stomp onto the opponent’s neck missed, but only barely. He would roll out of the way, which Snow would lunge forward with his feet first, dodging the low kick so just before his opponent would be able to deliver his attack, but just as he would launch up to deliver it, Snows feet would connect with the opponent’s torso. Should this connect, it would send the opponent backwards on to his back.

Akarui’s leg sweep was ineffective in attempts to stop the fellow Shinobi’s advance as he had just jumped that leg sweep much like one would jump a skipping rope. Already in motion and committed to his assault, Akarui sprang up off the leg his was pivoting on to execute his attack with his elbow aimed at his opponents face with a punch aimed at his stomach. That was his intention anyway but his opponent, the fellow Shinobi, wouldn’t let such a thing happen. As Akarui spun in the air to face him bringing up his hands only to meet a boot planted into his chest from his opponent which stopped and reversed Akarui’s momentum within a split second.
The impact made Akarui’s eyes bulge as his momentum reversed and he shoot backwards sliding on his back leaving a 2 meter scar on the ground before flipping backward to land in a crouching position facing his opponent again. Wiping the boot print off his shirt, Akarui quickly thought about the opening salvo of the fight. Since the beginning, Akarui found he was at a disadvantage during the exchanges. Although he made the first move, he underestimated his opponents ruthlessness and paid the price during the confrontation between them which ended with him being kicked across the field. Akarui respected his opponent for that rather than feeling hurt. It was Akarui’s own fault for ending up in this situation.
Akarui was determined not to make the same mistake twice so he waited to see what his opponent would do next while his fell back into a battle stance. He had to play this smart or he would get injured again by this ruthless opponent. He never took his eyes off him for a moment preparing to react to whatever came his way.
