Backstory: This technique is considered to be the pinnacle of all Yamanaka Hiden techniques. Unlike with the technique that it is based on, the user is able to exert their influence on multiple bodies at once while retaining their consciousness. The disadvantage of having to take the same damages inflicted on the target during the time of their possession is also lifted.

What it does: The user converts a fragment of their mind into a sensory field of intangible energy. This technique can be casted in one of two ways: The user can direct the sensory field forward in a cylindrical area of effect that expands at jutsu speed until it reaches a maximum width of 25/50 meters and a maximum length of 25/50 meters. Alternatively, the user can make the area of effect expand outwards from 1 inch in front of them in all directions up to a maximum radius of 15/30 meters. The shape does not follow the user, is selected at the time of activation and cannot be changed until the next time this technique is used.

Characters moving through this sensory field must pass a vigor check. Those with a vigor stat lower than the technique's power lack the will to resist its passive effects, allowing the user to stealthily exert strong influence over their emotions. The user can impose any feeling such as fear, anger, or grief, though they cannot directly control the target's actions. Affected targets are caught off guard and are unable to control their emotions while any part of their body is within the field, unless their vigor matches or exceeds the technique's power. As a result, characters within this field cannot benefit from any of their masteries while inside the area of effect. However, this suppression lasts for a maximum of 2 posts, regardless of how long the target stays in the field. If they leave the field, the effect ends immediately.

At any point while this technique is active, the user may choose to debuff one character within range. A stat check is not required to apply this debuff. A debuff of -50/70 points can be applied to any two of this character's stat fields for 2/3 posts once applied. Should the debuffed character have a vigor stat lesser than the power of this technique before calculating any deductions from the debuff, their ability to use their masteries will be restricted as described above. Applying a debuff immediately places Mind Body Disturbance Technique on cooldown.

This technique can only clash with other intangible techniques. Appropriate Kanjutsu techniques with a power equal to or greater than the power of this technique can be used to nullify its effects although the debuff will persist once applied.
