Menma (WIP)

   Height: 145 cm
   Weight: 40 kg
   Appearance: Menma has medium spiky and non-styled black hair, this dark frame to his face makes his blue eyes seem that much more vibrant to someone looking from the outside in. Though why is not known, he has 6 striking lines across his face that appear as though he has whiskers though he doesn't. As you travel down observing the young mans body, you begin to see he has a very small frame though fitting for someone of his small stature. For his attire itself, Menma generally wears a fitted sleeveless top though he is known to go around shirtless at times. His hands are covered by black half finger gloves that stretch up to his elbows, around these gloves are red leather bands that help to keep the gloves tight against his arms. Continuing down his body it can be seen that he wears basic black shinobi pants, ending with black shinobi sandals that have red straps securing them to his feet and shins.

   Personality: Menma as a child was very happy, striving to be the best he could and bring honor to his family name 'Uzumaki'. He strove to be a shinobi of legend, his closest bond was his father Sakumo Uzumaki a great Jonin of Kirigakure. However, after his father's death on a high ranking mission, Menma began to turn inward towards himself. After this he severed many bonds he began making, becoming very independent no longer showing his true emotions to those around him. Occasionally however, Menma does show some arrogance as he becomes more and more confident in his abilities. If anyone was able to crack the barrier he placed around his emotions they would find that he is still a calm and collected child, still clinging to the values his father instilled in him; "Your Village, Your Comrades, Only your strength can save them. Bare the strength of the Uzumaki and carry them to salvation."
   Likes:
* Swords - Menma's father carried a great katana, a weapon he often sharpened and would admire as it seemed to be a part of his father.
* Sushi - Menma growing up in Kirigakure always had access to the bounty of the ocean, he developed a taste for sushi and it has become his favorite meal.
* Training - Menma was instilled with the value of training, to grow and find the full potential granted by the Uzumaki bloodline.
   Dislikes:
* Monkeys - While visiting a hot spring with his father as a young child, Menma was attacked by a baboon and well now he hates them.
* Snakes - Fairly similar to the above, however Menma nearly died as a child from a venomous snake in the waters of Kirigakure.
* Kale - It's a gross leaf, enough said... Menma agrees...

   History:
Born the only child of Sakumo and Mei Uzumaki, Menma Uzumaki was raised in the shrouding mist of Kirigakure. His mother Mei died a few days after his birth, turns out giving life to her son drained her own life beyond recovery. Leaving Sakumo to parent alone, Menma spent a lot of time alone as Sakumo would go out on many missions through his early childhood. However, when Sakumo was around he treated Menma like he was the most important person in the world, they fished together, trained together, they were inseparable as they grew together. Things changed one night, Menma had reached the age of 6 when the Jonin arrived carrying nothing but his father's headband. His death devastated Menma, so he carried on training and working to fulfill his father's dream "To put the Uzumaki clan in the history of Kirigakure". Do to an agreement with his father, he didn't join the academy until reaching the age of 7.

   Roleplay Sample:
It was dark, damp, and Menma could smell the mold of the building. The others were still unconscious as he looked around the room trying to remember what happened last, the lump on the back of his skull was a pretty good reminder. Menma had just left his home, the door barely closed behind him when the shadow swallowed him whole. He had been taken like the other children of the village, 'they must figure an orphaned child is an easy target' Menma thought to himself as he began taking in his surroundings. The walls were fairly tall at least four feet over his head with only one small window on the northern wall, it appeared to be broken with these shattered daggers laying amongst the children's motionless bodies.

A few moments passed and a kid he knew began to wake up, rubbing the knot on his head similarly to how Menma had responded when he awoke. "Hey, Do you remember anything?" the tears began to well up in the child's eyes, seems he wouldn't be any use for information. Menma began to put what his father taught him to use, listening to every sound, watching for shadows to pass under the door on the south wall. Only the flicker of a flame could really be seen beneath the door, Menma could tell it was either a candle or a lantern used to shed light in this strange hut. The walls were either carved stone or clay, Menma tool the hardest object he could find, a small stone and began tapping on the wall listening. He was able to determine the echo was indication they were mostly underground, so he had acquired quite a bit of information and decided to begin formulating a plan to escape.
