guard duty kyuzo and suki

Kyuzo woke up and got ready for the day he did some stretches and did a small work out. He got some ramen to eat for breakfast and he headed to the hokages mansion to get a mission. The hokage gave him the mission but he had to wait for his team member that was not there yet. Before he could start the mission which was a c rank mission to guard the gates of the village making sure no one enters of leaves the village. Kyuzo waited on a couch while waiting on his teammate he was wondering who he was teamed up with hopping it was someone he knew before.

Running late, Suki made a quick bowl of noodles and changed her clothes before downing the food, almost choking in the haste. Throwing the bowl and utensils on the counter, she ran to her bathroom and brushed her hair, and smoothed down her tank top before rushing out of her apartment, not forgetting to close and lock the door behind her. Moving through alleyways and rushing to where she remembered the Hokage lived was a hassle even though it was still pretty early. However, she soon made it, running through the front doors, and to the Hokage's office, then calmed down as she saw that she wasn't too late. With a smile on her face, she accepted a mission that was handed to her then went back to the main building, then saw a familiar face. Kyuzo. She ran a few fingers through her hair as she walked up to him, then said, "Hey." Her face was a little pink from running, a little out of breath, but she caught it soon, and asked, "What are you here for?"

Kyuzo was sitting quietly while waiting for his teammate to come so they can start their mission. While he was waiting he was thinking about the mission and all the things that could go wrong during it even though it was just a C rank mission. While he was in the middle of his thinking he saw Suki come in looking like she ran all the way there. He looked at her when she asked why i was here he held up a scroll for the mission " Looks like were teammates for this mission". Kyuzo was happy it was the girl he met at the noodle bar. He got up and looked at her " So you ready for the mission or do you still need to get some stuff" Kyuzo asked in a calm voice.

Taking another deep breath, she was finally calming down. She gave him a sweet smile before taking the scroll gently from his hands and read it, sighing. "Great. This isn't too hard, or so it seems." She said, giving the scroll back. "I'm glad we're partners. It would suck if I had to do this with someone I hadn't seen in months." She patted down her sides, making sure she had everything. "Yeah, I think I have everything. Let's go." She said, then flipped her bangs out of her face and set off with a determined look on her face.

Kyuzo nodded as she told him the same thing he was thinking and took the scroll back from Suki. He got up and made sure he had everything before they went to the gate. He had every thing that he thought he would need and he walked out the door. He thought this mission would be a bit boring for him. Since he wanted to prove his worth on more risky missions but he didnt complain a bout it. So he headed to the place where they were going to watch people and check there papers.

Truthfully, Suki did more complicated missions in Suna, but she wasn't going to argue. It was pretty easy, but she hoped that it was hard enough to test her. As they walked through the village, she glanced over at Kyuzo once in a while, trying to figure out what he was thinking. It was still pretty early in the morning, so she rubbed her eyes trying to wake herself up before they made it to their destination. She heard that they were basically going to check papers and watch people, but Suki hoped that something interesting would make it more fun.

Kyuzo reached the building where the guards would check the papers of the people entering the village. Kyuzo sat down on a chair and grabbed a scroll about fire jutsu since he thought it would be a slow day in the village. But Kyuzo kept the scroll down so he could look down at it and look up to check the villagers passports before the enter and leave the village.
