For the Hunter Challenge to be accepted the mission must have the tag [Hunter], and if this challenge is accepted you will be forced to combat a C-ranked Missing-Nin that was trying to sneak into your village
In the heart of the village sat a large building, about three or four times the size of the other buildings around it, and it was very close to various shops in the village which sold ninja tools, as well as some of the black smiths and the inventors who tinkered with puppets. all of the buildings had back entrances that pointed towards this central building, that seemed to be in the middle of all of them on one of the busier streets within the city. That was where a young man was walking towards, as the day was waning on, and the night was creeping closer, the sun slowly setting beyond the horizon. In about an hour or so, the people of this street would all have been gone, and this building would house most of their merchandise. The merchandise, weapons, puppet mechanisms, and raw materials such as iron and hard wood would be kept here, unlike the comparatively small amount of their good that they would display in their shop to attract customers. This was the warehouse that housed all of those ares, so to speak, and this was where Kouma's current mission would be held. It should be a rather uneventful night, as there were very few thieves in the star village, but that did not mean their were none, and Kouma had to be vigilant. This mission was rather taxing on him, as he had been training the past few weeks, rather hard, and this simply made him very tired, so having to stay up all night made him actually have to change his sleep schedule a bit, but he was still pretty tired after a long nap. He rubbed his eyes and made his way to the back of the ware house, as he had gotten the keys to it before from the mission administration office. His job was to patrol around the ware house and inside of it, and make sure that no one was getting into it or stealing from it. It was a fairly simple job, and he assumed that there would be nothing going wrong when he was doing it tonight, but he still had to look around and be as alert as possible.
Usually one would need to enter a large door that was on some sort of tracks to get into the ware house, but the small door in the back of the ware house was close to some sort of small room that was built into the ware house off to the side, which also had a door and a lock on it, which Kouma had the keys to as well, just in case, but was told not to snoop around in there too much, as there were records and ledgers in there that might end up compromising the private matters and affairs of various businesses, as they wanted to be competitive with each other, and the information about how much and what they were selling would give a competitor an edge. Being a young man with not too many life experiences, Kouma did not understand how any of that worked, so he simply saw it as another small room that he had to guard for around eight hours, and so he simply looked at it, and looked through the small window to see where every thing was in the room and how one might escape should they sneak into that room, and he noticed that it was only the door and the window on the same side that they could leave from. Kouma walked in towards the main floor of the ware house, which was actually a large spacious building with pallets and crates piled up every where, and noticed that the floor was covered in some sort of thick wooden tiles that did not seem like any wood that Kouma had seen before. He wondered if this was because of the fact that there were a lot of people with the earth element and burrowing techniques, as this was something very sturdy that one could not really burrow through without smashing it after they were done burrowing, and so it would at least not be as quiet as a burrowing technique. This was the most likely reason that Kouma saw at the moment.
As Kouma was making his way through the ware house floor, he noticed a large number of pallets, and huge shelves stacked high with goods, making it seem more like aisles in a general goods store than an actual spacious building just used for storing things. He could see how this sort of lay out could be used to open a store by itself, and let people buy things a bit more whole sale, but that would more than likely start stepping on the toes of the other businessmen here that owned the surrounding store fronts, and besides, Kouma was not a business man, so thinking about these things was mostly just a distraction for what he was doing, which was fairly boring. He walked through the aisles, looking for people, or even animals at this point, as he would most likely shoo the animals away if he found any, as they were probably not allowed to be in here either. His job was to just wander around and be alert for the most part, making sure that no one had snuck in, and no one was trying to steal or deface the property. After a little while of walking around the ware house, had had seen al there was to see. He enjoyed the aisle that had a large amount of incense and other perfumes, as even though they were sealed and were not lit yet, they gave off a pleasant and mild aroma when there were crates and barrels filled with it. There did not seem to be any thing perishable here, which seemed a bit like a zoning issue, and Kouma never really thought about where the food stalls and other food salesmen in the village got their supply, as he had just assumed that they had gotten them from the merchants that came into the city regularly, and of course their own supply of good from the fields and growing area, but then again, some of those shops sold to hundreds of people a day, so they must have some sort of ware house that would need to be kept cold or all of their goods would spoil, and Kouma remembered that he was not as knowledgeable of this large city like village as he should be, and would make it a point to wander around and explore more in the future.
After he had walked the ground floor of the ware house a couple of times, he figured that it was time that he moved to the outside perimeter of the ware house so that he could tell if any one was attempting to sneak around, plus there were some rumors about some people defacing public property with all manner of graffiti lately, so he had to be on the look out for that, and there would be some sort of thing that he had to do to make up for that if it happened on his watch, most likely he would have to clean it if they could not catch the culprit. Soon he was out side, coming out from the back door of the ware house and making sure that he locked the small door behind him, before starting to make his way around the ware house's exterior wall, looking around at the other stores. It seemed like tonight was a slightly unlucky night, as when he turned a corner to look at the front side of the ware house, he had seen a young person's figure in a dark hood in front of the ware house with some sort of bucket of paint and a large paint brush. Kouma and the figure turned to look at each other at the same time, and soon the figure ditched his paint and brush and simply started to run off. Kouma looked at the wall where the bucket and brush were, to see if the young man or woman had actually started to deface the property, and it seemed that there was no need to chase the person, as nothing had happened. Since nothing actually went wrong, and the person did not actually graffiti the front of the shop, Kouma felt that simply scaring him off was good enough, as he did not feel like chasing that young man, and even if he did, he would leave the ware house unattended for too long of a time. He would rather just shoo the young person away with the threat that if he came there again, he would be caught, and hopefully that would scare him straight, and he would not do anything like that in the future, although Kouma thought that this chance was rather low, unless he actually got caught and punished. Still, Kouma was not there to punish people for things they had not done yet, even if they had the intent, so he ignored the young person and simply continued to walk around the perimeter, taking the bucket and the brush and walking back to the back and placing them inside for the time being.
He walked back outside and looked around, and wondered if anything else would happen that night, but nothing really did. Kouma was fine with this, as eventually he was sitting on the roof of the war house looking out over the night sky of the village, as the ware house was about ten feet taller than the other buildings in the area. The moon was particularly bright out side tonight, and Kouma liked looking at it. He was feeling tired, and yawned quite a large yawn before checking the time again, and it showed that he was fairly close to the end of his particular shift, and he simply had to wait for the other genin that was supposed to come and patrol after he did, and so the next twenty or so minutes was simply him kicking his feet around while waiting on the roof of the warehouse, or so he thought at first that was what was going to happen, but little did he know, that action was actually going to happen the last twenty minutes of his shift there, as he was on the roof, he had seen a figure that was wandering around in the dark side of the ware house, as the moon was making one of the sides of the building extra dark, and then Kouma barely saw a figure rushing around down there. He thought that the figure must have missed him, as he was sitting at the top of the building on the other side, so even if the figure was looking for him, he was really only visible from the neck up, and so there was no way they could have seen him. At least Kouma thought this, because who would see a guard and then willingly go to the building that had the guard in it, just so they could take a couple of things or deface the property a bit, Kouma did not understand the appeal of any of that, and so he got a bit lower on the roof and simply walked to the edge and watched this person wander around.
It seemed that this person wandered around the ware house until they got to the back door of the ware house, before fiddling with something in their pocket and taking it out. It seemed that these things were lock picks, and they were trying to get into the back door of the ware house. Kouma watched them fiddle around for a bit, and even curse under their breath as they were trying to unlock the door, but were failing to do so as fast as they had wanted, and so Kouma decided to hop down and scare the person. As Kouma hopped off the roof and landed on the ground in a kneeling position, the person seemed to notice him as he landed, and loud thud that happened when he landed alerted this person, who immediately yelped as if they were a cat and someone had stepped on their tail, before simply running away. This time, Kouma would not let them simply run away again, as he had recognized the figure as the person before who had attempted to deface the property, and since he was still slower than Kouma, he seemed like he was not a shinobi, and was easily stopped and grabbed by Kouma, who simply grabbed their arm and twisted it, shoving them into the ground with a sort of joint lock. After struggling and cursing for a bit, the person on the ground gave up, and Kouma asked why they were doing this, and that they would be arrested, and hopefully the time in some sort of jail house or something was going to be enough to re-educate them. Kouma had captured them just in time for the replacement for him to show up, and when he saw what was going on, shouted and went to go and get some queens men, who came and arrested the person quite swiftly. Kouma only told them that the person was attempting to deface the property but they had been stopped, and quickly changed shifts with the new guy.
