The God and the Angel (VIPER/NAVI)

It had been quite some time since Navi had last talked to Viper, as the two of them were often involved with very different business. While Navi was often moderating border defenses and escorts, Viper's presence was often required at the heart of the village, making contact between them very minimal. This time Navi had requested a meeting with the Hokage, as there were several matters he wanted to address.

Navi folded his angelic wings and landed gracefully in the window of the Hokage's office. His Raven Style Kekkei Genkai slowly faded away as he stepped into the room, the blue wings dissipating into the air.

Dressed in his Jounin attire, Navi would bow respectfully but somewhat informally before stating his business, waiting for Viper to acknowledge his presence.

The man whom all believe to be the real Viper sits behind his desk, a Kage Bunshin of all things but a modified version within his realm.
This Viper looks towards his young Anbu, "It has been some time Navi" Viper uses the fitting name to match the attire, "What business do you have with me today?"
The clone is void of most emotion as it asks its question, the clone a perfect replica for even if detailed with any form of sensory it would reveal a full chakra reserve, and exact dna making it a perfect doppleganger to take the Hokage's place while he attends to other business.
This of coarse is monitored by the real Viper on a projection of his office aside the first projection of the grand sea where the first clone is being monitored, each and every word is captured and each action viewed by the original.

"It has been some time Navi" Viper uses the fitting name to match the attire, "What business do you have with me today?"

As Navi had no reason to believe otherwise, Navi continued as if the real Viper was still in front of him. Even with his Navagan eyes everything about Viper checked out: his muscle structure, condition of organs, chakra network and flow. With everything seemingly checked out and as it should be through Navi's eyes, he proceeded with the meeting.

There were several things that he wanted to discuss, but Navi decided to begin with the most obvious and pressing of matters. He took a deep breath and bit his bottom lip gently, unsure of how to proceed.

"Before he left I had a talk with Echo, as head of the ANBU Black Ops his departure caused some disturbance amongst the ranks. Administrative duties were left to you, but the chain of command under you was in some level of disarray."

Navi took another breath before he spoke with confidence in his proposed solution. "There is an officer position as a captain of the Black Ops opened now, and I'm here to request that promotion."

He would let his words sink in for a few moments, before playing the ace in his hand. Navi reached behind is back and grabbed a sword, sheath and all. With both hands he rested the weapon on Viper's desk, before breaking the seal and revealing a small portion of the blade.
Viper would recognize this as not only a Heaven's Sorrow Ninjato, but THE Heaven's Sorrow Ninjato, the blade originally used and made legendary through Echo's use. Navi looked up to study Viper's face as he showed him the symbol that represented the faith Echo placed in him.

"I've received a recommendation from Echo already, but I would like to request the position from you directly."

The clone hears his words, he brings up his brother and his words bother him, he can not believe these words are actually coming out of his mouth, only a day after his brother left and he is already after his job?
Viper's right hand reaches forward placing itself upon the hilt of the blade, his voice is cold.
"Your position will stay as is Ferret, my brother only left yesterday and you are already wanting his spot?"
This aggravates Viper and will be one of the main reasons he denies this promotion, "If there is a problem with my chain of command, I will fix it personally. The ANBU shall no longer have a captain unless I see the need for one, each and every ANBU member follows my word and only my word, there will be no more confusion."
Viper's right hand that is grasping the blade causes it to vanish in a flash of crimson including the sheath, this is something that is valuable to his brother and sentimental to him.
"Is this all you wanted, Navi?"

"Your position will stay as is Ferret, my brother only left yesterday and you are already wanting his spot?"

Navi raises an eyebrow as he realizes what Viper thought he was insinuating. "...sir," he started saying,

"If there is a problem with my chain of command, I will fix it personally. The ANBU shall no longer have a captain unless I see the need for one, each and every ANBU member follows my word and only my word, there will be no more confusion."

It was strange to see Viper act this way, putting his personal feelings for Echo cut in front of instating a new officer. Feelings do not have a place in the realm of military action, and for the efficiency and chain of command to be compromised was a huge problem. It was surprising to see Viper react so illogically, simply because someone wanted to fix the hole as quickly as possible. Navi would have been put off by the instant denial... if that's what he had been asking.

Navi cut in before Viper continued, seeing the aggravation mount on the Hokage's face was unsettling, especially when it was based on a miscommunication. "You misunderstand sir, I am not after the position of leader of the ANBU, that belongs to Echo Uchiha." Like other members of the Black Ops, many looked up to Echo as being a true and inspirational leader. Even if the man retired, many of the recruits would still look to him for guidance and advice. When news spread of his departure, most assumed it was only temporary. Although upon seeing Viper react this way, Navi realized that Echo had told his brother that this was much more then a quick business trip.

Navi pushed aside these thoughts before restating the reason he had come. "The ANBU corps has a place for two captains, officers that can oversee missions and take over lesser administrative duties. I came to request one of those captain positions. With Echo on leave all main command duties went to you, but the corps has had an open position for quite some time now. With him gone I thought now was as good a time as any."

Navi eased off the formal side for a moment and cracked a slight smile. "You don't honestly think Echo would recommend me for HIS job do you?" He watched as Viper examined the blade, and waited for his answer.

How to Obtain:Hand picked by the corresponding Kage and complete 2 S-Rank Missions
Limts: 2 Captains are allowed and each Captain can have 3 ANBU members and that is the limit to members.

The clone simply listens to his words for now and how he still persists at getting a promotion, perhaps it is just due to him being tense after his brothers departure that he spoke as such, he does give it some thought.
"Very well, we will see how you do in such a spot of authority." The clones voice remains cold and he proceeds to take back the blade, Viper feeling this blade should not be given away so lightly.
"I will personally be monitoring any and all actions you make, the reason my brother had the position he did is for one, I knew he could handle it, and two we were constantly in touch and he knew what move to make in what situation."
The clones eyes watch for his response, one of the man issues Viper has is that position puts one in a very dangerous spot for him, the captain of the ANBU having the highest authority only outmatched by his own.
He knew his brother would never betray him, but in this time of war when your brother just left, what is there left to trust in?

Navi suppressed the overwhelming feeling of joy that overcame him when Viper granted him the position. This promotion was serious and came with responsibilities, and Navi realized the level of trust that was being placed in him.

"I won't let you down sir," Navi said with confidence, giving a small bow with his head.

Viper was right, this would mean he would need to be in contact much more often with the Hokage. Echo and Viper were brothers, and clearly had a close bond beyond that of a professional one. They trusted each other immensely and were in communication often. While Navi felt he could never hope to reach the level of expertise that the Head Captain of the ANBU had shown, he would still try to leave a positive impression now that he had been granted an officer's position.

With that business out of the way, there were other small matters Navi felt he wanted to attend to. They were much less formal, and possibly inappropriate, but he felt compelled to speak them out loud. As strange as it was, the commanding officers of Viper and Echo took the place of "family" in Navi's life. With his clan slaughtered early in his life, Navi immediately looked towards authority figures to fill the void.

Navi changed the mood of the room with his next question, possibly catching Viper even more off guard then he was previously.

"Viper...I mean,.. sir," Navi stammered out before gaining his composure. "Many ladies around the village talk about you being very charming and attractive...so... how do you do it?"

The stupidity of this question was not lost on Navi. He had trouble making eye contact at the man behind the desk and his face turned slightly red. The Hokage was the closest thing Navi had to a father, whether Viper knew it or not. This type of question would most likely catch him completely off guard, but despite its absurd nature, it was a serious one.

Navi had recently begun to fall in love with a girl from the sand, but he was unsure how to proceed in a relationship. Unfortunately none of his training sessions with the Black Ops addressed how to talk to girls. Every member of Navi's original Genin squad had died, his old sensei, and most of his friends had died as well. As Viper was the only figure in his life that even slightly resembled family, the question fell to him.

If Viper didn't answer or expressed disgust then Navi would back pedal immediately. "Um, sorry sir, I was just joking!"

The clone hears his question, his right brow rises, what was once an emotionless demeanor now breaks, a soft chuckle comes from his lips followed by his trademark smirk.
His right arm moves forward curling upwards his elbow upon the desk and his chin resting in his open palm that is visible wearing a fingerless leather glove, his smirk looking a tad sinister due to the boys nervous expression.
"You see Navi, when you hit this level...." Viper's arms extend outwards as he proclaims loudly, "The ladies gather and bow at your awesomeness!"
Viper waits for his reaction, the wide smirk still upon his face making him think his leader is serious at these matters, Viper just waits for his no doubt horrified expression.

Navi nearly fell over when he saw Viper's demeanor change so suddenly. He couldn't help but show a startled expression across his face as the incredibly respected Hokage preached his advice. The amount of enthusiasm displayed by his cold leader was unsettling, and Navi concluded that talking about girls and being around family seemed to be the best way to set him at ease.

Despite his somewhat serious expression, Viper wore a smirk on his face, and Navi honestly couldn't decide whether or not Viper was amused by his ignorance or in bliss thinking about women. Navi guessed he was messing with him though, because the display seemed to be geared towards getting a cheap horrified reaction out of him. Navi reorganized himself before speaking, trying to make sense of it all.

"Alright, well how do I hit your level then?"

Navi breathed silent curses at the ninja academy for not having taught him these things. Despite Navi's immense talent and skill at being an experienced ninja, he was merely an anxious kid when it came to social situations. All of the combat experience and confidence in the world didn't help him when he never had anyone to set an example for him when it came to talking to a girl. All of this was very confusing to the teenage Navi, and he could only hope that Viper didn't continue to manipulate his ignorance into making him seem like even more of an idiot.

"Is there anything you can teach me?"

Was he seriously asking for training on how to talk to a girl? While he was unsure how Viper would react, Navi had a pretty good guess. This was getting more embarrassing by the moment, and with his eyes glued to the floor Navi could picture Viper on the brink of bursting into laughter. Maybe just some advice would work better, that is if Viper could manage to open his mouth without letting out a fit of hysterical cackling.

Viper watches his head drop to the floor embarrassed, he can not say it isn't fun toying with the boy so he plans to push him just a bit more.
"Well, it is hard to teach such a natural gift that your born with, every girl wants to help revive a dying clan" Viper adds with a soft chuckle through his smirk.
Viper does note however that the boy is serious in his questions, Viper knows full well what the boys past is, perhaps that is why he is coming to him, he was afterall welcomed in his home before after dating his "sister", a subject that does bother him after knowing he dumped her and is now asking for help with another girl?

Viper sighs, "Honestly, just be yourself and do not let anyone change you.
If you pretend to be what your not, then you will only attract someone fake, but only when you truly act like who you are will you find the right one."
The advice is ironic considering Viper's true experience with women, despite how he looks he is but thirteen.
Due to Viper's age and upbringing women were not really thought about often, ever since he could walk he was groomed to be the future head of the Uchiha clan, a title he now has, mostly due to his mothers influence she had when she was alive as the clan head before him.
Akina being the first girl he actually dated, his age playing a major factor in his experience, Viper surprisingly feel alot like Navi does right now, wondering how he will mess it up, how he will make it better, and everything inbetween.
