Task: Scout around the village to make sure the
area is secure. If anyone who doesn't seem to be an ally is seen, report it to
higher ranking shinobi.

It was Hasashi’s first mission, patrolling around the borders. He would have been lying to himself had he said he wasn’t nervous. In truth he was extremely scared. What if I run into a missin-nin or something like that? I’ll die! He knew at least one shinobi had defected from the village recently, what if he ran into him? Hasashi knew little to no jutsu, he would die if he ran into an opponent of any skill.

His only weapon was his ninjato, which he wore across his back. He carried no shuriken or kunai with him. His clothing was a simple but well fitted T-shirt and a nice pair of shorts. His headband, which had a purple strap, was tied around his forehead, the straps so long that as he jumped fro tree to tree he felt the ends of them tapping again his back. I may need to get those cut, what if they somehow got in the way?

Hasashi’s hair was a spiky as usual, which was the only thing that pleased him right then. I guess… if I die. I’ll at least not look like an idiot. he thought he looked stupid whenever his mother straightened his hair. How embarrassing would it be to die while looking like that? He didn’t want to think about it, his corpse being found, and all of his friends laughing at his hair. That would suck!

Hasashi felt each branch bend beneath his weight, despite his small size. It was a bit scary as well, but Hasashi had learned that most of the time the branches could hold his weight. So far he had only ever fallen once from a branch breaking. And that had happened when he was really young.

Hasashi had gotten lucky, he had finished his route and not found anything bad. Thankful for his good luck, he turned around and made his way home.
