A Random meeting [Jin, Orochihama, P, IO]

Orochihama was on the borders again. She was hoping to find someone truly friendly. She had heard that people from Tengakure were pretty amiable, so she went to the Tengakure borders. The area was wide and flat, no trees or rocks anywhere; just dirt.

Jinno Jr. trekked through the borders on foot, traveling to the legendary location known as Kumogakure. It was unfortunate that Jinno had been cultivated in Tengakure, as Kumogakure would have much better suited his style. The ninja of this village had a reputation for being skilled Lightning Release user’s, as well as skilled swordsman, which suited JJ perfectly, as he was a Lightning Release samurai. He hoped to someday reach the level of his legendary father, Jinno Sr., but to do that, JJ knew that he would have to train with the ninja of Kumogakure. This would surely give him a hand up on the rest of the ninja. From the neck down, Jinno looked pretty normal, clad in a black tank top, cargo pants, and ninja sandals; but from the neck up, he was quite an unusual sight. He wore his father’s teddy mask, that had been taken from the scene of his death and given to the young Jinno. Behind the mask, nobody could see Jinno’s face, they would only see the cold, unfeeling eyes of the teddy bear. Out of JJ’s mouth hung a marijuana cigarette, or a ‘joint’, that filled him with serene relaxation with each puff. The tip glowed and expelled puffs of gray smoke. A teddy bear smoking weed, quite an odd site to the average viewer. Jinno took note of his surroundings as any good warrior would do. He was highly trained in the art of killing and battle, so he had learned to always be aware of his surroundings. The area was completely devoid of trees, logs, rocks, or any object besides dry, brittle, yellow grass. There were absolutely no objects to substitute with, so if Jinno encountered trouble, he would be in quite a predicament. He continued to walk down the dirt road that he had set off from his home village of Tengakure from, and noticed the massive fields of waist height, dead grass on each side of him. Turning his head to the left, he noticed a young girl, standing in the middle of the field to the left of him, the grass reaching up to her waist. He had not made a sound at all, and her back was faced towards him, so he would certainly not have been noticed thus far. Since JJ was slightly lost and did not know the way to Kumogakure off the top of his head, he decided that it might be wise to ask for directions. Perhaps smoking was not the best way to attract ladies, so he took the butt of his joint and flicked it into the grass, not wanting to be seen like this. Jinno turned to face the lady, who would certainly not have noticed him yet, and he gets ready to ask for directions.

Orochihama could smell the vile smoke from a while off and turned around. It was this..... kid. Apparently, he was either a puny academy student, or a rogue shinobi. Either way, she needed to be on her guard. She asked "Who are you? Why are you smoking? I'm not one to judge, but.... well anyway, nice to meet you." She would back away a couple of steps, the distance between them now being 10 meters.

The second the girl turns around is when Jinno Jr. flicks his joint into the dry, brittle grass. It had not rained in awhile, so the vegetation had absolutely zero moisture in it, making it extremely combustible. JJ should probably have considered this before he had decided to flick a blazing object into it. The catalyst of the cigarette butt immediately sets the grass ablaze, creating a massive inferno that rapidly spreads through the dead grass, as it is extremely combustible and burns instantly. Within seconds, the entire field is ablaze, including the part where the young girl is standing up to her waist. For 10 meters around her on each side is blazing grass, she has absolutely no way to escape. Jinno has just unintentionally sentenced this girl to death by immolation. The flames are burning and spreading much faster than the girl is capable of moving, making it impossible for her to escape. In mere seconds, she will be engulfed by the flames, that will catch onto her clothes and swallow up her entire body. She will die within seconds. This is of course, unless God intervenes and some divine miracle occurs, allowing her to be saved from her impending doom. Jinno facepalms, not feeling very bad about the death, but he should probably refrain from carelessly killing people in the future...

As the fire spread, the girl drew her wakizashi and cut away all the grass around her. Thus, the fire would not reach her and she would not die from immolation. However, the boy had neglected to protect himself, so he would be engulfed by the flames and die.

[wow, really man? Who was the one who said "no killing"? I was not going to kill you before, but now.....]

Uhh...you definitely can't cut away grass faster than it can spread, especially considering you only have 31 speed. Also, I'm on the DIRT ROAD, and the GRASS is on fire. So I'm safe and you're dead o-o

[The fire doesn't instantly kill me the moment it touches me, so..... I do have time to cut it away. Also, I'm pretty sure the fire doesn't spread THAT fast. Besides, you never mentioned where you flicked the stub, so I can just say that I DO have time.]

I said that I flicked the stub into the grass...also, fire on dead grass spreads very fast, and you're waste high in the grass, meaning even at full speed, you wouldn't be able to run away that easily. You definitely can't cut away the grass faster than the fire is spreading through it...also, you stated you were 10 meters away from me, and the grass was next to me (but I wasn't in it), so you're only 10 meters away from the initial flame. Fire on dead grass can spread 10 meters (30 feet) faster than someone with 31 speed can do shyt o-o

[Yes, I can. As others in the cbox have already confirmed, the fire doesn't spread THAT fast. Also, the fire wouldn't kill me the moment it hit me. So..... i don't see why you're still arguing about this. I won't kill you if you don't intentionally try to kill me....]

[Setting on fire would certainly kill you...and it does spread 10 meters THAT fast o-o you only have 31 speed.]
