Training turning sparring? (P, NK)

“I must admit, I prefer being alive to being dead quite a bit.” Masaru said with a chuckle, not really minding Kahen’s shouting. Another thing which occupied his thoughts, however, was Ayumi’s area of choice, the open area, somewhat close to the river. If she knew any Water Techniques, that would be an advantage for her, although he would not automatically say that she knew some, just based on the area she had pointed out, he would be sure to keep an eye on the water during the fight, in case he might be right. The open area, however, might mean something as well… What benefitted from open areas? A weapon-user would clearly prefer his or her prey not to be able to hide within the trees easily, while a fire-user would probably prefer to be able to use Fire Techniques without setting the whole place on fire. Earth Techniques might be a little more potent out in the open, he honestly was not sure if they were, but they would be easier to evade here. All in all, keep an eye on the river, and be ready to dodge fireballs or weapons.

However, as he was done analysing the proposed area of sparring, he spotted the… training dummy? Masaru had never seen anything like that before, so he eyed it, not quite knowing what to expect. Was it a new kind of training dummy, and did any of the others know about it? It was smaller than the standard training dummies, that was for sure, but one could not always expect opponents to be of the same height, so it would certainly make sense with a training dummy which was lower than most. However, the Jester’s Hat and that… dress of some sort, he guessed, made him quite uneasy. “What do you guys propose that we do about that? I could swear that it was not here just a minute ago, but it might just be my overlooking or forgetting things.” He said, his curiosity regarding what it was and where it came from defeating his desire to fight out the spar.

Ayumi and the others started walking towards the open area when Masaru pointed at the weird *thing* and asked what to do about it. Ayumi was also %100 confident there was nothing there a minute ago. It couldn't be that both Masaru and she were seeing things. She said, "Let me check it out before we start" and walked towards it slowly. It could be a puppet or a genjutsu of one of her opponents or someone else that wanted to play with them. She also added "If this is a trap of you guys, I will not hold back after this." before she tried to kick it like a ball to a long, long distance. If it were to succeed, she would just take her stance and get ready for the spar. If not, she didn't want to be caught without attention so her Kawarimi jutsu was already ready to replace her with a log nearby just in case.

OOC: substitution requires 3 hand seals but you never performed any hand seals...

Guujin is enraged when the girl tries to kick his favorite puppet. In a state of blind rage, Guujin will show no mercy to the girl. She had not performed a single hand seal up until this point, so she will not be able to perform a substitution at the start of Guujin's attack. The much faster and stronger puppet will grab her leg the second that it begins to extend to kick it, and seeing that the puppet is nearly 3x as fast as the girl she will have very little opportunity to dodge. If the puppet catches hold of her leg, he will yank her down to the ground with his far superior strength and begin to aim concussive punches to the girl's head until she falls unconscious. Seeing that she is much weaker and slower than Guujin's favorite puppet, he will almost certainly succeed in his attack. Due to the puppet's far superior speed, all of this will happen even before she can form the few hand seals necessary for a substitution.

Kahen gave a questioning look when Masaru started talking about the dummy. He turned his head and looked in the direction they were looking in. Kahen wondered when that even got there. He realized he should pay more attention to things but if that's a dummy, then it should be out here in the training field, but the clothes and hat is what through him off. 'What kind of dummy wears that stuff,' Kahen questioned himself.

"Well, I never even noticed that was there to begin with," Kahen laughed quietly.

The listened to Ayumi as she walked over to the dummy, "I swear, I don't even know what that thing is," he said as he looked at Masaru, who was still standing in the same spot since they never walked over to open area with him. He watched as Ayumi tried to kick the dummy but the dummy moved as soon as she tried to kick it. Kahen eyes shot open because he realized it wasn't not a dummy. He watched as the thing moved it's arm and aimed for her legs.

As he watched Ayumi try to kick the thing, Masaru came to the conclusion that this was probably no training dummy, or anything like it. Was this a technique of a foreign ninja? Well, they were most likely about to find out, as the thing was now moving. Its movements seemed… weird, compared to what Masaru had been shown at the academy. Besides, few human were that small, and it seemed to float in the air or something like that. Was it Genjutsu? Could it be? Were they not somewhat supposed to look someone in the eye for that to happen? Argh, if just he had his notes from that Genjutsu class right now.

Well, if it was Genjutsu, he could do nothing about it, as he did not have the required chakra control for the Technique that the teachers at the Academy had mentioned, so he might as well assume that this was not an illusion. What did that leave, which might explain those somewhat… mechanical movements? Mechanical… Ah, a puppet. But someone would have to control the puppet. As far as he knew, the puppeteer could only be so far away from the puppet, and he or she would probably need a somewhat clear view of the puppet in order to be able to control it well.

With that in mind, he quickly looked around, and failed to notice anyone beside the three of them at ground level. That would most likely mean that the puppeteer was to be found in the trees. This was assuming that this was a puppet, and that Masaru was not just overthinking things. Well, the worst thing that could happen was that he would have to explain to the other two that he had been a bit paranoid, a trait which was by no means rare among ninja. With that in mind, Masaru ran towards a tree, and, instead of stopping and beginning to climb it, continued to run, just vertically along the tree, in an attempt to get a better view of the treetops.

When Ayumi tried to kick the *thing* it suddenly grabbed her leg and before she even had the time to use her Kawarimi she found herself falling to the ground. She luckily was carrying a smoke bomb which could prove to be very useful against a puppeteer. As much as they are known for their puppet using, they are also known for their lack in close-combat. The puppet was too small to hit her before she fell to the ground, so as Ayumi was falling she had just enough time to take the smoke bomb out of her pouch, when she fell to the ground the smoke bomb also exploded to make the fight invisible to the puppeteer if he was far away. She took some strong punches to her face at first but soon enough if he stood idle the puppeteer would lose his grip on her and either have to come in the smoke to see with the risk of showing himself or let Ayumi go unless he had some skill that allowed sight through smoke.

OOC: my puppet is 4 feet tall by the way. And he's much too strong for you so he won't lose his grip and you will fall unconscious seeing that his strength is much higher than your health.

The smoke hits only after the puppet had the girl pinned to the ground, and Guujin could see when she got pinned to the ground so he already knew where she was when the smoke hit. Even though he could not see through the smoke that covered he girl and his puppet he knew where the both of them were so he just kept tugging the chakra threads and making the puppet land more punches aimed at the girls head. The force of the punches is very strong and Guujiin will continue them in a rapid fire fashion for about 30 punches to the immobilized girl. After this she would surely be rendered unconscious and even lucky to be alive if they hit. Just to make sure though the puppet activates its blades and will stab the girl through elbows while pinning her to the ground. Her arms will be unusable after this and she will be unconscious. Luckily the smoke does not cover the position of the other 2 boys and since Guujin is elevated he can see past he smoke cloud and to both of the boys. He moves his puppet back into a standing position and prepares for battle.

Kahen watched as the machine grabs Ayumi's leg out from underneith, "Oh no," he whispers under his breath as a smoke bomb goes off. Kahen shifted his eyes to Marasu and seen him running off to the trees. 'Where is he going! Just running off like that,' he thought as he looked back to the smoke. "I have to help, someway....", he says to himself as he look around. [i]'I can't see a thing in that smoke and if I just run in there I will not add to the help, maybe if I hide in the trees until that thing leaves. Maybe she'll still be alive. Kahen looked around and realized that isn't who is and that he must help and took off running towards the smoke.

Once he reaches the smoke, he enters it immediately and can barely see the machine on top of Ayumi, hitting her in the face. Kahen knew what he had to do and threw himself at the thing. If he's bod hit it, he would roll with it off of Ayumi, unless it somehow dodges him.

Masaru flinched slightly as he saw first Ayumi and the puppet disappear in a cloud of smoke, being pretty sure that nothing good was going was going to happen to Ayumi inside that. When Kahen joined the smokescreen as well, Masaru was not entirely sure how he should feel about it. If they were two, they might be able to help each other, but would they be able to do that while in the smoke? Well, thinking about it would not help either of them. Distracting the puppeteer would. With that in mind, Masaru began running through the trees, starting in a small circle which would include the trees nearest to the three, intending to expand the circle as he ran around, hoping that he might get close to their enemy, so that he might decide that Masaru was the greater threat.

He had to smile a bit at that thought. He was a pawn right now, and the best thing that he could do was try to force the enemy to waste a move in order to take him, by threatening an important enemy piece, albeit without support. If this worked, the best-case scenario would probably be him being beat quite badly. Worst-case scenario… well, this was basically a suicide move. While some said that pawns can only influence the game by sacrificing themselves, Masaru did not quite take to that philosophy. Nevertheless, it was a way that they could influence the game, and he was about to try to pull of that move right now.

Hideyoshi had been walking around for a while, his little familiar bear by his side. They had been running through the trees near the training grounds for some odd hours just playing around and bonding as a small team. It would be on the 30th minute of the hour that Hideyoshi heard some sounds coming from 20 meters to his left, nearest to the small clearing where people go to train. Hearing this he would slowly make his way over, preparing his Silent Steps technique as he continued to move forward. After a rough minute or so of walking he came to the clearing, with no sounds of his arrival as he watched a couple of Ninja spar...or what looked like sparring. From his observations he could see one boy running towards a smoke veil- very odd considering he saw nobody else.Trying to figure out what was going on, there was a thin spot in the smoke where one could see in, located near the right uppermost side of the veil. Through this he could see something...odd but not human like as far as he could tell. So with this in mind and his blinding speed he would dart from the bushes, still no sounds being made as he threw forth a vertical punch sending a massive amount of energy invisible to everyone except for him towards the smoke cloud. This wave of energy would also act as a strong gust blowing away the veil of smoke and bringing to light what was once hidden. Now seeing something attacking a female, Hideyoshi's speed would now increase as his speed was now a blur, as his foot came up to the attackers back, the puppet would be sent flying off of the girl as he slid to a stop, stopping right in front of the girl," Hope your okay down there...that smoke was being annoying so i got rid of it," giving a small thumbs up as he kept his eyes on the puppet.
