As his attack landed he would notice that it was actually a substitution," Crap where is she," but as soon as he said this he would have know that he was in trouble. His body would have just landed on the ground, giving him no time to properly react as his balance would not be corrected so he was now trapped by the water prison...again. Turning around on the inside of it he would look at her and grin," You...really like putting me in this prison now don't you...cannot believe i keep fall for this same trick over and over," letting out a small huff of hair. But in reality he was kinda happy, she outsmarted him and used his own tactics against him.

Ayumi laughed as she finished her jutsu. "Gotcha!", he wasn't able to react in time and he was caught in her water prison again. Last time, the fight ended abruptly after she threw the explosive tag although he didn't lose, she just left the field that time. So she knew that wouldn't beat him and that it was very dangerous as well, she didn't want him killed if he did just a slight mistake.

Ayumi seemed like she had the upper hand right now but she was about to run out of not only chakra but also stamina after using so many jutsus back to back. She had to finish this spar in the next couple of attacks or he would easily beat her in the long run. Her new jutsu wasn't just a defensive jutsu but also used for attacking purposes and would be able to finish him off if she could use both her hands for the hand seals. She got very angry herself for not creating a clone somewhere before the water prison, she wasn't able to use any jutsus with one hand but a clone could give her two extra hands. She didn't want to reflect her desperation and kept talking confidently in case she would need a bluff: "So.. what should I do with this handsome prey now.."

Hideyoshi smiled as he looked at her wondering what she would do next. He couldn't really break of it, but at the same time what would he do if he did. So many decisions, but the only thing that remained on his mind was what she was going to do. As she spoke and called him "handsome prey" he would chuckle," Well you have me like a caged lion with no way out, so there isn't much i can do at the moment besides sit here and talk to my beautiful captor," well the banter was right, but that set up was horrible on his part.

He still had more than enough energy to continue fighting, and even now if it had continued he would have to play smart or risk getting stuck in the same predicament again. Although...it was nice to be in the prison, it gave off a pleasant and cool breeze that he could feel occasionally, but this was not the time for that.

Ayumi was running out of time as she was thinking what to do, she had no way of exploiting his situation as long as one of her hands was in the prison. And if her hand was out of the prison, there wouldn't be a situation to exploit. Ayumi tried her best and threw 3 kunai to a training pole in front of them, the kunai would hit there and come back towards them, or rather him since she would flee before they came back. She threw them at the same time, they all were in the same line vertically and they had little distance between each other. If all of them were to hit Hideyoshi, he would be seriously damaged and may even be in need of medical treatment but Ayumi was sure he would block/dodge at least 1 of them. After the kunai hit the pole, Ayumi would attempt to take her hand out of the prison, jump back and form 2 water clones to the sides of him while in mid-air with her last remaining chakra and stamina to hold him steady for the incoming kunai.

Hideyoshi had spent enough time in the prison to be bored of it, as he waited the black and blue wisps would appear on his body, until they became a visible cloak. He now had more than enough to get out but that wasn't what he was worried about. As she threw the kunai he would sigh as he now formed a dodgeball sized energy ball in his hand and as the prison dropped so would the orb creating 50 five inch needles. As the Clones tried to hold him steady, they would be hit by ten of the needles making them both disappear as he jumped to the right and slid near the tree watching the Kunai whiz by his last position.

Looking towards Ayumi the Needles would be pointed at her as he dashed towards her full speed and stopped right in her face as the needles disappeared and he enveloped her into a big bear hug," I have the feeling you are trying to kill me or...maybe maul me," smiling as he sat her down and jumped back waiting for her move. He was going to kiss her as a diversionary tactic but that would be overkill as it looked like she was already tired.

As she jumped back she watched Hideyoshi form some needles and stop all the kunai and her clones in the blink of her eye. She was expecting him to do such a thing anyways but she wouldn't give up right after creating the prison. More than 30 needles were coming her way now and Hideyoshi was also charging towards her. She was too tired and was out of chakra so there was no doubt she would take a direct hit even if she tried to dodge, she didn't know how sharp the needles were but from the looks of the attack if she were to take a direct hit, she could as well die.

Hideyoshi must have seen that as he charged so he stopped right in front of her and instead of dashing he hugged her. She thought they had a good spar until he told her he feels like she wants to kill him or maul him. What was that supposed to mean, of course she would try to hurt him in a spar but she would never kill him. He has been an important part of her life lately and she was sorry he felt that way, as he sat her down she said with her eyes on the ground:

"Alright you win, I am out of stamina can you just sit with me for a while?", she would continue with an upset face if he did sit down "Look, I am sorry you feel that way... I have no intention of killing you or hurting you normally but... I have to do my best each spar to improve, you understand that right?" she gulped and looked him in the eye "You're one of the few people I actually care about, I don't want you to think of me as an evil maniac." she wouldn't talk much normally but she obviously had to now since he misjudged her feelings very much.

Hideyoshi smiled as he walked over to her and sat with her, the way she looked at him made him think he said something wrong," I did not mean like that Ayumi...i was actually joking, i see that you try your hardest and i admire that about you. You use tactics and strategy," he waited until she finished her last sentence which made him turn a little red. He simply hugged her closely and smiled," I understand completely Ayumi...and to be honest i care about you as well, and in fact the thought of you being anything like an evil maniac has never crossed my mind," he looked into her eyes as he spoke.

His words and eyes would speak the truth for him as he tried to ease her mind about what he said. He should have thought about it before he said it, but he now knew and was happy she was actually telling him things. As he continued to hug her he would wait for her to say something as Tibbers slowly made his way over to them. He honestly wondered what else she wanted to let him know. Seeing as she was speaking to him now, it could be that she wanted to tell him more," Ayumi...is there anything else you would like to tell me while were...in the midst of this conversation," his blue eyes looking into hers as a little fur ball cuddled up to his leg and plopped his head on his thigh. Tibbers could tell they were having a moment but he just wanted to be nosey and sit under his master, just in case he needed to be a "wing-man" as if a cub could even do that.

She started to smile as Hideyoshi talked to her, Ayumi felt terrible after thinking she made a bad impression on his eyes but he convinced her it wasn't actually that way. As he hugged her and kept talking she started tearing up for reasons she couldn't tell, happiness or sadness, until she saw Tibbers' little head on Hideyoshi's thigh. She couldn't help herself and laughed "He really is the cutest thing ever.", she then let him finish his words and told him "No no, I know I don't talk a lot, but that's because I don't think we have any problems. When you said that, I figured there could be one and.. I just really don't want to drive you away, that's all."

Hideyoshi moved for a moment to put Tibbers in his lap, but the cub at first protested until it got comfortable again then just laid there and looked up at Ayumi. Hideyoshi smiled and looked down at tibbers and pets him," ahh you just wanted some attention from us didn't you well you get your wish young-ling," as the little cub pawed at his hand he would turn back to Ayumi. After she spoke he would pick her up slowly and move towards the shade if she let him, Tibbers following closely as he sat both of them underneath the shade. Leaning her against him to where she could lay on his chest, he would place himself on the tree," We don't have any problems and that i am glad to say is good and trust me you won't drive me away," looking down at her as he smiled.

She laid on Hideyoshi's chest and smiled at him, his blue eyes gave her comfort, maybe because they reminded her of water or maybe because they were just beautiful. She wanted to switch the subject as she was getting emotional again. "So.. are you thinking about joining the next Chuunin exam? I am sure you can make it without much hustle, I've been sparring around here for a while now and I don't think there are many who can match your skills." She was losing to a lot of people but she was being honest, Hideyoshi was holding himself back when they fought and still was winning rather easily, although she didn't fight against other villages, she had confidence in him. He was more than a genin in her eyes or it could be that she wasn't able to be objective with him.
