Team Training: Speed (Private, IO)
Wed Apr 24, 2013 3:40 am
Dark hues surveyed the village as the owner leapt across the village heading towards the outer wall crimson eyes following behind him. The medic sailed through the air his Happi flying up behind him as he sped off slowly increasing his running as he became a blur most. The hot winds blew across his skin as his right foot touched the edge of a gutter and he jumped up high using an up draft of wind to catch his cloak and sail upwards a grin on his face as he descended towards the ground. He reached out grabbing onto an out stretched sign and swung himself into the air sailing further as his shadow extended over the streets. Yami landed on the ground feet first and shot off low to the ground as he swerved around the villages two large duffel bags over his shoulder from home.
Yami's eyes bore forward as he headed towards the village gates. He had planned that the team would be training outside of the village just outside the gate to hopefully be kept fro watchful eyes. His bags were filled with supplies water, bandages, food, sleeping bags, a large tent and other supplies that may be needed for the exercises. He had Bester running behind him in the shadows to assist in the training. Bester would be more built for speed than strength so he would be participating in this training while Cerberus would be assisting them in the strength training and helping to...persuade them to continue on. He held back a sadistic grin as he ran on.
He sprinted through the village rushing through the gates towards an open area surrounded by a large rock formation. Yami jumped over a boulder sailing through the air landing in the middle of the clearing as he placed both bags on the ground. A small river was to his left that ran through the rocks down an under ground cavern where a large waterfall was hosted and next to it a hot sprint. He had come across this location sometime ago and it would bet he ideal place for recovery. The water by the waterfall was freezing cold allowing them to soak in for the same purpose that an ice pack would apply allowing muscles to cool while the hot spring would be used for relaxing aching muscles. They would both assist with the recovery systems.
Yami pulled a bag from the first duffel bag unrolling it revealing a number of tent pegs and a large folded tent. Yami first a few hand seals as water from the river flowed towards him hitting the ground and slowly shifted turning into two identical clones to assist him. The tent was an old one his parents had used back when they were genin it was still in good condition. The clones and the original went to work using a wooden mallet to hammer the pegs into the ground as they used the metal poles to line the insides of the tent allowing it to stand. The tent would easily fit six people inside it.
Bester walked over to his master as he worked on the tent and laid on the ground resting his head on his paws. The Liger's crimson eyes watched the area with a scrutinising gaze as he sniffed lightly to detect any incoming senses.

Jin's alarm clock let out a series of electronic jingles, the alarm hell bent on waking him up, Jin remembered suddenly that he actually had a training session with Yami today, it was the start of a brutal multi stage training regime that'd test every muscle and fiber of their bodies, Yami even gave it a name but unfortunately Jin couldn't remember it, all he knew was that it had the word Hell in it so it must've been tough, but Jin was well prepared for this, although he knew that it'd take mind boggling determination to pull through this tough regime, if anyone was gonna pull it off, it'd be Jin.
He shuffled himself out of bed and made his way to the showers, giving himself a thorough wash, he was no doubt going to need another one after the training, because he'd be working up a sweat, while Jin seriously didn't mind the Volcano village's heat, infact he found it rather nice half the time, but he'd be working up a sweat if he was going to be training his speed, it'd involve a lot of muscle building in the legs and a lot of running, and that took a lot of effort, but still, he was prepared for it.
He got out of the misty shower and wrapped a towel around himself, setting back off to his room and putting on a different attire, a white wifebeater and orange, complete with black boots, he put on his usual bone necklace that was given to him by his parents when he was a newborn, several carnivore teeth and a couple of feathers, and what appeared to be a dream catcher dangling down in the center, Jin didn't know why, but he actually felt like that necklace was mystical of sorts, but never really paid much attention to it apart from it just being a heirloom of sorts.
He walked downstais, house was empty, as per usual. His adopted parents were probably out at the market working, as they usually were in the morning, that or they had set off to pick fruit or retrieve shipments, it was a small business but it brought some food on the plate, and that was what mattered in the end.
He picked up a cup of miso soup, boiling some water and pouring the searing hot liquid onto the miso, placing a lid on the cup he walked outside, the heat was almost unbearable, but not for Jin, who had no issues drinking a beverage easily over 60 degrees in temperature, he was actually drinking the boiling Miso with little fuss, he began to sprint towards the gate, he figured he'd use this as an experience, trying to be light footed so he didn't spill any miso or make it shake around too much, eventually he made his way out of the village gates and towards the rendezvous point Yami had chosen, it appeared to be some form of volcanic cavern, a very strange one, as on one end, there was a waterfall with a cold temperature, and on the other hand a volcanic pool, with hot, relaxing water, Jin had seen this place before, this cave was probably the village's only redeeming feature, and he was happy that a lot of his training would be taking part in that area.
He saw a tent in the distance, that must be where they would be staying during the course of their training, Jin didn't mind, he'd have to get accustomed to sleeping in tents because some missions could be of the espionage ilk, and would require spending days or even months from home, so he'd better get used to sleeping in a tent.
He dashed towards the tent, sipping the now slightly cooler miso as he ran, he recognized Yami in the distance with what looked like a massive tiger/lion hybrid and a rather vicious looking dog, he slowed down about 20 meters away from the tent and walked towards it at a steady pace.
"Yami?"

The liger's lips turned up revealing his fangs as he began too growl. His claws dug into the ground as he turned his head noise sniffing the air picking up an unknown scent as he faced the direction it was coming from. The scent of Miso ramen hanging in the air and filling his nose as the scent got closer. Bester snarled as he put his right front paw forward fur standing on edge as his tail went stiff. The large dog turned as well having seen his fellow familiar going on edge. The dog opened his jaw revealing rows of razor shape fangs as he growled menacingly. As Jin entered the area the two familiar's snarled at the unknown human that was until Yami raised his right hand, "Bester, Cerberus down" The two animals backed off taking steps to the side letting Jin through as they sat on the ground.
Yami took a few steps forward waving to his team-mate getting closer with each step, "Glad you could make it" He stood a good two feet from Jin his familiar's eyeing them both carefully more so Jin then their owner encase he was a threat to their beloved master. Yami pointed his head in the direction of the giant Liger, "I suppose I should introduce my new familiar's. The Giant Liger is Bester" He then indicated his head to the dog, 'And he's Cerberus. Bester will be taking part in our speed training while Cerberus our strength training. Bester will be used encase either one of us starts to fall behind although he isn't as fast as we are after this training that will have improved. Even though he is still slower than us I doubt either of us would lie for him to bite a foot off that's something I can't heal" spoke Yami informing Jin to their presence here. Yami looked at Cerberus and indicated his head to the tent. The dog barked and walked off into the tent curling up to sleep until he was needed. The Medic moved his head indicating bester to walk over.
The six foot Liger stood up and walked over paws thudding across the earth. The liger's crimson eyes glanced over Jin as he stood by his Master claws glistening in the hot sun tail swaying back and forth through the air almost violently. The Medic placed his right hand atop Bester's head scratching him behind his right ear, "Come now Bester this is Jin he's my comrade so i expect you two to get along with one another all right" The liger growled in his throat before lying down on the ground paws under his chin.
Yami placed his hands together, "Drop your gear off by the tent and we can get our training started when ever your ready. If you have any questions feel free to ask them now as while we are running we probably won’t be talking all that much."

After Jin had arrived, he took a good look at the tent, it actually looked pretty comfortable, it looked like something an entire squad would use to sleep in, they definately had enough space for them and the animals to shelter in for the training sessions, he took a couple of sips of his miso, still pretty hot, he made some pretty good time then, but what Jin was really grateful for was the fact that they were out of the village, this place was a lot more pleasant to look at or be in than the village itself, and that was a serious issue, at least over here they were a lot less likely to be murdered and eaten or something equally as messed up, in all honesty Jinichi wished he could just never return to this place, he wanted to find out what happened to his clan, that'd result in heading to Kirigakure and that would definately be a tall order for him, he still wasn't informed of the village's destruction, so he risked being utterly shocked once he arrived, besides, it'd be better if they just did some missions first and got through the chuunin exams, that'd be a priority.
"Wow! You've really set all this up!" He marveled, this place was ideal for training, and honestly, he was very eager to get going, he was going to bring unparalelled determination to every precious minute of this training session, especially since, while Jin was fast, he wasn't the fastest ninja of all, he was rather strong though and did have a pretty powerful chakra network, those were pretty much his key attributes, along with the fact that he used Earth as an element, one of the rarer known elements but Doton did bring a lot of things to the table, with both defensive and offensive potential, not much could break through a dome of solid earth, and that was why he trained it, he'd be using the jutsu training time they had reserved very wisely, he was going to learn a lot of offensive and defensive Earth techniques, after all, if he needed to protect his teammates at least he'd have the necessary jutsu.
Jin looked at the familiars in a rather puzzled demeanor, he was tempted to touch them, but even if he wasn't the brightest bulb, they looked rather vicious so he just canned the idea and then paid attention to Yami, merely waving to the familiars, he heard what Yami was saying, turns out that these familiars were going to be used as motivation of sorts, they were certainly vicious enough to make him run if they were actually aiming to injure them. "Ah, I see." Jin replied, getting the jist of having these animals helping them in training.
"Alright." Jin spoke, dropping off his bag of extra clothes and food on one end of the tent.

Yami cracked his neck slightly before bringing his right arm across his chest slipping his left around the elbow beginning to do a series of stretched. He pulled his right arm across holding it in place for a few seconds before doing it with his left stretching out the muscles in his shoulders before lowering himself to the ground stretching his right leg out placing his right hand on his thigh and pushed down his foot on a right angle as he stretched out the muscles in his right leg before doing the same with his left as he went through each of his warm up stretches to avoid damaging his muscles by getting straight into the task. He pulled his right leg up grabbing it with his right foot behind his back holding it there before doing the same with his left. He placed his right hand on his hip and stretched out with his left leaning to the right before doing the same with the left side. He followed by a few stationary jobs as he loosened up the muscles in his entire body.
Yami approached the tent taking his cloak off letting it drop to the ground before pulling his hakama pants up revealing his kyahan shin leggings which he undid at the back and dropped to the ground freeing his legs up from their small weight. He undid his kimono top tossing it to the ground taking to his shorter sleeved shitagi shirt the sleeves stopping at his elbows. He removed his Hitai-ate from his golden kaku obi sash dropping it to the ground after removing the black cloth which he tied around his forehead to keep his hair from getting in his way. He used the end of the cloth to tie his hair up into a high single ponytail.
The Medic cracked his knuckles as he stepped up to the plate heading to the edge of their location facing away from the village where a long winding path was that lead up to a rocky path followed by a forest and up into the mountains where a number of active volcano's were and rugged terrain that would burn their muscles putting more strain on the body causing their bodies to work harder. Yami grinned mentally as he looked over his shoulder at Jin as Bester stepped up beside his master giving a loud roar like yawn. The medic fell into a starting position his right leg stretched out behind him both hands on the ground back up straight and right knee low nearly touching the earth. His eyes narrowed as he blocked out everything bringing himself into a zone, "Time to get this over and done with. I'm starting to grow tired of this village and I look forward to the day I will leave"
“When you start begin slowly with a jog until you get to rocky path approximately fifty metres away once you hit it build your speed up going into a slow run. The forest is another forty metres roughly once you hit the forest edge go all out no holding back no more pacing the distance through the forest to the mountains is five hundred metres from what I’ve been able to measure, calculate and estimate” spoke Yami informing Jin to the length and how to begin one’s training, “Once we hit the forest Bester will run off having given us a head start. Should we slack off and fall behind he will nip at our heels to encourage us to run faster”
