(Enter Skorn)
Skorn's foul presence pollutes the sacred area of the temple. If only the worshipped knew how unholy of a being had just entered their place of worship; why, they would have a fit! Chuckling at the silly fools who's minds had been corrupted by organized religion and society, Skorn takes a seat on a mat in the middle of the holy ground. The aesthetic beauty of the place serves to deceive the attendees of the true evil they were serving; what fools! Fools to worship any power and authority but their own! Yes, they were missing out on the true beauty of life. The beauty of making their own decisions and not having anyone or anything to tell them what to do. Skorn was free from these chains however, he knew no authority, and that was why there was nothing stopping him from what he was about to do today. Skorn further examines the falsified beauty of the holy grounds, while also scanning for any particular threat to his plans. The mat that the young man kneels upon is a deep crimson color, comparable in shade to Skorn's favorite beverage. Lifting his head and looking about the vast expanse, the place is as truly stunning as Skorn had previously thought it to be. The majestic marble ceiling is curved into a stately dome and sits an impressive 30 meters above the people on the floor. There are pillars of similar marble that stand at 4 adjacent points holding up this ceiling. The floor is crafted with complex masonry; taking the shape of a beautiful swirling pattern. Very intricate and delicate drawings line the curve of the ceilings, depicting a variety of beautiful scenes. There are angels, divine men conquering demons, children rejoicing in feast, among many other pictures. In the front of the large room is a golden altar, upon it lays a sacrificial velvet cloth, and two lit candles lay to the side of that. A large jar of perfumed oil lies on the floor adjacent to the altar, it is used to anoint sacrifices before they are sent up as offerings to the gods. Such an odd and useless tradition, or so Skorn thought. The odd part about this majestic temple was that there was no seating, simply violet prayer mats laid out 5 meters apart in the center of the expanse. Skorn was kneeling atop one of these mats as he observed all of these intricacies pertaining to the temple, it was always a good idea to some up your location before attacking. Yes, that’s right. Skorn was about to slaughter the inhabitants of this holy ground. What a shame, they had all come here for a peaceful day of prayer to their gods, they had just been unlucky enough to have Skorn spreading his message on the same day. You see, Skorn was trying to accomplish a point by destroying this temple and all of its inhabitants. His point was to show these ignoramuses that organized religion or society of any sort WAS NOT THE ANSWER. If they wanted to partake in these mindless activities, then they would incur punishments such as the one that was about to unfold. A bell rings, signaling the start of the service, as the 30 or so attendees of the religious ceremony take their places upon their mats. Just as the strange priest gets up to preform the supposedly sacred anointing of the altar, Skorn is upon him. Before the priest even knows what is going on, his throat is crushed as Skorn pins him against the wall with a powerful forearm. A chorus of screaming breaks out from the religious observers, who had seemed so peaceful before. Perhaps they realized that their religion was not going to help them this time. Not against Skorn. Grabbing the sacrificial knife that lies on top of the holy altar, Skorn begins to make his way through the temple, slaughtering any person who comes into his sight. Their first instinct is clearly to run for the front doors, but those were securely barricaded, there was no hope of them escaping through that exit. Slaughtering 5 men with the knife, in addition to the priest that he had killed, Skorn grows bored with this method. There is nowhere to hide within the confines of the temple, and there is no way out, so the attendees of the service resort to cowering in the corners and crevices of the room. Skorn decides to take advantage of the time that he has bought himself, and train a new technique that he has been working on. Skorn grabs a blank scroll off a nearby surface; it was a school that the priest was going to use for sacred writing in the blood of the slaughtered sacrifice. Skorn then whips out a pen and a bottle of ink that he carries in his cloak for his Fuinjutsu. Opening the scroll, Skorn begins to craft delicate seals upon it. The people inside of the temple begin to calm down, they suspect that it might have been an isolated outburst; yet they are puzzled by the fact that Skorn is drawing. These simple civilians have no way of knowing the gravity of Skorn’s actions. Now Skorn is not amazingly skilled in the sealing arts yet, so it takes him a few minutes to craft the seal that he had desired, but he does not know how he should use it. The scroll is small, its parchment encompassing the same surface area as about 5 pages in a book. Yet, Skorn is relieved when he looks behind him to find a pile of 20 or so identical scrolls. Geez, this was great! He could practice his Fuinjutsu all he wanted WHILE killing all of these stupid people. The seal that he had crafted was the same one found on exploding tags; a common shinobi tool. These civilians had no idea what they were in for. There is a couple in the back corner, an old man and an old woman; they are approximately 10 meters from Skorn. It was not a very large room. He tosses the scroll with the seal on it, and it unravels as it goes, eventually landing next to the man and the woman. They are confused at first, simply staring at the strange writing; that is, until Skorn forms the tiger hand sign. With a moderate sized explosion, a ball of flame tears the old man and woman apart with a loud boom. Blood and pieces of their frail bodies are sent flying. A new symphony of screams erupt throughout the impure ground. The people resume their frantic running. Some are clawing at the doors, windows, and even walls, trying to escape, but there is no hope of that. Sighing, Skorn grabs another scroll from the pile. He is feeling a bit more secure with his skills in sealing, and this time he will try to craft a bomb that is a bit larger and more destructive than the others. Ignoring the feeble weaklings running around and howling bloody murder, Skorn goes to work. He crafts a seal of about the same size, but he has grown a bit more familiar with the technique, picking apart each individual part of the jutsu and analyzing its method from the time he did it previously. He seals a bit more chakra into the makeshift weapon this time, and the explosion that is sealed is a bit more potent. This time, Skorn chucks the scroll into a group where 6 men and women are cowering, yet, they know what is up this time. They try to flee, but before they can scatter, the tiger seal is already upon Skorn’s hands, and the explosion is much larger than it was before. The ball of flames is not only two times as large, but the fire is hotter and the explosion happens with much more oomf behind it. The boom is much louder as more blood and body parts are scattered. Skorn decides that it is time to end this silly little endeavor. There is a large stained glass window 30 meters above him, that yields to the outdoors. The civilians will have no way of getting at this, but Skorn can use the Surface Walking Technique to get to it. Before focusing chakra to his feet, he grabs the sacrificial knife and slices the priest’s arm off in one fell swoop. This will make for a good snack a bit later on. Focusing chakra to the soles of his feet, Blazing walks up the wall and across the sealing; when he is upside down and next to the stained glass window, he kicks it. The 3x3 meter window shatters, sending shards of multi-colored glass raining down upon the people directly beneath him. He proceeds to walk over the glass, his shoes protecting him from being cut, and out of the temple. Now on the roof, Skorn goes to work on crafting the ultimate seal. It takes him an hour or so, but he draws hundreds of those powerful exploding seals along the whole right side of the temple. It’s not like the civilians inside have any way to get out anyways. Leaping down from the building and making good distance between himself and the structure, Skorn is excited to try his new little maneuver. Forming the same hand seal, the whole side is engulfed in flames and a massive explosion, which sends the whole building tumbling over. There is no longer any sound; there are no survivors. Skorn takes a look at the fragmented pentagram that had been on the temple’s door. Yes. This was not an ordinary religious service full of good people; these people were Satanists. Oh yeah, you know that altar? It was for sacrificing people. Normally innocent babies. Pathetic. With the snack of the Priest of Satan’s arm in his hand, Skorn makes his way back to town, as this temple was very secluded and on the outskirts of Sunagakure. Nobody would even have been able to hear the explosion. Skorn feels like he has accomplished something today, he has not only learned a new jutsu, but his chakra reserves feel larger and stronger. Yes, this brutal massacre was just another day of training for the boy.
