Raiden Spars With Tee in Kumo Mountains (Private)
Fri Jun 21, 2013 11:50 pm
Sparring with Tee would be fun. It always was. They, in the past, had always come close in their spars, even at the academy. So now, as Raiden Kaguya sat stationary, and cross-legged on the floor, he waited for his opponent to arrive, so that they could have a fun fight that Raiden could learn from, as he always did with Tee. He sparred with Tee very often, as he had learned many techniques from Tee, and Tee had learned many from him. In a way, they had trained each other to become the rising Shinobi they were today. Raiden had often expressed his dream of becoming Raikage to Tee, he told him that he would become Raikage no matter what it took. He told him that he would become the man that had the responsibility of protecting the entire village, and that he would not fail at that responsibility, at any point during his life. He wanted to become the man that helped young ninja evolve into powerful ninja who shared the same dream as he did, who wanted to become strong, not for power, but to be able to protect his loved ones.
Raiden Kaguya is often-times mistaken for someone much older than he, because of his height at 190.50cm tall. His body is like that of an athlete, as he is not too large to lose manueverability, but is muscular at the same time, weighing in at 87kg. He has a fairly dark tan, which emplifies his muscle tone and definition, making him seem a lot stronger than he is in actuality. Raiden's eyes are nothing special, green, with both eyes aligned with each other; he is not cross-sighted. He has trouble picking up girls because of the bridge of his nose, which instead of being curved, is fairly straight, making it seem rather large. He has high cheekbones, a trait he very noticeably picked up from his mother, and besides a few scars, he would have flawless skin. One, and the most notable of which, is a scar running from the bottom of his left earlobe, to the back of his neck and writing the word resolve in a cursive font. He had branded himself with the word resolve on the back of his neck. Today, Raiden wore a simple white Kimono, with a black, tie-on belt around the waist, holding it from flapping when he moved around. The upper portion of the Kimono opens into a 'V', exposing his black shirt beneath, and closes again beneath the black belt. The lower portion of the Kimono is straight and simple white, with the bottom of the pant leg flipped, exposing the black fabric that laces the underside of his Kimono. Raiden's shoes are a simple black sandals, similar to most Shinobi of his time.
Raiden was sitting in an area in the mountains that he had used many times in his spars with Tee. It was a secret place that only the two of them knew about, and Raiden had built much of it on his own, with the help of his step-father. It was a solid stone circle, about 20 meters wide, with four stone pillars spaced evenly apart on the edges of the stone circle. They were each 10 meters tall, and had the crest of the Kaguya Clan etched into them, as well as the symbol for Kumogakure. Raiden had done all the menial labor making this small arena, as part of his strength training. While his step-father told him how to do it, Raiden had moved the large boulders alone, split them and shape them accordingly, dig the holes needed, and put them in place. It was a source of pride for Raiden, as it was the first task of hard and bitter work he had done, and he had done it alone.
Raiden himself was becoming a part of nature. He was completely motionless; he sat completely and utterly still, and he allowed himself to fall deeply into his subconscious. He was falling... falling on the inside of his mind, from just behind the only source of light that was where his eyeballs were, and he was falling into a cloud of impenetrable darkness. When everything had become completely dark, Raiden entered a state completely connected him to nature. It was no Ninjutsu, it was simply a state of heightened awareness. He could hear the snakes rustling in the grass 25 meters behind him, and he could hear the birds singing and chirping from far away. It was a state of eternal bliss, and it allowed him to achieve complete calmness. He was in a meditative state that many Sages could not even achieve. All that was left now was to wait for his opponent. He spoke, "Lets go, Tee. The fun will begin soon."

A smile graced the lips of Raiden. He heard a fox yelp in the distance, which allowed him to deduce that Tee would be in the general area. His senses, in their extremely sensitive state, picked up Tee's footsteps. He recognized his friend's footsteps, because he always walked in the same, calm and steady manner. He would love the following fight, as he did every fight with Tee, because he learned every time. He stood at Tee's words and opened his eyes. His smile was incredibly warm, almost as if he had not seen his friend in years. He spoke in a sage-like voice. "I am ready. If you would like, I will make the first attack." Rather than waiting for an answer, Raiden instead began his attacks. He wanted to see this electric shield of his friend in action, and possibly learn its secrets.
Raiden knew, and he knew that Tee knew, that this fight would be close and it would be fun. Raiden, for the first time, took his attention away from nature, and focused completely on Tee. He would need to. Raiden took off towards his opponent, at an average speed just barely more than a jog. His movements were graceful and flowed fluently, giving the reasoning for his clan to name their techniques after "flower dances" as his movements were as beautiful as a flower, and his movements flowed... well, like a dance. It was the manner of all of those in his clan to fight with elegance and grace, and it could almost decieve one to forget the true bloodlust anf ferocity of the Kaguya Clan. It was strange how Raiden did not share this bloodlust, most of the time. The only time this ferocity shone through was in the heat of battlel, when Raiden allowed all his motions to break forth.
He decided he would move with basic Taijutsu for now to warm up himself and Tee, as he took a forward step and, with his left, dominate hand, swung toward the gut of his opponent, and just after, he swung with his right fist. Neither would do much damage were they to hit, but they would determine the momentum of the battle, and such was important in his battles with Tee. When battling with Tee, every step would count, and the first to mess up would usually lose. Their battles could draw out to be slug matches at most times, leaving them both to collapse from exhaustion. It would be time for his opponent to respond now, and Raiden's eyes narrowed, ready for anything.
Stamina = 9/9

It was not uncommon for Raiden to lead with Taijutsu mainly, this being because he liked to gauge his opponent's strength before he actually began the realy fight. Tee managed to dodge his first punch, but the second landed cleanly, and there was a dull thud on contact. Rather than advance his attack, Raiden looked for his opponent to counter, so as to not be caught off-guard. He was a bit confused as to why Tee was hesitating so much today, and thought he should keep the bout moving slow for a bit longer, deciding to let Tee take the fight into seriousness when he was reasy. Raiden often fought conservatively like this, and it would not change today. A smile once more graced the lips of Raiden as a thought passed swiftly through his mind, the first time he and Tee had ever fought. It was in the academy, when they were being taught basic attacks and defenses, and Tee had managed to cleanly land his blows on Raiden multiple times. He would show Tee today that he would not be beaten so easily today, and the scar that said "Resolve" on the back of his neck began to prickle.
One thing that amazed Raiden about Tee was he always had a counter for everything. So, just as Raiden's fist had landed, Tee began his own assault. Just as Tee came up with his uppercut to Raiden's jaw, he tilted back in the slightest, just enough to allow his friend's fist to pass right by his face, harmlessly. As this happened, Raiden saw the right leg of his friend come up, aiming directly at his ribcage. Raiden's left forearm came up to meet the leg, and he blocked the hit with little to no difficulty. He spoke to Tee just after defending the blow, "Tch. Tee, you seem slow today. Pick it up, man!" It was not like Tee to fight so... hesitantly. It was almost as if he were contemplating his next move even as he was doing his next move. This was strange indeed, but Raiden would not allow it to slow his assault, for his way to wake Tee up would be to make him realize that if he didn't wake up, he would end up being beaten to a bloody pulp... and that was never fun.
Just after speaking, Raiden took a step back from his opponent. He would show him his newly awakened Shikotsumyaku now. A large hole opened in his right shoulder, and from it, the handle of what seemed to be the handle of a blade emerged. Raiden grabbed hold of this blade, and when he pulled it out, it was a dagger made of the incredibly dense bones of the Kaguya. Seperating the handle from the blade was what resembled a joint, and from there extended two feet of the blade. Raiden flipped the Bone Dagger in his left hand to hold it in an upside-down manner, and rushed in once more, swiping across his chest in front of him, aiming at his opponent's chest. It, were it to hit, would leave a cut in the chest of his opponent in a diagonal motion, with the lower section on Tee's right.

Good, good. He'd regained his previous demeanor. Tee was moving faster now, and he was fighting purely on his battle instinct. No more hesitations... nothing blocking the two warriors from going all-out. A single hesitation in a fight where one put their life on the line would end that life, and it could go beyond that life, eventually ending the person's village, their country. As such, a Shinobi must never hesitate. A Shinobi must always hold a decisiveness that shall never waver, and they must do whatever it takes to protect themselves and their village, their loved ones. It was the way of all Shinobi. What if one were to be on the battlefield, with a Shinobi force approaching them? What would happen if they took all their time deciding on what to do, and by that time, they had no more time to do what they had decided upon? What then? Allow their village to be run over, and ransacked? It is what will happen to someone who is indecisive on the battlefield.
When Tee dodged his attack, it meant it was time to fight. It meant Tee was on his toes now, and he was ready. And so, when Tee had dodged his attack, Raiden's forward momentum carried him a step past his opponent, in which case his right leg was behind his left leg, and they were about a half meter apart. Tee withdrew a Kunai, and he began a strike at Raiden's right leg, the leg that fell behind the other. To evade, Raiden lifted his right leg while turning clockwise, using his momentum to attempt to plug Tee in the face. The hit would not do much... maybe black an eye. But it was a way to defend Tee's attack and counterattack in the same movement, while simultaneously interrupting Tee's next movement. Raiden then switched his bone dagger into his once again usable right hand, and, still spinning clockwise towards his opponent's face, threw the dagger with his right hand towards his opponent's left shoulder.
At this point-blank distance, Raiden highly doubted that Tee would be easily able to dodge both attacks, and he thought it would be a chance to finally see that Electrical Shield Tee had told him about... but he refused to tell Raiden much about it, and Raiden expected that Tee wanted to show it to him in the heat of battle. It was something Tee had done for a long time; whenever he had something new to show Raiden, he would show it to him when it needed to be used, or done. Raiden remembered back at the Academy days, when Tee had a new Shurikenjutsu, and while Raiden had begged obsessively for Tee to show it to him, Tee had refused, claiming he would show it to him when it was time, and ONLY when it was time. Raiden smirked a bit at Tee's habit. It was a bit annoying at times, but Tee's habits seemed to always be... theatrical, to say the least.

Re: Raiden Spars With Tee in Kumo Mountains (Private)

(I got bored in the spar, and I am a bit busy, so I am ending it :P)
This was a blast. Raiden's reflexes were being tested more than any other time he was sparring with Tee, and he truely felt as if he was struggling to keep up. It was odd for Tee to keep up with Raiden in Taijutsu, because usually the young warrior had to take his advantage in Ninjutsu. It made Raiden smile, because his friend was just as powerful as he, and they were so evenly matched, that they graduated the academy with the exact same scores, and the exact same grades -- of course in different areas, but the total was the same. Raiden had begun with the advantage in this fight, having landed the first blow, but Tee recovered quickly and managed to keep up.
Raiden's foot made contact on Tee's face, but something a bit... unexpected, one could say, happened. I cloak of Lightning eveloped Tee, making it seem much like the Raikage's Raiton: Armour, though on a much smaller scale. So this... must be his jutsu. Raiden made contact, and, because of the force he had kicked with, was thrown backwards, onto his back. When he hit the ground, he used his backward momentum to roll onto his feet. Just as Raiden had ended up on his feet, a Kunai landed in the stone, near his foot. Heh. Tee really had improved at Taijutsu. A smile welled on Raiden's lips, and a laugh burst forth. "Ahahaahaah, you just knocked me on my ass. Ok, ok, I drew your Jutsu out, we're done now."
Raiden had achieved his goal in this spar, as it was to draw out this Jutsu. He had to almost force Tee to show him any of the Jutsu he made, and that is what he had attempted at doing. He spoke once more. "Man, you have GOT to teach me that. It is just like the Raikage's Lightning Armour!!" Raiden's radio sprang to life, and he heard his mother's voice.
"Raiden, sweety, you need to come hime now, it's time for dinner."
Raiden smiled. He and his family would be having Chili tonight. Happily, he replied, "Yes mother!" He waved goodbye to Tee, and without a second thought he started up the mountain to Kumogakure.
