Haru rolled his eyes, standing with his arms folded. His jobs got more and more pathetic. Today he got to sit in an elderly women's garden and wait for a raccoon. He then had to make sure it didn't get hurt, just to scare it. He actually had a pretty good idea on how to scare it, he just had to wait. Sure enough, eventually, a small pattering confirmed that the raccoon was here. He saw a pair of eyes pop around the corner, and quickly pop back behind the wall. In an instant, Haru was next to the raccoon, around the wall, couching and looking it in the eyes.
"Looking for something?" He asked the creature. With a loud yelp, it dashed away, behind a tree. Haru stood up, walking slowly towards it.
"Listen, there's plenty of other places to get food." He said, nearing the creature. "You're a raccoon. Scavenge the garbage in the city." He offered. The raccoon peeked out again. Haru shrugged, walking back to the door. He leaned against the wall, slowly sliding to the ground, and closing his eyes. Hopefully, the raccoon would stay away, and he could get a nice nap in.
Haru's eyes snapped open. The raccoon was back. He stood up lazily, walking over to the animal silently.
"She doesn't want you here. This woman grew that food for herself." He said, poking the raccoon in the back. It turned, hissed at him, and jumped at his face. Haru rolled away, stood up, and started charging his fury. He released it, and he became his much more fearsome alternate self, his fury form. The raccoon whimpered, turned, and ran. Haru sat back down, still in the fury. He doubted the raccoon would be back soon. He sat there long after hi fury faded, and slowly drifted off to sleep. The next morning, he sat up, looked around, and saw that the raccoon had not returned nothing was out of place. He stood up, brushed off his arms, and knocked on the door.
"Yes?" Said the woman as she opened the door.
"That raccoon shouldn't be a problem any longer. I scared him off pretty well." Said Haru, shaking her hand. He headed back to the HQ, collected his money, and headed home to catch up on the sleep he'd missed out on after that mission. He took the elevator to his floor, got out, headed home, and fell into bed.
