Haru walked through the streets with his hands in his pockets, a small girl following closely at his heels. Apparently, the ANBU trainee was still only allowed to do E and D rank missions by himself, so today, he got a little taste of where he came from, what he was doing at the very beginning of his ninja career. And honestly, it was a little refreshing not to have someone or something trying to kill you on the job for once. Still, this particular job was a little lackluster for his tastes. The girl looked over at him, noticing he seemed to be daydreaming.
“Over here is where I lost it.” She said, looking up futilely. Haru sighed, activating his byakugan.
“I’ll find it, just give me a sec to look around.” He said, focusing on the rooftops, looking for where the balloon had caught. After a few moments, he spotted it, the bright red balloon, a few blocks away from them. “Bingo. I’ve got it.” He said, beginning to walk casually down the street.
“You found it?” Asked the girl. Haru nodded, wondering why a balloon was this important to her. He reached the base of the building where the balloon was caught, stretching his arms, and cracking his knuckles as he stepped up onto the side of the building.
“This will only be a moment.” Said Haru, gesturing for the girl to stay there. He started walking up the side of the building, picking up his speed slowly as he moved towards the top. Looking around at the upside down streets of Tenga, he began daydreaming about how much easier this would be if he could fly. He wished he had a move that allowed him to do that… Maybe a pair of wings? He’d have to look into a method like that soon. He still had a small bit of Ryo left over from his recent purchases, maybe he could find something… But until then, he would just have to be content with walking. As he reached the top of the building, he snatched up the balloon, untangling the string from the rail it was caught on, and tying a rock to the bottom of the string. As it sank down, Haru climbed a little further up the building, to the highest point, where he looked around the city for a moment. What a great view he had from up here… a shame he couldn’t stay for longer. Hopping off the building, he spread his arms out, slowly turning in the air so that his arms and legs were spread, his back to the ground, spinning a little more into a straight dive, as he landed in a hotel pool on the ground level. He pulled himself out of the water, refreshed from the little dive he’d just taken, which had quite possibly just been the high dive world record. He walked back out to the girl, just as the balloon drifted to the ground. The girl thanked him, running off back home. Haru sighed, mimicking her, and going to get some dry clothes.
