Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Fri Sep 13, 2013 2:07 am

Spoiler:

Taking a few steps forward out from undernethe his southern entrance, he slightly winced, his eyes adjusting to the sudden brightness. looking down as he walked down the narrow bridge he looked at the location he had fell his first opponent.  The blood had been long removed but the memory yet remained fresh in crono's mind. .

His red hair dangling below his white headband. He wore a yellow bandana around his neck and a blue komono undernethe. at his hip he wore his onimaru katana, a leaf insignia enscribed near the neck of it's saya just above the guardia families own crest. just above the katana's hilt a tanto was worn, pressing against crono's wrist as he walked. His right hand resting on his katana. on his left hip he wore a small blue satctule containing a few items. his tan pants were quite baggy and flowed down to his brown boots.

he wondered slightly about his opponent, If he would be able to defeat him. Doubt had been cleared from his mind as he began his previous fight with Sokka, a fight that was disappointingly over much too quickly. He could feel his pride swell slightly before quickly being silenced by crono's internal reciting of the bushido code. "overconfidence in ones skills leads to underestimating ones opponent" he said to himself as he began to climb the stairs.

the roars of the crowd were almost deafening as he would be the first to arrive, Crono would pay them no mind, he wasn't here for them. upon reaching the top of the stairs. Remaining at the edge of the top of the stairs he would turn to his left and throw out a handful of salt from within his pouch. he would turn clockwise to the other side of the arena and throw out another handful. His opponent still nowhere in sight. Then turning back toward the center he would kneel down, placing his hands ahead of him fingers inward, he'd touch his head to his hands, bowing to the hokage out of respect and then towards the center of the ring, where he would only arise shortly after his opponent arrived. the salt would purify the arena, and the bow would show humility and respect to his ancestors, his leaders, and his opponent.  If he was to win, it would be with honor or not at all.

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Statistical Info:

Finally arriving at the arena, Corvin was again met with the uproar of the crowd as he entered from the northern entrance. He moved to a point 10 meters from the edge of the center ring and looked around at the crowd as he set his large iron gourd on the ground five feet behind him.

Corvin Kinzokutei looked across the arena at his opponent through the eyes of his puppet Anima. He hid within the over seven foot tall puppet at all times for protection. Anima, not only being so very tall, was also nearly five feet wide, and the reason for it became evident when he tossed aside his black cloak. Anima had the body of a massive tortoise standing on its hind legs who had the arms and hands of a human and the head of an elephant. After setting the cloak aside, Corvin tested various mechanisms within his puppet just out of habit more than anything else. Satisfied, he sent two chakra threads to two scrolls on the belt of his now discarded cloak and tossed them into the air. Out of the scrolled appeared two puppets, which Corvin connected chakra threads to and had them stand side by side five feet in front of Anima. On the left (that is to say Corvin's left) stood the puppet named Grey. Humanoid and standing only about five feet tall, Grey wore the same long black cloak with a high collar and a hood that Anima wore before discarding it. From each palm, Grey extended foot long blades and got into a ready position. On the right stood the puppet name the Doctor. The Doctor, also humanoid standing roughly five foot five, wore the same black cloak as the other puppets, but had a metallic box on its back. From that box, four long metal arms extended out and waved slightly around while the Doctor too stood in a ready position.

Corvin eyed his two puppets and knew that he was ready. Having Anima extend a long blade running the length of its forearms from each arm, Anima too stood in a ready position. He was as ready physically and mentally as he would ever be for this match. Locking his eyes on his opponent, he waited for the match to start.

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Sat Sep 14, 2013 10:49 pm
Crono arose, his eyes locked as he watched his opponent toss his cloak, revealing himself to be a massive metallic elephant turtle. Crono shifted his eyes, feeling his surroundings. something about this felt wrong. This "creature" wasn't a ninja, was it some sort of armor? Was it a distraction to keep him from noticing his opponent's true location... or perhaps, somehow was this creature once a ninja? Crono let that thought pass from his mind, rationalizing that such a nin would not take part within the chunnin exams, the jonin exam perhaps.

Two scrolls floated upwards from the discarded cloak, unraveling themselves and exploding into two more creatures in cloaks, both of which at least seemed humanoid. three opponents? crono wondered if that was all or if there wasn't another one or two out there, summoned already outside his line of sight prior to the accendance of the elephant turtle and waiting to strike.

Crono took a ready position, his right hand gripping the neck of his saya while his left gripped the tsuka of his katana and fell into an Iaido stance to prepare himself. he was unsure of exactly what was about to occur with his opponent. "if I had to guess" crono thought to himself, " only the big one in the center looks large enough to hide someone inside. " the other two just being summoned ruled them out, but the single fact that it would be possible that someone could be inside, didn't mean someone was. If the big creature was hollow, it could be a portable holding cell and getting close to it could be a trap.

Crono would stare the constructs down. Eyeing them for any visible flaws or weaknesses, his brother's voice echoed in his head, a reminder from previous training. "when fighting an armored foe, the armor is almost always weakest at the joints". these weren't what Crono would consiter "armored" but right now that logic was the only thing he currently had to go on until he learned more about his foe, he would watch and wait for him to make the first move.

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Sat Sep 14, 2013 11:34 pm
Corvin watched his opponent get into a defensive stance. Neither of them seemed to know a thing about the other, and it seemed his opponent was content to wait him out until he made the first move. Fortunately, Corvin was happy to oblige. The two puppets out in front of Anima suddenly jet forward at full speed (puppet speed: 160). They crisscross one another a few times while making their way across the arena toward Crono. The Doctor stops roughly 15 meters ahead of Crono while Grey darts forward. When it reaches roughly ten feet from Crono, Grey suddenly changes course in a feint maneuver and flies at an angle until he reaches about 20 feet above Crono.

As the feint occurs, Corvin watches Crono carefully for any sign that he can even detect the puppets at their fastest, and if he can what counter he attempts. If Corvin sees Crono make a move for Grey either before the feint or after when Grey is in the air, the Doctor will make a lunge forward while beginning to spin the ends into chakra blades until his combat arms can reach him at full extension and make an attempt to slice off each of his four limbs with the four arms at once making sure to move around Grey where appropriate (arms move at puppet speed, sharpness of swung blades: 210). If Crono makes no move toward Grey, then it will remain hovering above him prepared to counter a move toward him. In the latter case, the Doctor will remain where he is, also prepared for a counter move should it be attacked.

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Sun Sep 15, 2013 3:27 am
The moment a puppet vanished from sight Crono's eyes would glow a dark blue, activating his gamma trance returning clarity to his vision. His now hightened senses giving Crono a more complete image of the battlefield. He could now smell his opponent's scent. it was quite strong on all three of the constructs, as well as the iron jar laying on the ground, however the source of the scent was coming from the construct with the strongest odor, the elephant turtle. The possibility of the scent being purposely planted to draw him into a trap, was erased the moment crono began to hear a heart beat faintly echoing from inside the construct.  His true opponent must be inside the massive suit of armor. So far, the two coming to attack him, were only distractions.

judging from the way they move, they must be puppets, which would make his opponent a puppet master, and judging from the speed of the puppet's movements... a pretty good one. One cannot trust a puppet to fight conventionally. he disliked the idea, but it can't be helped... he would have to destroy the puppets.

Crono noticed that the Dr. puppet had finally stopped moving, settling into what crono could only assume to be a defensive stance, the other puppet, charging merrily toward him still less then a meter away from the Dr.  if Crono was to make a move, this would be it right now, while both of them were in close proximity and in direct path ahead of him. Crono took three large steps forward in a charge, his hands still in their previous positions, progressing 2 meters ahead while chakra was being charged within his blade, threatening to explode out from within it's saya. with a flick of his right thumb Crono's sword moved a quarter of an inch out of it's scabbard before he would instantly vanish from sight. The instant crono's sword began to leave his saya, his eyes took on a glowing blue tone as he began to preform the Ku zu ryu sen from an Iaido stance while activating his samurai sabre technique: vorpal infusion upon his sword. He dashed forward in a single leap drawing his blade. the act of using it in conjunction with the iaido quick-draw further increasing both the speed and potency of the attack. The vorpal energy upon his body gave birth to 8 seperate blades spanning out from his body, like a cloak of bladed wings pointed ahead of him, each one threatening to rip apart anything they touch as violently as a tornado cutting a path through a town. Grey was the first target of his attack, should it strike the attack would have passed through him as easy as a chainsaw through butter. the Doctor however being sturdier, should the attack hit, would have cleaner cuts, more like a hot knife through butter. if hit, each of the blades would strike both puppets in the following areas, each cut overlapping another cut. horizontally across the chest [right to left and left to right], vertically from head to crotch and crotch to head, left shoulder to right hip[and reversed], and right shoulder to left hip[and reversed], Crono's blade itself would be piercing where their heart's would be after the other 8 blades attacked,  attacking both puppets moments apart from each other. if hit, the slashes from the hip to the shoulder would cut the doctor puppet directly through the center of each of his four extra arms. the horizontal slashes cutting through the puppet's main arms. crono's sword would cut through the center of the doctor cutting through the center of the black box on his back. unlike grey, the doctor could possibly be salvaged as the cuts are much cleaner and precise. any blades being wielded by the puppets instantly shattering as they touched the vorpal energy prior to reaching crono. should the attack hit, any chakra threads attached to the puppets would most likely be severed due to this attack. Crono would reappear a single moment later behind the Dr. puppet, crono's sword completely out of it's sheath, his arm extended directly out ahead of him, in a kneeling position. if the attack was successful, Grey would then instantly explode, it's body almost completely destroyed as it appeared to be ripped apart. The Dr. puppet would shutter for a moment as the after effects of the attack would be slightly delayed from the keen cuts before falling down in a heap of parts, seemingly also destroyed. assuming success, Crono would instantly jump back to the left, placing more distance between himself and the final puppet a range of 20 meters, with crono being now 7 meters to the edge of the stage, and about 13 meters from his original starting point.

looking toward the big puppet, Crono would speak to Corvin. "Surrender, and I wont destroy your big shiny toy." his blade still engulfed with vorpal chakra from the Samurai Sabre Technique.

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Well I was asked to look at this and we have a few problems.

1.) Your gonna need to type one solid move Crono, not one, then another in a spoiler.

2.) The move is an auto-hit, despite you trying to speed blitz and the likeliness of it going through, you still have to list it as a possibility. This that needs to be fixed as a 1st strike out of 3.

3.) Your health is crap bro, your hitting 390 for attack speed which is still the speed your moving, with only 28 health. If this attack goes through you pretty much destroyed every muscle in your body and tore them all to bits for going that fast, along with losing layers of skin from the wind due to that speed. If you had around 60 or 70 then maybe you could do this fine, but you only have 28 and messed your body up something bad =/ Not to mention any impact force applied on your arms after your blade thrusts into the 400 health puppet, yes it has a good amount of sharpness, but that does not mean your arms do not feel anything.

So you are gonna have to see if Corvin will let you repost or something, otherwise when you fix the auto hitting edit, your going to be falling over bleeding and screaming after cutting through those two puppets

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

the attack moves twice as fast as the user and has it's sharpness doubled based on the total speed.

[I did make a miscalculation. I was remembering the initial form of the move that was "double speed and sharpness for the attack" this means crono was only moving 195 speed. the formation of the vorpal chakra blades and their cutting speed when slashing a target would be 390. in the editing post where I i posted the change I clarified "that this isn't a buff to the user but is the actual power and speed of the technique itself"

as far as the impact force effecting my arms, the vorpal blades being 2-3 yrds ahead of me would have already cut the puppet 8 times before my sword pierced the center of the slashes. impact would be low as the chakra blades cut depending on the positioning of my sword, and pull the target to that point. impact of cutting a point would be like stabbing the center of an already sliced pizza.

the change in my speed should still be enough to not change the effects of the post. anyway fixing my previous post as instructed right now.]

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Tue Sep 17, 2013 6:15 pm
That does not make any sense, the reason being this section here.

the attack moves twice as fast as the user and has it's sharpness doubled based on the total speed. if the initial strike lands, even if blocked or parried, the other 8 slashes will instantly attack the other areas as listed above with the same speed, sharpness, and power.
All of it counts as the attack, including the blade thrust. The jutsu itself doubles your speed during the action. Read through the rest of it, it mentions multiple times your physical body being included in "the attack". You can state what you want in the debating phase, but when the application is completed, we take what is on the app for what the jutsu does.

So, unless Corvin would like to let you repost, my verdict is that after you cut the puppets your falling over with your muscles destroyed, multiple layers of skin gone, and blood everywhere.

Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia Empty Re: Round Three: Corvin Kinzokutei Vs. Crono Guardia

Tue Sep 17, 2013 6:48 pm
yes it does, and if you are reading it that way. then you are mistaken. I even went out of my way to say that it doesn't buff the user and got reapproval for that. all the power of the attack is in the vorpal chakra. blades creation speed, the speed they attack with, the sharpness of the technique. it has a 6 yard range from the user and lasts for a 15 yards dash.

the attack moves twice as fast as the user and has it's sharpness doubled based on the total speed. if the initial strike lands, even if blocked or parried, the other 8 slashes will instantly attack the other areas as listed above with the same speed, sharpness, and power

each of the 8 slashes attack the other areas with the same speed sharpness and power... the 8 vorpal slashes. the user doesn't slash anything... he stabs. the attack even says that the power of the vaccume of the pull that is created is based on the ave speed/str of the user and not the speed/str of the attack. the speed of a person slashing a sword is not the same speed as the sword being slashed.

the reason behind making the change of the attack was so I can make a personal jutsu later that buffs my own stats, like lightning release armor and use it in conjunction with this.

I still say if you are going this route viper, that he broke his fingers when he moved his puppets with his 10 health.. if 1/2 of his speed is chakra and 1/2 of his is speed stat and then +80 from chakra... whats the difference here.... if not breaking his fingers then burning them with the chakra by overloading them with enough chakra to increase his puppets speed and strength by 240 stats. 1/2 my speed is physical and 1/2 chakra enhanced in your version of events.
