Chilling with the plebeians [P]

With a glimpse, Naoki would spot movement. Movement that a few minutes ago he could hardly track, was not fairly clear, while still very fast. The movement was that of Kaede - he was approaching Naoki and due to his high speed there was but a little bit of time to prepare for anything. Having spent a couple moments analyzing the environment Naoki reached a conclusion that there was nothing he could use, not least not to defend against this. The man's Sharingan steadily followed village leader's approach. He would have expected another blast of those chain, seeing how they proved to be quite successful before, Naoki realizing they most likely were made to miss on purpose. Instead, it appeared that Kaede would attempt to engage him in hand to hand. While he no doubt possessed higher physical capabilities, speed included, Naoki's eyes gave him an advantage here, also with the five element seal all he needed was a single jab to win this fight. Preparing for the encounter he assumed a stance, raising the right hand backwardly holding the kunai in front while holding the left back at his side forged into a fist. His sharingan caught that Kaede was focusing chakra at his feet - no doubt in order to counteract sand's not too stable nature, allowing him to move unimpaired. While observing this Naoki could not help it but also notice Shinto performing a lot of hand seals in the background. The technique, while not entirely clear, seemed to be of a moderate caliber. Water would rise from the ocean forming into a fierce dragon head above the three. It would then start descending with enough force to crush down any of them. Unfortunately it appeared to have been aimed at the spot from which Kaede began his run, which was completely out of range now. Even if unsuccessful, this provided some perspective into Shinto's abilities. If he was capable of using techniques like that, then it was clear he was quite adept at ninjutsu and the elements, both sort of expected of members of his clan actually. Maybe he would prove to be useful later, but right now Naoki had to focus on the problem at hand. Surviving this clash was his priority, what came after it.... would come after it, it was secondary.

As Kaede was now getting quite close, there was no more time to theorize. Instead he would completely depend on the information provided by his eyes. He never had experienced such insight before, with it he might just.... otherwise all Kaede had to do was use those chains again and the fight would be over, without Naoki's sharingan it would have been over already. The Uzumaki's every motion would be observed to the finest of details. It was from these details that Naoki would know what kind of attack the man had in mind for him - a kick to the lower part of Uchiha's left leg. This attack if successful would no doubt cripple him for the fight if not provide an opening for Kaede to finish the fight right there. As Kaede was only beginning this move, Naoki had to quickly choose between three counters he could come up with at that exact instant. Either jump over the kick, which would most likely leave him in a vulnerable position; try to interrupt the move with the kunai, which did not appear lightly to happen; and lastly the action he decided to take. Making a single step with the left foot forward he would easily avoid the kick as Kaede's leg would pretty much fly by, at least the part of it that was really dangerous. Unless he somehow managed to spin his whole body and increase the kick's torque, the kick was no longer a worry. However that was not all to his action. The hand holding the kunai would start going down as the blade would be switched, now the pointy end directed at the leader as if preparing to lunge into his heart. In the mean time the left hand formerly clenched in a fist would now bloom, revealing the purple flames of five elements. It would shoot forward aiming to hit Kaede's upper chest, right below his throat. What made this attack hard to dodge was that Kaede was in the middle of performing the kick, his momentum keeping him from suddenly taking a different action.
As that transpired the water of the dragon bullet would come crashing down behind them.

It seemed that the man's fancy new eyes gave Naoki some sort of precognition. Kaede was quite surprised when he found that his move had been read. This put Kaede into yet another predicament, while he did not wish to be defeated he also did not wish to kill the jounin or seriously hurt him in order to prevent a loss. So he went with something else instead. The two hands of Naoki were both going in the general direction of his chest, and for that reason he only needed to create a single chain to start off with. Coming out a maximum speed it took quite a deal of concentration for him to not skewer the jounin almost instantly. The chain shot forth, between the two hands coming towards him and continuing upwards into the air. As the tip of the chain passed by the two of it, from the chain itself shot another two chains each of them going an opposite direction. Set to wrap up and around the wrists of the man that were coming towards him the plan was rather simple. With the original chain still moving forwards the upward momentum would send the arms of Naoki flying up away from Kaede if the chains were successful in wrapping themselves around the wrists. In case the chains were too slow the man adjusted his stance mid-kick, leaning himself backwards as far as he could without toppling over. Of course this did mess up the angle of his own kick with it hitting somewhere around the lower thigh of Naoki as a result of the step forward and the change of stance. Though it would serve well enough to keep himself out of reach long enough for the chains to do their own job. It was if the chains were successful in their endeavor that this would happen. The first chain would cease in it's movement upwards and would arc, changing course to head downwards and wrap around the neck of the jounin. If successful then the ones around the arms would tighten themselves in order to secure the man's arms against his chest and head. All the while Kaede would wait for the attack from behind by the other jounin, which seemed to not be happening anytime soon.

Maybe unfortunately or maybe not, Kaede did something unexpected before Naoki's attack landed. Apparently that amazing six-pack of his was good not only for taking hits - a single chain, just like before, shot from it at an angle, passing straight between Naoki's hands and heading above his head. Before he could abandon his intended attack, two other chains, originating from the first, would appear and wrap around his hands. Not only the original chain's momentum would now drag them into the opposite direction, but also Kaede would decline, leaning back on his leg and slightly increasing the distance between them. It was now officially impossible for Naoki's hit to land. However, there was continuity here. Doing that last move Kaede moved back a bit and so did his leg that was still in a kick. Back for him was forward for Naoki, skipping all the unnecessaries his kick was once again a danger and this time there was no longer any time to avoid it. Having stepped forward into a striking position Naoki's weight was now shifted on his left leg, which was the one being hit. As it would be swooped from under him, he would no doubt fall. However, as his hands were bound by Kaede's chains and the main chain still connected to the leader's lower chest, that would effectively tuck and force Kaede after Naoki as well. The force of Naoki's weight, the gravity and him pulling the chain back himself would be the force that would throw the Uzumaki off balance. That or he would be forced to disconnect the chain from his body, so freeing the Uchiha too.

If the one in a slightly torn black shirt was not to be freed, he would raise his once again changed eyes that now housed three tomoes, indicating a fully evolved sharingan. Being the first to fall, he would also be the first to regain his balance. While still on the ground he would throw the kunai away to rest in the sand until it was needed, then put his hands next to his left foot so that the foot was just over the chain connecting his hands and Kaede's chest. The distance between the connection points must have been less than half a meter, since his hands were fairly close to landing the hit before being bound. It would be at that moment that the chain sent to wrap around his neck would do so and continue by drawing the chain holding his hands to bind and restrain them at his chest. Unfortunately for Kaede that also meant that the same chain connecting them would be tucked in Naoki's direction once again, interrupting whatever attempt he had planned to stand up and dragging him down. With the short distance between the connecting points, if Naoki tried to stand up it would effectively drag Kaede all the way to his foot.

It seemed that Kaede once again was forced into a strange predicament by this rather troublesome jounin. His kick had swept the jounin's leg out from underneath him. Something which Kaede was mildly disappointed with perhaps he had overestimated the skill of the high ranking shinobi of this village? Only his own upper body strength and his foot being anchored to the floor via chakra kept him from losing his balance immediately when he felt the tug of the chain, something which he instantly remedied by allowing the chain to continue to flow out from his chest. Thus when the jounin fell onto the sand Kaede's own balance remained, with both feet now firmly planted on the surface. He noticed movement by the man the kunai being removed from his hand, quite a smart move actually seeing how in the next moment his arms were constrained tightly against his chest, giving no time for the movement made towards his left foot. Though that did not mean that the foot of the man was not to be touched by a chain, quite the contrary in fact, as not but a second later another branch chain was formed from the original. It formed a few inches away from the base of the chain, and immediately shot down towards the legs of the still downed man. If Kaede was not feeling generous he would have impaled the man through his ankles, but instead settled for having the chain move to wrap around the both of them. Regardless of if the legs ended up getting restrained or not Kaede made a show of miming the action of throwing something towards Naoki's head. "Dead." Was what he said before the chain linked to his chest dissolved away freeing the man from the constraints. He said no more but turned around to face the other source of chakra that he felt, in his right hand he began to draw a decent amount of lightning chakra into it. It taking a physical form moments later. Kaede had grown bored of this fight already, and wished to end it rather quickly if the other jounin did actually attempt to be useful.

Now definitely unfortunately Naoki's move did not entirely succeed and Kaede did something he did not know possible before. With the previous assault, where he used the chains to throw the man out of balance and almost land a hit, Naoki assumed that the chains could not be manipulated further after their function, objective was complete - they would shoot towards their target, or do some other thing, and then be dispelled. It would now seem that in that previous scenario Kaede simply did not have time to do something like that, or he was caught unawares, which was more likely, though both being true at the same time was quite possible as well. In this case however, Naoki's actions were right in front of his eyes. And so, when the Uchiha fell and tried to pull the chain, it would simply be extended, none of the desired effects achieved. Further more, his trick with the leg would not work as by the time he would attempt it, his hands would already be restrained by his throat and on top of all that, Kaede would add two more chains that would bind his leg together.

And all this time Naoki's sharingan would be following every Kaede's move, trying to decipher what kind of sorcery this ability of his was. It was certainly not anything his had seen so far, he did not weave any hand seals, there appeared to be no nature manipulation whatsoever, the chains simply manifested. There seemed to be nothing he could use, no weakness to exploit and the ability itself could not be copied as he would not understand it at all. Maybe it had something to do with his clan, maybe. He had heard something about Uzumaki being powerful in sealing arts, though this hardly looked like one.
And so, there was nothing to be done. The chains moved unchallenged as Naoki could hardly keep up with them; soon his whole body - well, at least the parts that would let him do something, really - speaking of which, he could still do the hand seals, even in this state, unfortunately, he needed quite a few of them to get out of this bind and it seemed that he did not have that time. Kaede would gesture throwing something at him, indicating that he could have attacked him in this condition, his little comment only reinforcing this assumption. "Dead" That was true. Had this been a real fight, he would now be entirely in the enemy hands and most likely dead. Then again, had this been a real fight, he would have ran soon after realizing how much stronger his opponent is, who's attacks he can't even track.

After that, the chains would be dispelled, freeing the bound Uchiha, and Kaede would turn to face Shinto. Normally, Naoki would exploit this turn of events and strike in the back of his enemy. Here however, this was a training, a test and the game over he understood well. Cleaning the dust and sand off his clothes, the man would slowly stand up, after grabbing his kunai and hiding it back where it was before. His eyes would not however return to their regular appearance just yet - the fight may be over for him, but Shinto was still undefeated and maybe he would perform better fighting alone, maybe Naoki would get to see some interesting moves. It was sad that the man clearly had no idea what teamwork was and did almost nothing, exploited none of the opportunities created by Naoki. With that the Uchiha would nod to Kaede and walk away, back to the spot where they met up. He would grab a drink from the girl before, find a seat and enjoy the show.

No movement from the other jounin. Kaede let out a sigh, one of disappointment. He couldn't really blame the other man however, after all Kaede too would probably not want to fight against someone this vastly superior. The lightning in his hand dispersed away, it seemed that this jutsu would be saved for another day. "I'm impressed." He spoke aloud, not directing the compliment towards either of the two in particular, though one would assume it was obvious who it was mostly directed at. "Your strength is at a decent level currently, though it would not hurt to get stronger." His features lightened up visibly, his posture relaxing as he exited out from 'battle mode' and back to his normal relaxed stance. "While I would like to stay around for a bit and talk some more with the two of to I cannot unfortunately. Things to do, meetings to prepare for. That sort of stuff." A dismissive wave of his hand accompanied his words, as if he didn't really care much for the meetings themselves. He didn't actually wait for a response, and simply walked off in a random direction. Most likely to continue supervise preparations.

With his eyes closed Naoki would rely on his chakra senses to tell if there was any kind of development. But the time just passed and he could not detect anything happening. When he finished his drink, he would open his eyes again. He would see Kaede dispel the technique he had prepared, the fight appeared to be over. As the man spoke, Naoki's sharingan deactivated - there was no longer any reason to keep it active. The words spoken were a bit of a compliment to Naoki, even if he had lost the fight. Then again, this was never a fight to win, rather to see their strength, all he did was give it his all like he actually meant to win it. Now summarizing the match in his mind the Uchiha decided he did pretty well, considering how much stronger his opponent was. 

And with that, without any prolonged adieu Kaede just said he had stuff to do and left. Naoki stood up as well, brought the empty glass back to the girl, thanked her, learned where she lives and walked off. It would now seem that he was also busy, had stuff to do - specifically, he had to buy a new shirt as this one was more or less torn to pieces. Sad, because he really liked it.
