Kozai got up early in the morning to do some training. He remembered the previous day where he had done wallruns, some fighting, and some training up his strongest jutsu. This would be all very well, but he needed to get stronger than that. He needed to concentrate not on the general aspects of his power, but on the specifics, which he lacked. He got up, all groggy, and went outside. The desert morning was cool, which he enjoyed before the sun started to come up. “Well, let’s get started. I think I’ll train jutsu specifics today, not including my own sensory jutsu. After all, I think I’ve gotten all I want out of that. Let’s train up our water sky convergence, and go from there. Firstly, I need to go out into the desert.”
Kozai headed out of the town, and noticed several things. Firstly, the town was unusually quiet, or at least quieter than usual. Inside the marketplace spheres, there was little buying going on, and then Kozai remembered that it was the start of the week and people were going back to work. Well, it was a good thing he was getting up before rush hour. He kept going, also noticing that the sky was cloudy. Well, that was good, desert rains were known to last for a while without stopping. Now that the seasonal rains were resuming, the aquifer beneath the city would refill, maximizing Kozai’s potential in this area. In addition, he liked rain, which would be useful where they were going next.
Amegakure…. The village hidden in Rain. The legend about Pain of Ame had passed centuries ago, but Ame’s reputation as a depressing modern village continued onward. Personally, Kozai wasn’t too worried because he dealt with a most depressing personality all the time. However, that didn’t really matter at moment, he had to be thinking about the trip ahead. He looked over the street at the library. Hm hum… he decided to go there first. He went inside, and the coolness of the library and the smell of old books rushed over him. “Welp, here I am. Lets see what we can find on Amegakure.” He goes to the World Geography section, and picked out a book titled “Minor Villages”. Apparently, Amegakure had been caught in war after war, which sucked, considering their geographical and thus political location. This meant that they were torn between three separate villages. Now, as a result, they developed extremely quickly.
They had advanced technology, and some kind of weather system at one point in time. This threw Evil Kozai into ecstasy. Kozai grimaced. This guy… his entire existence was based on himself. That was never good, as Kozai knew. Those who were always centered on themselves would never go far as real ninja. As for those missing-nin, they were to be despised. Even that innocent cabbage-selling guy could be a real murderer. He really couldn’t trust him; how did he keep his cabbages fresh while wheeling them all across the world? Maybe he had small cultivation stations along the way, or maybe he used hydroponics. If so, where was his apparatus? Did he use some kind of jutsu to keep his cabbages fresh? Maybe that was his secret. If so, why had he never seen the ninja use it? This was a mystery to solve indeed. He got up and headed out of the library. If it was constantly raining in Ame, then the entire sky would be his weapon, and there would be no one to prevent him from using the environment to his advantage.
He stalked out to the desert, which was pretty cool and windless today. He saw several cacti, which he heard were quite juicy plants and were a good source of water in the wild. They were Crassulacean Acid Metabolism photosynthesis plants, which meant that they did their light reactions during the day, and fixed carbon during the night. Now, that meant that they had unusual photosynthesis cycles, and were classified as separate from C4 and C3 plants. He smiled as he walked toward a cactus. Now, that was truly interesting. This meant that even in the barren desert, he was not defenseless. He swept his hand up, and extracted all the water from the cactus, leaving it withered and brown. He smiled. Now that he could extract water from plants, in areas like deserts and taigas, he was not without weapons. He then proceeded to dash around the desert, destroying cacti like a boss. All he had to do was give a single thought, a single pulse of chakra, and all the water would come ripping through the plant’s stomata, bound by his command.
At that point, Evil Kozai found it fit to take over. “This power is MINE, fool. I’m the one who developed this for you, and you run around killing random cacti like a fool? No! We will head back to the village now and make preparations to leave for Ame, where you will not make such foolish actions.” Kozai took off, clearly pissed. Welp, it didn’t matter, because they were going on a vacation! Technically, it was more like a cultural enrichment course, but it was all the same to Evil Kozai. Anything academic, as long as it didn’t damage him, was perfectly fine. He arrived back and began to pack what few belongings he had.
He went out and breathed in the fresh air. The sky was nice and dark after running around all day, and he enjoyed the cool desert wind. Although it was terribly dry here, Suna was quite the center of social life and commerce, and he hoped to come back here again. After all, who could tell what nice ninja he could find? He smiled and sat down. Soon, he would be on his way to Amegakure, all the way across the continent. He got up, and headed out. Time was of the essence, as he needed to get into contact with Near quickly.
