Meditation by the fountain
Tue Feb 04, 2014 12:13 pm
Youka had taken one of his final days in the village of the leaf to meditate and control his urges that had struck out the night before on a child. He couldn't believe how powerful that kid was and it made his body shake with excitement the more he thought about it. Those were the types of urges he had to learn how to control more and more, they were starting to take hold of his being and push it to the breaking points. He hoped that today with Maku he would be able to calm himself and just focus on molding chakra and feeling out the world and people around him some more.
The village was a peaceful place in the day time where the sun could shine a light on all the darkness keeping it at bay till it had to shrink back into the horizon. It was nothing how he remembered the village at night time, where the shadows played trick on everything and anyone that was fool enough to look on them. The darkness was indeed deep and it could challenge the most honorable person and find their weakness. It was in this sunshine that Youka was able to revert back to himself as kids were playing around him and some had even talked to him for awhile asking what exactly it was that he did.
Of course he would explain he was a priest and that he protected peoples souls from bad things by praying for them. It made the children happy to hear there was someone watching over them while they sleep. Although he told half truths there was indeed a priest praying for their souls it just wasn't him, he constantly thought about murdering every last one of them. When did he become so violent and wish death on so many people, was this the part of darkness that he had gotten from Kenzo, was it so strong that it was messing with even his own mental state. He just smiled at the youngsters around him and closed his eyes.
The darkness was becoming too much that even while his eyes were closed he could envision the fight they had over and over. It wasn't a fight though it was two people beating on each other without form or tact just punches and kicks trying to break bones. He channeled his energies on happier moments which were few but he could still remember his father that had taken care of him, although the face was beginning to disappear from his vision he could still visualize the mans body.
Opening his eyes again he felt better the brisk wind slightly blew pushing his red hair back and forth. Occasionally the wind would hit the water fountain letting some of the sprinkles of water hit the back of the mans neck releasing some of the heat he was feeling. Sending out his chakra senses again he felt around for high signatures in the area, there weren't many but maybe Maku was among them. He would have to focus on learning Maku's signature soon so he would be able to find him faster.
It was only mid day by now and there were people busing around taking care of their plans and whatever else they had going on, there were so many people here Youka found it hard to believe that there was space for them all in the village. Right now however he awaited the arrival of his friend so they could begin in earnest.

Maku had been strolling through the village clearing his head. The images of last night were still in his head, how he had to intervene to stop the fight that his friend Youka had been part of. He had seen a different side of the man, a darker side. However Maku was not really in a position to judge. He had just killed his uncle after all. One of his only remaining family members that he knew about, besides his mother who was currently in Yukigakre, well he assumed she was it’d been a long time since he had heard anything from here.
Arriving near the square, he came upon a huge ornate fountain. It had multiple symbols and figurines on it. In its own way it was surely beautiful, but Maku found it a bit gouty in his opinion. Sitting on the ledge he saw Youka with his eyes closed. Well they were always partially closed, like always. A nice gust had come up and sprinkled his friends face. Walking the rest of the way Maku, took a seat in front of his friend and pulled his legs into a cross-legged position. Speaking through the mark that Hika had given them, he knew only Youka would be able to hear him. “Hello friend, I don’t think the Leaf really agrees with us you know, a lot of risks for death and not enough reward. I think after this bit of meditation it will be time to leave. I wouldn’t mind heading home to Takigakure, though it may be a bit dangerous I am unsure how Saiga my leader will take my absence, but I am sure I can sweet talk him down. One must simply play to anothers vanities. Of course if you have other travel arrangements I am open to hear them.” Maku thought all of this in a very matter of fact voice. He didn’t mind death, he didn’t even mind the risk of death to himself, but he did mind it when it wasn’t gaining him anything. At least risking Saiga’s wrath might gain them a sanctuary and some support. “If we do go to Taki, I think by convincing him that we will further the Waterfall’s goals in our travels he will come to our side, but alas for now let’s get to this training.”
Maku had known that Youka wanted to do some meditation with him, so that they would both be able to sense each other’s chakra signature better, and thusly would be able to keep track of one another in a fight. “Well then how would you purpose we get started?” Maku posed the question, curios what the mans idea of training was. He himself had performed many meditation trainings and even placed himself under various genjutsu in the process to gain strength. It would be nice to see how someone else did it for a change.
Maku still had a lot to learn about the priest who sat in front of him. He had sparred him twice, but still didn’t have the measure of the man. Perhaps in this method of training he would learn more of Youka’s tendencies, and ideologies and what drove the man. Seeing the man fight last night he saw a lot of rage in him, which was something he had not expected. Youka seemed like two ends of a spectrum. One end cool and collected, with compassion while the other burned hot, with hate and rage. This was very different from Maku. While Youka could exhibit both spectrums of emotion, Maku felt himself becoming more and more emotionally monotone. Falling back on logic to make decisions, despite the implications to their humanity. He would have to watch his friend closer, and be the logical voice should he lose control again.

Sensing a chakra grow closer to his location he hears the voice inside his head before opening his eyes to see the boy in front of him. He would reply in turn "You're right friend, we should leave as soon as possible, I'm wanting to get out of here more and more" He would say through their mental link. "We should leave here and maybe train on the borders where we don't have to constantly watch our backs". He would wait to see what his partner would say waiting to answer all the other questions when they were far from here.

Maku was pleased with what he heard. He was glad they were going to forgo the training and get the hell of of hear. Just as he was about to get up to leave, he heard two civilians chatting on the other side of the fountain. this is what he heard.
"Yea, no kidding this guy killed the IWA leader, beheaded him or some shit."
"No way Bobby, cant believe it, I heard it was Echo the invincible, could be trouble who knows what hes up to"
"Not Echo, that guy is crazy, and he ripped me off on his book as well."
At this point Maku tuned the two men out. A new leader, sounded like an interesting change of circumstances for Iwagakure. Maybe he and Youka could start there and make a mark. He liked the freedom of moving around, but having such a powerful ally and a home, had its rewords as well. "Youka why don't we head to Iwagakure and see about these rumors. A new leader would have use of new ninja. Maybe we could raise in the ranks there and accomplish more than we can on our own. What do you think?"
If Youka agreed then Maku would lead the way to the gates to leave this damn village.
